Quileute:
Sam Uley: 20 years old, he is a tall, strong Quileute Indian with cropped hair and a fierce expression, he is the leader of the wolf pack.
Jared and Paul: 17 and 18 years old, respectively. They are Quileute Indians, friends of Sam’s, with cropped hair, sleeveless shirts and cut offs. They watch Bella with ferocity in their eyes. They are in the wolf pack.
Embry Call: 16 years old, he is a tall, thin, laid back Quileute Indian with chin-length black hair. He is Jacob’s friend and eventually becomes a wolf.
Quil Ateara: 16 years old, he is a short, stocky, feisty Quileute Indian with short black hair. Also Jacob’s friend, he is the last one to morph into a wolf.
Emily: 20 years old, she is a beautiful Quileute Indian with a long dark face. She is Sam’s girlfriend. One half of her face has been mangled with scars and lines and a twisted mouth and a pulled eye.
Harry Clearwater: 46 years old, he is a stout Quileute Indian with dark braids, a protruding stomach and a kind face. He is part of the search party for Bella, and then later for the “monster” in the woods.
Italy/Vampires:
Marcus and Caius: Volturi, the equivalent of vampire royalty, they are fierce killers. They are dressed in rich silk robes, each with long hair that falls loose around their face and they have translucent, onion-like white skin.
Felix: 20′s, a stunningly handsome hooded figure with unsettling burgundy-red eyes, he is one of the Volturi guards. Felix is large, tall, and thick and very dangerous.
Demetri: 20′s, also a Volturi guard, Demetri is slender and elegant….he is more gracious than Felix, but no less dangerous.
Jane: A slender and petite young woman, hooded, with a Botticelli angel-like face, she is also a Volturi guard. Jane has crimson irises. Demetri and Felix are three times the size of her but are terrified of her.
Alec: Jane’s twin brother and a member of the Volturi guards.
Heidi: A beautiful vampire who leads a group of tourists. She gives a flirtatious smile to Demetri.

Something to hold us over till New Moon hits in November–Summit has released the swank official box art for the Twilight DVD, which will be a two disc special edition, and has announced a tentative release date: March 21st. Amazon has also put up a pre-order notification page so you can get an e-mail when it’s available for pre-order.
With New Moon’s filming schedule at superspeed now that it’s getting the fast track, confirmation has come in that the recently shaved vamp Robert Pattinson has dropped from the indie flick Parts Per Billion that was supposed to begin filming this month.
Although co-star/producer Rosario Dawson had expressed enthusiasm about working with the “Twilight” heartthrob as recently as December 16, a representative for Pattinson confirmed that he is no longer involved.
“What you heard is correct,” the 22-year-old star’s agent, Nicholas Frenkel, replied to an MTV News query Tuesday (January 6). “Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on ‘New Moon’ haven’t left enough time for Robert to work on ‘Parts per Billion’ in the first quarter of this year.”
Although I would have personally loved to see him pushing his acting chops in Parts Per Billion, which promised “three stages of love; three stages of life; before, during and after the end of the world”, I would say this news comes as a relief for fans of New Moon–it indicates that Pattinson will be dedicating the necessary time in his schedule to getting New Moon right.
EW reports that Hollwyood sources are indicating that Taylor Lautner will keep his role as Jacob Black in New Moon!
According to sources around Hollywood, things may start looking very hairy for Taylor Lautner. The actor — not to mention legions of Twilight fans — has been desperate to learn whether Summit Entertainment will cast him once more as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel New Moon.
EW has confirmed that the actor has not only met with director Weitz, but was even screen-tested for chemistry with Kristen Stewart. ”I’m very hopeful,” a New Moon insider says of Lautner. ”We’re not looking at anybody else.”
Not only that, we should know for surethis week who is in and who is out! Sounds like a howl of a good time! We’ll let you know as soon as anything is confirmed for certain!
The web is abuzz that the coveted role of Leah Clearwater, the female werewolf in New Moon, may be going to either Vanessa Hudgens or Brenda Song. Both are 20 year old Disney alumni with singing/acting careers. Here are the positives for each actress as we see them:

New Moon takes a globe-trotting stop in Volterra, Italy in order to visit the Volturi vampire coven that lives there. But the question remains: where will the movie actually film the Italian segments? New Moon casting information we’ve gathered so far indicates that the filming locations are LA, Vancouver and Rome.
But why Rome? Fellow Twihard Sarah Braasch relates her travels to Volterra with this (imagined?) press release from a “Volturi spokeswoman” and tickles the eyes with a gallery of Volterra locations:
Volturi spokeswoman Heidi explained, “Why go anywhere else? Why recreate Volterra when you can have Volterra? When we heard that Summit was considering shooting in Rome in lieu of Volterra, we knew that we had to do something. We wanted to show them just how beautiful, cool, photogenic, and atmospheric Volterra is. There is no replacement. And, we know that the Twilight fandom will agree.”
