PRO: Her emo-vampire series Twilight is the biggest book franchise since Harry Potter, with four titles locked on the best-seller list. Last fall’s Twilight film, meanwhile, earned a No. 1 spot at the box office despite a starless cast.

CON: The Booker! The Nobel! The Pen/Faulkner! These are just some of the many awards her books won’t be winning anytime soon.

That’s right, we met the apple holding hand model at the Twilight DVD release part this past weekend. And she was sweet enough to give us an interview!

Kristen Stewart talks about three of her upcoming movies in this new interview. Concerning New Moon, she has this to say–

Um … we have to talk about New Moon, you know that.

“[We are] just picking up where we left off. The story, there’s like a six-month period where the first one ended, and the second one picks up, but nothing has changed. They’re at a good, solid point in their relationship. I’m interested to see him leave because that’s what the first one is entirely based on, that abandoned devotion ultimate love story. Now she’s going to be stripped of that, and Bella is actually an interesting character on her own.”

Steroids? Jacob? Wha?

“Taylor Lautner is Jacob. It was under deliberation for a while, so we’re glad that he’s doing it … He’s jacked. It’s crazy … He’s not on steroids … I’ve seen the steady progression, and I’ve seen him a lot since then. If I had seen Taylor who did Twilight to the Taylor right now who’s about to start New Moon, he’s an entirely different person physically. I mean, it took him so much time. He’s so devoted. He’s amped, really excited.”

We’ve got a couple of reports in that New Moon is now filming at the set for Jacob Black’s house . However, security is super-tight and no pictures have surfaced yet–VancouverVamp has this to share–

I went by Jake’s house last night to see if I could get a few pics of Bella’s truck for my collection and they were full on filming there! I got to see Taylor and Kristen standing in black rain jackets being talked to a few of the set guys and the guy who plays Billy Black (Birmingham?) walking around in a white, blue and black polar fleece with his signature hat. I couldent snap any pics because the set was guarded by POLICE!!! They blocked off all of [redacted] and part of [redacted] in [redacted] for this but seeing that the set is on the corner of the cross streets I was able to slow down to look.

Another source shares a similar story, except she didn’t see Billy Black but saw the entire wolf pack.

UPDATE: Another source, Mikaela, has this to share–

Today my girlfriend and I went to go see if there was a chance we could watch while they were filming at Jacob Black’s house. But like the other person who commented on filming, we were not allowed anywhere near the set. The Police were there guarding it so there was no way we were going to get anywhere near it. But we were allowed to stand at a far distance and watch from there, not that we could see anything, and we were told not to take any pictures or to video tape the set. It seems like they are taking extra precautions, which makes sense, could you image the crowd that would form if they let anyone and everyone watch.

A fan visited Forks, WA for some Twilight sightseeing and sent me her exciting tale. It was quite an adventure–despite getting into a car wreck and being saved by locals, just like Bella, talented NMM.org reader WoodenDance got some amazing photographs and wrote quite a trip report to let everyone know what it’s like to visit Forks and La Push.
