Care to be watch some spoilers in advance of the Twilight DVD that you’ve already pre-ordered? TwiCrack has discovered a major find–all the extended scenes from the Twilight DVD bonus material have been leaked, totaling nearly 10 minutes of footage with narration by Catherine Hardwicke between sections. Watch it while it’s hot, as I have a feeling it won’t be up for long.
Kristen Stewart gave a brief interview to EW during press for her new indie flick The Cake Eaters, where she plays a girl with the disease Friedreich’s Ataxia. Concerning New Moon, she had this to say–
“It’s a lot different, also, from the first,” she adds. “It’s a very different story. A lot happens: [Bella] doesn’t have [Edward] anymore, and she’s also in a place where she has to step up and kind of become more mature, and to see her deal with life without him is going to be interesting. … It’s all very epic and convoluted.”
Access Hollywood has posted the first deleted scene from Twilight–and it’s a whopper. Bella and Edward fall, then Bella licks her finger after rubbing it in Edward’s mouth. More deleted scenes are coming very soon. [thanks, Rachel!]
Kristen Stewart has addressed the negative buzz about her recent harsh words in the Nylon interview. She talks to fans in a new Collider interview, explaining that–
Stewart is adamant that her words are being taken out of context—professing, believably might I add—to having nothing but the utmost respect and care for the Twilight story and situation as a whole. “I love the Twilight fans. I have literally never said anything remotely negative about them,” she told us.
Kristen Stewart also talks a bit about New Moon, and how it is different from Twilight:
It’s a completely different story. It’s like it completely undermines the first,” she explained. “Edward’s gone and for me that was the whole story. It’s hard for me to get past—I don’t know how Bella’s going to deal with that. She matures. A lot. And it’s a much more painful story than the first one. It’s actually quite devastating. It’s a smaller scale as well. She’s very solitary for quite a while, so that will be interesting. I’m excited about that.”
I get the feeling that she is being genuine rather than just faking it with damage control. What do you guys think?
Brenna Lee Roth, daughter of rocker dad David Lee Roth, has apparently been cast in New Moon and offers details in a brand new interview with MarketSaw3D. I have to say that the whole interview confuses me–she talks about New Moon in the past tense, as if some of the filming is already completed. There is no word as to who she will be playing, but here are a few of the details she revealed:
“Fans of the series will really love it, it’s spot on to the book. Way closer to the book than I think expected. Chris was a great director he really challenged me.”
“All I can say is that, NEW MOON is shot in the middle of nowhere! And fans still find the set and take pictures of every little thing. It’s crazy. The fans were great.”….
About the Quileute tribe, she says that “Wardrobe was good. Nailed exactly what I thought of when I was reading the book.”
About preparing for the role: “I worked out a lot. [...] I did boxing training, a lot of wire work on set, and I had to learn how to swing a sword while driving a motorcycle, I am pretty sweet at it but I doubt I could use that knowledge in everyday life.”
Swords? On motorcycles? Fans already have pictures? Wha?
UPDATE: As our “Wha?” indicates, be suspicious, be very suspicious. This article is a spoof and has been edited to remove mentions of New Moon–you can totally dismiss it, it is not true and is a marketing ploy for her other film. They even created a doctored photograph of a New Moon script on the same site, which is why we decided to run it: Brenna Lee Roth Interview: “The Birds” In 3D? Clooney & Watts Still Attached? Crepusculo-Es is displaying quite the variety of Twilight DVDs. The Spanish market is receiving a special treat with four unique character covers for the Twilight DVD. The covers are reversible, meaning you’ll get the standard Twilight cover on the front and a surprise character cover inside that you can flip around and use instead. Apparently, the official Spanish Twilight site will offer the other covers for download so you can print the one you like most, and they will also add new characters in the future for those that register.
There is also a version of the Crepúsculo DVD with a built-in 40 page full color booklet. To top it all off, there is an Ultimate Edition housed in a box similar to the Amazon Blu-Ray set, but with different knick-knacks–such as a metal case with the Cullen Family Crest that houses three DVDs (the third disc with a digital copy), an Alice Necklace, an exclusive poster, six postcards, a bookmark, a Lion & Lamb Keychain and a certificate of authenticity. Wowzers! Bad news is you’ll have to wait for April 22nd for all this goodness to be unleashed. Check after the break for a closer look at the covers. [click to continue…]

It has just been announced that Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart may be working together on the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, but it won’t be the only film that they share. Variety ’s Michael Fleming includes this line at the end of today’s article concerning The Runaways–
Fanning, who most recently starred in “The Secret Life of Bees” and “Push,” and voiced “Coraline,” is also booked to play a vampire in the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon.”
So, unless this is a slip up, I think it’s safe to say Variety has just moved the Dakota-Fanning-as-Jane idea from rumor to fact.
