Noot Seear Heidi New Moon Volturi According to Marc Malkin at E! Online, Noot Seear has been cast as Heidi in the New Moon movie.

I can exclusively reveal that Canadian supermodel Noot Seear has won the coveted role of the beautiful human bait in the Twilight sequel.

Heidi is described in Stephenie Meyer’s novel as a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She has “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty, which includes stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.

The 25-year-old dark blond stunner hails from Vancouver, Canada. (Yup, that’s where director Chris Weitz just started shooting New Moon). She’s 5 feet 9 inches tall and has blue eyes, according to her agency, One Model Management. Her measurements? 34-24-34.

What do you guys think? I think for the all of five minutes she’ll be in the movie, she’ll make a fine Heidi–she lures people for a living, and it’s not even acting! Check out the whole scoop over at E! Online. [thanks, Maryann!]

200903251706.jpg The more interviews I read with New Moon cast members, the more I get the gut feeling that the New Moon movie will have a sort of parallel plotline that gives Bella’s perspective and Victoria’s perspective. It certainly hints at this with the last scene of Twilight–and the same screenwriter is writing both movies. Rachelle Lefevre hints to this in a new interview–

“The books are all from Bella’s point of view,” she told me. “So there are things in New Moon that get talked about and are referred to, but don’t get described. Victoria spends all of New Moon trying to get to Bella. As a result, she fights werewolves and has encounters. They’ve basically tried to show more for the film. We want to keep the love triangle going, but we’ve kept more of the dark action, vampire-y stuff to keep those fans happy.”

Coupled with the “flittering images” of Edward Cullen that Ashley Greene mentioned , it seems that we’re closer to understanding what they’ll be shining a spotlight on in the movie. I wouldn’t be upset if this was the case–film is a very different medium than print, and the movie doesn’t need to be strictly first-person perspective like the book is.

New Moon Poster BellaSome of the top Twilight Saga fan sites have offered some advice to Chris Weitz for the New Moon movie in the form of a group post at ReelzChannel. Among the advice–

  • Please don’t think of New Moon as just a cash cow! Many of us have imagined this book in our head for years. -TwilightersAnonymous
  • If he gets nothing else right, Chris Weitz had better get the pacing of the movie right. The book is slow — some people think it’s too slow, but most fans agree the slow pace is necessary to show how devastated that Bella Swan becomes. If he tries to speed up the movie too much to appease the taste of people who haven’t read the book, the fans will be in an uproar.” -NewMoonMovie.org
  • Contrary to beliefs that we want Rob in every scene, it is not true. How can we feel the same emotions as Bella if we are still seeing Edward every 15 minutes? It will make the reunion all the sweeter in the end if we are missing Edward just as much as Bella. -Twilight20Somethings
  • Don’t be afraid to bring the emotion into the story that I felt was somewhat lacking in Twilight. This is, first and foremost, a love story riddled with strife and angst. Let those emotions out and the story will flow. -TwilightMoms

City of Glass Twilight Stephenie Meyer Queen Bee Stephenie Meyer has updated her official webpage to post two things she is excited about–a new CD and a new book:

I’m excited—today two things I’ve been waiting months for finally are available! So I’m off to the store…

Blue October’s new album comes out today, including “My Never” the gorgeous song Justin performed during the Breaking Dawn tour. It still makes me cry. (Other favorites of mine: “Been Down” and “Should Be Loved.”)

At last! The conclusion to the Mortal Instruments series is out. Now I can FINALLY talk about what I know. I loved this one (Thanks again to Cassandra for the early peek—you rock)!

200903251101.jpgGQ, hot off a spicy covershoot with Robert Pattinson, has listed five vampire movies you shouldn’t miss if you enjoyed Twilight. I haven’t seen all of these, but I definitely concur with this recommendation:

1. Let the Right One In (2008)

Here’s why film buffs were buzzing about this Swedish horror flick last year: because the movie, about a 12-year-old boy who falls for the fanged girl-next-door, is composed of some of the most gruesomely beautiful shots you’ll never forget

Check out the whole list over at the GQ Blog. [thanks, Andrew]

peter facinelli fort lewis As if we needed yet another reason to adore him, Peter Facinelli went above and beyond the call of duty during his recent autograph session at Fort Lewis–

Originally schedule to last just two hours Saturday afternoon, Facinelli’s visit to the PX finally wrapped up at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, some 16 and a half hours after it started. The appearance at the exchange capped off a whirlwind three day tour of Ft. Lewis that had Facinelli meeting troops from the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, talking with more than 100 military children at a local prep school and taking part in a question and answer session with some 1,000 fans at a free screening of the Twilight movie Friday night.

200903250911.jpg Variety is reporting that Robert Pattinson may star in the romantic drama Memoirs–

“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson is in talks to star in Summit Entertainment’s romance-drama “Memoirs.”

Allen Coulter, whose credits include “Hollywoodland,” “The Sopranos” and “Damages,” is in talks to direct “Memoirs.”Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson are producing through their Underground Films banner.

The script, originally penned by Will Fetters, centers on a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet and fall in love while struggling to deal with family tragedies that threaten their relationship.

Meanwhile, the Risky Biz blog questions whether fans will stick with Robert Pattinson after the Twilight series is over–

But what Pattinson-mania doesn’t address is his post-”Twlight” drawing power — a time that is coming sooner than you’d think, given that three of the four potential movies in the franchise will have come out by next summer. Sure, tons of teenage girls went to see him in “Twlight,” but they went to see him in an adaptation of a book they’ve adored and re-read. Will they flock to him when he’s not an unattainable, chaste member of the undead?

BuddyTV gives a play-by-play blogging of their thoughts while watching the Twilight DVD. Some of this is HILARIOUS! The whole thing is worth reading, but here are some of the comments towards the beginning of the movie:

KW: Native Americans! Really, really bad wig on Taylor Lautner.

MC: She and Jacob have the same haircut.

OD: “Eww…look at the new girl”

KW: The GAYSIAN!

DC: OMG, I love gaysians.

MC: Why is he wearing a tie??

OD: We know she’s suffering on the inside because she said, “I’m suffering on the inside.”

KW: Is this a Diablo Cody film: “Chilax”?

DC: Um, because he’s gaysian.

MC: This is an absurdly diverse small town high school.

KW: Mike has pretty blue eyes. My favorite character is Jessica.

MC: This girl is on coke, right?

DC: Jessica sounds like she is mildly impaired.

….

DC: What’s with this dialogue?

KW: She’s so abrupt with him.

MC: “You were gone.”

KW: Why is it weird to ask someone about the weather?

MC: This is like conversations I have on the bus with homeless guys.

DC: Cold, wet thing,

MC: HES COLD.

DC: ! And she’s wet!

MC: Like the rain.

200903250831.jpg Edi Gathegi shared a few new words of what to expect in New Moon

Laurent who had a conscience in Twilight is a different kind of vampire in New Moon. “He is infinitely less conflicted in this movie,” joked Gathegi.

As far as what else we can expect in New Moon, Gathegi said “there is a lot more movement in this script.” I guess that means more stunts to look forward to — after all, Bella does become an adrenaline junkie riding motorcycles and cliff diving. She is one tough mortal!

Ryan Reynolds Robert Pattinson Ryan Reynolds, who is quite droolworthy himself, definitely understands the attraction to New Moon vamp Robert Pattinson–

While promoting his new film Adventureland, Reynolds gushed about the British hottie to MTV. “I love Twilight,” he told the network. “Oh my God, are you kidding me? Robert Pattinson in a word: dreamy.”

When MTV asked if Reynolds would like to do a movie with Pattinson and “stare into his beautiful British eyes,” Reynolds mischievously replied: “Oh are you kidding me? Look, I’m not gay – but I’m thinking about it.
