twilight principal forks high twilight Interview with Principal of Forks High The University of Washington Alumni Magazine has an interesting interview with the principal of Forks High, the school from the Twilight Saga books. He talks about all the curious fans that visit nowadays–

We’ll walk out onto the street and see them standing in front of our building, taking pictures by the sign. And you can pretty much count on a large number of fans coming during breaks. Spring break was huge last year. And because it’s staggered when different schools around the country take their breaks, we had it for about two months solid-just an astronomical number of people coming by, taking pictures and walking through the school. During the summer, there are people every single day. School’s not in session, obviously, but there’s still some staff around, and they come up and knock on the door, and we let them in and say hi and show them around. Last year, the city dedicated Sept. 13 as Stephenie Meyer Day, and we opened up the school for Twilight tours. And we had hundreds of people coming to the building that day.

edi gathegi 200903161140 New Moon Script is a Lot More Active than Book MTV has a new interview with Edi Gathegi, where he spills some details on the New Moon script and working out with Taylor Lautner–

“I’ve read the script — it’s very good,” Gathegi explained, praising the talents of returning screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Comparing the script to Stephenie Meyer’s 563-page novel, he said, “It’s a lot more active — in the best possible way — than I thought it was going to be.”

Although the novel is peppered with failed romance, depression and thoughts of suicide, Gathegi insisted that the second story is better because anticipation becomes reality. “I’m actually one of the people that think that ‘New Moon’ is pretty active. There’s a fraction of people who think it’s slow because [Edward Cullen] is gone for a long time, and [Bella] is going through depression — but I think it’s more active than ‘Twilight,’ ” he explained. “In ‘Twilight,’ it’s the anticipation every day. The anticipation of ‘What is he?’ And then you discover what he is. ‘New Moon,’ I think, has a little more forward movement; which is great for a movie.

“And I love what I get to do in it,” he said with a wicked grin. “I definitely get to sink my teeth into something.”

The biggest news for Gathegi these days, however, is that the movie version of Laurent won’t go down without a fight. “[In the novel] they talk about me getting chased and destroyed by the werewolves — and in the movie, we’ll see what they have me do,” he revealed cryptically. “We might show it.”

robert pattinson 200903161130 Robert Pattinson Would Love to Make Music with Will Young Will Young, a handsome British singer, is being eyed by Robert Pattinson as someone he’d like to make music with. So says Contact Music, a source of dubious origin who doesn’t see fit to use bylines in their articles–

The Twilight star has frequently mentioned his love for music, insisting it is a career backup plan should his film roles dry up. And Pattinson, who sang on the vampire movie’s soundtrack, is keen to move into the pop genre and duet with the Leave Right Now hitmaker. He says, “Will has a great voice and it would blend really well with mine but I bet he has no idea who I am. But you never know.”

One things is for sure, if the duo paired up it would easily make any fan melt. HecklerSpray adds–

The implications of this duet are massive – leading particle scientists have declared that, should Robert Pattinson and Will Young ever collaborate on tape, the resulting charisma vacuum would likely tear a hole in the space/time continuum and destroy us all.
