Thank God Catherine is not directing- she couldn't even get a 1953 chevy truck right. Drew doesn't have enough experience. Paul Weitz could be interesting because he's Chris' brother and Chris could easily go on set and put in his two cents. However, given that Bayona is del Torro's protege, that could be one incredibly beautiful movie. Visually, The Orphanage was great and have you seen Pan's Labyrinth?! Wow- the creativity!!

Agreed! I couldn't figure out why they screwed up the meadow scene so badly.... I loved the moved too, but that was not right.

i kinda think it would be cool if they chose paul. keep it in the fam you know? but then agian i think they should just chose who they think will do good. i really like chris's directing but i get that he cant do eclispe, but its cool

I completely agree with you. Eclipse.. is dark, in a different way than New Moon, there is the angst, the violence, and the fear.... I freaking love it! those two directors would be awesome!

I don't understand why they are already choosing another director when Chris has barely started the second movie. Is it just timing? Because if Chris does a good job, I want him to stay. I swear, I am having dreams about New Moon, it's getting kind of ridiculous.
I will say that Drew Barrymore shouldn't do it. I think it would turn into a chick flick if she did it. (Not that I don't love Drew, or chick flicks, but I don't think Drew has enough experience directing, and I really don't think Eclipse is a chick flick, even though it's more of a love triangle.)

Chris can't do it because they only have an 8wk break in between filming new moon and Eclipse, its a real bummer I wish he could do them all, maybe if they keep in in the family then Paul could do Eclipse and they could direct Breaking Dawn together, that would be cool.

I think Catherine should be giving another chance. Then let Chris do Breaking Dawn if we like the way New Moon turns out...then maybe the two directers could colaborate so the film kinda runs along the same path. That way there are 2 directors for entire saga instead of a new one for each movie
