200901182219.jpg Are you a young Native American, or do you know someone that is? Well you might just be perfect for a part in the wolf pack of New Moon. But be quick, the deadline is at the end of this month!—

We’re very excited to announce that the wonderful and supremely qualified René Haynes is helming the Native American casting on “New Moon”…AND she wants to hear from everyone who fits the qualifications of the roles.

Now, before everyone hyperventilates, please read the following instructions and follow them TO THE LETTER, in order to ensure your chances at being considered for the film:

SEEKING NATIVE AMERICAN TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS

Casting Director René Haynes and her staff are very happy to accommodate any Native teens and young adults (who look very youthful) who are interested in sending them an audition.

HOW TO SUBMIT

First thing to do if you fit the specs is to email a recent photo and your contact information to: info@rhcasting.com.

They are not currently seeking submissions for any roles other than the ones mentioned here, so only respond if you meet the above requirements.

   * For the love of Edward, do not attempt to call the casting office.

   * Repeat: Do not call the casting office.

   * One more time? Please, please, please do not call the casting office.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

You will be sent a package that has very specific instructions, as well as the deadline, which is January 30.

I would love to play in now moon but I know I can't...I have a friend that is going to be in the movie so I know I can't be in it =(

I'm from the Omaha nation, but my grandaughters and sons live in Klamath falls and they'd would have been ideal natives to play in that native part. The Tribe should have been consulted and maybe some tribal members considered. After all, some of Meyers books were about them, if it was not specially spelled out. Yes, use natives for native roles, why travel over seesea to get someone. from other countries. However, Edward is outstanding. Yeah... Hey, Mel Gibson for his latest movie used native/hispanic descents. His main actor was a fancy dancer known throughout Indian country. I'd like my granddaughters to get into one of the movies. I have some right here in Omaha Nebraska actors and actress. Some in sacramento, Ca.

why not search among the Quileute Nation for Quileute characters?????
cosidering the fact that the legend of the "QUILEUTE" wolf pack thing is based on "QUILEUTE legand to begin with.
Come on casting director folks show some respect ??????
Have the directors and casting crew even asked the QUILEUTE ELDERS how they feel about the way "THEIR" legend is being played out in this whole movie series saga thing???????
"Respect" ......like "Please" and "Thank You" you know the "NICE"and "POLITE" words we are all tought the meaning of early in life.....yet to often forget to say at the right times....
One of my Elders taught me early in life......ONE OF THE GREATEST REGRETS,WE AS HUMAN BEINGS CAN EVER HAVE, IS HOW WE "CHOOSE" TO TREAT ONE ANOTHER"....

Omg. I wish i could play Seth.. too bad i'm a girl. Thats so sad. I would most definetly loove to play Leah, but i'm not old enough. Too bad.

Wait.. since all the werewolf boys have like massive muscles.. does that mean Leah does too?.. These are the questions that haunt me..

    Oh ya and :Team Switzerland
    I like sparkles and puppies
    Jasper+Jacob+James+Seth+Me= SHAZZAMM!

I also agree that Jacob should have been played by a real native american not someone who claims to have native american roots but i cant say i dont like him. im pretty sure they will find HOTT native americans :o)

interesting, but seriously, casting Natives in the minor rolls is tjust throwing them a bone isn't it? The main Native character is played by a white guy. They should have sent this call out before and had a REAL NATIVE play Jacob Black.

I hope they use no name native american teen actors, it would work well because you dont want the charaters in the book, becoming the native celeb, you want the native actor to become the character in the book, thats my point of view as a critic and please dont use no more short natives.....its starting to ruin the image we have of them from the books....good luck rene alot is riding on you..
