Maybe they are trying to blend in.. although they definitely picked the wrong time and place to try it when the "Twilight" world knows they are there. It's nice to see them dressed like a normal person instead of uptight snobs though, even though we know they probably have the money to spend on much nicer clothes.

I don't know why some of you hate Nikki. she has gone through SO MUCH when she was a teenager. the whole movie Thirteen was based on her life and I really like her. she is an exceptional role model. i dont even mind her and Rob dating, Nikki is such a nice person.

It's a pretty intense movie.. and scary in the sense that the types of things that go on in the movie are very realistic

Nikki actually co-wrote it, as well. It really is realistic, I totally agree with you on that one. She's a really really talented actress/writer (and she even produces) imo. Especially considering Thirteen only came out when she was only 15.

I'm 14...and I understand what love is. I don't think its stupid stuff like how hot someone is or anything..it's a passion for someone and its when you care about that someone deeply. I'm a huge fan of these books and have a lot of respect for Stephenie and the way she shows us love in her books. So, just so you know, not all 14 year olds are fan girls that don't understand what love is...we're not all that dumb you know.

No offence, but that's exactly what I was trying to say. Sorry to disappoint you, but what Meyer shows in her books isn't real love. It's an idealized notion of love which will make you think you don't love someone when you're in love with him, because you will think your feelings aren't as overwhelming as what Meyer described.

Love is a lot more normal than that. And a lot more special and unique. But please, don't be fooled by a book. Or even better, don't be fooled by what Edward and Bella had. Love isn't like that.

I said "the way she shows us love in her books", I never said it was REAL love. I was saying she shows us a nice THOUGHT of love. I don't think there is really a definition of love, but there are ways to describe it-sometimes. Sometimes you don't even know any words that would fit the way you feel. Don't worry, I'm not fooled. Someday someone who loves me will come and I will know what it actually means (and everyone else who hasn't found their soulmate yet, not just someone young like me.)

Everybody's experience with love is different... so I think it is kind of hard to categorize it as it can come in different shapes and forms (so to speak). A love may exist like that of Edward and Bella's, you may not know it because you have not experienced it yourself.

Twilight would not be the phenomenon it is today if it would not have been for Bella and Edward's unique love story. If Stephenie were to be completely truthful and to make her writing 'real' there would be no twilight at all.

I think people should just let the 'fan girls' be exactly that. Let them be fans. Let them enjoy the Twilight Saga, after all they are teenagers! Let them enjoy themselves!

I already said love was unique, and of course, it depends on the person. But you can't be serious when you say that a love may exist like that of Edward and Bella's, because that's not true.

And yeah, I can assure you that I know exactly what love is. I'm very in love and engaged. ;)

I just feel bad when the fan girls start talking like that, and thinking they know what love is because they've read about Bella and Edward. This will only increase the bad endings in relationships, the divorces and the feeling of emptiness when they can't find a love like that.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with reading Twilight and get touched by Edward and Bella's love. But the fan girls need to know that this kind of love isn't real. They need to differenciate between real life and a fantasy. That's all I'm saying. There's nothing wrong with dreaming or wishing for that kind of love (I'm sure we all have done it at least once in our lifes, and it's normal). But always knowing the limits.

Fan girls shouldn't get lost in a fantasy, they shouldn't lose sight of the real world, because it will bring them disappointment when they can't find their perfect fantasies in real life.

So dream all you want. But don't lose sight of reality.

And again, you started this conversation because you thought that I thought I would find a love like Edward and Bella. Wrong. I never said that, nor will I believe that. I will find love that is for me, not for characters in a book. Please don't think all teenagers that read these books and think that...because it is simply not true.

The only difference is that in real life, things don't always develop in a way that you actually end up with your Edward.

I think love can be anything you make it. If you believe in a love like Edward and Bella's, even though it may well be an obsessive love, you can find it if that's what you want.

I'm 23 and have found someone I would want to spend forever with and have been with for 5 years and we're the only one each other has dated.

I'm not saying that love can be defined or that everyone has their perfect Edward or Bella but it can happen.

Also this is why I would never let my 14 year old kid read Twilight, they don't understand love yet, no offense.

I wonder if that's why I don't like Edward that much. Because I know the difference between real love and a false image of love, and I know Edward gives the pre-teen readers a false notion about love, and even a false notion about men. Some girls are too immature to understand the difference between a book romance and real life. What Kristen has... it's real life, real love. Much more better than some idealized notion of true love which isn't even real.

And the Rob comparisons... Seriously, can they get more stupid? No one would have given him a second look if he hadn't played Edward. But of course, he's playing Edward, so he must be freaking perfect! Jeez, grow up already! There are sexier men, more gorgeous, handsome and beautiful than him. HE'S NOT EDWARD! And this applies to the rest of the cast. Do the world a favour and learn the difference between an actor and a character.

It's very sad how some people have started bashing him out of jealousy, because they feel as if Rob was threatened. Or more accurately, as if Edward was threatened. It's so sad! Taylor is a really sweet kid. Even sweeter than Rob, I should add.

I completely agree with your thoughts on real love and Meyer's books. Don't get me wrong, I love the books, they're a great escape, but I feel kind of sad for all the really young readers who will go into a relationship thinking it's supposed to be like Edward and Bella's. I hope they don't pass by good things because they're comparing it to the books.

And I also completely agree that the actors are not the characters. It drives me crazy (and probably the actors too) to be called Edward, Bella, and Jacob. Can you not see that these people have lives beyond those characters? Sheesh...

I understand completely..I seriously know that the love in the book is not how it really is..I don't think anyone would think that, because you would be living a lie thinking that. You kind of took my words and twisted them.. when I said about Stephenie's way of showing us love, I never intended that I THOUGHT that the love in the book is real. A fiction book is fiction. Though it may have some real life instances in it, the love is not how it really is in real life.

Emma . . . .don't listen to these cynical women! While it is true that Edward and Bella are fictional characters, I don't think it hurts to strive to find that someone in your life who completes you and loves you JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.

What I've taken away from these books is this:
1. Both Edward and Jacob love Bella for WHO SHE IS and THEY DON'T WANT HER TO CHANGE! Just as Bella loves each of them for who they are.
2. You don't always fall in love with the person everyone (including yourself) "expects" you to fall for . . . so keep your eyes, heart, and mind open.
3. Love knows no boundaries . . . whether it be someone of a different race or economic background or educational background, someone who "adopts" you, a family you marry into, a child you give birth to or a family created from friendship. Love has a million faces!
4. One person can make a difference (Bella protecting her family and friends at the end of BD).
5. WE define and are responsible for our own "happily ever after." Everyone's definition of "happily ever after" is unique to themselves, so create your own and BE happy!

Understand this . . . love IS passionate and scary and thrilling and difficult (many of the things Stephenie writes about in her books). I am 33. I was married 9yrs before I divorced a little over a year ago. Bad endings come to relationships whether you want a love like Bella and Edward have or not . . . it's life . . . it happens. And these books . . . they gave me HOPE. They renewed my faith in a lot of things, even though I'm a GROWN-UP and KNOW that the story is fiction.

Good God you just summed my life up for me Lol. Though I have never been married to get divorced, I was in a dead end relationship and couldn't see it, my life was miserable. I first read Twilight in January off this year and thought to myself "God there is better out there". Yes I understand it's fiction, but at the same time there has to be some inspiration there to add to the story. So I got out off the relationship. I'm happier, my children are happier, and I'm a stronger person than I've ever been. Maybe there is someone better out there for me, maybe not. But I'm not looking for it, hopefully I will stumble upon it when I least expect it. But although the books are fiction it does give you hope and makes you believe that true love does exist.

'Twilight book fan' - you are impossibly ridiculous to say Kristen is a bad actress or deny her beauty. I mean, first watch a couple of movies she stars in (like 'Into the Wild', 'The Cake Eaters', and 'Speak' which are highly praised by critics). And I think you are the one who should watch her interviews to see how deeply she understands her characters and how devoted she is to every role she has ever played. I hate how people follow around any movies cast like that (being the reason why i respect Sean Penn for what he did to that camera man.) and all the Twilight haters are just hiding the fact that they like something popular if they complain it means they do care about it otherwise they wouldn't even mention the books or the movie.

I agree with you. As I have said before, I live in a place that has its fair share of actors, musicians, authors, and what not. We treat them with the same respect that we would anyone else. They are just another neighbor and contributor to our state and town. So I'm baffled at the viciousness directed at the cast. I love our cast! Every single one of them.

I, personally, would prefer Kristen to stay with Angarano (sp.?) than have her leave him for Rob. I don't really think they'd make a good couple, Rob and Kristen. Kristen's BF doesn't look very comfortable, he's obviously not used to being followed by paps, but Kristen looks more relaxed with him there, than she sometimes does so he must be good for her.

Guys have been wearing plaid shirts, beards and shades since before Rob was born! It's a casual, grunge, laid back style that a lot of guys wear.

As far as Taylor I have seen photo after photo of him dressing the same in dark clothes and dark jeans, and he dresses a bit more clean cut. Never once did I think oh I think he looks like Rob in those clothes.

AND I have also I seen even Chris Weitz and the other guys including the other wolf boys and vamps wearing hoodies, and leather jackets

Robs everyday wear seems a lilltle more loved clothes as they look rather old from wear and tear and seems like he puts on the first thing he sees and calls it a day. Which is cool, as he IS a guy, trying to impress no one including you.

Soooo right Shey about the comparisons. For example back, way back when houses started being built and logs were being cut the loggers called the "rob style" work clothes and they still do. Imagine that.
In a lot of cold weather places such as Alaska where I've lived before when my family was in the Army, just about every guy and man wore that and called it getting dressed for a regular day.
