i know i would sit through a 3 hourl ong movie if not longer with the whole cast as long as they sticked to the book..how about you?? answer back to this!! with your opinions

I would sit through a longer movie, with no fight at all. The only thing I think they'r worried about is the audience who have not read the books, ya know? And I think they're concerned about making it boring. A lot of people found New Moon dragged out a lot. I personally, think it's the best of the series. So they're more concerned about making it watchable for the people outside of the Twi-Verse. Although, I think critics might take it easier on the movie, if it stuck more to the book, and made a little more sense. Almost like it wasn't rushed like Twilight was.

I agree with you 100%. I would gladly sit through a longer movie, but thats probably because New Moon was my favourite of the saga also. The critics have to keep in mind that a lot of Twilight fans haven't all read the books, so they need to keep it interesting to every one.

I agree whole heartedly. I was sort of disappointed with Twilight only because it did sway away from the book. I would have gladly sat through 3,4 even 5 hrs of film if it had followed the book to the letter. I only hope they do that with the next 3 books.

If they didn't start with a three hour movie they probably won't make New Moon a three hour movie. These are screen adaptations not miniseries. Appreciate them for what they are, a cinematic glimpse of the books we love.

Absolutely. Witout question. It would be different with a movie that didn't start out as an extremely popular book; I saw an iternview with the Director of Twilight and she said people told her Edward and Bella fell in love too fast in the movie. Yes, because there was NOT enought character development.Or, as Michael Moore did with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, put the deleted scenes back in where they belong for the DVD. As I watched deleted schene section on the Twilight DVD, I just kept shaking my head because they added so much more depth to the movie.

Well considering that I've sat for hours and hours and hours at a time to read the books, one after the other since when I read them I still can't stop till they are ALL done, I'd have no problem wwatching an extra long movie.

sure would sit through a longer movie. I think they should have keept a lot of the parts they cut out of the first movie and it sure needed to be longer to allow for the charachters to develop more. Good thing I read the books first. I hope they make the rest of the movies as long as need be to cover not only the books well but to allow for the time needed to see the emotional transition in each role. Many great movies have been long movies, in fact It was a let down for me that Twilight was so short, it jumped way too fast and it left out some key elements as well as I did not see or feel any passion from Bella. You could see the torment and emotional conflict in Edwards face and eyes but I saw nothing of that from Bella, not love, conflict, etc.

I happily and eagerly sat through all 3 hour plus versions of LOTR Trilogy - the last being 4.5 hours. I was not alone...the theaters were packed as I am sure they would be with these movies. Especially Eclipse and BD if they decide to make it. They need to do a little more detail.

My husband, who did not read the book, was a little confused at first with Twilight. They should have extended some of the scenes and added a few. I don't think anyone would mind 3 hour movies here.

i think any and every TWILIGHT, NEW MOON, ECLIPSE AND BREAKING DAWN FAN, needs to get together and make it a point that the movies should be longer we have no problem sitting there for hours (i would do anything miss school, work i would clear my day to watch and 8 hour movie) as long as it is like the book)!!!

You've got to remember that it isn't a problem with people sitting in the theater for a 3 hour movie, it's budgets. 80% of the actors in New Moon have other films they're finishing currently or beginning this summer. It would COST more to make the films longer, which is a major reason why they aren't going to be longer.

Unless all us fans rallying together are willing to donate money to help pay for budget costs? (I'll be the first to vote no).

Ya know, the one complaint my husband had about the movie was the vampire MAKE UP!!! Yep. I honestly think they are going to do a bit of condensing and re-writing around the Birthday/breakup scene. Just my opinion. I kinda think they will have wonderful Charlie give her the camera on her B-day morning before school...have her bring it to school and then go to the birthday party that night..follow directly with the break up scene. I hope they keep the line when she asks Edward if he will disappear if she takes a picture of him. Maybe that is what they are both laughing at.

Yeah maybe they are keeping that part the same! they need to squeeze Edward in there as much as possible. I think what they are cutting out the most is probably some of her "boring" time w/ Jake ... building the bikes, etc. Not that I thought it was boring, just that they know there is just soo much to fill in there. And thats what scares me, a lot of the Jake/Bella time will be cut back.

Totally agree with you, they can run stories into each other but still keep the essential story. I just reread new moon for the third time and I think the only part they can shorten is some of the Jacob stuff without affecting the story too much. The beginning of the book needs to be all there, don't forget watching Romeo and Juliet, that's when Edward tells Bella about the Volturi and that he would have gone to them if James had killed her. That has to be in because thats why Bella was so scared when Alice told her Edward had gone to Italy, Bella immediately knew why. Also I want to hear Edward reciting Romeo's lines!

I think the digital camera is a good idea, Bella will go to check on it and find out Edward has taken the memory card before she got chance to upload them. This makes it all more instant so they can shorten the time frame to how it worked in the book.

don't forget about the i-pod too, she had a cd player in the book. But it would have been weird in this year to have a cd player instead of an ipod or the antique computer or no cell phone.But they kept the antique truck

Remember that Stephenie is like me - an adult. Neither of us grew up with the internet or digital cameras or mobile phones or i-pods. (I'm younger than Stephenie, but I didn't get the internet until after I finished high school, and got my first phone years after that. I got a digital camera last year, and still don't have an i-pod or anything like that!!)

It makes sense to have updated technology in the movies - us 'oldies' aren't up to date with teenagers today, but that doesn't mean the movie characters have to be living in the 90s!!

I wonder what scene they are filming? I know people are saying it is after Bella gets the camera for her birthday, but I feel like after the birthday stuff, Edward and Bella aren't happy- the book becomes very depressing. But maybe they aren't actually filming in these scenes, maybe Kristen and Rob are just smiling on a break between scenes?

Totally. I feel like the only time they are that happy in the book is the very beginning, and at the very end, but never when she has the camera. Only in a couple pictures did it actually look like cameras were rolling. There are a couple pictures where Kristen is looking up at Rob with a very very intense look that TOTALLY fits with the book. But the ones where they are laughing...hopefully it's just Kristen and Rob getting along really well, and not Edward and Bella, unless someone can clarify what scene this could be.

Yes, she takes Edwards picture at her house before they leave for her party at his house. She asks him about the film before they arrive at his house and hes still laughing when they arrive at his door. And Charlie takes one of Edward and Bella together the next day after she comes home from work and finds Edward watching ESPN with Charlie.

If it's the scene for/around Bella's birthday that's in September, so it's supposed to be warmer. I'll bet Rob's freezing his cute buns off not wearing that much!!

Hi everybody! Check out Imdb, they have updated the their list of the cast for New Moon. It says that Justine Wachsberger will play Gianna. It also says that Chaske Spencer (the rumored Sam) will play someone named Lakota. I don't remember any "Lakota".... do you?

Tia someone messed up the names and put the name of their Native American background in there instead of the character names. There is no Lakota character. If you google it you will see what it is, but def not a character in the books. They really need to hurry up and change that because they are confusing some people big time. They better hurry up and correct my wolf pack properly, lol!

rob makes me melt. it's so much more beyond just edward cullen. he's just amazing is so many ways. I saw his potential ever since his breakthrough in harry potter and the goblet of fire. not only is he drop dead gorgeous, but he's a versatile actor who is not afraid of whatever challenge that hingers him. his acting in the upcoming Little Ashes will certainly bring justice to his versatility. i know many fans (mostly women) will probably be disappointed with the whole gay concept surrounding Little Ashes, but I cannot wait to see the way he'll portray art through his acting. Now... back to New Moon related topic... he is SO rocking the new vamp look! i'll be sad that there won't be much of him in New Moon, but he's still a huge part of the plot and the story. There is no twilight saga without edward cullen. =D xoxox

I will miss the cullens in this one. I was so excited when I saw Ashley Greene at the Cafeteria set, I was looking around for Jackson but then I remembered the older kids had graduated by that time so he wasn't there. The must be getting ready to film the birthday party scene because the cullens are starting to arrive back in vancouver. I'm hoping for a airport meet and greet when I leave in 2 weeks! They have to go to Italy! At least my three faves do.

I'm 38 and luckily my husband has been so patient in regards to my Twilight obsession. And my Rob obsession, for that matter! Although, he too, thinks I'm crazy! But he has been really good about...he never gets mad at me! As a matter of fact, at christmas, he bought me all 4 books and some twilight tees! After I got the DVD....he wanted to watch it with me and he actually liked it!!! So, I've been pretty lucky!!!

But I admit, he doesn't know that I comment on this website...cause I think he would definitely commit me if he did! But, he can't complain....he definitely benefits from my Robsession ! *wink, wink*

When I watched the movie, I thought their chemistry was ok, however, when I watched their interviews and saw the photos from premieres i just went wowwwoooooooowwwww what is going on?!! They are really soulmates, I do hope the studio, paps and all this crazyness DO NOT screw their relationship, but leave them alone enjoying their love, privacy and their lives, and it is incredible how R Pattz makes KStew glow and have sparkling eyes! I think he is bringing maturity and gracefuness to her life in the long run...I also wish them all the best!

i think they are gonna spend more time focusing on keeping the connection between edward and bella strong, as opposed to building up bella and jacob's relatonship like the book...i mean, for people that haven't read the books, they are gonna be really pissed if they go to see new moon and edward just up and leaves, is gone for the whole movie, and shows back up in the last few minutes...they have to make it seem like bella is still soooo attached to him and jake is just a distraction, then in eclipse they can show how attached to jake bella really became during those months...make sense? lol i guess that was kinda confusing...

kristen is so pretty with her hair..so jealous of here..

omg this is getting on my nerves. robert needs to really shave and fix his hair. i would rather think of edward, they don't even look like the same person. does anyone else agree that rob as edward is hot but in real life not?

Oh no, I can't agree with Alex about Rob. That man is real friends with the camera. He looks so good in any shot. He's hot as Edward or Rob. Just two different looks.Both hot to touch. He's got the eyes in both that melt you. I love his messy look ,too.

I have never seen Kristen smile that widely and genuinely as in the bottom right picture. She looks adorable.

ummm, I have sat through 3 hrs+ for crap like "dances with wolves" etc. sooooo...for one of these...new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn...time is definately NOT of the essence...4hrs/6hrs/8hrs...keep me as long as you want...reality is not nearly as gratifying or entertaining....please, todays world is so depressing foreclosures, murders, people on rampage shootings, rising taxes, job losses, companies going out of business...ugh..STEPHANIE MEYER take me AWAY!!!!! =)

The longer the movie, the more they can take in from the book :D. And I do hpe so that they will stick to the book as much as possible, they can´t take the whole book (I think that´s sad :`( ), but they can try to :D

I would soooooo sit thur 5 or even more hours of new moon i just can't wait until the movie!!! How long is the New Moon movie going to be? it best be long! If it's anything under 90mins it's going to be a little disapointing, I have been waiting for this for ages!!! :)
