New Moon & Eclipse to be Filmed Back-to-Back, and Casting Notes

Summit Entertainment has started preparing the sequel New Moon, based on Stephenie Meyer’s second book in the series, and to contain costs, the studio is filming the third book, Eclipse, back to back using the same new director. Filming begins on New Moon in March, 2009, and will continue right through completion of Eclipse

    Breaking Dawn is more Controversial it wouldn't be the same PG-13 base. So if they did do it like the book it would be more a 14A or PG-13 without the gore of the birth scene, I also hope they make Breaking Dawn but I don't think Summit will decide that until after the progress of the next two in theaters.

  • I wish to wish all pregnant women of good mood, easy pregnancy and natural sorts! Good luck also are happy! Give birth easily and independently! Let not doctors give birth for you, and you! Also adjust itself on chest feeding of the kid! Read the necessary information! Be, lovely pregnant mums and expecting posterities of the daddy, are healthy and wise!

    i wonder than, how long must we wait between the NM and Eclipse releases? Novemeber is already too long for me for NM but if i have to wait till november 2010 to see eclipse ima tripp!

    they already have bought the writes to all 4 books so im pretty sure there going to be breaking dawn into a movie plus it would be kind of jacked up if they stopped at eclipse and im sure everyone wants to see what the wedding looks like and see bell as a vampire. lets also not forget the other covens of vampires and renesmee

    The new moon release date is 20th novemer '09 and eclipse release date is 30th june '10 wich is only 6th months apart so they are filming both filmes together but releasing them as TWO movies.The same will happen with breaking dawn beacause the book is so big they are sprlitting it into two movies.This is set to be filmed when eclipse is released in june'`10


    cant wait its only like a year and half away and we have TWO!!! more films

    I read about Dakota Fanning being officially cast as Jane. It says that they're probably going to give 'Eclipse' to do a different director because Weitz will be in post production for 'New Moon' when 'Eclipse' begins filming, it even says a few new directors that are being considering. I'm guessing they haven't finished casting for 'Eclipse' if it has a new director too... I don't know. That's my theory..

    i really hope they'll make breking dawn in to a movie, i love the book , i've read it like 6 times already and i got it last month, i spent hours reading dat book !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I CAN NOT WAIT IN TILL NEW MOON AND ECLIPSE!!!!!!!!!! This is gonna be hard waiting 6 more months for new moon i'm gonna go INSANE!!!!!! I hope they make Breaking Dawn, I heard they might make it as two movie that would be awesome and uncool b/c I just wanna see the whole thing, but then if there's two more TWILIGHT MOVIES!!! YAY!! :) :)
