NMM.org reader Abbey shares her story of meeting Kellan Lutz and seeing Edi Gathegi just a bit ago at a Twilight DVD release autograph session in the small town of Geelong, on the Southeastern Coast of Australia. Here’s Abbey’s experience–
So… we started the day at 6am to line up. We were the 2nd group there, so excited. We had a long wait of 8.5 hours before they arrived. It was 13C (55F) raining and super windy. The guys arrived 30mins early and were really nice. Kellan had a big chat with me and my sister saying how much he loved Australia but wished he had more time to see our county and said that he liked my necklace (I dont think i will take it off.) They personalised my pics for me (Kellan wrote Abbey I <3 U Kellan!!!) and in the end it was worth the 8 hour wait and the cold that i am sure to have for the next week!
ET had the third day of exclusive New Moon coverage from the set in Vancouver tonight. The stuff they covered was actually pretty awesome compared to the last two nights, with more than 15 minutes of total running time! Check out these videos of Parts 1-3 from Saturday night, plus a “How to Dress Like a Cullen” special. We’ll try to get some better quality vids to put up soon! UPDATE: We’ve added higher quality footage in one full 20 minute long video.
Looks like New Moon star Kellan Lutz is living it up while he’s in Australia for the Twilight DVD release press tour. He was spotted at The Club in Sydney attending a birthday party for Dave Simon, the bassist of the band Violet. He was cozying up with twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso of the Veronicas as well as Laura Dundovic, who is Miss Universe Australia 2008. What a baller!
New Moon baddie Rachelle LeFevre will show off her acting chops in a a film on the Lifetime Movie Network that is set to premiere on Sunday, May 17th. In it, she finds a picture of a missing child that looks a lot like herself, only to discover that it is actually her and she was stolen from her biological parents early in life. Here’s the official synopsis–
Young college graduate Ellie Carter seems to have it all; a good home, a solid education and two parents that love her dearly. But when she sees a picture on a milk carton of a missing child that looks disconcertingly like herself, she discovers a terrifying truth about her past. And as the mystery reveals itself, Ellie realizes that the more she knows, the more likely she is to wind up dead. A twisting thriller of political intrigue and psychological suspense, Do You Know Me is well worth knowing.
You can check out the a clip from the movie over at the studio’s website. You can also sign up for an email alert to be reminded at the LMN website.
Check out this New Moon trailer by YouTube user AngryChkProductions. I think she did a great job with it–I like the little glimpse of Dakota Fanning at the end! What do you think? As Howdy25 pointed out, it makes a nice counter to the gruesome Ashley Greene horror movie trailer we saw previously!
WARNING: Fairly harsh language/violence/adult scenes in the trailer below!
Ashley Greene has a new horror/thriller movie coming out called Summer’s Blood. It’s described as a “twisted family thriller” in the style of Misery and Silence of the Lambs. Here’s the official description:
Hardened teenager SUMMER (Ashley Greene, TWILIGHT) is on the road looking to meet her estranged father. Her only clue to his whereabouts is a letter from a rural community called Massey.
Once she arrives in town Summer is rescued from a run-in with the law by a charming local handyman named TOM HOXEY (Peter Mooney, TV’s FALCON BEACH). The couple quickly hit it off and head back to the house Tom shares with his mother GAIA (Barbara Niven, DEAD AT 17)–a woman who also happens to be his lover!
Knocked unconscious by the demented couple, Summer is bound with chains inside a box filled with dirt. Surrounded by lush plants, grow lights, human skulls and a girl on the verge of death named AMBER (Dani Kind), Summer is the latest flower in Tom’s “Human Garden”.
Realizing that her only chance for escape is to manipulate Tom, Summer begins an unusual relationship with the troubled young man. Anxious about the return of his own father GANT (Stephen McHattie WATCHMEN), a serial killer who moonlights as a traveling salesman—and dealing with the rising suspicions of Amber’s father DARWIN (Peter Dillon, THE BONE COLLECTOR), Tom finds himself drawn closer to Summer than he ever imagined.
Total Films interviewer Chris Hicks had the chance to take Robert Pattinson out for dinner and chatted over wine. Lucky Bastard. He talks a bit about New Moon–
Edward and Bella’s reunion in New Moon is good. It’s different from the book so I think people will be happy.
This movie will have a very different mood. In visual terms it’s going to be so different from Twilight. It’s also a lot scarier. Chris [Weitz, New Moon director] is very willing to go down that route.
Kellan Lutz has another interview from his current Australian press tour for the release of the Twilight DVD there. He talks about how dedicated fans are–and how he gets sexytime pictures from them:
“And, bless their hearts, they come in these big groups and battle to give us the best presents, (like) candy, picture frames, flowers, baskets of stuff.”
But it’s not like the 24-year-old hasn’t been bombarded by female fans, with some sending “scandalous” pictures and even attempting to chain themselves to his arm.
“They will come up and be like, I’m going to hand-cuff you,” he said.
“Now that is not they way you are meant to do it – you’ve gotta just throw them on and lock ‘em in.”
Well, thanks Kellan–that’s great advice. Check out the rest of the interview at News.Com.Au.
GIl Birmingham, who plays Billy Black–the father of Jacob Black–in New Moon has updated his blog with some news that he’s arrived at the set in Vancouver. He also mentions a convention in England he’ll be appearing at–
I’ve just signed on to appear at the Eternal Twilight 2-New Moon Rising Convention in Northampton, England, October 16-18, 2009. The event is being held at the Park Inn Hotel. I look forward to being able to meet many of my European fans while I am there. I just arrived in Vancouver today to complete filming for New Moon. It’s great to be back on the set with the cast and running with the wolves again. Hope to have more news when I return.
Here’s the official version of the ET Online coverage from Day 2, where we get five “secrets” from Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. It seems to me that posting online videos is the perfect opportunity to take those 2 minutes of coverage from TV we’re getting each day and stretch it, uncut and unedited without the low-attention-span editing, into 15 or 20 minutes. What do you guys think, would you watch an uncut version of the interviews?
I think it would turn those 2 million website views they’re so proud of into quite a bit more.
