New Moon & Eclipse May Be Filmed Together

There is an indication that New Moon & Ecliipse may be filmed at the same time–or one after the other–just like the Lord of the Rings films.

“It’s been discussed,” producer Greg Mooradian revealed to MTV News. “I can’t tell you we’re at that place yet, but it’s definitely been discussed.”
The advantages to such a plan are obvious: Rather than building sets and tearing them down only to be re-built a few years later, they can film multiple scenes; instead of selling vehicles and re-buying them (such as Carlisle Cullen’s Mercedes, which can be seen here), they can hold on to them; rather than having thirty-year-old actors pretending to still be in high school, they can stay the same age in each film.

If true, this means a shorter wait after New Moon for Eclipse–and who can complain about that?

Sure, there are a lot of good things about it, but their first priority have to be that the script is done properly!
If they really wanted to do it in one then plz,plz,PLZ! take ur time, so it wont end in a disaster!

I would like it if they made both the movies in good quality so they wouldn't be horrible(although even if it was terrible I'd still go see it to see Robert Pattinson).If they could make them in good quality and have them done by the end of 2009 that would be awesome

They could do it together if they wanted but don't release them at the same time . Just close. They also should make Breaking Dawn into a movie. if they didn't I would probably get like bella was in new moon. It is when bella turns into a vampire and i want to see her get her wish.

I like the filming together but releasing them seperate. Also Stephaine Meyer said that she wasn't going to produce Breaking Dawn until they come up with special effects good enough to not make the birth look cheesy. I hope they come up with these effects soon. =]

That means that we woulnt have to wait for breaking dawn to be released till 2012 and have to watch the charactors age even though they are not supoded to.

I also think that breaking dawn should be made into a movie, not only beacuse of the book, but beacuse scence they already started the sequels they should coninue. I belive it will be filmed and hopefully with better effects because breaking dawn is the last book and is when bella beacomes a vampire and when she gets what she wants. it ties EVREYTHING in all four books and moives together, it would be horrilble to see them not complete the whole saga.

I think that it is a great idea to do both it would probably save them time and money and we wouldn't have to wait as long for the third movie.

I think its good for them to film new moon and eclipse at the same time that I wont have to wait to long for the other to come out but please do it right like the book and dont mess anything up

I don't mind the idea of filming both movies at the same time and I do agree with others, please don't release them at the same time....I just can't wait to see them...I love each and every book, but my favorites are Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!! I definitely can't wait for Breaking Dawn to make it to the big screen!!! Oh and I hope they follow the book and not change it!!!

ALL IN ALL this makes the most since, they would make a hellva alot money just off these two movies, THEN have Breaking Dawn Released about 1 1/2 years later.

it just makes more sense to film some of the scenes at the same time because it makes it a lot cheaper for the film makers, which = more profit for summit/the franchise, and a more likelihood of Breaking Dawn to be made, and in a timely fashion if they are already done/almost done with Eclipse... it does not mean what so ever that new moon and eclipse would become one movie. That one makes no sense financially and two go reread the story and thats not what it says.

omg it would be awesome if they shoot eclipse straight after new moon casue then they we wont have to wait and it will be everyone no one will get replaced and of course the actors will be dead off thier feet but hey its a job and its money who can complain :P
