When i first heard this song by Sufjan Stevens, i fell in love with it. Even though this one is a lot slower and little less up beat, it is still perfect for the New Moon soundtrack. If you think about it, Bella is Edward's blood flowing through his veins and the other way around as well. Both Bella and Edward agree that they could not live with out each other so this song is perfect. Besides, every one needs blood to survive. The mood and lyrics in my opinion are perfect for this film.

You Are Blood is terrible. It doesnt evoke feelings any feelings and that is what music is for

I think that "You Are The Blood" is a definite pick for the movie. Though, I believe that the cover by Sufjan Stevens is much, much more fitting for the movie. I found this song a few days ago and LOVED it, and now, reading this article on here and hearing that the song might be in the movie just stuns me. Hopefully it will be chosen because it's fits perfectly.

Ok, someone is probably going to KILL me . . . but I just heard Demi Lovato's new song . . . "Don't Forget." I would have NEVER, EVER suggested it but my kids watch disney on the weekends and I heard it today. So I got on youtube and looked up the video and then looked up the lyrics. It IS a great song that I believe says a lot about where Bella is during New Moon. And truly her voice is great in this one! (some of the song below)

It's not bad. Although some songs I would suggest are City and Colour's "Live Knives" and "As Much As I Ever Could", Stateless' "Bloodstream", Saosin's "I Never Wanted To", and Taproot's "Karamaway". All great songs that really fit the tone and action for this movie.

I couldn't agree more, both of those songs totally speak to me of New Moon, I thought when I first heard them, "Did the song writer just get done reading New Moon when she wrote these songs?" And as to the post that Edward and Bella were lovers already and that Almost Lover doesn't fit them, they are mistaken. A lover is someone you are haveing sex with, but are not married to; period. Bella and Edward didn't do more that kiss until they were married, they were never lovers, they dated, and are definitely soulmates, but they were never lovers, no sex before marriage.

Now it would be perfect for the HBO series "Trueblood". It does have that goth southern kind of vibe to it. I can just picture it playing in the background of a steamy love scene between Sookie and Bill. Smooookin' hot!

Soundtracks are a challenge - I feel like the mood is what we need to look at, not the lyrics. That means depressing music. I'm liking it! It has a very disorienting and darkly etheral feel that I can match with all Bella goes through in New Moon. It fits the creepy and yet allluring feel that the baddies have in the book ( Victoria and The Volturi). I like the lyrics as well. They remind me of what Edward is to Bella, he's the blood that runs through her veins and ironically enough that is what separates them. That absolute vitality that Edward is to Bella (she can't live without him) matched with the creepiness, touches on the summation of New Moon quite well I think. I dig it!

The band 'RED' has some really good songs that would fit new moon. Seriously Summit take a listen.They're great and different.

'Never be the same' for bella's depression, edward leaving, or after the volturi decide to let them go and edward is holding her in the lobby, and she is studying his face. The song 'shadows' by RED would be good for when jacob turns and doesn't talk to bella for a while, and she is trying to figure out what is going on with him and how she feels when he tells her he can't be with her anymore.
