video new moon soundtrack 200903211127 New Video by New Moon Trailer Maker Tiffany

Here’s a new video by the person who made all the amazing New Moon trailers. She says:

I have been contacted by numerous up-and-coming artists who wanted to know if I would be able to make a New Moon trailer using one of their songs. Without realising that I would get this many, I was still quite confident that at least I would be able to mention them on my channel, and create a few videos for stand out songs. That was until a week ago when my external hard drive broke. I will not be releasing any trailers any time soon. All of the videos I have ever made, ever started and all of my clips and music is on that hard drive. I have to take it to a computer repair store, and hoepfully I can get my data recovered.

I Edited down each song to only have approx. 1 minute of each. Click on the given links to find the full songs. I used My New Moon trailer & Teaser, the NM novel cover and a NM BG I made to make it a little more visually appealing. Considering I dont have any clips to use any more…*sigh*

I’ve lost my hard drive data before and it definitely sucks. Everyone reading this–backup, backup, backup! On the topic of the soundtrack, Cullen Boys Anonymous has a pretty neat interview with Bobby Long. Among other things, he says–

CBA: Since you had a song, Let Me Sign, on the Twilight Soundtrack, are you working on anything for the New Moon one?

BL: “Me and Marcus Foster have written a few more songs which are cool so were just waiting on acting on it”.

CBA: Do you have any suggestions for songs to use on the New Moon CD?

BL: “Not really I haven’t read the book but I would use an Eliott Smith song”.

I hadn’t thought of that before, but he’s right–Elliott Smith would be PERFECT.

[thanks, Denise!]

vancouver set filming tofino beach new moon Beach Scene Filming in Tofino Concludes

A newspaper for the Tofino area has written a story about the filming of New Moon there, and it reveals some new details about the shoot–

“The weather is perfect for us: rainy, dismal, in the sense of the visuals, the mist on the ocean, the cloudiness, the erratic wind activity,” said Bill Bannerman, New Moon’s co-producer. “Everything is exactly what it should be.”

Under rainy, gray skies, filming kicked off Thursday afternoon at the rugged and rocky South Beach, located near Wickaninnish Beach inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Cast and crew returned to South Beach Friday morning, before moving to Incinerator Rock at Long Beach, where Parks Canada closed down a parking lot popular with surfers for movie crews.

Bannerman said the crew needed to shoot a couple of scenes that would bridge the story’s second act and show the characters evolving personalities and relationships.

twilight harry potter twilight debate Harry Potter versus Twilight: Library Hosts Debate The Seattle Public Library is getting its young visitors involved in a creative way , hosting a debate where students debate the merits of each book.

“There is so much buzz around these two series. At Team Read, it’s our goal to get students excited about reading, and we wanted to host an event that celebrated how much students love these books,” states Bill Eisele, program developer for Team Read.

4TNZ has some arguments that the students might use–

Reasons for Paleness–Twilight: Because they’re undead, Harry Potter: Because they’re British

Leading Ladies–Twilight: Smart, bookish Bella, Harry Potter: Smart, bookish Hermoine

For the record, I’m Team Switzerland for this battle, too. See more arguments over at 4TNZ, and read all about the showdown at the Seattle Times.

vancouver set taylor lautner new moon vancouver New Moon Filming at Tofino Beach For Cliff Diving Scene?

The New Moon crew appears to be filming near a Vancouver Tofino beach–and it just might be for the cliff diving sequence. We already know the cliff diving sequence will be spliced together with CGI, but this looks like a good backdrop to me! LaineyGossip has this to say—

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were in Tofino, British Columbia yesterday – where Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were married but not at that resort – shooting around South Beach and the Wickaninnish Inn. More of that is happening today. Rachelle Lefevre is said to be around too. Cliff diving, near drowning, and rescue…or something.

[thanks for the tip,Twilight Treasury and TwiCrack!]
