This isn't really a "mistake", but has anyone else noticed that Victoria is at the prom when Edward and Bella first walk in? You see the back of her with her red up-do and white furry thing she's wearing. It really bugs me that they put her in that scene, because Edward and the other Cullens would've been able to smell her, and she probably wouldn't be able to control herself in a room filled with so many humans!

I noticed that and wondered why Edward didn't pick up on it with her so close he could easily see her thoughts.

Possibly...but look at his head. its nearly touching the window in one shot, and in the other, not even close.

And it's in front of the lamp in the close-up. It's behind in the wide shot.

So this always bugged me... and I watched it again today to look.

It's the same room, but the furniture was moved! In the earlier shots the lamp is BETWEEN the two windows, but when they do the wide shot they moved the couch more toward the painting on the wall and the lamp is moved to the right of the two windows!

I very rarely catch movie mistakes unless they are OBVIOUS! But that one was sneaky. I noticed his head but assumed it was because he "fidgetted" in his sleep like a human is supposed to... but the window and lamp were a bit sneakier!

The Bits Where You only see Edward in the hospital scene are because Kirstein was At Scholl So He had to do Most Scenes Without her

yes the movie had mistakes but whats done is done and i still think that it was a great movie... but hopefully chris is better than catherine lol

What I don't get is why in the movie, first, Jake tells Bella about the Cullens and then Bella buys the book, then she has dinner with Edward, and AFTER that she reads the book, searches in internet and finds out that Edward is actually a vampire. In the book, when they have dinner, she already KNOWS what he is!. For me, the fact that she knows he is a vampire and annyways decides to stay with him for dinner is SO important. That shows she loves him, cares about him and does not care about the vamp stuff. But why did they did it the other way in the movie? I don't get it!

The book bugged me anyway, what was that about at all? If they wanted to give her a reason for going to/near a bookshop they could have fleshed her out more and shown her reading, for the fun of it. Why did they have her look on the internet, find a book, buy the book, fail to take it home from Edward's car, read 1 or 2 pages then go back to the internet?? That's the part that doesn't make sense. And if they'd done the cafeteria scene with the two of them sat down it would have been more intense than the salad bar and stupid hokey apple thing.

Back to the continuity errors, yeah every film has them, I quite often see them (I also quite often spot typos) and think I would make a good script supervisor, lol

that annoyed me so much! also during the garage scene it really annoyed me that emmet kept telling jasper how to kill a vampire. jasper of all people should know how to kill a vamp! jeeez!. and then they kept repeating it!!! it just didnt make sense for them to say it out loud to each other. i guess i understand its necessary for the audience but still!

ok, my sister kept complaining about this too, but litterally, it was only mentioned twice. once to let people know, and the second to make sure they know what's going on, and also cause they needed some back dialog.

What about when they are in the garage and Edward is throwing Bella's clothes to Rosalie and than to Esme so they can trick James regarding Bellas' scent.

As he throws the clothes to Esme: He says "Here Esme" and than throws them at her the camera zooms in that direction, No Esme.

Than He says "Here Rosalie" and than throws them at her the camer zooms in that direction and there is Rosalie.

I know they wanted to show "She's looking for revenge and this isn't over for me" but just because he was in a room with lots of people (the prom) doesn't mean that would have slipped by him. Gotcha on that one. That was another boo boo they made. Because remember when they had to leave real fast.

When they came in the Jeep, it made deep mud indentations dirt tracks. Than they just parked the Jeep.

When they went to leave, the Jeep was already facing the other direction ready to leave. Check it out the next time you watch the movie.

what about the fact that you can see the vampires breaths in some scenes..thought their bodies were supposed to be cold/around the same temperature as the air surrounding them? also when edward's telling bella about how carlisle changed him into a vampire he goes from sitting on rocks, to under a tree getting drenched to sitting on the rocks again. one more thing; when he and bella are in the forest and they're talking about him being a vampire, edwards in a tree leaning close to bella, then the shot changes to a camera further away and edward's face is away from bella again to a close up where thier faces are practically touching. some mistakes were just a little bit stupid

Check out the right side of his face they did not put enough make up coverage on.

Ah. There is also a part, when Edward first comes back to school after dissapearing for a week, they show a close up of his face and you can TOTALLY see the contact lense lines in his eyes. It's like, if they are going to do a close up, at least edit that part out, it didn't take very long for me to see them and I have pretty bad eyesightt, lol

In this same scene it totally obvious they filmed it when they weren't sure what they were going to do with Edward's hair. If you look at its he's almost completely brunette.

Also, Rob's English access kind of slips out here when he says 'So yur worried.. not because you'll be in a house full of vampires..'

You are so right. I mean those "mistakes" happen often in movies....most of us don't even notice that sort of stuff. It's not a big deal.
But that with Victoria was just absurd, Edward could certainly smell her if she was in the same room with them...even when she's watching Bella and Edward outside when they're dancing I think he could've smelled her.

that made me mad that they added stuff and i dont like the whole security guard dying scenes and with charlies friends dying, that was unnecessary.

and if they didnt put those pointless scenes they could have focused more on edward and bellas relationship...its kind of weird how they barely talk and then in the forest when shes saying how hes a vampre they are already in love....i didnt read the books first and so when i watched the movie i was kind of confused.
i did like the movie, but they could have done a better job with it.

I totally agree with you about billy driving the truck if he suppose to be in a wheel chair!!!! I also seen the movie before reading the book and notice some of the strange mistake going on that seen in particular. Why the hell did she have him drive? did she really think no one was going to notice i mean come on... also another thing if she was on a budget she should of left those additional seens out and stuck with what really happened in the book.... to me it would of been less money and more info from the book.

well the little things that didn't require money could have been better. the script especially! some scenes didn't have to be in there, some scenes were left out. some lines didn't have to be said and some NEEDED to be in there ( ex: "i love you") :P i'm not complaining, it was a good movie, it could have been wayyyy better. also the meadow scene - how expensive could that have been? i have a meadow in my back yard they could have borrowed lol

i'm really glad chris is directing... he seems to know exactly what he's doing and it sounds like the movie is as close to the book as possible.

the guy directing eclipse, however, i'm not so sure about... at least chris had the courtesy to send a letter to us fans letting us know that he was excited to direct one of our beloved movies.

I agree I think this movie does suffer from lack of money. I am sure that there were various reason for that but how could they not know that it would make money. And it turned out to be a success even and then the DVD sells so many copies...I think she did a wonderful job.

I guess they weren't specifically told NOT to eat??? It seems as though one would read the series.... but maybe they are concerned about focusing on the script ; }

It's funny to see, but that's it...

Edit; the only thing that bothered me (a little bit) was when Bella was in hospital, and when those tubes change position in the close-up and wider shot...

The tubes jumping around bothered me...it was so obvious, the closeup she could hardly open her eyes because it was catching her eyelashes then in the wide shot the tubes were back down where they should be. It's true most movies have mistakes. But there were a LOT of continuity mistakes in Twilight. I still love the movie (and as someone said Hardwicke excelled at casting for the most part), but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been better on some of these things. It's true she had a small budget, so she couldn't reshoot, but why were there so many errors like that in the first place?

In the voice-over commentary, Hardwicke even sounds confused when Rob mentioned a couple things that he didn't understand. Like when Bella leaves the book store and the view is through the trees, Rob says "is that supposed to be me?" (Of course, in the book he was physically following her, but actually reading minds to get to her, but they couldn't really do that in the movie without an explanation that he could read minds and this was before that scene). Seemed like a natural question since he probably was not there when the scene was filmed and Hardwicke hemmed and hawed like she had no clue what she had been thinking when she filmed it. I love Twilight, but I have high hopes that Chris will be a more accomplished director.

He also called her out on the van thing. It really does not make sense even with Ice on the parking lot (Physics majors my butt). I still think is it a great scene if I don't watch the van coming straight across for what? two feet?

I work in the medical field and it seriously bothers me. NO ONE has their nasal cannula up that high. It looks very unnatural.

I am a nurse, and that damn cannula annoyed the crap out of me. Aside from the fact that it wasn't placed naturally, it is in 2 different positions! that drove me crazy. and Edwards head. The hospital scene was just all screwed up.

That was the worst part of the movie for me too! lol....I have a hard time with hospital scenes....always like "that doens't happen!" fix the cannula already!

The only thing that bothered me in the movie was when Edward and Bella go talk by the cliffs and whatnot and he tells her about his family ( like carlise and alice) and then the scene changes and they are hiding and its raining and then its back to the rock, with the same storyline. He goes from wearing the cute peacoat to a black shirt ( drenched in rain) and then back to the peacoat all dry. wtheck was that lol. Other than that i still liked the movie because edward does dazzle me!

it's meant to show passage of time

those scenes were meant to be taken as taking place over time-not in one day. hence the different clothes and rain. Like she was getting to know him over time~a period of a few days. But anyways the mistakes in Twilight were alot and could have easily been fixed in editing. CH really dropped tha ball

Can we say wardrobe...wardrobe...wardrobe. I was so excited after reading the book and then reading the extended chapters on the Stephanie Meyer's website about prom and the dresses. The vampires had money! And poor bella looked homeless in that off the rack nightmare and sneakers....Please New Moon get the wardrobe right. Alice loves her family and Bella now and I'm pretty sure she'd take a nip at someone dressing bella that way. Ha Ha :)

OMG! Hasn't anyone noticed that the Taxi driver, and the school reseptionist is the SAME PERSON!?!? And, at the prom, when they are kissing, they suddenly switch sides when they are kissing. Both times, Kristen's nose is closer to the camera when they change the veiw! LOL. That was actually funny, though.

YES!!! (to the taxi driver/school administrator lady) I've been going crazy for months trying to figure out if they really are the same person.

they're just continuation errors and nearly every movie has some. I don't think these are that bad considering the budget for the film. The worst is when you have a multi million dollar film where so much money has been thrown at it and it still full of errors.

All I have to say is who cares? Unless your OCD this shouldn't bother you, in no way does it "hurt" the film.

yeah, I laughed really hard when I read somewhere that somebody actually caught over 200 mistakes in a first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and over 900 in the LOTR saga!

(btw, I wonder how much time does this mistake-detecting pursuit take... some people really need to get a life! LOL)

One thing that bugs me about the movie is In the begining when Mike asks Bella to the "Prom" he says it is like a month away, and then when Edward comes into Bellas room the first time she asks him how long he has been doing it and he says just the past few months. And then the story continues and all of a sudden it;s prom. There is noooo way !! I know they were trying to stay true to the book and all but it just bugs me how the actuall time line of the movie is messed up. Mike shouldn't have said "like a month away" They should have just left it to him asking her to prom.

Yea lol well u've got when Victoria's crying, it's actually the smudged miscara that shows that she was crying (Doesn't happen with vampires), um and also there's the tv in the background in the hospital scene- it's playing the previous fight with James and Edward LOL!!!

I've never noticed the TV in the hospital before...guess I will have to watch the movie for the 105th time!!

I've had to stop watching the movie SO much because I kept picking out little flaws like that. I love Twilight, yes I think it could have been better BUT there's no going back and I'll take what I can get and just have higher expectations for the other films to come.

These are the 2 that stood out for me....

1. When Edward drives Bella to school....its a sunny day and he doesn't sparkle!!! Neither do his brothers and sisters! WTF!

2. After Bella and edward have dinner and they end up stopping at the police station....when she gets out of his car....she doesn't have her purse!

The purse / shopping bag thing drove me NUTS! She's walking in without the book she just bought and then goes to read later! I suppose when scenes aren't filmed in order, it's hard for actors to remember, even though it's totally not their job.

You're right. It's not the actors' job to catch those things. It's the script supervisor's job. Yep...that's right....there's a person who's job it is to prevent continuity issues. LOL! Of course, in that woman's defense, they altered the script on set alot and added new scenes, so I can't blame her for missing some things.

Ugh! That one bugged me too! How is she supposed to have gotten the book she got home? I guess Edward could have dropped it off in her room, but then she'd REALLY know something was up!!

And really, why didn't they sparkle then? ?????

What drove me nuts was during the Baseball scene: ROSALIE'S HAIR!!! In one clip it would be perfectly curled, and nice. Then the next clip it would be wavy and messy and frizzy! .. then POOF back to beautiful again!! DROVE me nuts!!! LOL

I don't typically pick our mistakes in a movie. I am not a perfectionist. But unfortunately Twilight has so many, that the more you watch it, some of them stick out like a sore thumb.

i agree about Rosalie's hair! I knew that the weather was giving them huge problems so they had to put all the girls in hats cuz it was ruining their hair, but p.s. the hats looked stupid. especially on esme. blech. jasper looked hot though.

I didnt pay attention to the different hair initially cos i was shocked at how horrid the girls looked in the baseball caps. Bella looked ok but not Esme!

during the van crash scene Bella is wearing her gray tshirt under her hoodie, but at the hospital shes wearing her long sleeve white shirt with buttons...? when did she have time to change?

Trucks can be adapted to allow for handi-capped drivers. As long as you can move your head to look properly for traffic it's done all the time. My mum is disabled so I have personal knowledge of this.

There is another mistake they made during the scene in Port Angeles where Edward rescues bella from those guy's. When his car comes speeding around the corner, and slams to a stop the license plate on the front of the car is showing Washington plates...but when they speed away onto the busy street, the close up shows an Oregon license plate on the car.

About that dint, when Jacob comes over after Edward had fixed it, he says "oh you fixed the dint".. how did he know about it.. I know Charlie could have told Billy and blablabla but audience don't know that. I just literally love this movie and the books so somehow the mistakes don't bother me..

I noticed Edwards head moving from side to side the 1st time I saw it in the theater... I tend to look for those mistakes. LOL

same... i noticed that during the hospital scene, the nose thing on bella's face kept changing positions depending on the closeness of the shot....its kind of fun looking for those mistakes...

OMG. I spot these things all the time. It's hard for my friends to go to films with me because I see this stuff. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the ton of visual and continuity errors in Twilight. Hell, even Rob points out some of them in the commentary. How when they are 'speeding' out of Port Angeles, the scenery in the window is moving by slowly, as if the car is only moving 20 miles per hour. Bella has her purse when in Port Angeles, but when she gets out of the car at the police station, she doesn't have her purse. Rosalie's hair changes length throughout the movie.....and style. Victoria at the end of the movie is a HUGE continuity issue.

My favority issue...which is one I have with the book too........James not knowing Bella is human until the wind blows her scent. I mean come on....she's the only human for miles. Couldn't James hear her heart beating once he stepped into the field???

yeah that whole James thing bothered me too. Especially with the whole heart beat thing. If you read "Breaking Dawn" it's clear that vampires can hear the heart beating and smell humans easily. It always bothered me that Edward told her to put her hair down like it would honestly do something. Heck it prob made it easier for James to catch her scent when the wind blew!

ah..but in twilight carlisle introduced his family before 3 things happened at the same time.. so if that was the case then wouldn't it be an error on Stephenie part. I can't blame Catherine on that one.

I've seen Twilight many times and I still think the 'intro' scene in the school cafeteria is a bit wonky. Bella, Jessica and Angela look to their side when Bella asks "Who are they?" after seeing the Cullens for the first time but when they enter, the door is behind them and we can see that by the time Jessica looks to see, they are already behind her! Same goes with Edward. We see the Cullens enter from our point of view but to me the characters are turning to look where they shouldn't be able to see them coming in at all!! Another one is the length of Edward's folded shirtsleeves when he brings Bella home for the first time. It keeps changing throughout the whole time! I enjoy watching out for stupid stuff like this and when one watches a movie many-many times over one is bound to see them!

The only one that REALLY bothered me is when they are in the garage getting ready to run from James and Edward throws something at Esme and she isn't even in the scene. That one really bugs me.

The Movie better make me cry otherwise I will be disapointed. The book did. It was so beautiful the way Stephanie wrote the Book. I hope they really are able to stay as true as possible.

No offense to anyone,...but wasnt this the biggest reason that people were really dissappointed about Twilight: over-anticipation. I can relate, I'm a big fan...but I try not to be OVERLY-OBSESSED... I, like alot of twilight loving teens, couldnt wait for the movie to be released, and was kind of let down when i saw it (ex.: the blood-typing scene. I was bummed when they didnt put it in the movie) but the more I watch it, the more i realize that, sure, the movie had some flaws, but you have to realize that they added different scenes to make it make more sense to the audience, its different in the book because we know what bella's thinking. It'd take too long to explain, and I've already wrote quite a long paragragh, but my point is...maybe we should look forward to the second movie, but not in a way that we cant handle change... thats all I have to say. Sorry If you dont feel the same way.

I think the things with Bella's hair are understandable. When she moves her head her hair would move. I agree with lots of people that some of these things should have been noticed. I didn't pick up on any of these things when watching the movie though.

There are more mistakes or bloopers --

In the scene where Edward saves her and says to put her seat belt on -- you hear the car engine revving like he is speeding but if ya look out the window the car is only doing like 10 miles per hour.

Then in the truck after she tells her father she is leaving -- when Edward jumps on the side and says let me drive -- his hair doesnt blow in the wind.

When they pull into the police station the night Edward saves Bella -- pulling in - he actually pulls in twice the angles are different.

When she gets out of his car at the police station and goes into the station -- she doesnt have her purse or the book she bought at the bookstore.

There's a stunt double who is on the outside of Bella's truck when she "leaves" Forks. You can tell from his hair and stance. i think it's funny :P

ya, i noticed a lot of these too, but actually i figured out (or at least that's how i like to think of it) that when then camera pans to the police station from inside the car, that's just like, his/her head turning to look in that direction, and then the shot from outside the car is when they actually turn in.

There is one point at the beggining when her truck is in the driveway, then it isnt.

And people move in their sleep :P

In the two pics of Edward pretending to sleep, the upper shot shows a window between him and the lamp on the table and in the other shot there's no window at all. It's amazing to me that these things are missed.

The one huge mistake that i seen that REALLY bothered me is that in the alley scene when she is being harrassed by the guys, in the background you see a cameraman or something on the ledge above the guys heads. I noticed it the first time i seen it and it just bothers the heck out of me now...and nobody acknowledges it - even in the commentary, i thought that for sure they would have said it then....

It's actually two people embracing.. i think. There was a big discussion about it on another website i saw.

Yeah I usually look for those types of things. My boyfriend and sister are crazy about finding the errors in every movie. The thing with the tubes is the one thing that my sister and I were so annoyed with. It's so minor but it bugged the crap out of us!
But these mistakes happen in every movie, no matter who the director is.
But New Moon better not have these mistakes, or Chris will have to answer to me! haha...jk jk

Yeah I defiantely realized that. But I usually don't put everything together when I read it, I just make up my own little image in my crazy little head. I did think about that after I posted it though.
For instance, even though Stephanie described the characters well enough to get an image I had totally different people in my own head. Then when I saw the movie I questioned to myself the appearances and when I re-read it, I realized I'm bad at visualizing the text. =(

After seeing Twilight a few times, I did notice the backpack in the forest, Edward's head position in the hospital & Bella's oxygen tubes. But never saw any of the others, even when I already heard about them, I still didn't notice. Shrugs...too busy drooling over Rob I guess HEHEHE

those are not mistakes... Okay lets start off with the first pic. The pieace on the jacket could have moved on anybody if they were running through a forest. and for the secound pic, he is pretending to be sleeping, people do move when they are sleeping so he could haved his head, that could be consider a minor mistake

It's not a piece on the jacket. It's called an epaulette! When Edward was running, I'm sure it's fairly impossible for the epaulette to button itself. Unbutton maybe. But not buttoning itself! And the second picture... He wasn't sleeping, He's pretending to sleep! And you know how SM described vampires in Twilight... They don't shift their heads when they're pretending to sleep. They keep absolutely still.... Lol. There's so many bloopers in the movie. But does it really matter? :D

I think the bit where Edward moves his head while "sleeping" is perfectly sensible...I mean, sure he isnt sleeping, but after living 90 years trying to blend in as a human, he must have had to perfect the pretense of acting like a normal human, and humans tend to shift in their sleep. But thats not my only theory. My other one, and this one seems more likely, since Edward knew Renee was planning on telling bella that they were going to move to Florida, I'm sure edward was just gauging her reaction, because I'm sure he was worried about her answer. I dont know. It might sound weird, but the latter is the most suitable reason I can think of. I know this isnt that big of a deal, but I dont think we can fairly judge it as a mistake, because it might have been purposely planned.

At least it's still the best movie

Maybe you are too clueless to realize but a Native actor rarely goes into mainstream media. It only happens for a select few like Wes Studi, Eddie & Michael Spears, Graham Greene, and Gil Birmingham. It takes them twice as long, and twice as much work to prove themselves. They have EARNED this chance. They DESERVE the chance to prove themselves. Even if they suck big time I will still defend them. I will always be proud of these guys, and gal(s) for doing this film.

Twilight had so many flaws I think Rob and Kirsten are great actors but I don't think Twilight is an acting masterpiece for either of them....I have faith that Chris will do a much better job at directing and actually show us the acting potential they both have which I think Catherine failed to do.

another one is during the ballet scene james breaks her right leg. then in the hospital her right leg is bent and appears to be fine. then when they show gpinng to prom the cast is back on the right leg again.

her right leg is bent because the cast is on from the knee down, and covered by the bedding.

When bella runs to her room to pack her things when running from james, you can see edward on the inside of the doorway, in clear daylight where anyone can see him, including charlie.
so that was kinda lame.

LOL. Im pretty sure it was night! and Charlie even says 'ill drive you to the airport in the MORNING' to Bella. And i didnt notice Edward hiding in the doorway until i watched the film a second time round

My favorite error is the one in the scene JUST after Edward rescues Bella from the guys harassing her in Port Angeles and his fabulous Volvo screams up to the curb to a stop and lo and behold the car has an Oregon plate! Earlier in the flick when the car is parked in the Forks HS parking lot, it has a Washington plate. Being a Washington native and very familiar with Washington and Oregon plates, I howled at such a silly error. Oh, well...I LOVE finding these slip ups and wish I could make a job out of it. For the few video advertisements I've shot, I've caught these kinds of errors DURING shooting! Love it!

There's a enormous mistake at the scene when, by a riverside, Edward explained to Bella how he was transferred by Carlisle. First Edward wore a light gray short coat and deep blue shirt. And then, when it came to rain, Edward was from all wet in his black jacket with gray T-shirt inside to clean and dry in the previous short coat talking to Bella, wearing in the same costume all the time, at the same topic.

I wonder, maybe the director wanted to illustrate the frequency of Edward and Bella spent time together after Port Angeles event. But that's so poor quality of cinematic technics..... (at least she should've had them change the outfits and shoot the scene at different spots.)

I haven't read through all the comments so not sure if anyone else noticed this. It wasn't listed on the 10 mistakes page. When Edward saves Bella from the attack from the guys and they speed away, you can see that the license plate is clearly an Oregon plate instead of Washington..

There was another thing that kinda bugged me, not mistakes really, but yea.
Some on already pointed out the weirdness that was Victoria being in the prom looking at the CDs or something when Bella and Edward first come into the prom.
Wouldn't Edward have picked up her thoughts with her so close.

I think he knows, but is 'acting' appropriately so Bella doesn't freak out. She has only just learned about his mind reading so he doesn't want to bring on too much too fast.

I don't usually get mad at mistakes except for the one in Pearl Harbor where Ben Affleck's character has a scarf on one second and then it's gone the next. I was like WTF. I had to keep rewinding it just check. I thought I was going crazy. lol

Good thing you brought Victoria up when she was at the prom scene. My husband and I (yeah, poor husband) didn't even understand who the heck this girl was until we watched the movie for the 3rd time just because Victoria wore this white fur cape (it doesn't look like fur but you know what I mean). Rochelle’s make up was just terrible. And what’s the updo all about? They could have just left her gorgeous hair down. Rochelle's make up could have been done a lot better than that. She's a gorgeous lady.

Bottom line is, there's really no point of putting her at the prom scene since Edward would have been able to detect her presence (logically it wouldn’t work). Catherine could have just cut a scene of her alone - mourning and being devastated over the loss of her partner James. That would flow a lot better in the next sequel, New Moon. People who have not read the book will have a decent idea that when the next Twilight movie comes around they would think that the bad vamp Victoria would be after Bella for revenge. If you haven’t read the book you would have no freaken clue what the last scene was all about and you would go and wonder “who the heck is she?”, “what was she doing there?”, “what was the smug smile for?” – just doesn’t end the scene quiet as good I hoped for.

I read somewhere that apparently the can of mace spray Charlie gives Bella is coloured green to indicate that it is for use for training purposes only and wouldn't actually work (though she uses it on James). Personally, I didn't notice any mistakes as my eyes were just glued to Rob.

If anyone looked at the 10 mistakes, did you notice on the right hand side of the screen it had a list of mistakes in movies and Harry Potter had 15,so ,HELLOOOOOO. I think these people are human,and did a great job,particularly with the budget they had to work with, and no one can deny that the cast was phenominal.No mistake there.

No one is denying that it is a good movie and that they did their best.
They are only human and they make mistakes.
Know one is saying that they are bad people or anything for this, it's all in fun, relax.

LOL I never caught any of that stuff...the only thing I caught was the whole Billy Black driving thing. but the boom operator one is actually pretty sad well to me. thats like filming 101, but the rest are fine to me...well except the one w/edward in the hospital and in one shot there's a window and the next there's not. I kno it was pretty crazy shooting Twilight with the bad weather and the no money thing, so some of the mistakes forgivable.

Yea the Billy driving thing bugged me cause that is the whole reason Jacob goes there is to drive Billy, in the book. But that's ok, Billy was hilarious and I am just glad he was in the movie :)

Yea I loved him...one thing they did do good was the casting.

Hmm..I have OCD..(Obsessive Cullen Disorder) SO none of this concerns me at all!!! I loved the movie...I was too busy Watching Kristen and Rob's chemistry..And how every character was picked perfectly!! Plus, Rob, was incredibibly sexy, so all my time was focused on him!! Did anyone notice in the scene where Edward and Bella stop at the station..And When Edward is talking to Carlisle he doesnt blink like even once!!! I thought that was awesome acting..!!! :)

i catch stuff like that all the time in shows and movies but i try not to let it bother me, but sometimes you just can't help it.
the reason in the prom shot that they suddenly kiss sides is because the platform that they are on, in the center of it it spins in a circle. that was for the dance affect.

the backpack is still there but the circle has moved, their own continuity mistake. But the backpack is upside down and therefor darker.

i just read the 10 things and they are subtle but they are cute to know about so now i will pay more attention for the next time cuz there were only like 2 that i didn't notice before watching it. the backpack one i didn't notice or the hair out of the hood then in it.

This is so funny! Of course, we do see a lot of mistakes as we replay Twilight many times. Twilighters, how many times have you seen Twilights so far? 5? 10? 20 times? Errors are easy to spot now that we've seen the movie more than once.

The river scene where Edward explained to Bella how long he's been a vampire and what was it like after being bitten (this was the scene right after they got to school where he put his arm around her shoulder and said "since I'm going to hell anyway. . .") the next scene jumped to where they're sitting under the tree, Edward being wet; then jumped back to the river scene, they're no longer under the tree; Edward no longer wet. They totally screwed that up. I was like. . . What the heck? Am I just going dizzy watching Twilight for the 8th time? I played it back and boy, was I right.

I'm just looking forward to another great movie. From what I've been hearing and reading, I think it will be awesome. This movie put Rob, Kristen and Summit on the radar ,not to mention the other great actors and actresses. I am so glad it was accepted and loved so well.

Omg I noticed the different positions of Bella's breathing tubes the first freakin time I saw the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I watch it I like wanna rip them off!!!!!!!!!!! it bothers me so bad!! lol movie is still great tho...

There are two people making out on some "bridge thing" in the air leaning against the railings.. shes being mobbed and the two love birds dont seem to give a damn..lol but when the camera shows the "bridge" thing in another shot,their gone.lol just thought that was kinda odd.

Continuity is the least of their problems with Twilight.

Yeah! I wondered who or what that was looked like two people making out all right! I wondered if anyone else noticed it.

Because many of us Twilight lovers have noticed these things and point them out, a lot of fans think we're nit-picky and overly-critical, but I don't look for stuff like this when I go to a movie. Many of them hit me the 2nd time I watched the movie, some the very first time (like the tubes in the hospital and Edward's head being leaned to one side, than the other, than back again when he was feigning sleep at the hospital). Not the end of the world, but the more I watched the more stuff I saw. I didn't notice the "love birds" on the over pass or whatever it was until I got my DVD. And even though I'm saying these things I love the fact of the movie and still enjoy watching it. Mostly because of the performances and seeing something I've read become "real". The thing is, you can enjoy a movie and still see where it could have been done better. I can love the movie without loving it blindly. The actors are phenomenal in Twilight, I'm so happy they made the movie, I just think Hardwicke turned out to be a little amateurish. I was worried at first when they changed directors but now I think I'm glad they did. I may feel differently after I see New Moon, but I think and hope not.

has any 1 notive that when Bella hits Mike on the head in Gym dats there is a little girl there .. in a high school gym there? can some1 explain dat 2 me cuz i got lost!

However when I watched the special features on the DVD she child is in the rehersals too...I assumed it was meant to be the Coaches kid!

I am not that bothered by the continuity "problems" that are listed and other such (because there are more that aren't listed here). Even Rob points out a "continuity" problem as a joke in the begining of the movie (Kristen's truck in the long shot. NOTE: Kristen's not Bella's). The continuity problem that bothers me though is that Bella has a purse when she goes into the restaurant with Edward but when she goes into the Police station its not on her shoulder anymore. It always bothers me and I have to convince myself that Edward brings it with him later when he "meets up with her" later to watch her sleep. New Moon will have them too. Shooting various scenes over several days makes it unavoidable. I would think that the purse thing would be noticable to a prop person or the waredrobe people...I dunno...

i dont know if it counts as a mistake, but during the garage scene it really annoyed me that emmet kept telling jasper how to kill a vampire. jasper of all people should know how to kill a vamp! jeeez!. and then they kept repeating it!!! it just didnt make sense for them to say it out loud to each other. i guess i understand its necessary for the audience but still!

Since when is it not natural to move your head when "sleeping"? Having his head tilt to either shoulder isn't a mistake, it's just sleeping. Even though of course he isn't sleeping.

did anyone notice that when edward first jumped to the trees with bella on his back, that his shirt is being pulled up? totally a harness!!

that is totally not edward in the beginning chasing the deer, because when he goes to catch it, if you pause, you can see that his hair is totally different. it doesn't look the same at all.

it REALLY bugs me that when bella and charlie are in the diner, bella is shaking the ketchup bottle to get it to come out, but after she gets a little out, she continues to shake it, then just randomly puts it down. uhg!

also, i think it's really funny that emmett is spelled wrong in the credits. it's spelled emmet. lol.

If you watch the dvd features it shows quite clearly that its not RPattz doing the 'catch' but its supposed to look like him.

the ketchup in the diner also annoyed me. seriously...how hard is it to put some ketchup in the bottle to make it look real?

and i never watched the creadits past all the images of the actors...

Yeah thats not really Rob catching the deer in the beginning. It's a stunt double. I think they say it in the commentary on the DVD.
Also I have to agree about the ketchup one. That kinda bugged me too.

right, i remember them saying it wasn't him. i just find it funny that his stunt double didn't even look like him. cause normally in movies, they try to make them look just like the actors :)

I think the advent of DVDs has allowed many cinema-buffs to watch their favourite films over and over again and in the process we catch some mistakes. Every movie has them. It doesn't diminish the pleasure one gets from viewing the movie, in fact it adds another dimension for one to enjoy, much like watching it with the commentary on. No need to get emotional over such a lighthearted matter, like some folks here seem to be, IMHO.

What is the reason for Bella's father to give her a new can of pepper spray on prom night? How does he know she used the first one? Oh yeah, I guess you do spray pepper spray when you fall down a couple of flights of stairs and crash through a window.

While its cool to notice all these stuff...It's hard to keep such strict continuity in the movies, you know?
So I don't blame catherine for these mistakes. however, Twilight could have been better and I would blame her for that. But then again, the book and movie never match up. So I was happy with twilight the movie. But I still love the book. =)

In the scene where bella is on the phone to her mum about her first day she shuts her book twice. when she is like they were all very welcoming. and she slams her book shut and pushes it away. then when she says shes got to go she shuts it, but you dont see her do it you just hear it. it annoys me..lol
anybody else notice?

what about when she wakes up and edward is in the room and turns around to put the light on and turns back, hes gone right. the trees outside move but the yellow dangly things hanging from the window are dead still.

its cool they picked it up, but who really cares? i certainly didn't notice.

This is a bit off topic, but does anybody know how Billy became handicapped? OH...and in the movie, Billy is driving towards Bella's house and exchange a look with Edward in their vehicles...how is Billy driving when his legs are paralyzed?

I dont know if this is really a mistake, but I'm always thinking of how Edward can read minds and that makes him react differently or NOT question people. So why does he have to ask Carlisle, "what's going on?" when they get to the police station. Yeah, yeah, for Bellas benefit. But it just bugs me! He doesn't have to ask, he can already read what Carlisle's thinking! At least he was silent for the rest of the scene, like he was then getting all the info out of Carlisles head after that initial question. But that has bugged me from the get go.

Its was Catherine Hardwicke idea to make the twilight into a movie. I think the movie was budgeted. Like the Twilight cast said. They didnt expect the movie to be big. They have a bigger budget now for New Moon. I just hope that New moon is not all about special effects & it will stick to the book. The making of Golden Compass was great & The Movie critics was right when I saw the movie. Its Golden Confusion!
I really want Jacob to shine in New MOON. He's one of the best characted ever created in Twilight Saga!!!

Vampires don't sweat either. Look at the cafeteria scene where Edward says "what if i'm the bad guy".

I noticed the tubes in the hospital scene but the others are news to me.
The camera reflection in the car window is terrible! What a mistake!
It annoyed me too that Victoria was at the prom..Edward would have noticed her scent..tut tut.
Also, did anyone notice that when Edward is telling Bella about tasting human blood he is completely soaked in rain and then like two seconds later he is dried and his bouffant is all gelled up again! That makes me laugh..
I really hope there are less mistakes in New Moon...

Those are not big mistakes! Pocket is looking different, plant is not on the same spot (just an inch or two)...it sounds stupid. Who cares about the little mistakes, it's more important that the story is here.
I always think the whole saga would probably look better in our imagination, so we must understand that the film itself isn't perfect. A lot of scenes are cut that were in the book. But, it's the proccidure. Can you imagine how long would the film be if they put in all sentences from the book into it?
These mistakes are so little, that I didn't see them when I was watching "Twilight".

i guess the screenwriter is not observant enough or does not read the books as many times as we do LOL, hence, all the errors. i agree totally with at least 2 mistakes 1) edward did not smell victoria when in New Moon, he knew there was a vampire in bella's house 2) the hospital scene with windows here and windows gone is quite hilarious. i disagree with the part about edward's head shifted as it is quite normal that we do move our sleeping positions especially when we are not comfortable.

I get that movies make errors especially on a low budget but that does not mean she had to make mistakes. Errors happen you cant control, those that you can control are mistakes (at least in my opinion). The Vampires eating food at lunch, Billy driving, Edward watching in the bushes!! Those are not oopsy I made a little error . Those are HUGE mistakes because she was not following the book. Doesn't mean I wasn't entertained but when the book talks a lot about them not eating food and then in the movie there they are eating. When the book talks about Billy selling his truck because he can't drive and then there he is driving. Those things drive me crazy because it's not about time or money it's a huge mistake! Hey I still love the movie and will watch it 100 more times but I hope Chris doesn't make those HUGE mistakes!!!!!! Also, this is a discussion board that people like to express their opinion on, we are not HATERS just people who like to discuss stuff that we love!!!!!!!!!! We all love the books and movies or we would not be on this! Happy Day everyone!!!

When Bella is sitting with Edward near the lake asking his questions about his family and whether they have abilities like Edward’s mind-reading, her woolen mittens jump from her hands to her lap.
at the baseball scene if you do a slow motion and then freeze frame the part where edward and emmett collide into each other and land on the ground you can see that edward gives emmett the finger
when the guys corner bella after the book store on sum stairs in the background there is a guy with a camera

Yea I saw Edward give Emmett the finger, lol, that was funny.

Did any of you guys notice that in the forest scene where Edward shows Bella that he sparkles, he openes his shirts and stands in the sunlight, after that he goes around the trees and his shirt is magically buttoned up again?

Okay... I love twilight and none of the little mistakes bother me except when they are talking on the rocks and bella asks edward if it was other vampires that killed waylon, and he say's yes there are others out there and we run into them from time to time... it's so obviously edited in... an afterthought that really shouldn't have even been there anyway because it's not in the book... it annoys the crap out of me

I cant remember what scene it is but bella has a headband in her hair and then the next shot she doesnt have it in any more, and its definitely on the same day in the same scene

there is another bit in it aswell though, when edward saves her from being killed by the car and then she goes to hospital and carlise says' well there is no head damage' (or something like that) and going back to the crash you dont even see her hit her head.

Okay, you know at the scene where jacob tells bella about what the cullens are and then I think Eric starts chasing angela with this weird looking thing, the girl starts screaming Kristen ahhh kristen like 3 0r 4 times, i mean come on how can you miss that when you are are editing.

Ugh i re-watched Twilight and i saw the errors it makes me so mad that i never saw them before i feel like i have poor eyesight or something...and rob mentions it on the commentary...i cant believe i never pick up on it LOL

Does the jacket have to be buttoned? Really guys, I bet you can forget about a BUTTON. And plus, if it was perfect, then it wouldn't be cool. In real life, not everyone is perfect. So just get over it, ok? I don't think you want an 'all perfect movie'.
And for the window, it was a different angle.
So leave twilight alone!

Did anyone notice the little girl that ran out to get the ball after bella hits  mike's head with the ball. Or when Edward and Emett crash into each other in the baseball field Edward flips Emett off

People REALLY need to calm down about the differences between the books and the movies. There will ALWAYS and FOREVER be inconsistancies between books and movies.

As for the inconsistancies in the movie itself... the only one I really noticed was the hospital room. Edward's head changing direction. But now that I look at the photos above it really does look like a different room. I'll probably go back and watch the movie again just to apease my curiosity.

In the top photo his head is to the right and there is a window to the left, but no sign of the painting. In the bottom photo there is no window, but a painting. Huh? Could be weird camera angles... hmmmm.

there was one when bella went to the book store and had her purse i believe it was and when she got out of the car to go into the police station she never had it with her yet still had the book when she got home that night to read about the legends.. lol

I noticed that the 1st time I watched it... I asked out loud " where is her bag?"

in the hospital scene, there's a tv across from bella's bed.
if you watch that part of the movie, and look close, you can see the fight scene with edward and james in the background on the tv.
somebody told me about it and sure enough, it's true. kind of ironic, haha.

DId anyone ever notice when Bella is being almost attacked in Port Angeles that when they show a wide shot it looks like a couple are making out up on the balcony above them and in the next shot they are gone??????

also when edward was showing how he looks in the sun to bella he unbuttons his shirt (sigh) and then when he suddenly walks off its buttoned up again and his belly button is really high up lol

My only compaint is Billy driving the truck. Sure they can make a vehicle friendly to a person who is wheelchair bound, but still. I saw that and was like WTF!! Jacob was the one to drive Billy everywhere.

But I over looked it...because Billy is "down with the kids." :P

What about when they are in the garage and Edward is throwing Bella's clothes to Rosalie and than to Esme so they can trick James regarding Bellas' scent.

As he throws the clothes to Esme: He says "Here Esme" and than throws them at her the camera zooms in that direction, No Esme.

Than He says "Here Rosalie" and than throws them at her the camer zooms in that direction and there is Rosalie.

I ACTUALLY WATCHED THE MOVIE FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME LAST NIGHT AND PLAYED PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE ABOVE SCENE. ESME IS ACTUALLY IN THE SCENE. ROSALIE IS ON THE COUNTER, ALICE IS NEXT TO THE CAR AND EDWARD, IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY BEHIND CARLISLE, ESME IS BEHIND HIM AT THE BACK OF THE GARAGE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING IN A LARGE TRUNK OR SET OF DRAWERS, SHES IN LIKE BASEBALL SOCKS. WHEN SHE FINDS WHAT SHES LOOKING FOR, SHE HEADS OFF TO THE CAR IN THE DIRECTION THAT EDWARD THROWS BELLA'S JACKET OR WHATEVER IT IS AT HER. IT, SO SHE WAS THERE, : )

Thank you for backing me up TeamWolfPack! I thought I was the only one who noticed that. But does anybody know why Stephanie Meyer didn't put why Billy was in a wheelchair? I know its not a major detail but I still like to know what happened to him.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this or already mentioned it but the scene when Edward and Bella are by the water and he's like jumping off the rocks if you look at his wardrobe then the scene switches over to where they're under cover since it's raining its a different outfit! than when Edward brings Bella back to his house to meet the family he's wearing the same outfit......idk if it's me maybe it's meant to be that way since he is a vampire but still is sexy even though he wears like that jacket throughout the movie mMmm delicious hehe

Did anyone notice that in the scene after bella is washing her truck and edward is leaving, when he passes billy and jacob, billy is driving. In the book jacob is driving and lets not forget that billy use a wheelchair.

I think in general the movie was okay if you have never read the book. But that said, the movie did no justice to the book. I watched the movie with my husband and afterwards asked him what he thought (btw, i dragged him to see the movie, he didnt go by choice, lol)? He said other than it being a chick flick, the movie was very choppy; it felt like it was thrown together by amateurs. And I TOTALLY agree with him.

I know I am over analyzing the movie, and I am not a teenager. But if they had just followed the events of the book rather than make things up, the movie could have been a 100 times better!

I am really hoping that they make the next movies better otherwise, they should just drop the movies. I hope Stephenie will stand up for her books and not let them get butchered this way. :-)

Has anyone else noticed the little girl in the gym scene where Bella meets Mike for the first time. She runs in to get the volleyball right behind him after he gets hit in the head. She looks like she's about 8-10 years old. Probably one of the daughters of the film crew. Check it out! :)

Someone else pointed something out to me and I went right to the DVD player and checked it out... When Edward and Emmitt collide playing baseball and they fall to the ground, Rob gives Kellan the finger just before they both get back up. Go look! Play it frame by frame and you can't miss it... Too funny. I'm surprised they used that cut for the film. I'm sure they must have done a few takes... I missed it myself because I was always staring at Robs beautiful face...Hello?????

Did anyone notice that when Bella was in the diner with her dad and they reach for the ketchup, she never actually uses it? She only shakes it around! That is hilarious to me!

Yeah, I definitely noticed that one. They could have handled that a little bit better. If they weren't planning on actually putting any ketchup in the prop, they shouldn't have had a close-up on her and the bottle!

I'm telling you, I would make so much damn money while at the same time aggravating people to death if I were a continuity director. I am such a stickler when it comes to attention to detail, I would make sure that everything was exactly the same through every shot, much to the chagrin of the director and financial backers, I'm sure!

did anyone notice th scene were they're in Edwards bedroom? first the door is open then its closed then its open and then its closed! and the volume changes!

I found another blooper I had to point out even tho this article is like 5 days old.

When Edward and Bella are in the woods, after the whole "I know what you are" scene and they go up the hill.. right before he shows her what he looks like in the sunlight.

Edwards and Bells are facing eachother and his lips are moving, but there is no sound!!

I only noticed it after like my 10th time watching because I think the way the scene is shot you're looking at Bella's face to see her reaction to him.

Also, did anyone else notice, during the baseball scene when Edward and Bella are pulling up in the jeep the grass looks totally fake? Its like wet, cut, green grass just poured on the ground.

I think I only noticed because I was close to my tv screen! I was like hmm.. that doesnt look right..

I love Twilight and know no movie is flawless but picking our these 'Easter Eggs' is kind of fun!! Its nice to have a place to discuss things that you're not sure if any one else noticed!

Okay not everyone read the book. yes edward can read minds and he could smell victoria but they needed to remind the audience that she was not gone so they made sure they showed her at the end knowing bella and edward made it out okay and as far as the other mistakes is in the movie every movie has them. How can you be expected to edit hours and hours of tape and not make a mistake.

That's only coz catherine hardwicke is a p.o.s. director and melissa rosenberg absolutely BUTCHERED the series. she should be sacked, she ruined the whole thing and so did hardwicke. I hope chris weitz does a better job with the sh** he's been given coz he can't change much now coz the idiots that ruined the first one screwed up everything for the following movies.

There are SO many comments and I scanned to see if anyone mentioned this but couldn't find it so if this is already been mentioned, don't bite my head off.

In the hospital when Bella is waking up and her mom is there by her bedside, Edward is on a couch thing or whatever and behind Renee is a TV because, like most hospital rooms, Bella's has a tv. BUT!!!! Look at what is ON the tv: none other than Bella's ballet tape James was playing in the studio! I had to check twice but it's true. It's a little hard to see what with Renee's head in the way but check it out. I wonder why they did that? It's always bugged me but eh...
