Rene Haynes, who was in charge of casting the Native American wolf pack roles in New Moon, has talked to Celebuzz about the process. Besides getting 20,000+ emails during the process, she dealt with tons of eager fans, even on the phone–

Many did not stop there. When Haynes’ office number was posted, the fans called there as well. This didn’t help when Haynes would forward her phone calls to her cell phone and then received the ‘Twilight’ wake-up call usually from a foreign country.

“It happened more than a few times,” she says.

“At 4:27 in the morning the conversation was generally me saying ‘hi’ and I don’t speak whatever language you’re speaking.”

But Haynes generally talked it out. “They are pretty good about not bugging me or calling back. You want to encourage these kids and be realistic at the same time.”

Now that we see the results of her hard work, I think it really paid off! We’ll have to wait and see the movie to be sure, but it’s looking good. Thanks, Rene!

New Moon Poster

According to the Vancouver Sun, fans have been ardently following the whereabouts of the New Moon shoot, hoping to catch a glimpse of something–anything!

Michele Danielov has staked out two New Moon locations hoping for a peek at the stars.

When a friend called to say that the New Moon shoot had set up at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam, she didn’t hesitate.

“I went down there during the day, but it was all blocked off,” said the 37-year-old accountant. Although no active filming is taking place there now, Danielov plans to return to the park.

“The trucks are still there so they will for sure be coming back,” she said.

On Friday Danielov spotted another film crew working in Pitt Meadows, by chance as she was driving by and returned that night with a friend

“On both sites, they brilliantly located them so you can’t see anything,” she said. “It’s surrounded by trees.”

200903301944.jpg The Vancouver Sun reports three locations that the New Moon cast has been spotted at, including a new location we haven’t heard about yet–

Real star sightings are hard to come by as Pattinson is not showing up at location shoots to date. Twilight fan sites are speculating that his scenes are not yet filming.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been sighted on location near Long Beach, Pitt Meadows and Port Coquitlam.

We’ve already heard about filming near Long Beach (Tofino) and Port Coquitiam (Jacob’s House), but what about Pitt Meadows? This is the first we’ve heard of any New Moon action there. It seems to be a fairly rural area of mountains, lakes, and forests. Wonder what’s being filmed there?

200903301222.jpg EntertainmentWise has a new interview with Ashley Greene where she says that she is looking forward to the expanded role she plays in New Moon compared to Twilight–

“You see the relationship between Bella and Alice and the relationship between Edward and Alice strengthen as well.

“Compared to the first film it’s a much larger part for me, so yeah I’m excited.”

Ashley also reveals that there is a strong bond between the actors off screen as well as on, with the cast regularly participating in group hang-outs to take the edge off work.

She adds, “We work long, long days and then get off and go out to eat, or go shopping together, or play music. We all kind of became this close knit family.”

The Alice Cullen-actress also talks about dance lessons she’s taken for Twilight!

caius new moon volturi Jamie Campbell Bower

Caius has been cast! British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower has been enlisted to play Volturi leader Caius in the New Moon movie role, he has revealed exclusively to the BBC–

The 20-year-old, who has appeared in RockNRolla and Sweeney Todd, told the BBC news website that taking part in the vampire series was “very exciting”.

“You’re the first people I’ve told” he said. “Shooting has already started, and I’m going over in June.”

Campbell-Bower teased: “I do know who else will be in it – but I can’t tell you, unfortunately.

“But go online and have a look at the rumours,” he said, then added: “They’re all false. You’re putting me in a terrible situation.”

He does sort of have a creepy/beautiful vibe, no? What do you guys think?

Robert pattinson Amanda Bell at the Examiner has written a new article that questions how Robert Pattinson can best deal with the strange rumors that seem to follow him around. She even spoke with Bobby Long’s publicist to find the best tact to take with the press–

Hartman said that “it’s important for talent to be genuine. It beats artificial and contrived any day, but being transparent with the press is risky.” In Robert Pattinson’s case, nearly any joke or quip he makes is perceived to be high-scandal and becomes twisted into a warped concoction to make tongues wag. This runs the risk, say his fans, of distorting Rob’s true nature. Evidently, though delightful, Rob’s transparency is quite risky, indeed.

Continues Hartman, “So, it doesn’t hurt to be somewhat guarded.” In order to handle the kind of negative and lascivious attention that stars like Robert Pattinson are receiving these days, says Hartman, “the best defense is to use foresight. Regardless, at some point, everyone has someone [who] says something unwarranted about them. Expect it and don’t be moved by it.”

The poster is the familiar New Moon logo that was first unveiled on February 19th via MTV in poster form.
