hey does anyone know why they built an entirely new house? Why didnt they just use the one in Twilight?
This looks exactly the same anyways.. so whats the point?

THE DRIVEWAY IN THE NEW REPLICATION IS THE EXACT SAME AS IT WAS IN TWILIGHT-- IF YOU WATCH THE DVD (WHEN BELLA SLIPS ON THE ICE) YOU CAN SEE THAT THE DRIVEWAY ACTUALLY DOES SLOPE-- they did an amazing job with the replication :)

I don't remember the staircase being to the left of the front door. I thought it was straight ahead. Wasn't Chief Sawn standing to the left of the door when Bella came down the stairs to go to the prom?

I'm pretty sure the house in the book doesn't have a garage, but I hope that the cupboards, at least, are yellow. It's a good thing they have that large new budget. It can't be cheep to build a house from the ground up. I wonder if they can sell it when the movie is finished, or whether it's not livable because of all the special camera access things they had to do. It's pretty cute. If they do sell it, I would live there.

Wow, as long as they got the house pretty much right, then I'm fine. Little things like the driveway, trees bushes etc... I don't care. They're doing great and the Cullen house it pretty cool. It's pretty much the same but...whatever.

the outside hard floor near the bushes is different it was uneven dark cement I remember from Twilight where Bella slip and fell. I think it looks too Perfect and New sometimes they try too hard that they get it wrong. I think they should add some oldness to it to look beated eh but whatever is a house actually i'm more interested in Jacob's house

I got curious when everyone was talking about the drop-down garage, so I watched it on the DVD and you can see when Charlie comes back with Bella's truck in the beginning of the movie (after having changed the tires on it) that there actually is a drop down garange, you just don't see it that much. So the house they've biult looks pretty mich identical to the one used in Twilight =)

They did a good job...the house really looks similar, but the tree and the paved driveway don't. When Bella first arrived with her dad, didn't they park on muddy grass, not pavement? Wonder if they're going to cg in stuff to match the Twilight version?

Same thing on the new Cullen house and Forks High...will they expect us not to notice the differences or will they use cg to make them identical? Filmaking is crazy...I can't believe it's cheaper to rebuild or spend umpteen thousands on special effects than to just film a few scenes at the original locations!

Oh well, I guess we'll see...but I'd really hate to be taken out of a scene because I'm thinking, wow that looks different! :o)

I don't really understand why they're going to all this trouble to perfectly replicate sets from Twilight that they need for New Moon. I know they're shooting in Vancouver, but it seems easier to just go back to Oregon or Washington to the original Swan house instead of building one from scratch and trying to make it look exactly the same. The same goes for trying to replicate Forks High School. Filmmakers are so strange :)

yeah the house for the first movie is like a rent as you go house. i know someone who went there to see the house and take a picture of it and they had a sign in the front saying....twilight filmed here please do not come on property but feel free to take pictures from the road. that was nice that they would let fans do that i think :) i wonder if this one will turn into the same way or if summit will keep ownership of it until they are done doing all the movies. it would make sense to do that i think.

FILMING on Twilight sequel New Moon has reportedly been halted after author STEPHENIE MEYER was hit with claims of plagiarism.

The eagerly awaited teen Vampire follow up, starring ROBERT PATTINSON, was being shot in Canada but is now in jeopardy.


But the writer of the popular book series on which it is based has now been hit with a law suit from a former college roommate.


According to a US website HEIDI STANTON is claiming that the idea came from a short story she wrote while studying alongside Meyer at Brigham Young University in Utah.


In the papers, lodged on Tuesday, she said, “Quite frankly, I was shocked when I began watching the movie with my husband last week.


“I immediately told him that she got that idea from me! I wrote a fictional short story with the same ideas when we were in college together.”


The bestselling author of the series has always claimed the idea came to her in a dream.



Production on New Moon, which was due for release later this year, has now been put on hold until the lawsuit is resolved.

Yes, the driveway is different. In the Twilight movie, there wasn't a dropdown garage, but this one has that.

ok, so i decided to watch twilght just now, and im up to the part where she slips and falls, when charlie brings her the truck back, and at the moment where he helps her up, i totally notice there is a drop down garage that u cant see at all, but i caught a glimps of it thru the bushes.........so all in all the house is perfect
