AnnaLynne McCord Nearly Played Rosalie in Twilight

90210 star AnnaLynne McCord is still in negotiations to play Volturi temptress Heidi in New Moon, saying there are still some scheduling conflicts to work out. But what is quite interesting is that she revealed in a new MTV article she almost played Rosalie in Twilight–

Something that few Twilighters realize, however, is that the vampire-loving actress nearly played Nikki Reed’s part in the original film. “They wanted me to play Rosalie,” she recalled. “I met with the producers when ‘Twilight’ was casting, the original. I was on ‘Nip/Tuck’ at the time. And they were like, ‘We’d love to have you in this little film we’re doing called ‘Twilight,’ but the family only has small roles.’ They were like, ‘It shoots in Oregon, so you probably couldn’t do it anyway.’ And I was like, ‘If it shot [in L.A.] that would be cool.”
“Then this little film ‘Twilight’ blows up, crazy,” she laughed, enjoying her seemingly predestined participation in the franchise. “So, I came back in for a [recent 'New Moon'] meeting and was like, ‘Hey, remember me? I supported you way back when!’ I’m like, ‘Let’s do this!’”

I don't think she would have been good as Rosalie. I can see her as Heidi though. Nikki Reed is the only one i want to play Rose.

No offense to Nikki Reed (because she did do a good job) but I think AnnaLyne looks more like I pictured Rosalie. Oh well, no biggie. She is beautiful enough to be a Heidi so I hope she gets the part.

she would have been way better than nikki, Nikki Reed isn't as beautiful as rosalie should be, and I know, no one is, but the could have done way better

Nikki did a good job, BUT I agree I see more Annalyne in Rosalie than Nikki. I think the fact that Nikki is brownhaired and they had to bye her hair it didnt look quite right. Also it looks at times like Nikki is caked in foundation makeup in the film, I understand she is supposed to be pale white, but the makeup just looked to thick.

Umm this seems kind of off to me. So she turns down the part before when Twilight was a "small movie" and obviously of no interest to her. But now that it's blown up and become a huge deal, she wants in? I mean come on. "I supported you way back when. Let's do this" ??? Who does she think she is.
Honestly, I don't know hardly anything about her, but seems to me a little selfish after reading about that. Maybe I'm wrong. But still. I think actors who actually want the part for the art of acting should be cast.

yea i totally agree with you on this. yeah she is beautiful and she COULD have played good rosalie, i mean she does look kind of bitchy but you cant just turn something down because its not big enough for you and then come back when its huge and say 'hey i want in".
besides nikky reed doesnt look like rosalie but she does an amazing job as her.
she only had a few lines and they were brilliant!!!! i love rosalie just beacuse of her.
good luck on getting the part tho... if you want to be a part of twilight fine but heidi's part is this [.] big so break a leg in your 1 line.

I thought Nikki did a great job in the movie. Don't know how AnnaLynne would have done it, but I think she will be a great Heidi ;)!

yeah brittney, i honestly, completely agree with you. Rosalie did a good job and hello? she now wants to join the movie because it did a full blast? duh? how cruel of her...selfish-creature-thing. i hope she'll read this...i like rosalie though she hates bella at first. and nikki is just sooo beautiful. she fits the role perfectly.

I loved Nikki as Rosalie I couldn't picture AnneLynne as her. It's bad that she wants to be in New Moon because it so popular but she only couldn't do the role becasue it wasn't in LA so it's not like she never wanted to be apart of it and who wouldn't want to be apart of it I mean Twilight is so huge right now I can't really be mad about people wanting to get on board because I wish I could but since I can't act thats not happening lol. She looks like a good Heidi anyway.

I agree with Marissa having not such big name stars in Twilight is what I think made it work and I wish they would think about that when casting all the new actors like they say if it ain't broke don't fix it samething goes for the soundtrack no disney pop.

I personally think that she's pretty good for the role Heidi. About Rosalie,i think neither of them is beautiful enough to be her. Well,I pictured Rosalie being so different from Nikki or AnnaLynne.

What the hell is she thinking!!!! I mean she wasn't interested in playing Rosalie in twilight and now that the movie is popular she wants to replace niki!!! That's so not fair, but somehow it's always like this.... I think they also wanted to replace Emma Watson when Harry Potter got too popular... But I do want Niki Reed to stay...
