200903150114.jpg At the press junket for Kristen Stewart’s new film Adventureland, Kristen talked a bit about New Moon to the Dish Rag

“A lot more introduced, like the world of the werewolves is coming alive. The second movie is much more quaint. Edward (Robert Pattinson) leaves her, which is interesting considering since the first movie is based on their devotion to each other.”

“So to see them cope without each other and to see this character Jacob, who supposed to represent light and warmth and he pulls her out of a rut that’s like seemingly impossible… it’s really tragic. Like, I can’t wait to see Taylor’s (Lautner) face when I tell him, ‘It’s him, it’s always been him,” she says with an audible shiver.

She also commented on Taylor Lautner’s newly buff bod–

And about her new buff Jacob, she admits that those new muscles are pretty hot. “He’s Jack. It’s crazy.”

“He did some serious gym time. He’s an entirely different person physically,” she admits. “It took him so much time and he’s so devoted. He’s amped!”

She also commented on the excitement of working with Dakota Fanning in New Moon to the Dish Rag

“Yeah. I mean, yes, absolutely. She’s like … you know, I’ve always loved what she’s done and she’s very … like controlled and poised … ummm and then like in terms of her actual work that she makes, it’s like always so different and she’s gonna rock this … I mean she … Talk about a bandit, she’s going to have to lose herself in this because it’s really like – it’s pretty heavy.”

I mean, I think she has potential. She cant act, that is for sure.
I like what Kristen had to say about New Moon, I think it's pretty interesting to hear her take on it.

I didn't pay much attention when I read the book the first time.... when they were talking about her cape being black as night I for some reason they were talking about her skin so when they were talking about dakota I reread the book

I think she'll do a wonderful job and have fun exploring her "dark side" (underneath it all, we all know she has one) jklol... maybe. Go get 'em girly (love your cheer pix too!) one of the girls has the cutest hair ever in it (but obviously idk her name)

Sure, Dakota is neccesarily what I pictured for the role of Jane. But isn't that part of the challenge as an actor -- to play a role no one expects? I think that the pressure of fans "not thinking she's right" for the role will give her a lot of motivation to not only do it well, but knock it out of the park. Plus I have a feeling that her and Rob will play insanely well off of each other.
  • really? how so?

i'm sorry, but am i the only one who is not not not excited about the whole dakota deal?
i just don't picture her as jane at all. at ALL. they should've looked harder, truly.

i am just trying to hope for the best. but if that is all i have to complain about so far, then.. i am feelin' good.

I think Dakota is going to be fabulous as Jane! She is amazing at her age with so much experience and talent that she can totally pull this off...

You're not alone, I am also not excited about the whole Dakota deal...I am surprised why nobody is guessing who's going to play sam , paul, Embry or Quil, even though their part is 10 times much longer and more interesting than Jane's
If most of fans, unconsciously, insist on focalizing on Edward and Bella, New Moon will be a big disappointement :(
  • louise
I agree the werewolf roles of Sam, paul, embry, quil have bigger parts in New Moon than Jane!!! all she does is mutter a line and give cold stares she's a Complete Mute. What's the Big Deal!!!

This is what I meant back in the day when the early rumors first surfaced about giving the part to a "Big" star like Dakota. Now it seems all this talk about her just for being her oooh Dakota Fanning stars Blah her role is so minor all this hype cause her name.

  • i am reallly excited to see new moon the movie i just wish they told the whole cast and the people that played them like who is gunna play aro or marcus or alec or cauis or sam quil embry i just wish they would tell us and let the suspense be over with u know

Dakota Fanning is Dakota Fanning...she's a very good actress. She's perfect as JANE. I can't see anybody more perfect to be Jane.

Kristen should seriously considered putting a lot more effort on her acting when she has scenes with Dakota. Dakota will eat her out.

I am truly excited to watch New Moon!!!

I cant wait to see Dakota as Jane, she is exactly as I amagined her to be when I read the books, I think people should wait to judge until they see how she protrays the role when the film comes out.

This is a comment from her that they left out. It is actually very good to see her insight on Bella over the course of the movies but also...did she just confirm the fourth movie!!? Read.

In some respects, Stewart found more to work with in the second book.

"The first one was good because it was ultimate love, and abandon, and that’s good but it's kind of one note."

    Now Bella is growing up.

"She’s getting older," says Kristen. "Over the course of these four movies, she has to become a formidable partner, because in the end, and I don't think I'm ruining anything here, they end up together. And in the first one, he’s very much a man and she’s very much a child and she has to become more of a formidable partner."

they not going to tell ppl the whole cas cause yall will find them and stalke them ..... kristen is a good actress i lover her movies not just twilight which i dont think shows her true ability there is so much more then she can do ......and dakota she is even better this is just for the fun for her she just wanted to do something cause she as bored

i used to think Dakota was really annoying...but after she got the role I actually didn't care. I don't know why the press keeps going on and on about it...like everyone else said...Jane isnt THAT big of a role.

I think she'll do a good job, but im just tired of them getting these "big stars". They don't really need Dakota to make a good movie. They made twilight big without real famous people...they can do it again without them.

if you read new moon you would've known :) you'll like the book , it's sad coz it may awake in you the feeling of lost if you've ever lost someone that you loved...
  • mcleh1
And Jane is SUPPOSED to have lank, brown hair (check if you dont believe me- it says on page 456 in new moon) Do you think they will die it for the movie? And i dont know how tall Dakota is but Jane is also SUPPOSED to be the same height as alice and look like a very pretty boy. They should have spent longer looking and not just chosen the first young acctress out there. By the time breaking dawn is (hopefully) made she will look way too old!!!

I can't site the page number or anything, but she's talking about Edward. I want to say it's after Alice comes back and asks her to go to Volterra with her and Jacob gets upset... Not totally positive about the context though.

By the way I have read the books all of them, more than once. I was confused by Kristen's remarks in the article and needed clarification...thank you very much!!! That's why I don't post comments because of ridiculous comments like that one....see ya...I'll continue reading and not posting.

I don't get why they left this out . . . who cares if it would've given something away to someone who hadn't read the 4th book . . . most everyone who is a fan of the books and/or movie has read it not to mention there are spoilers all over the internet!!!!

Anyway, I think it is very insightful on her part. . . showing how she "gets" her character and the journey Bella takes through-out the saga. Thanks for posting it!
  • Stacey
They probably left that last part out because it *would* ruin the story for those who haven't read Breaking Dawn yet!!

I would have been pissed if someone had told me they ended up together before I got to read it for myself.

I think that Dakota is a great actress and that she will portray Jane the right way. I'm not sure that she exactly looks the part but, that might be okay. I mean, look at James & Laurant. They didn't even come close. I wish that they would have cast her differently because I think it would have been better for the movie. I like that they went with more "unknowns" in the original cast. It made it more intriguing. I'm really hoping that when they FINALLY announce the rest of the cast that they are not popular actors that we've seen so many times before. With that said, I agree with whoever wrote above that Kristen is going to have to step it up in her scene with Dakota. Luckily for her, I don't think she has too much of a dialog in front of the Volturi. Dakota out weighs her by a mile as an actress.

Dakota is perfect as Jane! She is def the size and the hair can be alternated so not a problem. Dakota is only 15 and has worked with Hollywood's most wanted A-lister's. She is #3 on Forbe's most valuable Top 20 under 20 and is continually doing all kinds of film. She def has star quality and talent. People need to stop judging beforehand and wait for the finished product. It was the same thing when Rob was cast as Edward with a damn petition and now its Rob this and Rob that, its really just so stupid and typical of fans. Bottom line, I just want New Moon to rock! Team Jacob!

Kristen and Robert both need to step it up in the entire movie. As a huge fan of the series i found that their performances made the relationship very awkward. I think they need to develop more as actors and learn to be more natural with their parts. I just hope that Chris Weitz can do a better job with them than Catherine Hardwick did.
  • gottobekidding
Yes, I agree. I walked out of the theater so dissappointed in the screenwriting and the direction. I think they both have the potential to be amazing. Maybe Rob a little more so and I swear it's not the HOTNESS. I think it's his innocence and fact that he's really got nothing to prove. I cannot wait to see How To Be. It looks like an amazing performance.

NO WAY is Dakota Fanning the character of Jane! Sorry, but I find her waaaaaaay too "Hollywood" for this role. To me she was bratty and condescending in interviews for other projects and I've never been a fan of hers. Part of the whole appeal of the Twilight Movie is that they went with actors who were not "mainstream" and who could really represent the characters we all loved so much. Fanning just ruins that feeling for me.

    Just my opinion!

I think that Dakota fanning is actually is really good pick fort the role of Jane. I mean JAne is described as this little girl sort of in the book with a angelic face but she really is no angel at all!!! I'm very curious to see how she will play this part, I really do think she will do really well. Besides doesn't anybody remember how many ppl didn't want the famous ROBERT PATTINSON to play edward cullen??? yea it was alotta ppl, now look he's got half the female populus going after him! :) lol

It good to hear her more open to talking about New Moon. She seems psyched to be working with Taylor. See we just needed to wait for the production to begin to see her more enthused about it. She is more respondant with what is her current project.

I'm wondering why are they keeping it so tight lipped about the other wolf pack, who are the actors? So secretive about it. I wonder if it's because if they announced who they are there could possibly be controversy again with the NA community and others.

Honestly, Jane plays such a small part in this book/movie that I don't see what all of the fuss is about. I do wonder if Dakota will be above doing these movies by the time Breaking Dawn is filmed (if it gets filmed) and then they will have to recast . . . which would suck. Which is why they probably should have gone with someone less known.

I am so curious about the Aro, Cauis, Marcus, Felix, and Demetri . . . AND of course the WOLVES!!! These, to me, are much more significant casting issues!!!!

**Also, for anyone who might wonder about character bios for these books . . . I ran across the TwilLexicon site and it has a breakdown of the characters in all 4 books. And it does say that Jane has brown hair . . . we'll see how that plays out with Dakota.

    Am I missing something...?

So excited to see Taylor and Kristen's chemistry- it worked so well in Twilight, and I can't wait to see how Taylor pulls off 'Angry Wolfy Jake'- he's got the intimidating body down! Is it sad to be so excited with so many months to go?
