200904040025.jpgThe Slate has a new interview with Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, where they talk at length on their experiences filmning Twilight, filming Warrior, paparazzi attention and much more–

Q: What are the downsides of being famous?

K: It’s not really a down side, but you definitely sell your privacy, so a lot of things that you want to do, or you used to do, just going shopping or going to the grocery store, or you know, I went to circuit city which is an appliance store, and I brought Lost on DVD, and I was followed buying Lost, and it’s weird. A lot of times, no one likes you 100% of the time, so when you have people criticizing certain things, you know, thank god I’m not on the internet, like some actors, you know, they have to see what comments are made on IMDB or stuff like that and it kind of breaks them down a little bit in a way and it’s really kind of sad to go that route. But just again, you know, no-one’s going to like you 100% of the time, and it sucks for people who don’t like us for certain roles you do, but tough luck!

A: Yeah, same thing! It’s simply the scrutiny, the scrutiny can be a little over the top sometimes, and then the insane,I mean it’s kind of on both sides of the spectrum, it’s amazing that we get to travel as much as we do but it also takes a toll on your sleep schedule and on your relationships and seeing family and stuff like that. But yeah, they’re really the only two things really.

Check out the whole interview over at RTE 2FM: The Slate.

Kellan Lutz Naked Gay Leather FLaunt

Kellan Lutz posed for this photoshoot for Flaunt magazine recently. Quite a few people sent this in–I’ve had about 15 people email me about it (thanks everyone!). I held off on posting it till tonight so that those of you who check the site from work don’t have a hot flash in the company of your peers.

I wanted Kellan to be my cubby bear before, but with these pics…..well let’s just say I’m thinking a trip to Alaska is in my future. Kellan Lutz does his best impression of a ’70s gay leather porno model, without making it looking cheesy at all. Grrrrr.

How did he get so buff? Celebrity-Mania has this to say:

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Kellan Lutz revealed the secret to his muscled body. “I love to swim. I have a pool in my backyard,” he told Ryan who asked him how he got his “eight-pack” tummy.

In the same interview, Kellan also revealed his love for candy, admitting “I have a candy drawer and I’m terrible with it. Gummy bears, gummy worms, chocolate, everything. I eat so much.”

Wolfman Taylor Lautner and bad vamp Edi Gathegi had a bonding session on the streets of Vancouver yesterday. LaineyGossip has this to say–

Taylor’s been super busy so far. Shooting almost every day. And training, both on his body and on a bike. Am told he’s a sweet kid: polite, grateful, works hard. His dad has been around the entire time – it’s law to have a guardian at his age on the job. Not like Dina Lohan who put her daughter up, when she was the same age, to live at the Chateau Marmont and left. Hopefully then Taylor will be an exception to that curse.

He’s also very popular among his co-stars in a little brother kind of way. Nikki Reed and Kristen are supposedly super protective, also both intent on helping him, whenever possible, to gain more of the spotlight. Making Taylor famous is almost like a project for them.

More Punkd pictures of the duo at Lainey Gossip.

200904031408.jpg Catherine Hardwicke has recorded a thank-you to fans for helping her make lots of money by propelling the Twilight Director’s Notebook to #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list. I would post a thumbnail picture of the cover of the book, but I’d probably just get another letter from her publisher’s lawyer.

Dear Twilight fans,

I wanted to send out a note of thanks to all of you. I recently found

out that my book, Twilight: Director’s Notebook, will debut at #1 on

this Sunday’s New York Times bestseller list. I am stunned. Throughout

this entire process, from pre-production on the film, to the premieres,

to my book events, I have always been overwhelmed by the support the

Twilight fans have had for me, the movie and now my book. I wanted to

give the fans, as well as aspiring filmmakers, a closer look at how we

made the movie and I hope you enjoyed entering my world of making films

as much as I have had in being part of the Twilight world.

Catherine

200904031247.jpg Kristen Stewart’s new film Adventureland opens today in theaters–but will you see it? Amanda Bell at the Examiner asks just that question–

This time, her film Adventureland, which opens today, Friday the 3rd of April, is the focal point. Adventureland stars Kristen Stewart as Em Lewin, who “matche[s]” co-star Jesse Eisenberg’s “innocence . . . nicely [with her] coltishness,” according to the A.V. Club.

Says the Flickfilosopher of Kristen Stewart’s role in Adventureland, “There’s a genuine, honest sincerity to [Eisenberg’s character] James’ fumblings with fellow Adventureland employee Em, who’s got issues of her own, and Kristen Stewart . . . in the role, is an elegant foil and match for James.” “[F]or all her youth,” says the Flickfilsopher, “she has an unexpectedly gritty yet open edge.”

I think I’ll wait for it on DVD, because I enjoyed Superbad–what do you guys think?

Robert Pattinson Bite Machine Twilight UK DVD

In what may be one of the most bizarre marketing experiments to date, the UK DVD release of Twilight is promising a very unique treat for people who want Robert Pattinson’s “autograph.” And by autograph, we mean fake teeth marks on a DVD case.

Well, after months of fans like YOU screaming for a nibble from Rob, your dreams have come true. When the Twilight DVD comes out on Monday (April 6) in England, people might notice a big chunk missing from their DVD case. That’s because it comes with the very first autobite!

They took a plaster of Rob’s mouth (whoever they are – lucky!) and made a steel copy of his teeth, which they used to “bite” out chunks of every DVD case! It’s got his exact teeth marks and everything – which means that if you press it against your neck, it’s like Rob bit you (well, without the deadly good looks and British charm, of course)!

Read more at 4TNZ and the UK Sun. [thanks, Jordan]

200904031218.jpg Kristen Stewart shared a few chioce words concerning New Moon with The Province, a British-Columbia newspaper. She focuses on the relationship of Bella Swan with Edward Cullen and Jacob Black–

“He becomes like her best friend,” Stewart says of the werewolf. “It’s really [expletive] sad. Edward probably isn’t a very good idea for her. He’s not the guy she should actually be with, because it’s not very convenient. And then there’s this guy who comes in and oooohh. Ummmmm.”

Her favourite part of New Moon is the beginning. “Everything is fine. Edward is there. They’re chilling. They’re together. Everyone’s happy. But there’s this eerie feeling like he’s gonna go. Has anyone broken up with you, and you know that it’s coming? It’s weeks before and you’re like, ‘I’m a nutcase, but I swear to God something is wrong.’ And then, however many weeks go by, and it happens. It’s horrible. It’s the worst.”

200904031154.jpg The Little Nickel, a classified-ads newspaper from Washington, has been contacted by the New Moon prop department in order to provide authentic set dressing for a pivotal scene in New Moon–

A little background. I work at a classified paper in Washington called the Little Nickel. We have 12 editions in Western Washington, 5 in Eastern Washington and 4 in Oregon and 1 Southwest Washington Edition. I am the receptionist in one of the main offices, I usually get most of the calls, but this call went straight to the other admin. assistants.

I was working on Thursday March 12th, and I was you know doing the work thing and all of a sudden one of my co-workers Julie, tells me, ” Did you do that?”

“Do what?” I asked confused.

“Tell the ‘Twilight’ people to use our paper in the new movie?”

“WHAT?!?” I exclaimed. I had no hand in this.

Just my luck, the story is that someone from the what I assume is the production team who works with the props picked up one of our papers and asked permission to use it in the movie and requested 20 of Peninsula/Kitsap edition to be sent them in Vancouver. Of course I asked if I could deliver them or have Robert or anyone from the cast come pick them up. But Julie mailed them out that afternoon.

But for which scene will the papers appear in? The blogger notes that–

I just found out that they called asking for more papers today about 6 bundles of this week’s paper. That’s way over 240 papers for the rack they will be using in a scene tomorrow.

The scene I heard it will be used for is the ‘movie theater’ scene. We all know what scene that is, where Bella tries to organize a group outing to the movies, and slowly couple by couple people start to flake out and all that’s left is Bella, Jacob and Mike!
