The New York Post has an article up about five choices they believe would be great in the role of Alec opposite Dakota Fanning in New Moon. The choices?–

Tom Felton, Best Known For Playing: Draco Malfoy in all the Harry Potter films

Skandar Keynes, Best Known For Playing: Edmund Pevensie in “Chronicles of Narnia” series

Freddie Highmore, Best Known For Playing: Charlie Bucket in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”

Gaspard Ulliel, Best Known For Playing: Young Hannibal Lecter in “Hannibal Rising”

Alex Pettyfer, Best Known For Playing: Alex Rider in “Stormbreaker” — although that’s a bit of a stretch since no one here saw that film in America.

    I think alex would be good as the new born with victoria in breaking dawn , this is because he looks too old to be her twin and he has totally got the beautiful look goin on, but i think that freddie should do it because they wer meant to have brown hair and also you wouldn't think of him as the guy of charlie and the chocolate factory because he has aged.

    I say Skandar Keynes (if i spelt it right)!! He was an ah-ma-zing actor in Narnia! I always pictured both Jane and Alec with brown hair but Alec's a little curly. I personally don't really like Dakota, but I think she'll do well in this movie! GO SKANDAR!

    they did consider the guy from high school musical but no one wanted a disney star. its sad because who knows maybe the disney stars can do a good job , like the girl that wanted to play leah, but i just cant picture them playing the part. they did a freaking musical, all im gonna think about is them singing and dancing when im watching the movie, it just really ruins it for most ppl.

    going with what i saw as alec (cuz they can make him blonde, and remember, twins dont have to be very close in appearance), i think freddy should be alec. he is small, and i think with red eyes and dakota by his side, he could pull of alec REALLY well.

    If you are doing it to be as accurate as possible then it would either have to be Tom Felton or Freddie Highmore as there facial features are very similar and could be pulled off as twins. In my opinion Tom Felton would be to old for the part, Freddie Highmore could pull it off amazingly.

    I dont really like any of them... I couldnt see them playing Alec. Maybe it'd just be better if they get some unknown actor to play him :)

    But if I had to pick out of those people... I'd probrobly pick Tom Felton xD But still, I dont think hes right for the part.

    If you are doing it to be as accurate as possible then it would either have to be Tom Felton or Freddie Highmore as there facial features are very similar and could be pulled off as twins. In my opinion Tom Felton would be to old for the part, Freddie Highmore could pull it off amazingly.

    Dakota could totally play both parts! She's awesome and they could put a masculine wig on her and put some make up on her to make her look more boyish. It would be brilliant!
