italy set montepulciano set new moon movie Official Italian Twilight Website Denies Montepulciano Shooting Dates

The official Twilight blog from Eagle Pictures, distributors of Twilight in Italy, have denied rumors of New Moon being shot between May 25th and May 30th in Montepulciano, Italy. It is important to note that they do not deny that the movie will be shot in Montepulciano, only that the dates are incorrect.

English Translation: “We have to give you some bad news: the Pro Loco (tourism office) of Montepulciano wrote us to say that the municipality administration denied the rumours on the dates of the shooting of New Moon in Italy: The dates of 25-30th of May actually are neither certain, nor confirmed. The only official channel enabled to provide sure information regarding this matter will be Montepulciano’s municipality, from which we’ll be expecting an official communication shortly. This does not deny the shooting in Montepulciano, just the dates reported before…”

funny slappy the beaver quileute legends Quileute Legends When Bella does a Google search for Quieleute legends in Twilight, one of the book results is Legends of the Slappy Beaver. This is one of the many hilarious things we learn from the commentary bits on the Twilight DVD. Here are a couple more–

39:35: Edwards pulls up to save Bella from the bad humans.

Pattinson: [In prissy voice] “Now listen, guuuyyysss!”

Stewart: See, I knew you were gonna start saying something about this, but I think you look very scary.

Pattinson: “Come on guys. Let’s all, come on, let’s be simple about this.”

Hardwicke: I like the way the car roars in. Obviously, that wasn’t your driving, or those people would all be dead.

1:14:18 Finally, the kissing scene. Hardwicke says, “I have heard from, um, people of all ages, that this scene kinda gets ‘em goin’.” It certainly works on 33-year-olds. Or so I have, um, heard.

Pattinson: This is quite difficult ’cause I have a really flat head, and so it’s quite difficult to get a correct angle,” Pattinson says. “And you can’t go up from down below as well, ’cause I’ve got, like, rock solid gelled hair. And so, like, it was odd. I don’t know, sometimes I feel like my head is being, like, turned inside out. Like that episode of Ren & Stimpy when he’s inside his own belly button. [Stewart laughs] I don’t know.

Hardwicke: Okay….

rachelle lefevre 200903240847 Rachelle LeFevre Talks About Fame, Canada, Playing Victoria The Calgary Herald has a new interview with Rachelle LeFevre where she shares some interesting thoughts on her part in the Twilight saga–

“I wanted Victoria to be playful and powerful, but not a sociopath. There’s no pathology to her evil. I think she’s just an example of what happens when you have absolute power: It corrupts absolutely,” she says.

“And let’s face it: If you were more powerful than every other person on the planet, you’d start looking at everyone else as inferior beings. Victoria also sees humans as food, too, which doesn’t help with the empathy.”

commentary 200903240835 New Moon Cast Thinks Attention from Paparazzi Kinda Bizarre MTV has a new article up where they talk to the cast about their thoughts on the new found popularity with the paparazzi both in America and abroad–

A year ago, they were young actors with few credits, traveling to Portland to shoot a low-budget vampire film with an indie director. This week, they’re returning to Vancouver as A-listers, filming one of the most eagerly anticipated sequels of the year.

“It’s kind of bizarre,” Ashley Greene told us over the weekend, discussing the stalker-iffic photos that popped up all over the Web recently — some even dissecting their beverage selections as they began “New Moon” pre-production. “We would walk out of our hotel, and there would be people there taking pictures, and the [headline] would be, like, ‘Jackson and Ashley Get Coffee!’ It’s new.”

According to Edi Gathegi, there might even be a double agent in the midst of the “Twilight” stars, leaking details about their movements. “There is a mole, and the mole is feeding information,” Gathegi marveled, remembering recent pictures of the group flying out of Vancouver last week. “[The paparazzi] took pictures of every single one of us leaving the airport! It’s like, how are they getting this information?”

Read the rest of the article to find out about pranks Edi Gathegi and Kellan Lutz are pulling, as well as how they think Canadians are more polite than Americans in the world of the the paparazzi.

casting new moon wolf pack poster tribe New Moon Wolf Pack Confirmed by Summit Summit has issued a press release confirming earlier rumored news of the identity of the wolf pack in the New Moon movie. The confirmed cast is notably missing female recruit Tinsel Korey–rumored to play Emily–and only list the male members of the cast.

Los Angeles, CA — March 23, 2009 — Summit Entertainment announced today that Native American/First Nation actors Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman have signed on to star as the members of the wolf pack in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. In the film, the wolf pack defends humans against vampires although they have a tribal history intricately entwined with Edward Cullen and his family. The wolf pack members will join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and fellow wolf pack member Taylor Lautner in the film directed by Chris Weitz which will be released domestically November 20, 2009.

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.

Each member of the wolf pack is of Native decent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree. Casting of the wolf pack was overseen by award-winning casting director Rene Haynes who is well-known for her work on Native projects ranging from DANCES WITH WOLVES to BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE.

The action-packed, modern day vampire love story and blockbuster success of the first film in the series entitled TWILIGHT was released in theatres on November 21, 2008 grossing $60.9 million domestically during its first weekend. To date the film has grossed nearly $380 million worldwide. TWILIGHT was released on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD this past Saturday, March 21st and sold over 3 million DVD units in its first day of release making it one of the top five best first day DVD releases over the past two years.

volturi casting 200903231647 AnnaLynne McCord Not Heidi in New Moon as IMDB Reports I’ve seen a few places reporting a change in IMDB as confirmation of AnnaLynne McCord being cast as Heidi of the Volutri in New Moon. I’ve held off on posting, and apparently for good reason–a new interview has been posted on FOX News today, with some new quotes by AnnaLynne–and they seem to absolutely refute her particpation in the New Moon movie–

So it looks as though McCord won’t be starring in the next Twilight flick as rumored (and it is even still listed as ‘rumored’ on IMDB) — but that wasn’t her decision.

“I really wish I was in the next movie, I would love that to be true,” McCord said. “I went to the premiere, I’m obsessed and it would be cool to work with a bunch of my friends (we’re sure she probably mainly means boyfriend Kellan Lutz) but no, I won’t be in it. I’m sorry.”

poster commentary 200903231522 New Moon: Expectations and Reservations Starpulse has an article with three main items that they have reservations or expectations about in the New Moon movie. One thing I’m curious about your feedback on is if you agree they should be careful in cutting down the length–

Many fans criticized the book for being too long. There were several pages that could’ve been eliminated. Ok, Bella misses Edward. We get it. Let’s not have Bella dwell so heavily on his absence. We need to see that she misses Edward and that he truly was what she wanted, but not to an obnoxious degree. Personally, I think it will be interesting to see how director Chris Weitz will handle Edward’s voice cautioning Bella in her head when she tries her stunts.

What do you guys think? Check out the rest of the article at StarPulse. [New Moon movie poster by ticoclamp ]
