I’ve seen a few places reporting a change in IMDB as confirmation of AnnaLynne McCord being cast as Heidi of the Volutri in New Moon. I’ve held off on posting, and apparently for good reason–a new interview has been posted on FOX News today, with some new quotes by AnnaLynne–and they seem to absolutely refute her particpation in the New Moon movie–

So it looks as though McCord won’t be starring in the next Twilight flick as rumored (and it is even still listed as ‘rumored’ on IMDB) — but that wasn’t her decision.

“I really wish I was in the next movie, I would love that to be true,” McCord said. “I went to the premiere, I’m obsessed and it would be cool to work with a bunch of my friends (we’re sure she probably mainly means boyfriend Kellan Lutz) but no, I won’t be in it. I’m sorry.”

Starpulse has an article with three main items that they have reservations or expectations about in the New Moon movie. One thing I’m curious about your feedback on is if you agree they should be careful in cutting down the length–

Many fans criticized the book for being too long. There were several pages that could’ve been eliminated. Ok, Bella misses Edward. We get it. Let’s not have Bella dwell so heavily on his absence. We need to see that she misses Edward and that he truly was what she wanted, but not to an obnoxious degree. Personally, I think it will be interesting to see how director Chris Weitz will handle Edward’s voice cautioning Bella in her head when she tries her stunts.

Holy hotness. Alex Meraz is just smoking. I think we’re going to have to make Team Paul the official choice of NMM.org, I am now ex-Team Switzerland. Lainey Gossip brings the Punkd pics again, and has this to say–

Hell-OH Alex Meraz. He plays Paul in New Moon – here he is photographed on the weekend in Vancouver. Hot. SO hot. Alex was overheard telling people that he’ll be the “bad wolf” in the movie. Bad is good. Bad works for me.

Also attached – Taylor Lautner and his flawless skin (how is skin like this possible???) enjoyed a beautiful sunny break in the day. Vancouver is spectacular when it’s not raining. Just… it rains a LOT. Anyway, Taylor and Kristen were running lines all weekend, prepping to begin shooting in earnest this week

Ashley Greene was interviewed by Access Hollywood during the Twilight DVD release event, and the always-kind actress had a few words to share on how much she is enjoying working on New Moon–

“I don’t think really any of us have done sequels before and it’s so cool to bond with someone and become a family,” she said. “I’m just…I can’t even explain how excited I am about ‘New Moon’ coming out.”

Ashley said most of the fans would have one thing on their mind at the midnight party – the guy who made the undead sexy again – Robert Pattinson.

“Rob, Rob,” she said with a laugh when asked what is the first thing Twi-Hards ask about. “Everyone’s like, ‘What is Rob like?’ And, ‘Rob’s fantastic!’ The hair thing is still a big topic of conversation.”

One of my favorite Twilight sites, Letters to Twilight, started a fantastic feature last month where they look through their visitor logs and check out how people found the site. It’s a truly hilarious insight into some of the interesting things people are searching for in the Twilight universe–here are some examples from the article:

• filet-o-fish fan site – uh no, not us but this sounds like the perfect name for our new LetterstoTaylorsDad fan site. We LOVE you Taylor’s Dad! [I love huggy bear too! I wonder if Taylor will look like his dad in 25 years? -NMM]

Kristen Stewart’s mom Jules Stewart has written a script for a movie called K-11, and Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed will be starring as transgendered guys in the film–Kristen a young boy, Nikki Reed a man. Seriously, I’m not making this up–

It’s one of the most intriguing Hollywood movies currently in development. It marks the filmmaking debut of Kristen Stewart’s mother. It will once again pair her red-hot Hollywood daughter alongside another sexy “Twilight” actress. Oh, and did we mention they’re playing dudes?

Nikki Reed says that–

Sometimes celebrities, people who are HIV-positive, people who have raped or beaten children — any of those things. My character [named Mousey] is a male prostitute, and he goes in and out of the jail because it is comfortable to have a place to sleep and recoup and relax and have food and shelter — [when he] gets sent back out, there is a lot of underground drug stuff that is going on. [K-11] is a world in itself.”

And for those keeping score at home, Reed’s difficult challenge will have her playing a him, trapped in the body of a her. “I don’t really have the most androgynous look, so that is going to be interesting,” laughed the stunner. “I’m playing a man who has become a woman. … I was born a man, but I never felt like a man — I always knew that I was a woman. I just was born with the wrong body parts.”

Wow. this sounds totally heavy, and I am really looking forward to it–it could turn out to be brilliant, or a total disaster. It sounds like a really daring choice for these actresses–can’t wait to see them in costume! Check out the rest of the article at MTV.

On its first day of release, the Twilight DVD sold 3 million copies, making it onto the list of the top five selling DVDs of the last two years. MTV has this to say–

“Breaking Dawn” sold 1.3 million copies on just one memorable day. The movie adaptation of “Twilight” had a $70 million opening weekend in November. Now the juggernaut that is Stephenie Meyer’s vampire romance franchise has continued its dizzying streak of commercial hits with the film selling more than 3 million DVDs on the first day of its release, according to distributor Summit Entertainment.

In Salt Lake City, 2,500 devotees braved lines, while 2,000 attended in Los Angeles and 700 showed up in New York. Several “Twilight” actors made appearances at the events, including Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) and Edi Gathegi (Laurent). Director Catherine Hardwicke held court in Dallas, even though she will not be helming the next film in the series, “New Moon.” Not in attendance, however, were the film’s biggest stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

After going through all these vids from this weekend–I just have one question….Ashley gave out like a bazillion hugs to fans. Does she have a gallon of Purell from Costco backstage to get hosed down with afterwards? I’m just saying this out of love, and my never-ending-fear of germs, but jeez–I would die from all the TwiSquee all over me from that many strangers!

The Calgary Herald shares the experience of five lucky Canadian teens (TwiNucks?) who happened upon the filming of New Moon in Tofino–

Timmermans and her friends hung around the set Thursday and spotted two of the film’s stars, Kristin Stewart, 18, and Taylor Lautner, 17, coming up a trail from the beach.

“They looked like they were filming the scene where Bella [Stewart] almost drowns because they were wet and wrapped in towels,” she said.

“[Stewart] came out of her trailer and said, ‘Hi guys, I’m Kristin,” recalls Timmermans, who teased the stars about being ill-prepared for the wild and wet West Coast weather. “I asked them where their gumboots were and they laughed … They had on nice Converse [and] Reeboks and designer jackets.”

Lautner, who Timmermans described as “100 per cent as cute in person,” offered to pose in pictures for the friends.

Timmermans’s friend Jillian Edwards, 16, said she was impressed by how friendly the teen stars were. “Kristin was so friendly and polite,” she said. Stewart told the group if it was up to her they could come watch the filming on the beach, but the area was secured by off-duty Mounties volunteering on the two-day shoot in exchange for a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock — an annual fundraising cycling trip from Victoria to the north Island.

It’s such a pleasure to report a positive real-life account with Kristen Stewart instead of an interview where she’s being asked the same dreadful questions by unimaginative reporters. Yay!
