I recently took a really long car ride to vermont (we're talking like 13 hours nonstop) so i had a lot of time to think and i planned the whole scene where bella is running through the crowd in italy to save edward before he steps out into the sunlight. Can't you imagine her running her butt off and screaming "NO EDWARD DON'T DO IT!" in slow-mo, but you can't hear her because the sound is cut off and all you can hear is that song playing and the clock chiming. IMPORTANT READ HERE!!!!! =). i strongly believe that i have a song that should be on the new moon soundtrack. it's called "comatose" by skillet and me and my friend love this song. it describes Bellas journey after she lost Edward, for what she thought, was a lifetime in which she is in a comatose type of state (hence the name of the song) i'm going to post the lyrics here and if anyone agrees with me please leave a comment =) i'd appreciate it.

Well, I listened to Dido: “Here with Me”, Muse: “Time is Running Out”, Breaking Benjamin: “So Cold”, Flyleaf: “All Around me” and Sia: “Breathe Me”. I enjoyed them all and agreed with them fitting those bits of the new moon plot Nadya Vlassoff pointed. Off the top of my head – and my mp3 player – I chose the following as contenders:

To illustrate Bella’s depression, “If I could be like that” by 3 Doors Down. This would be the moment when she’s trying to come back around her blues. (Someone also pointed Here without you by the same band – good pick!) “My Immortal” by Evanescence would also represent how haunted she is by her lost love and her inability to let go.

The relationship between Bella and Jacob could have either of the following as song theme: “Bring me to Life,” by Evanescence (Yeah, I’m a few years behind in my music) illustrates perfectly the abyss Bella’s at and her self-confessed need for a crutch. Jacob’s the light and warmth that allows her a glimpse out of the limbo she’s sank into, and this song shows it perfectly. (plus it could be used either in the ballad-y moments or when it picks up tempo).

For Jacob’s friendship-slash-courting POV, Let me love you by Mario is absolutely perfect. It shows how Jacob knows she’s in love with someone else but still keeps himself on the wings, hoping she’ll take him. On the same I-know-you-dont-love-me-but-please-try, Sherryl Crow’s “The First Cut is the Deepest” would also represent Bella’s willingness to fight against her first love’s hold and try to go forward, even doubting she can succeed. “Carry you Home”, by James Blunt not quite as perfect as the first, but it’d still fit Jacob’s feelings.



For Bella-Edward (And I am a very proud card-carrying Team Cullen member), “Same Mistake” also by James Blunt or “Cold” by Evans Blue.

They have a song called "Loved By the Sun" that is absolutely perfect for the scene when Bella is running throught the streets of Volterra trying to stop Edward from walking into the sunlight. The lyrics go "don't make a sound, falling down" perfect for Bella. The chorus also says "I was loved by the sun" which is right on for Edward.

Also.. Dido's "Here with Me" was the opening song for the now defunct "Roswell" TV series and it has been way over played.

Dido "here with me " is an old song from the 90s great song, especially when Edward leaves Bella ,maybe if they re did it a little,for the teen fans some it would be perfect for the movie.

Here is one for you to listen to, it's by Snow Patrol and it's called "The Lightening Strick" it lasts for 16minutes but it's like 3 songs in one, the start has this really haunting sound to it, though we it cuts into the second part you kinda have to listen on until it gets more into it, but I love it.

I think those are good songs, but I think they really need to add Never Be The Same by RED. Listening to that song, it feels like RED wrote that song for New Moon. It explains so much about Bella and Edward, their relationship and how they would feel.

Seriously, if you dont know the song, go listen to it and look up the lyrics. It is completely perfect. Same goes for Sorrow, but All Around Me would be a better fit.

I don't really have any songs popping out at me, but I just hope it's not all mainstream radio or Disney. They should find some music that isn't overplayed and has actual real talent. This isn't necessarily in regards to the list they gave - I heard of a few, but not that many.

They should take "Another heart calls" - The All-American Rejects... it's perfect except for small passages in the lyrics

I would say to definetly add my cousin's band Chiodos, in here!! :D i think with the way that Edward leaves Bella that Craig's song, Intensity in Ten Cities, would be perfect! But then agian you have to remeber that bands make new songs for movie soundtracks. However if not, this song would be perfect! Definately "My Immortal" by Evanescence. Its perfect for the scenes right after Edward breaks up with Bella and she sinks into a catatonic state for almost 4 months.

I really think they should include Romeo and Juliet the Killers remake of the Dire Straits song. It's perfect and seeing as how a lot of the book is entertwined with that epic, it'd be perfect. Also Band of Horses - "The End's Not Near" That'd be good for jacob's perspective of Edward coming back. And Tony Lucca's "Devil Town" (also a remake) just because it's kind of ironic and about vampires. I agree with "Almost Lovers" and I would love to see Muse's "Running Away with You" in the soundtrack, too.

The song "Trapped" by Pherigo is a must. It talks of wolves, a moon, and a love triangle. Its as if the song was written just for Jacob. I think it captures the raw emotion we all feel when reading the books. Here's a link. Song is called Trapped.

I think "Never Be the Same" by RED has to be one of the songs. It fits so well.

RED's new album Innocence & Instinct is really awesome. They have created some really beautiful music with a hard edge too. I'm definitely sold on the song "Shadows" for the movie New Moon. I think it fits perfect to how Bella is feeling.

I actually talked to the manager for Red about this song. They wrote it for the sound track, but it didn't get chosen. There are a few more songs on the Innocence and Instinct CD that would be PERFECT for New Moon. I wished people would listen to this CD is has AWESOME inspired Twilight Saga songs on it! You're missing out!

i really think that "You Found Me" by the fray should be included. I recently took a like REALLY long car ride (we're talkin 12 hours nonstop) so i was really bored and i planned out the whole scene where bella is running through the crowd to stop edward. Can't u imagine bella running in slow-mo screaming "NO EDWARD DON'T DO IT!" but the sound is cut off so all you can hear is that song playing?? I dunno, i just think it would be perfect.

I'm in total agreement with this. I don't want Disney (Jonas Bros? please), I don't want mainstream radio. I want real talent, people who deserve the recognition, and songs that don't get played to death.

The only one that has popped into my head though is "Only" by Ra. Would fit really well with what goes on in New Moon.

ive been saying to my friends that Sorrow by Flyleaf or All Around Me should be in the New Moon Soundtrack, so I find it hilarious that All Around Me is a contender!!!! thats awesome. Seriously, if you dont know the song, go listen to it and look up the lyrics. It is completely perfect. Same goes for Sorrow, but All Around Me would be a better fit.

Hi, i think that Brother Wolf, Sister Moon by The Cult would be wonderful in the film, when Jacob takes off at the end, really haunting song from the Love album 1985, yeah its old now, but perfect.

I don't really have any songs popping out at me, but I just hope it's not all mainstream radio or Disney. They should find some music that isn't overplayed and has actual real talent. This isn't necessarily in regards to the list they gave - I heard of a few, but not that many.

Linkin Park-What I've done is just an amazing track from Edwards POV, I think the words to the song fit perfectly.

They should take "Another heart calls" - The All-American Rejects... it's perfect except for small passages in the lyrics

Boa's I'll Eat You Up??? are you serious?? LOL, i mean that's a fun catchy song but not really New Moon material. i really like Leona Lewis' Run and I Will Be. those two fit really well with the depressed Bella stuff. LOL hmm..i agree with Flyleaf's All Around Me. =]

I love Near to you as well, I always hear it when Bella goes off to find the meadow on her own and when she does she cant cope and curls up in to a ball, it kills me, the book is one big tear-jerker form start to finish!

Definately "My Immortal" by Evanescence. Its perfect for the scenes right after Edward breaks up with Bella and she sinks into a catatonic state for almost 4 months.

I love the songs..... :) Maybe they could make a two-disc set or something for the soundtrack... maybe. I'd buy it.

I listened to Hello, My Immortal and Missing by Evanescence and I vote for Missing and My Immortal. They are prefect as well as Breathe me by Sia:-)

I really think they should include Romeo and Juliet the Killers remake of the Dire Straits song. It's perfect and seeing as how a lot of the book is entertwined with that epic, it'd be perfect. Also Band of Horses - "The End's Not Near" That'd be good for jacob's perspective of Edward coming back. And Tony Lucca's "Devil Town" (also a remake) just because it's kind of ironic and about vampires. I agree with "Almost Lovers" and I would love to see Muse's "Running Away with You" in the soundtrack, too.

I don't agree with all of the list, there are so many awesome songs that would be a great fit, glad it's not my job lol

The song "Trapped" by Pherigo is a must. It talks of wolves, a moon, and a love triangle. Its as if the song was written just for Jacob. I think it captures the raw emotion we all feel when reading the books. Here's a link. Song is called Trapped.

i don't know if I agree with the entire list as i haven't heard them all but I would say a definate YES to Sia's 'Breathe Me'. It's beauitful and every time i hear it, I think Of Edward and Bella. I think that one is a must for New Moon. I so hope they use that one! Please listen to it if you haven't heard it yet.
