The Spanish magazine Glamour has a fantastic new interview with Robert Pattinson, in which he speaks at length on different aspects of his love life as well as his new movie Little Ashes. Twilight Poison handled the translation from the original Spanish article–

You’re right. That’s what I was going to ask you. Do you believe this story was tailor made for young girls?

Yes, it’s so weird and funny. Afte reading the books I’ve been asking myself why do women act like that, why do they behave like that, especially younger girls. They turn into freaks when it comes to boys. I like nomal girls who don’t pretend to be anything else.

How are you handling being the new It Boy, being in so many covers of magazines now all over the world?

I don’t mind, my character is so good and he deserves to be admired. From the moment I signed up for this I knew what I was getting myself into. Edward is a vampire, he’s not a hero like Superman, he’s a vampire in love who wants to be normal.

Do you get hit on by difficult women?

I’m crazy about independent women who don’t require too much attention.

Do you talk about love in [your journals]?

Actually, no. I’ve only been attracted to two women in my whole life.

Do you remember the first time you loved someone?

Yes. It’s weird to enjoy your first love, especially if the relationship lasts a long time. Our relationship was really beautiful, but we didn’t have an obsessive love like in the movie. Her presence in my life made me very happy for three years. Now it’s kind of hard to talk about it.

That is such a contradiction from everything that every single cast member of Twilight has said that it just constitutes a blatant lie... plus all of his responses to these questions sound like he's answering something else entirely LOL

  • Agreed he has said on CAMERA that he didnt know what he was getting himself into...its kinda weird! I don't think I've ever heard him even once talk about his personal relationships before...Strange!

    Also, and I'm not criticizing him, but he usually seems a little awkward when answering questions. This Q&A session sounds all put together and thought out and that just isn't his normal way. I rather like his really relaxed and bumbling interviews. It's endearing.

  • Exactly, he kind off just says all the time "I don't know", and I love how he says it as well, If I could be obsessive and record it, I would, and then play it throughout the day when I'm peed about something, just to make me chuckle to myself LMAO.

    I love his interviews and I can't say that about this one, it just doesn't seem as though it's him. I could be wrong...

    I know you've mentioned you don't have the DVD yet but in the commentary he makes fun of himself alot and it's funny and cute and we're definitely on the same page. We've officially decided this interview isn't him. There. Done. Decided. LOL!

    I don't think he meant he literally didn't like kids....if its the interview I'm thinking of, the interviewer had questions from fans and he was told that he had a bunch of girls who proposed to him and he was asked if he would marry them and he mentions he doesn't like kids. But I think he meant he doesnt want to marry a kid (cause I'm sure he realized a lot of those questions are from youn girls).....not that he really doesn't like kids.

    Damn.....did i make any sense at all????

  • I'll try to find the magazine to tell you guys if the translation is right. I don't think the interview is false though. "Galmour" isn't a teen's magazine.

    As I was saying in the other post, the love showed in Twilight isn't real, and Rob seems to agree with me. That's because Rob has experienced real love. Not an obsessive love. Not that overwhelming feeling Bella and Edward had. Love is about happiness, friendship and understanding. Of course there's passion, feeling, chemistry. Just not exactly in the way Stephenie wrote it.

    But of course, someone had to come and call me cynic. I'm not a cynic. I just keep it real. I just don't confuse reality with fantasy. That's all.

It's all a matter of preception, what you or I think is normal could seem really strange to him and vise versa. Who don't pretend to be anything else....that's easy, He likes girls who are comfortable enough with themselves to be themselves, someone who is real and honest about who they are! Rather than someone trying to portray something they're not.
    As for the rest of the interview...He seems like a normal 22 yr old guy. Of course he's not thinking about everlasting love and life long commitments, with all do respect he's practically still a child.

    i am 14 and in school today our teacher was talking about us being in that stage where we aint a kid and we're not a adult

    I'm hoping that Robert will get on these sites and post his own comments and talk to us. I don't know about you guys, but I'm just an ordinary 32 year old woman who'll never go to California or anywhere else to meet him so this would be the only way. Unless of course, he just happened to be in Tyler, TX for some reason doing a meet and greet w/the fans. I would be there in a heartbeat to meet him and hopefully get to talk to him about other things besides his acting and music. I would like to know more about the man since we hear so much about the actor/musician.

    okay I am in LOVE with twilight and especially Edward but I think rob is wierd in real life. He doesnt take showers and has a huge accent and hates kids. He is actually pretty mean cus my friend met him at a premeire and he was extremly rude to her. I am not being judgemental, I am just saying he is a bit different if u know what I mean. I love edward in the books he sounds so caring and lovable. He sounds so hot in the books... I know this is wierd but I dont want new moon to become a movie. I think that book wasnt good at all how he left her and it explained on and on how she is sulking around. I want eclipse or breaking dawn. He wont want to do breakin dawn cus bella gets pregnant and that would mean having some scenes with kids, which he doesnt even want though.
