Lainey Gossip has another report on the state of the New Moon cast in Vancouver–apparently they’re some of them are headed out of town for a bit now that pre-production is over:
Last night several cast members went out for dinner including Kristen Stewart and of course Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, and Rachelle Lefevre and Edi Gathegi. Robert Pattinson was not with them. In fact, Robert Pattinson has completed his preparation and is not required at work in Vancouver for another several weeks. Vampire vanishes…
Here he is Jackson Rathbone at Vancouver airport taking off today with his new Jasper hair. Very well worn pair of pants, non? Seems like a confident, easy going, not awkward all the time dude. Good.
Also Jackson’s castmates – Ashley Green with whom he arrived at the airport (there’s a teddy bear in her bag) and was seen on a coffee run the other day… is there something going on? Rachelle yesterday morning with all that amazing hair, and Elizabeth Reaser who has some odd footwear options considering it’s only Starbucks.
Kristen Stewart left Vancouver today too. These are photos of her at the airport. She’s on Kimmel tonight. Hopefully more chatty than she was with Letterman.
You know that set of red buildings out in the countryside we saw a video of earlier that could potentially be the New Moon set for Jacob’s house and garage? Guess what else was outside the house?
At the same location there is an old Volkswagen Rabbit in front of the buildings that could certainly be the 1986 VW Rabbit that Jacob owns.
Big thanks to NewMoonMovie.org Chat admin VancouverVamp for providing this exclusive first look! Check the jump for more pictures of the red house and garage, plus what looks like some nautically themed set dressing–including a boat, crab traps, and line floats!
Nikki Reed and Rachelle LeFevre present the deleted scenes from Access Hollywood that we’ve seen previously [1st, 2nd, 3rd], but this time they add fan comments! Best fan comment: “That man is liked melted butter on my bagel.” They also talk a bit about how close the New Moon script is to the book.
Just Jared Jr. reports the crew had a dinner together last night, and the Rathbone spilled some news about filming–
Thursday night, the whole New Moon cast – including Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre and Robert Pattinson – headed to Gotham Steakhouse for dinner.
As as the cast was leaving, Jackson, 24, revealed to paparazzi that filming for New Moon will be starting earlier than anticipated. He shared, “[Rehearsals] They’re going great, they’re going great. We’re actually going to start filming on Monday, so be sure to check it out.”
Tonight, Kristen Stewart will be on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show to promote her new movie Adventureland. Wonder if he’ll ask her any New Moon questions? Tune in to see! [thanks, Linda H!]
People interviewed Nikki Reed, and she talks about how proud she is of Taylor Lautner working so hard to land the role of Jacob Black on the New Moon cast–and how she first heard about him getting the role: while in Africa!
“Everybody knew he was going to have to fight for this,” says Reed, 20, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale. “He was at the gym twice or three times a day. He was on a nutrition and workout regime for the last year not knowing if he would be in this film.”
“We were all on edge,” Reed says about waiting to hear if Lautner had been cast again as Jacob. “It got closer and closer, and it was heartbreaking. Kristen [Stewart] and I were in Africa when we got the call saying he got the part. She’s so stoked.”
I’m starting to get New Moon deja-vu! I thought I had posted this interview already–maybe even in video form around a week ago– as I remember in particular the Africa detail, but I can’t find it anywhere. I’m going New Moon loco! Thanks Chyla T. for calling it to my attention (again?)!
YouTuber sunnykins has spotted some potential New Moon set activity, with a UVO–unidentified Volvo object–on the side of the road, and some folks painting a shed red–
I have heard from a good source that this property is being rented for the Twilight sequel New Moon….The only people on the set at the moment were set designers painting the shed/barn red. I live in a pretty small town or Port Coquitlam B.C and i’m pretty sure this will be used for the scene’s Jacob and Bella spend fixing up the dirt bikes comment, and pass it around, let me know how much you think they will be filming here? or if you think its going to be used for something else!!! xoxo Sunny
I have to say, I can definitely believe this is real–why else would such a large crew be painting a shed out in the country? And what exactly is that “rubber” UVO? [thanks, Miranda!]
For the first time in 11 years, we had a birth of pups at the Sanctuary. Sierra, a beautiful arctic wolf from Oregon came to us pregnant in early March and gave birth to five beautiful babies. Two, Frost & Flurry are being socialized while the other three are being raised by Mom and Dad.
I was really surprised by the amount of comments we received on the first set of New Moon Set pictures related to the cast smoking. The Examiner has an article on just that subject, saying–
Rob and Kristen have both been documented smoking before, and it has fans in an uproar. Some say “it’s gross,” and that the film stars, who know that a large part of their audience (for more on the demographics of Twilight fans see here) are teenagers, twenty-somethings and women generally.
Others say that, as they are all adults (for more information about the castmembers, see here), they have every right to make the choice whether or not to smoke, and that people should respect their rights to make that decision.
Though I know smoking is an awful habit, at the same time I think there is some difference between the cast smoking in (relative) private, being documented by paparazzi, and smoking during an interview when they are representing themselves professionally. What do you guys think? Here’s a poll–
