i really think its bec. of harry potter 7..it obvious, they are scared..you cannot beat a good movie and books..twilight saga is horrible..i mean i like the first one twilight and new moon.hate eclipse and breaking dawn..the story is so awful

Yaay.... but i have to say that they are rushing it way too fast, i actually heard that they are shooting new moon and eclipse together, that would explain why the dates are so close together. i'm really excited about new moon and eclipse... but i hope they have alot more detail than twilight did. i mean.. has anyone noticed that half of that movie wasnt in the book at all, and in my opinion the other half wasn't done right...

Twilight, the movie, very accurately brought Edward and Bella's story to life. As an avid reader, it is one of the only films based on a book that was not a disappointment. It would be a complete letdown to all fans if the sequels are not completed with the same beauty and vision. If it takes time, then take it.

Well, if each one of the directors actually follows the books, then the movies, though directed by different people, should not waver severely. But I really don't see how they could do it any other way. They have to film it back to back because a majority of the actors are not supposed to age. Therefore, they are shooting New Moon and Eclipse back to back. And while Eclipse is being shot, Weitz will be in Post-Production with New Moon. Summit is just trying to keep everything within a reasonable time period, but at the same time, please the wanting-more Twilight fans. And that has to be tough.

But don't get me wrong, I am really excited about this. I never would have imagined that Eclipse would be out this early. But now, after being presented with the idea, I see no other way, to be honest.

I read somewhere else, not sure where, but I read that they were going to film New Moon and Eclipse back to back, which is obvisously what they are doing and then would release those two and start Breaking Dawn after that. I'm sure the actors will get a "rest period" in between times...but they have to rush it because they "can't age."

Summit are putting a lot of pressure on themselves and the cast and crew by announcing the release date before even starting filming for new moon and when they are currently directorless. Despite it being unlikely I am kind of hoping for Catherine Hardwicke will be back to direct Eclipse, very unlikely i know but one can always hope, because imo having three different directors for the films isn't going to work. Yes the films i believe will still be good/great but diffferent directors have different ways of doing things and together I don't think the films will "look" right and the different director styles will be noticeable.

I can honestly say that I won't be surprised if the date is pushed back, I along with many other fans will be disappointed if this happens and some will most likely be angry xP But if it means that we have to wait and extra month or two I won't mind if it means that the film is that much better because shooting and other aspects of production isn't so rushed and cast and crew aren't under so much pressure.

yeaa but also you have to remember that new moon had been done since like the summer, but they didnt release it till november bc HP was coming out and HP had already moved there release date when the first twilight came out. so new moon decided to move theres till november. and they've been filming eclipse for a while now. soo yeaa. but i cant wait either eclipse was good. and im excited to see what they do on the big screen
