kristen stewart kristen stewart premiere adventureland Kristen Stewart on the Adventureland Red Carpet Last Night

Kristen Stewart took a break away from filming New Moon for a trip to the red carpet for the premiere of her film Adventureland last night at the Mann Theater in Hollywood.

The 18-year-old actress recently dished to E Online about her character in the flick, Em. Kristen shared, “I think my character had no concept of what she wanted. She feigns that she’s very fine and self-sufficient. She realizes too late she can get over her hang-ups and be good to herself — she is kind of self-loathing and doesn’t treat herself well.”

twilight twilight dvd reviews Early Twilight DVD Reviews are Here The first reviews of the Twilight DVD are starting to pop up on the web. Here are some excerpts from the first couple we’ve found:

KansasCity.com: Likes the special features overall but says the seven-part documentary fails to add much insider info. The best part is the funny commentary by Robert Pattinson, where he makes fun of himself quite a few times. Examples–(WARNING: SPOILERS!)

•During the school cafeteria scene where an iconic apple bounces off Edward’s feet and into his hands: “Wow, he’s a superhuman moron. … He wears lipstick, has a little bouffant and does little circus acts.”

•A make-out scene with his human girlfriend, Bella (Stewart): “I’ve got one of those butt chins” — explaining his usual stubble and beards off camera. During other pivotal scenes Pattinson pipes in to point out his “scraggly sideburns,” “effeminate hands,” “sculpted eyebrows” and a clueless “where am I?” gaze.

•In the forest, when Edward is warning Bella to stay away:

Edward: “Do you know what vampires eat?”

Pattinson (in a high, nasal voice): “Cheeseburgers!”

SciFiWire: Dissapointed with special features, thinks it is a missed opportunity to expand and explain the Twilight universe to outsiders rather than re-hash stuff fans already know.

A seven-part documentary purports to delve into the production itself, but despite a wealth of behind-the-scenes footage that is virtually indistinguishable from making-of material on any other effects-laden epic, no one, not even Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer, manages to qualify why this series struck such a nerve. That said, the “Comic-Con Phenomenon” featurette certainly documents the overwhelming, Beatlesque mania that accompanied the cast and crew’s appearance at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con.

Ultimately, it’s safe to assume that most people who love Twilight will at least like this DVD/ Blu-ray release. After all, it almost literally thanks them for their support and patronage, citing them as the reason for the film’s success, not to mention the fact that it provides them with what must be all remaining footage via two collections of extended and deleted scenes. But for people who believe that there is something more substantive in these books than a series of dreamy-eyed exchanges between two people with perfect complexions, it would have been nice to see something included that could convince others of that depth or meaning as well.

video robert pattinson 200903162209 Robert Pattinson Trying to Get in a Building This new video of Robert Pattinson being hounded by paparazzi while trying to get into a building is kinda hard to watch. I feel sorry for the guy. The French announcer is pretty funny though–it sounds like she is having a really good time at around one minute into it.

vancouver set 200903162045 Updated New Moon Set Video: Jacobs House Verified? The group of red buildings that appeared to be the set for Jacob’s place in New Moon are increasingly becoming verified as the real McCoy . In contrast to the photos we brought you previously, this video by YouTuber brieleigh84 shows that only three cars remain on the set–including the Volkswagen that we assume will be used as Jacob’s car, an old truck, and the security guard’s truck.

Also, in Leigh’s description of a more recent video, she was told by a security guard that it was an untitled sports movie“–matching the description that was unearthed a while back. Score! There are some other interesting tidbits–

There’s a little bit of action on the New Moon set. Crew are working on the ramp, you can see someone carrying Billy Black’s wheelchair inside, and a portable toilet is delivered on a truck. I spoke to someone today, and when I asked if New Moon was being filmed here, his response was “It’s an untitled sports movie” I then asked if the Director’s name was Chris Weitz and he just smiled and chuckled a bit. I also asked if there would be any filming this week. He didn’t really respond and then apologized that he couldn’t tell me….I also noticed that they have added moss to the roof of the house, to make it look old.

UPDATE: Check after the break for some pics that brieleigh84 sent me, of what looks like Jacob Black’s dad’s wheelchair and the ramp for Billy Black’s wheelchair. [click to continue…]

kristen stewart 200903161928 Kristen Stewart Talks About Bellas Cliff Dive: Preparing CGI Now Kristen Stewart has revealed that the process of the creating the fateful cliff dive scene in New Moon has already begun–

“I had to go in and do a head-scan the other day,” Kristen Stewart revealed to MTV News over the weekend, discussing a recent Vancouver appointment to create a computer-generated doppelgänger for a key “New Moon” scene.

The CGI-Bella will appear during a moment Twilighters have long dreamt of watching with their own eyes: the cliff-diving scene. In “New Moon,” Bella becomes so distraught over her breakup with Edward that she dives off a precipice into the icy waters below, hearing his voice whenever she places herself in danger. Fans care so much about the pivotal “New Moon” moment that some have even created their own videos depicting how it should go down. Until now, the biggest question has been whether Stewart would do the stunt herself.

“I went to do a head-scan the other day and it had to be my ‘determined’ look,” she laughed. “They were like, ‘You’re just about to jump, so [pretend] like you’re about to scream or something.’”

Even during the scan, however, Stewart was determined to develop her character. “I was like, ‘No, no, no. She’s set [to do it],” the actress said on Bella’s determination to make the jump.

This is really exciting news, and makes me wonder even more what the scene will look like–since it’s in CGI, with her real face, it would be really neat if the camera followed her down as she jumped!

video ashley greene 200903161914 Ashley Greene on Good Day New York TV Show The local news in NYC have a great segment about the charity work that Ashley Greene did for DonateMyDress.org. She calls Dakota Fanning “a little 30 year old” in relation to how much experience she has. She also says that the film is shooting in Vancouver and Tuscany. The fact that she says Tuscany instead of Volterra doesn’t yet confirm the rumor of New Moon filming in Montepulciano, Italy, but it does seem to suggest they won’t be shooting in Rome. Ashley Greene is always so poised and well-spoken. What a gal!
