I've heard that he doesn't shower. That could or could not be true. We don't have any proof, we have not smelled him! If he does smell bad than instead of ratting him out online people could tell him nicely to take a shower. Problem Solved.

Okay I have to say that I spoke with someone who went to a club that rob played at Wiskey something anyhow they then got to stalk him (she met him before twilight was out but i spoke with her after twilight was out) and took a picture with him and talked alittle with him. She said he was very nice and tall and more handsome in person then in photos. I asked about the stench she said he smelt really nice other than that He did smell a little of alcohol and cigs but he was in a club/bar. Even if he did stink oh well doesnt change that he is still cute and HOT as a Vampire....just means I wont be getting to close to him without holding my breath. But I honestly think that he takes a shower and washes his hair, I think this stink thing rumor/story happened because he did an interview or ran into someone on a day he was in a hurry and skipped a shower... I have brothers and i must say that guys tend to do that and just try to cover it up with cologn.

Did anyone here read the GQ article?...Where Mr Pattinson refutes some of the ***** comments that are made about him. . .He made a "JOKE" once to a interviewer who, asked him (once again) about his hair...He stated that it stay that way because he doesn't wash it or some such nonsense...It was a frick'n joke...jeeeeeez has that back fired on him. People can say whatever they want to about someone, it doesn't make it true...He seems like a decent young guy just trying to make a living at what he likes to do...They all seem like a nice bunch of people who we would all be lucky just to meet....

Look at the picture on the first page of this site, the cast at the MTV awards - Cam is totally smelling Robert! Robert looks pretty clean in the photo but Cam is definitely taking a whiff.

He has also been described by reporter/interviewers as smelling like a homeless person. Don't get me wrong, I really like RP but I also have heard of a lot of other "pretty" actors doing the same thing. (Brad Pitt, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey, Val Kilmer) They take issue being described as hot, etc so they grunge it up a bit. Who cares?

this is just rediculous, all this banter about europeans and hygiene. let me tell you something, i am european and yes there is an old world vibe about all of us no matter anyone things(and i can see where the comments come from, look at history, its very plain that most back then bathed very little and wore perfume sachets), we do take of our selves by bathing, but to what end, who really knows. in some areas, women are known for not shaving anywhere and men are known for not putting on deorderant, but its also the same anywhere you go. it really just depends on the person.
rob seems like a great guy, but i also think he suffers from depression. and its been said by his own family members in a couple of interviews that rob has been kind of the odd ball. hes still good looking though. i wish him all the best.

Rob hasn't even started shooting yet so how can anyone on set complain about his smell? And while he looked smelly occasionally last year during the Maul tour of terror, he looked clean on all recent pics I've seen. And even last year most fans who met him said he smelled ok - maybe of smoke but not stinky. He was even pictured walking around LA and Vancouver with wet hair recently - probably after a shower after working out. People who believe this are obviously rather guillable. Well Rob knew the backlash would come and I am not surprised that even those who call themselves "fans" fall for it. It's too easy. You don't do the Hollywood pretty boy routine and people jump at your throat for it. I am actually disppointed that you posted this rumour on this site It's not like it's from a valid source or holds any significance for the movie. It is purely diffamatory. If people really had a problem with his smell (and I don't think that's true) maybe they should tell HIM and not Ted C.
Regarding Taylor can we please STOP turning this into some popularity contest between Taylor and Rob? They are both talented good looking actors and seem like nice people. Neither one has ever said anything bad about the other person and I doubt they ever will since they are both polite and well-brought up. IMO, they are both perfectly chosen for the parts they play. But that's it they play a part in a movie. They are not Jacob and Edward and there is no rivalry between them. Rob would probably be the first to be happy to share the limelight with someone else and not be the sole centre of attention anymore.

I probably rolled my eyes reading the comments then I did reading the article. Now, don't get me wrong seeing as I am a huge Rob fan, but the people blaming it on Taylor's fanbase? That's just uncalled for. I have many friends from the Team Jacob side, and they don't take digs at Edward nearly as much as we do Jacob. I personally think it is rather stupid I dislike someone just for their character. As for blaming this article on Team Taylor- please people, consider what you are saying. Ever consider the fact that it is true? Many people claim to love Rob for his faults; just embrace this as another. I implore you to see sense: Taylor was a good, sweet, slightly bewildered but confident person when I met him. He was extremely kind, even giving my friends and I a hug and photo. And the people on the Jacob fanbase are just as bad as we are, though with some diplomacy at times and do not blame one bad rumor on people they don't like. Rob gave an interview just before xmas and he said he made up the story about not taking a shower on a regular basis. Apparently the media and some of you on this website never heard it.

I know people who have met him, worked with him, and they assure me that he smells just fine! This story was started by a certain entertainment reporter who seems to really hate Rob because he is constantly writing negative stories about him. I'm willing to bet the "source" is a figment of the entertainment reporter's sick imagination. It's a lie...plain and simple!

Does anybody really know who posted this article and who the person actually is? Is the source even trust worthy? The article says that it comes from "someone" who works with Rob, but not who it is. If you ask me, they are too chicken to say it themselves. If you are going to post something or say something about anybody, you need to own up to it.
As far as the whole, "Europeans stink" thing, and it being a "cultural thing" I think those who said those things were wrong to say it. I have met Americans and Europeans who stink, so it is not just one culture or the other it is both. Stop hating on each other and get over this issue. If Rob stinks who cares. I have not had the pleasure to meet him, and I would venture a guess that none of you have either. So unless you have had the pleasure of meeting him in person, don't be spreading nasty rumors. Well, I have to admit that we Brits do have a bad rep. and there are still many homes in the U.K. that don't have showers and they bath instead. There are also some other European nations that have an awful reputation, I have had the wonderful pleasure of standing behind them in queues at Disneyworld (Ugh). I live in hot hot Las Vegas and when my relatives from the U.K. come over to visit they often take two showers a day and they have lovely smelly soap, deodrants colognes etc, that I wish we could get in the U.S. Obviously nearly everyone here has written something in support of Rob and that is so important, he is going to hear about his and I hope is just going to have a good old laugh and not let it get to him.

My heart just breaks for Rob, he is having a hard enough time coping with not being able to move around as he used to,.now he is being trounced for smoking, not bathing and drinking (yes, most of us Brits do like to drink but the laws in the U.K. with regards to drink driving are harsh and most Brits are terrified of being nailed). Admittedly being a star has major drawbacks with respect to loss of privacy etc. but this is a young man who is gentle, sensitive and trying to maintain his self esteem, he doesn't need the kind of rubbish they are writing about him. Seems like if this even had any truth to it (which I doubt) why would the set put up with it? I'm sure that Kristen could whisper in the director's ear and the director could certainly say, hey, you need to shower every day out of courtesty to the rest of the cast and crew. It may be that when he's not working he gets a little lazy, but then how come we keep seeing photos where he leaves in the morning and his hair is still wet? Most guys his age can be a little lazy about this stuff unless they are actively dating and especially if they live alone. I just don't see Summit putting up with the complaints. He'll do as he's told on set, I feel sure. I think this guy just makes stuff up when he has nothing better to write about anyway.

If any of this crap were true, it would have been dealt with back with the filming of Twilight. Kristin, or somebody, would have complained and that would have been that. Something about Kristen's demeanor tells me she is not having that......And the way the "crew member" just goes on and on so meanly suggests to me that this is a prank on him. Just a thought... Rob does smoke. I personally think anyone who smokes, even if they bathe or not, stink so bad I can't hardly stand to be around them. Also he likes to hang out in bars/clubs where there is smoke/alcohol. Go sniff someone after they've been in that type of environment. Plus it is cold in Vancouver which means he spends a lot of time indoors. I don't know any smoker who doesn't smoke inside. So they sit there and soak up that stench. Also give the guy a break! He works hard & sweats just like every other guy out there. I think a little of that can actually smell decent. It is just weird if a guy smells like soap or body wash.

Soooo, let me get this straight, if it is a negative story about your favorite star it's false, but if the next minute the same source or writer of the article writes a positive story it must be true.

So if tomorrow the very same people who mostly everyone is thinking is fabricating and lying about RobPatzz being stinky wrote that he's adorably sensitive or anything sweet then they are not fabricating.

The fact is that we don't really know who wrote this or what kind of scruples they have and we really don't know Rob patzz or his hygiene routine and habits.

Most guys and girls shower every day, having tons of perfume and other products to smell fresh, it is important to us. And i think that goes for most of europe to, even England. Although, guys dont shower as often as girls ( i would think, they dont care as much about their appearance as girl do). =)
So probably not that different than americans after all =)

This isn't the first time I've heard something like this. Rob himself said he didn't like to wash his hair or have a shower. Even my brother, who hasn't read or seen Twilight and has only seen Rob as Cedric Digory, knew it. It's something that a lot of people (co stars and all) have said about him.

Personally, I'm sorry, but I can't stand being near someone who smells bad. Seriously. It makes me want to puke. Ugh...

The story below this one says that he was injured on the set. With a direct quote and then it says that it's false. He's getting better at hiding from the press. No one knows where he is right now or what he's doing so they are making this crap up just because they need a story!!

It doesn't have anything to do with promoting Taylor. This isn't the first time I've heard that Rob is not 'fresh as a daisy'. I've heard it quite a few times actually.

Me three.. nothing to do with Taylor. Rob even admitted it on a visit to The Jay Leno Show that he isn't that into personal hygiene. He's just not that into his looks...seems he has better things too focus on.
