I actually like My Chemical Romance. Their music really wouldn't fit the soundtrack though, they're right about that. They do have some songs that might fit (Vampires Will Never Hurt You, House of Wolves, I'm Not Okay) but overall I don't think it would work. I think it's kind of cool of them not to do the soundtrack, some of the artists on the Twilight soundtrack were just in it because Twilight has a huge fanbase. And anyone that thinks My Chemical Romance is emo hasn't listened to hardly any of their songs, although I'll admit they've gotten more emo.

New Moon is better off without them. I just hope that Madana and Hillary Duff stay out of it as well. If they get in on the sound track, they might as well queue up MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice next.

My Chem is one of my favorite bands, but I am so relieved that they don't want to be on New Moon!
Because Gerard is absolutely right: they don't fit at all! that's a love story, and even though it is about vampires and My Chem has a special look/reputation their music really doesn't fit... and I'm proud of them for being unlike everyone else and don't want to be part of it :)
