90210 redux star AnnaLynne McCord–rumored real-life girlfriend of Kellan Lutz–could be playing Heidi in New Moon, E! reports—
Another 90210-er may be making a stop in the Twilight zone.
I’m hearing that filmmakers have been considering the idea of casting 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi in the upcoming New Moon, the much-anticipated sequel to Twilight.
Heidi isn’t a major character in the book, but McCord definitely has the gorgeous looks to pull it off.
The character is a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She’s also known as “bait” because of the way she uses her stunning looks to attract humans. In her brief appearance in the book, Bella describes Heidi as having “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty. She has stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.
Sources tell me McCord has auditioned for the role. “It’s not a big part,” one of the sources said. “Heidi would be more like a cameo.”
As well all know, Heidi is “bait” in New Moon because she dressed in such a sexy manner for the Volturi–in order to lure in prey. But, did you know that Heidi was named after Stephenie Meyer’s sister?
TwiCrack has managed to dig up this epic 17-minute audio interview that French Twilight fansite Impossible Fascination did over the phone with Ashley Greene. Apparently, Greene stormed through Twilight in “a day and a half”–and is looking forward to the larger role that Alice plays in New Moon.
Check out the whole thing–but be warned–awkward transcontinental pauses were definitely not lost in translation. Despite the language barrier, Ashley Greene is a champ and gives a very in-depth look at her role in the Twilight series.

That’s right folks! We’ve been working on a new design for the top of the site for a while, and it’s ready. The big change, besides the spiffy new picture, is the handy links to features that you might have missed and to items such as the current contest and New Moon Celebration.
Thanks so much to AnaB, who made the gorgeous Jacob/Bella/Edward graphic that I used for the Header. It looks fantastic, doesn’t it? Be sure to check out more of her work at her web gallery: http://anab.deviantart.com , or contact her at anabdesign@gmail.com to let her know what a great job she did.
I mixed her creation with a Creative Commons Licensed Photo from AtomicJeep to make it the full width.
A fantastic new book has just been announced on Stephenie Meyer’s site, and it’s Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight Director’s Notebook. It sounds like great behind-the-scenes-look at the mind behind the Twilight movie! –
Designed to replicate the director’s own personal notebook that she kept on set, readers will discover the inside secrets on casting, location scouting and wardrobe to storyboard sketches, behind-the-scenes photographs, personal notes about Catherine’s favorite scenes and much more. This one-of-a-kind experience for all Twilight fans will be released in hardcover for $17.99 with an announced first printing of 500,000 copies.
Hardwicke had this to say about the book to EW–
“With this book, I tried to show fans and future directors some of the process that the crew and I went through filming Twilight,” said Hardwicke, who started as a prodcution designer for films like Tank Girl and Vanilla Sky before making her directorial debut with 2003’s Thirteen. “My challenge was to translate Stephenie [Meyer]’s powerful book and make you feel what she makes you feel when you read her works.”
Looks like New Moon is making a big effort to find Native American actors and actresses. First, a three city search in British Columbia– this time, it’s Phoenix, AZ:
New Moon Casting Director for Native Americans, Rene Haynes, is holding auditions to find Native American teens. She is seeking young men 15 to 20 years of age, and young women between the ages of 18 to 20, for speaking roles in the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon. The auditions will be held at the Phoenix Indian Center.
No acting experience is necessary, just an out-going enthusiasm and the desire to be a positive role model for other Native Youth.
”I just know I’m too much of a wuss for Stephen King’s books,” admits Stephenie Meyer, sweet-voiced author of Eclipse, the third book in her hugely successful ”vampire love saga” for young adults. ”I’m waaay too chicken to read horror.”
Is it just me, or is this Meyer’s really sweet way of saying “that dude writes some crazy #$@#!”?
Looks like Melissa Rosenberg’s statement that the cast is already on set wasn’t talking about the stars–and more likely just the crew and production support. Check out these pics of a groggy-looking Kristen Stewart taking her doggie to the vet in LA yesterday morning that prove Stewart’s not in Vancouver.
