TwiCrack has a great little fan encounter with Robert Pattinson–Hush Hush, seen above a few weeks ago with Rachelle LeFevre, has this to say about experience being in the presence of Robert Pattinson, where she saw him taking part in a new New Moon photoshoot–

i went there today and saw my only Robert! omg ! i was shaking! so starstruck but couldnt get a pic coz the bulky bodyguards are everywhere! once they see you with a camera they would look at you like you’re some kind of a murderer! such a piercing look. so I just watched and look at “our” only Rob! ahahha. I got a closer look at him when they did the still photos at the lobby, on the stairs and on the foyer! i went home happy. I definitely saved the best for last! ahahahah.. it looks like they were only filming biology class and cafeteria scene.

Kellan Lutz Chateau MarmontKellan Lutz is taking a snowboarding trip soon, he told the LA Dish Rag. —

“I love snowboarding but I can’t tell that to the studio because I’m not supposed to be snowboarding just before shooting.”

Well, no one from Summit’s gonna read The Dish Rag, so you can relax.

He then has two weeks of New Moon shooting to prepare for, although he says the vamps don’t take a big part in New Moon–

After the snowboarding, which we’re not going to ever mention again, he has two weeks of shooting on the set of “New Moon.” But it’s pretty low-stress.

“This one is not about the vampires at all. It’s more about the werewolves. Taylor’s going to be great. He’s really stepped up to the role and he deserves it.”

Montepulciano Italy New Moon

As far as we know, the New Moon movie will be shooting in Montepulciano, Italy instead of the Italian town mentioned in the book, Volterra. With that in mind, let’s take a tour of the sights of Montepulciano and see if it’s up to the task of filling in for the sights of Volterra that we’ve shown you previously!

Check after the break for 20+ high-res pics of Montepulciano!

MTV has this exclusive pic of Robert Pattinson from his Dossier photoshoot. He’s my Wolverine! Grrrrr…..

In the exclusive photo, which doesn’t appear in the magazine’s spread, the “Twilight” star is clad in a tight white tank and tight jeans, smoldering in the way only he can. Let’s not forget the fact that his signature hair is looking very bed-head messy and particularly Edward Cullen-like.

While you’re at it, check out this video from E! …..”Robert Pattinson is a bad, baddd, boy!…Whatcha thinkin’ about Rob, a girl perhaps?”

[thanks, Tammie, Vid from HGE]

200904081613.jpg The NY TImes has an interesting article about why romance novels do so well during a recession–because they give an escapist thrill that lets you ignore the bleak outlook in real life for just a moment:

“Given the general dismay and gloominess,” said Jennifer Lampe, a lawyer in Des Moines and avid romance reader who runs a book blog under the pseudonym Jane Litte at dearauthor.com, “reading something like a romance with a happy ending is really kind of a relief.”

Such escapist urges are also fueling sales of science fiction and fantasy, said Bob Wietrak, a vice president for merchandising at Barnes & Noble. Mr. Wietrak said sales of novels with vampires, shape shifters, werewolves and other paranormal creatures were “exploding,” whether they were found in the romance, fantasy or young-adult aisles, where Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series continues to dominate and inspire look-alike books like the House of Night teen novels by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast.
