With word that New Moon will be filming in Montepulciano, Italy, we thought this commercial that was filmed on the streets of Montepulciano was worth sharing–just imagine a yellow Porsche instead of this Mercedes!

Last night, Taylor Lautner accepted the award for best book at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in place of Robert Pattinson. The Twilight Series won against the Harry Potter Series. Lautner said that he is “currently filming New Moon right now, having a lot of fun, and I can tell you first hand you’re going to love it!”

Does he get slimed? You’ll have to watch the vid to find out.

Is this the set for Sam’s house in New Moon? It might just be. Candise and Emily were kind enough to share these pictures, as well as this info about a movie set they’ve noticed in their area they’ve noticed action on recently–

At first we thought it was Jacob’s house until we saw the pictures of the red place. We had given up hope until yesterday when during my daily drive-by, there were a bunch of cops on the road, some girls hiding in nearby bushes with a camera and I spotted Bela’s Truck by the house! Of couse I didn’t have my camera this time, so I didn’t get a picture of it and by the time I sped home and got back they were done.They packed up the set today but I have pictures of the place from two seperate days, one day it was all tented up with a tarp at the front and the other was after we spotted the truck. We are thinking it may be Sam’s place, the wolfpack are in town so that would fit.

Could it be? The crew trucks definitely look similar to ones seen at the set for Jacob’s house. I know another big-profile movie is currently filming in Vancouver as well: The Cabin in the Woods (codename: Mordecai) from Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) and Joss Whedon–but this might be another set for New Moon if Bella’s truck was actually spotted here.

Stephenie Meyer has an update on her official site where she details the amazing stuff she’ll be donating to be auctioned off to help with her friend’s medical bills for Project Book Babe. These include–

Marked up manuscripts for Eclipse and The Host * — These are early drafts of my novels. Both of them have notes from my editors and lots of small things that were later changed or deleted.

The epilogue to Forever Dawn (FD being the original sequel to Twilight)* — This piece was written January of 2004, before I had started to edit Twilight. It’s pretty fluffy, just something I wrote because I wanted to spend some more time with Edward and Bella. The epilogue revolves around the minor character, Max—J Jenk’s assistant—who had a slightly longer interaction with Bella in Forever Dawn. Because Twilight was still unedited, a few odd things remain, like Rosalie being called Carol. It’s about 3100 words long.

My Eclipse Prom dress — This is the story behind my rather over-the-top dress: the idea for the Eclipse Prom began with a fan suggestion that I do one of my events with a formal dress requirement, to give us all a chance to dress up. I loved the idea, so we created the Eclipse Prom. In order to encourage people to come all fancy without worrying about being overdressed, I promised that my dress would out-formal every other dress in attendance.
