Dakota Fanning Thinks Robert Pattinson is “Very, Very Cute” [Video]

200901311204.jpg MTV has a interview with Dakota Fanning during her press for her other new movie Coraline and she talks a bit about New Moon, the Volturi, and how hot Robert Pattinson is–

And, naturally, since Dakota is a teenage female, we couldn’t resist asking the obvious question: If the actress shot a scene opposite heartthrob Robert Pattinson, could she keep herself under control?

“He is very, very cute,” she giggled. “But I’m sure I would be.

“The part that I play gets to interact with a lot of the characters, so that would be cool,” Fanning added. “[The Volturi] are kind of mean. I think it would be definitely a different part than I’ve ever played — and I’d get to be a little evil for once.”

    I highly doubt that she's read the books. When he asked, she said that she hasn't read all of them but she's seen the movie. Then everything else she said about Jane was completely basic stuff like Jane's mean. She's part of the Volturi. She's pale.


    Don't get me wrong, I think she would be great as Jane. Did anyone else notice this as well?

Jane is described by Stephenie Meyer as having lank, pale brown hair with a body that was almost black, wide-eyed and full-lipped. Just check out page 456 of New Moon. PLEASE keep it real for the true fans of Stephenie Meyer.

    The part that says "almost black" is referring to the cloak she is wearing, not her body. Dakota Fanning might not look just how we picture Jane, but I really think it's such a small part that it doesn't make that big of a difference. What I can't understand is how such a famous actress would be willing to play a small part. Personally, I think it would be better if the films continued their trend of picking actors that aren't very well-known but that fit the part pretty well.

    I agree, and I am afraid that if Dakota is Jane, Jane will suddenly become more of a central character and that will annoy many of us book fans.

    I agree with you, and it would be incredibly annoying. To me, Jane is a very minor character in all the books. She has a lot of power, but she's not the leader of the Volturi, so I feel like the role would be somewhat ruined if they tried to shove her in it more just to give Dakota more screen time.

    Well honestly i think that the part isn't really that small, if you think about it. we still have the other books. she has a big part in the near end of Breaking Dawn.(if she is still gonna play Jane then) But still that is a good point. I don't want them to change anything. I am so nervous. I don't want this to turn out like twilight. They left out most my favorite book parts in twilight movie.
