New Moon Cast Leaves Vancouver

Lainey Gossip has another report on the state of the New Moon cast in Vancouver–apparently they’re some of them are headed out of town for a bit now that pre-production is over:

Last night several cast members went out for dinner including Kristen Stewart and of course Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, and Rachelle Lefevre and Edi Gathegi. Robert Pattinson was not with them. In fact, Robert Pattinson has completed his preparation and is not required at work in Vancouver for another several weeks. Vampire vanishes…

Here he is Jackson Rathbone at Vancouver airport taking off today with his new Jasper hair. Very well worn pair of pants, non? Seems like a confident, easy going, not awkward all the time dude. Good.

Also Jackson’s castmates – Ashley Green with whom he arrived at the airport (there’s a teddy bear in her bag) and was seen on a coffee run the other day… is there something going on? Rachelle yesterday morning with all that amazing hair, and Elizabeth Reaser who has some odd footwear options considering it’s only Starbucks.

Kristen Stewart left Vancouver today too. These are photos of her at the airport. She’s on Kimmel tonight. Hopefully more chatty than she was with Letterman.

    plus, jackson stated that filming is beginning next week, so why would they all be leaving? the answer is they're not. only those who have other events to attend before filming are heading out.

    If you look at one of the pictures of Ashley Greene at the airport, she is holding a passport. And in a recent interview she had, she said they were heading to Italy !!! Can you say Volterra!

    So I am confused....they already left? I thought Jackson said filming started Monday. Are they really leaving only to come back in two days? Or are only a couple of them coming back next week?
    If anyone has thoughts on this or could clarify, that would be great.

    But she did have a hell of a lot of bags for the short time (what was it, two days?) that she was in Vancouver....

    I think they're just going back to the US?
    You most definitely need a passport to cross the border back into the US from Canada now.

    And Jackson slipped about filming starting THIS monday, a week earlier than planned... so I hope that they come back on monday?



    I'm just SO confused. I want a producer to clarify things!

    Oh..ha. I went to Canada (I am from the US) and they didn't require me to bring my passport, although that was definitely what most people used.
    I hope Lainey isn't right, for some reason it is making me sad to think they have left. (Don't ask me why.) So you think that that maybe they are staying? At least some of them?

    poor Rob...I bet he didn't expect that reaction!! I think the friend overacted though...he was just asking a question...maybe she looks young. People ask if my son is my brother or if I'm babysitting him...I'm 23, but some say I look 18/19.

    If you look at the pics of "dress rehearsals" (or whatever they were doing the other day) . . . you will see that he has a full head of blond hair. He's supposed to be wearing a wig for this one because he had to shave his sides for the Avatar movie. The wig looked really good . . . much better than his hair did in the first movie.

    I think he may be trying to trick everyone, by letting them think they have inside info, From what I have read off previous articles was Jackson not supposed to be filming another film in March and even though it was around the same time as New Moon summit was allowing it because he only has limited scene's in New Moon, maybe he was talking about his other film starting to film on monday and the paps have twisted his words, wouldn't be the first time. I could be wrong though, but I have a feeling I'm not LMAO

    Don't you find it a bit humorous that everyone is freaking out because, OMG . . . they've (the actors) all got other things they're doing this weekend? It's like they can't have a life outside of this series of movies, which is so freaking sad.

    Anyway, I find it funny myself. :D Hope you are having a good weekend!

    Yes I was chuckling away to myself when I was reading through the comments cos everyone was nearly hyperventilating cos they've left Canada, it's like they were on the run form the crew and never going to return Lol. It's very funny. I'm relaxing cos my neighbours had a crazy party last night which went on to 8am and I hardly got a wink off sleep, Lol. Hope your weekend is more eventful than mine LOL!

    Hell girl . . . I'm still in my pj's and it's 2:00pm here! Saturdays are my and the boys' pj and cartoon days (unless we have something else planned).. We will get "cleaned up" to go to dinner and to the store later . . . but for now, it's surfing the web and cartoons!

Sorry but I don't see what was so horribly wrong with Rob's question to her that made her react that way, high strung much? And yes he may thought she looked young. So a compliment to the baby AND her..sheesh lol

    I'm with you there, that story just doesn't sound quite right somehow. If he was in a coffee shop with a film crew I'm sure we'd have seen/heard something about that. And of course if he'd left Vancouver we'd have seen pics of that too.

    Just goes to show don't believe everything you read people, or maybe I'm just a big sceptic when it comes to the media.

    If they start filming on Monday and it is earlier than they expected obviously some of the cast will have things arranged they couldn't change so thats why they're heading off. Plus they can still film scenes that don't involve any of those characters. As we know they don't make a movie in order, they can film the end before anything else if that is how the schedule works.

But then again, I just don't see 4 of the cast in Italy, the rest in Vancouver AND the director filming BOTH locations. I'd think he'd want to be in control of it all...soo confusing...lol

    Did anyone else notice how Ashley & Rachel are wearing their boots over their jeans? So cute! Plus Jackson has on cowboy boots?!? I thought that was just a costume decision for Jasper but there they are! I think it is really awesome to see movie stars in cold weather attire & still looking fabulous. Winter is freezing where I live and I'm always looking for new ways to dress when it is cold. I also love how most of them don't mind smiling for pictures and the fans. Most of them seem so down to earth & like people who would be fun to hang out with. ^_^

    Rob probably has a lot of prep work before filming starts. From certain interviews with him, it sounds like he is excited about the movie, especially the suicide scene in Italy, and that he thinks for this movie he is going to have to shut himself off from a lot of the cast.
