Breaking Dawn: Will the 4th Twilight Book be a Movie?

in Twilight

200904141052.jpgThere hasn’t been official word yet on whether Breaking Dawn will be a movie. Though we’d undoubtedly all like to see it made, the Twilight Examiner takes a look at some of the difficulties that may arise in making it happen (warning: spoiilers ahead)–

We also know that Summit Entertainment has taken The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as an “optioned property,” which, basically, means that they have the choice whether to make the film or not – and they haven’t decided at this point. We also know that Robert Pattinson was quoted to say on the Red Carpet of the Oscar’s this March that Breaking Dawn would, indeed, be made as well (video below – saying “and Breaking Dawn’s gonna be done at some point as well, so yeah…”).

Rumor had it that the issue was with the character Renesmee and the impossibility of casting a baby with a full set of teeth who continues to grow at rapid and inexplicable speed, talks (when she actually speaks) like a mature adult of wisened years, and who can do spectacular things physically (such as, for instance, jump eight feet in the air to catch a snowflake).

200904141054.jpg Another possible issue? That the movie would be too long to properly capture the spirit of the book. Then there’s the whole issue of whether it would be R-rated (spoilers)–

“When she gives birth, Edward rips open Bella’s stomach with his teeth to get the baby out.

It’s a bloody and gruesome birth. And what does the little bugger do once she’s out? Sinks her half-vampire teeth into mom’s chest, that’s what. What follows is an equally bloody and gruesome transformation of our teenage heroine into a vampire. How any of the birth scene gets magically transformed into a PG-13 moment is anyone’s guess.”

As an odd addendum, Fox News is reporting that “Noot Seear has just signed a very appetizing deal to appear in the next three “Twilight” installments”. Huh? As far as I can recall, Heidi isn’t even in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!

If they have to make it two movies, then they should do it. Just as long as it is made and stays fairly true to the book. I would rather them not tone down the violence and sex just because a lot of young people enjoy it. If that's what's in the books, then that's what should be in the movie and if people don't like it, then why did they like the books. I hate gore, but it's necessary in this movie.

IT HAS TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE! Who cares if its 3 hrs long! Look how much they condensed Twilight! It will take a very skilled screen writer but it can be done. All the fans NEED to see this film. Its my favorite book, and its the movie I am anticipating the most!! It SHOULD have an R rating to make it as true to the book as posssible. But as in the book, they never talk about details of them having sex, so I wonder if they will do that in the movie as well...I wish we would get word soon on the future of this moive.
  • stehfuhknee_hale
In all honesty, I really wouldn't care if they made BD a million hour movie. Hell, I'd watch it anyways. Look at Titanic or King Kong! They NEED to make this movie. If it needs to be rated R than so be it! The producers really need to worry about maintaining the integrity of the book rather than trying to cater to the sheilding minds of prepubescent teens.
  • I agree completely Chelsy, I don't care how long the movie is, what it's rating is, or even if they have to split it into 2 movies. I DON'T CARE! JUST PLEASE MAKE BREAKING DAWN!! It would be utterly incomplete without it & I'd be devastated.
  • its the movie i'm most anticipating too! i agree with you 100% it shouldn't have to have the pg-13 rating of twilight, rate it R if needed!!
  • Chrystina
I think it is important to point out that Stephenie is LDS (mormon) and mormons do not watch rated R movies... I know that Summit has it in contract with Stephenie that the movies will be PG-13... you would be surprised what they can show in a PG-13 movie.... I think they can pull it off.
  • Denise
I so agree ,it MUST be nade. Two movies or one the story must be told. It is such an amazing ending to the saga, not to bring ti to the screen would be horrifying. In this day and age of special effects there should be no problem. if it has to ahve an R rating so be iti!
  • kchurch
I'm pretty sure that almost everyone will be pissed if it's not made into a movie lol. .
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
BD could be easily divided into two movies - the 2nd could start with Bella's transformation :) I can't wait to see KStew as a vampire! with her type of features, she would be perfect! :)
  • Claire Danvers_Morganville
joanna86 I thought that if they made two movies the natural break would be Bella's transformation too. Can you imagine the first movie ending with Renesmee's birth and Edward desperately trying to save Bella, you would go crazy if you had to wait ages for the second part.

But I'm just reading Breaking Dawn again (3rd time) and I'm not sure if there is enough in either part to make two complete movies. They just need to make BD as long as is needed. It will be difficult to make though, but I'm sure that theres not a chance that the studio won't make it, they know it will be a big pay day for them.
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
IMO if they stick closely to the book, there's enough action to make two movies :)

However, you're right about the 'going crazy' part, I haven't thought about it. The possible resolution could be making both parts at the same time -the break wouldn't be longer than a few months then :)
Besides, I think that by then most of the audience would be familiar with BD (the book) so they wouldn't be THAT anxious, knowing how it will all end ;)
  • HeatherEl
I think they could make the second part of BD longer by adding in like a 'Renesmee in the future' just to show how she is getting on with Jacob, going to school etc. idk, i just ALWAYS imagined them doing that!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
I'd rather Stephenie included all this in a book first :)
  • HeatherEl
she always said there was a possiblity she would do a future book on renesmee...maybe by then it will be out! Fingers crossed! I NEED more!!!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
true, I read an interview where she hinted that the next book (IF she writes it of course) might be from Renesmee's perspective :)
  • HeatherEl
yeah, thats what i meant. And she said she would do it AFTER the movies i rememeber reading somewhere, but if the movies end up taking a long time then she could write it early...

And also i read on the MTV website the other day that she couldnt pick up the NKCA because she was writing another book....does anyone know which book? or is it supposed to be on the 'down low' and MTV slipped up? It would be good if that was the case!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
maybe she's finishing MS... yes please please please!!! :)
  • Meg
Yikes, I tell you. It's not just Edward saving her! If Jacob wasn't there, Bella would probably be dead before Nessie was "born." Oh man, would I be pissed if they made the 4th movie and Jacob wasn't there for the birth. Is it just me, or does anyone else appreciate the poignancy of both men who love her being there to keep her alive and deliver Nessie? (granted, jacob doesn't care at the time about nessie but he does about bella)

Sorry, didn't mean to rant. heh. I just always liked they were both there.

Anyway, I also hope they make the 4th movie, but I have reservations about how they would handle renesmee. I don't know much about babies, but if there were a least some front teeth in, they wouldn't have to show if it has all its teeth or not. They could probably get a young child without too much difficulty that's able to talk and seem a little wiser than its years. I'm surprised sometimes by babies/children in movies how well they can do. Don't want to screw it up with TOO much CGI, though. I like it to look realistic.

As for the rating.. make it R if they have to. It's not geared toward kids anyway, and if they want to see it, they can get their parents' permission. They could easily do a PG-13, though. The sex scenes aren't described in much detail anyway, they can do the same in the movie. Same with the birth scene. They can have blood, but they don't have to SHOW Edward biting through - they can show from the back what he's doing. They can keep Kristen covered up, though she's half-naked in the book.

Only thing is the length. They'd have to work hard to make it follow the book, but keep it within its time constraints. They can pull it off - if they pass up the chance to make the 4th a movie, they're pretty darn stupid.

Here here CarmenUK, I was thinking of the same area for the break. Honestly, the first thing that popped into my head when I first heard someone suggest splitting the movie in two was how Kill Bill was split (I know, nothing in common but my mind is all over the place sometimes). Kill Bill was a to be continued and I thought it was smart that they did it that way instead of sacrificing the story to cram everything into one sitting. I would love to have more to look forward to and, judging by the way everything Twilight has been marketed, it seems like making Breaking Dawn into two money making beasts would suit Summit fine.

As for the ratings/gore/sex issue? I say go for it and keep it true to the book. I don't want to see a watered down version because producers think they need to keep things mild for a younger audience. If someone is too young then they are too young. I would rather have my daughter mature before seeing it than have a PG-13 version come out just so see can see it right away.
  • FranCullen
Well... Harry Potter's last movie will be divided in two parts. So it's not imposible!
  • Alice USA
well, i dont think Kristen Stewart will b vamp. Bella. shes supposed 2 look toatally different!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
and I can totally see her as a vampire - just compare Kristen as Bella in 'Twilight' to Kristen's pics from all the professional photoshoots :)
  • i can too, they make her absolutely gorgeous in those shoots!! i think thats why they made her look as plain as possible in twilight, not just cause bella is, but just in case they do make bd into a movie it'll make it all the easier to "transform" her later
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
couldn't agree with you more :)
  • Alice USA
ur r totally rite!!! but, like in the book, the sex part isnt n a lot of detail. they dont have to show them in the bed doind stuff. just them talking about it and then the swim. then they can jump 2 the next mourning. it better not b R!!! i wudn't b able 2 c it!!
  • DxOxDBLxT
I saw a video of Stephenie Meyer talking about making the film breaking dawn and she said that it would be two films because there's so much content. She also said it might not be possible because of Renesmee and CG I hasn't come far enough to create the character and have her look real. Personally, i think they would be dumb not to make the movie. It's guaranteed to make a fortune but at the same time if it's going to disappoint the fans because the technology isn't there to make it look real then it might just be a waste of time. I really don't think they will make it R because of the audience that it has, it will be interesting to see what they will have to cut to keep it PG-13
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
nobody really believed that LOTR the book could be successfully transformed into a movie (cause of the technology needed), but it turned out great :)
I'm positive that it will be the same way with BD.... if they try really hard. Besides, it'll be 2012 or so before they even start filming :)
  • DxOxDBLxT
I hope so. I would be pretty upset if it never happened
  • mammamya
i totally agree if people sat there and read the whole book im pretty sure they'll sit through the movie, and i wouldnt be able to wait for a pt 2 idk.

however i felt liek twilight was condensed in the movie, esp the scene w. the meadow
so they can condense the movie, maybe they dont have to show the whole dynamics of the birth and wth with the baby! theres enough technology these days to make it possible, theres a commercial of talking baby on a blackberry, please!
  • CB2
i agree with you. technology is good enough to make renessmee. they make characters in movies that are total or partial cgi all the time.
  • Elloo
They really really have to make Breaking Dawn into a movie. If they make Eclipse, it will be a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE cliff hanger. I would love to see it in a movie, but I understand the HUGE issues. I really would not like the birth seen to be really visual, because I had a hard time READING it..it would be horrible on film! Maybe there is some way they can do it..like have it in Bella's perspective, and have a black out..then maybe it could be explained when she is in the hospital. Idk, that might work, but it might be confusing. Also, Renesmee will be pretty hard. But if you could find like 3 kids that look similar, it might work. Also, it would be pretty easy for the special effects to show Renesmee jumping..just like they did with Edward in Twilight. And seriously, they shouldn't condense it because it would lose the whole book really, and would be a bad movie. I personally wouldn't mind at all watching a 3 hour movie! Good for me, and for almost every other Twilight fan! Overall, I think they should make it!
  • Sarah
Breaking Dawn left us with the cliffhanger of Renesmee and Jacob's future. How would that be any different than the way Eclipse ends? Either way, all of the fans are left wanting more.

As much as I love reading all of the books, Breaking Dawn is the least movie-adaptable. It's not just the horrors of Bella's distorted pregnant body and the bloody birth, the book is slow and lacks a climactic fight scene. The battle at the end is just conversation and Bella's struggle with her shield. How can that be shown to an audience who might not have read the books?

All of us will pay to see any movie from the saga, but I don't think Breaking Dawn will make a good movie. I'd rather that Stephenie Meyer put her effort into writing more books than overseeing the movie adaptations.
  • vikinglover76
I think you are underestimating the potential Breaking Dawn has to be a really great film. Yes, it would be difficult to make but it isn't impossible. The shield could be done via computer just like much of the background for scenes in Twilight were done. Stephenie has said several times she always saw these books being brought to the big screen, and while I would love to have more of her works to read . . . . I cannot imagine her being happy if the movies ended at Eclipse. BD was a major accomplishment for her . . . and it is what the first 3 books are all about - Bella's journey to becoming a vampire and reconciling her relationships with Edward and Jacob.

i can think the same, i don't care make two movies of it, they can do it with eclipse too, who cares. I like HP saga and the last book was split into 2 movies, as long as they keep everything. I could watch a 4 hours movie too, titanic is my favorite movie. But i see why they don't want to R rated it, is for the money, if they do it less young girls won't go and let's face it, there are a lot of teenagers twilighters and they just care for the money. But they have to do it, it is like begin something and not finished it. I would be pissed.
  • jenn
i think that the movie should be made if not there is going to be alot of fan base pissed off.... they should stay close to the book because that was the it was intened and if they change again alot of pissed off people... i agree taht if it has to be 2 movies then so be it and if it has to be rated r then so be it
  • TwilightLover_Edward&Bella
yeah i wanna see the violonce and the sex as well as any other person i love this book it has to become a movie!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Sarah
I would be pretty sure that Stephanie would never let the movie be rated-R. Mormon's are strongly discouraged from seeing R-rated movies. Most of us don't go to them at all. I know that she was very careful in the book not to have sex scenes and things as such. Bella and Edward got married, before anything more then kissing ever happened. This makes it an enjoyable book for all to read and you can fill in the other parts with your own imagination. I hope that she hold her moral ground, as it is not just young people who do not appreciate movies with explicate sex.
  • Nona
i think they should make the movie but in 2 or even 3 parts...its represented from 3 points of view...and the baby....they need much time to do it and to make the effects...(sorry for my English)
  • Phishy-Chan
Agreed. It's like with Harry Potter (I know, how dare I mention it, but I'd choose the twilight series over HP anyday...most of the time.). The director, David Yates, has completely destroyed the HP series. Not one scene is isn't in shatters. And, and I agree with him on this one, split the last book into two movies. I don't care if they leave off right in the middle of an important part, as long as the book isn't torn apart like with what happened to Harry Potter. And I'm sure true Twilighters have read the books, and it must've matured them greatly when their beloved Bella and Edward did it 4.5 times. They can deal with the movie. And the gore is certainly neccessary.
  • twihard498
they should start filming renesmee's scenes now so they wont have to worry about her growth speed as much when they really get started
  • am i the only one thinking about the wolves? i mean, they cant make a baby jump but they'll be making wolves on New Moon right? come on... as for the more than discussed birth scene, if you read it afterwards from bellas point of view, it doesnt sound so bad, just some squishes and blopps, because bella doesn't actually see whats going on, and also, never underestimate the power of flashbacks. if they do it like this, im taking credit. also, im sure they could come up with 3 similar curly babies and as for the teeth, as long as she has the bottom ones, she can pull it off.;)
Also something that worries me, a lot more than the birth scene or the non-existing sex scene as there is no description in the book, is how boring/annoying the whole mind reading/talking thing with the wolves will be, when i was reading it i couldnt help but think "how are they gonna pull *that* one off?"

  • Steff_uhh_nyy
I think that they should just make it superr long..I mean if people are willing to stand in line for hours to see it at the midnight opening(i know i did) than another hour or so is not gonna do anything but make the fans happier.Besides, in the book when they have sex it doesn't mention any detailss so when they make the scene it'll be like a make out session and transition off into the scene where they wake up ya know? As for the gore, I say just put like a nightgown on Kristen and rip a hole in the stomach or something..Im sure no one will really care if theres a little blood. Anyways, I think that if they make it rated R, kids r gonna have hissy fitss so they'll just have to take the goree.
  • Michelle
After seeing the trailer for "New Moon" the saga will not be complete if they do not make "Breaking Dawn" into a movie. I understand that there may be some issues but if their main reason for not is because it will need to be "R" rated then that's crazy!! The book is very graphic and if parents let their tweens and teens read it then what's the difference. We adults should not have to miss out because of teens, have your mommy or daddy take you. This series was origianlly supposed to be an idependent film but because of the fan base it turned into much more, Summit would be making a HUGE mistake and regret it in the end.
    SUMMIT DON'T BE STUPID!
  • K
I would be disappointed if the movie had a pg-13 rating. Clearly, the 4th book is more gruesome and even has sex scenes (kinda). If younger audiences are allowed to read it, then I'm sure they can get their parents to take them to see the movie. I hope it's rated R....
  • othersescape
I agree! If parents let their kids read about it, then why not see it? They're not kiddy books as much as it seems people are making them out to be in recent....
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
and if they really REALLY want to cut out all the violent scenes, they should at least include them on the dvd (OMG can't believe I'm ALREADY thinking about BD on DVD :D)
  • rs
Speaking of younger viewers, who is responsible for defacing My Little Pony?!

How dare they mess with my 80s childhood by doing that to an early 80s icon!!!
  • tia_jb10 (Team Wet&Shirtless)
hahahaha ikr why did they have to put twilight on a pony
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol i kinda like how it looks
  • Icey MB
Uhm, if you look at the pony, it is NOT from the 80's at all. It is one of the ponies currently available in any store.
  • jlynn1437
I could not agree with you more on this. If its not rated R I will be disappointed, that means they are leaving things out. They have to make Breaking Dawn! Really though, what would be the point in making the first 3 if they are not going to finish the story? More stuff happens in BD then the rest of the books and that is what the other 3 are building up too....
  • vikinglover76
that was exactly my point in an earlier response. WHAT IS THE POINT? I mean, the first 3 books lead up to Bella becoming a vampire and how she reconciles her relationships with Edward and Jacob. You can't just leave it at 3 films!
  • jasperr halleee <33
IT BETTER BE A FREAKING MOVIE!!!!!!!!
  • ElianaNoelle
I agree!! They need to make the movie & personally it better involved atleast 90% of the book! I don't care if they make it rated R, throw in the violence, sensual scenes, Jacob's language, etc. its a visual adaptation. If parents want their kids to see it then fine, but dont hold out on us, make it the best visual movie ever!
  • kaitlyn
I think Breaking Dawn movie should be aloud to 13yrs or older. The books were filled with much excitment and wonder, and if the parents allow their 12 or 13yr olds watch it then so be it.It should not have an age limit on who can watch it and who can't.But in other words I do agree that young children should not watch a movie as mature as this. But if the parents let them then thats the parents decision.
  • Smitten
They have to make BD a movie, or nothing will get tied together in the end. They can tone down all the bloody scenes, but they have to know we all HAVE to see bella as a vamp like Edward. We just have to see that, my god their making werewolfs, so surely they can make a kid look as real as possible. Summit will have a ton of pissed twilighter's if they don't go ahead with Breaking Dawn, and if I were Stephenie Meyer I would push the movie.
  • native_moohn
    I concur!! =]]
  • PattinsonPerfection
I totally agree that BD should be made into a film - and definately a 3 hour + one. The book can easily be condensed into a long film, and I think Twilight fans would definately prefer a long film rather than wait around for the second part.
And with all the special effects and CGI it would definately be possible to create Renesmee; she HAS to be in the movie; there would be no movie without her; she is the reason the Volturi come, there is no way they can make a movie with no Renesmee. I mean have you seen LOTR, Harry Potter, Beowolf and Benjamin Button? Yes, it would be hard to do but definately doable, it would just have to be done in the right way to impress all us Twilighters.
It would be hard to split the movie up though with the two different viewpoints but really, I don't think it's necessary at all. I mean, the story through Bella and Jacob's eyes can easily be told, there is no need for narration and confusion. The Twilight movie showed things that Bella didn't physically see or experience in the book (such as James and co killing Waylon) so it would definately be possible for BD to show Jacob circling the Cullen home and then for example cut back to Bella drinking blood from a cup, meaning both viewpoints could be shown, without cutting a straight distinction between the two. Oh I don't know, but you get my drift :)
Also I think it would really exciting to see Bella as a vampire, she has been wanting to be one throughout all three books previous and Twilight fans need to see her get her dream, for everything to fall into place for her and for her and Edward to finally be the same species. Her longing will be portrayed through all 3 films so it seems only right for it all to be tied up in the fourth. It will be interesting to see the vampire world through her eyes and I think it could be expressed really beautifull if done right. Plus the love of Bella and Edward only grows stronger in BD and it would be lovely to see this in the movie.
As for the sex/gory scenes? It can easily be made less gory and less nudity etc, but I think they should stay as true to the book as possible, whilst keeping on the right side of the line to reign in viewers so that Summit can still make their $$$. Parents who let younger children read BD have to be prepared to let them view the film, it's only fair and why let them read that type of content if they don't want them watching the book made into a movie? I think parents who have read the book should register that the books get darker throughout the saga - just like the Harry Potter books and films - and that BD is going to be the darkest book. It has to be kept the same as it was written, with the war being shown properly so that the movie saga can be finished as it was supposed to. Also, as someone else said, all the underage fans that adore it now will be older when BD finally comes out.
Oh my Goodddddd, I can't believe I'm talking about BD being in the theatres. I cannot wait til I have all 4/maybe 5 films on my shelf :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
It could be done it's just a question of doing it right.
New Moon will be an amazing film though.
  • bxbaby8827
They need to film BD!! The twilight Saga won't be the same without it. Besides, by the time New Moon and Eclipse are released the budget for BD should be good enough. And there is nothing wrong with CGI. I want to see Reneesme!! I want to see Bella become a Vamp and kick Volturi butt!! Besides, she practically saves everyone in the end with her "shield" powers. Awesome!! I don't care that it's R-rated and 4 hours long. As long as it's true to the book. That's what matters!!
  • Kristin
I read one of the articles that a link above led me to. By a Denise Martin I believe. Here is my opinion on that...

Ok, I myself, am a definite Twilight fan, but I do see the many issues that might stop Breaking Dawn from becoming a film. Although, even if I wasn't a Twilight fan, I'd still say my piece here. I must disagree with you on some of your points.
Your first point..is not a problem that would stop the movie from being made at all. So they get married, what's the problem? The marriage is a good thing. Edward had been begging Bella to marry him since the third book, and she has to do it in order to get him to be the one to change her. That's hardly a problem.
Second point, I agree. It is a bit dissatisfying that all of the suspense and build up of that one moment where we finally get to experience the full force of Bella's and Edward's love for each other, and it just "fades to black" as you said. However, Mrs. Meyer has her own beliefs as to why she wrote the book that way. That doesn't necessarily mean that the movie has to be the same way...At least all of the Twi-hard girls would love to see a bit more action considering they are all living as Bella! And again..that isn't really a reason to NOT make the book into a movie.
Third point, well....Bella is pregnant...so the narration is handed to Jacob. Hm...could end up confusing to the fans, but they know how the books go, they should expect the films to follow the same lead, although there may be some way around that whole ordeal. Again, not really a reason why the film shouldn't be made, but one of the bigger reasons why it would be harder to manage.
Fourth point, I must disagree with you completely about this one. Edward loves Bella so much that he would stoop to any level and do any thing possible to save her life. He always has, only this time it is out of his hands. I believe that may be the point. He has been her savior throughout the whole saga, but this time, he can't do anything about it. And because he loves her that much, he is dying inside, literally in pure agony, that he agreed to sleep with her in the first place. He feels responsible for this whole problem, so that makes it even worse on him. He is completely miserable, and he is having a difficult time holding his composure. The girl he loves more then his own "existence" is dying in front of him and he can't do anything about it. Of course he is completely needy! This only proves further the bond and love Edward and Bella have for each other.
Fifth point, this could potentially become a problem with the whole PG-13 bull. I'd say the book may be a little less then PG-13, so why not make the movie a little more the PG-13? There is a way around all of the full fledged blood and gore. Show a glimpse of what is happening when Edward is biting through the "shell" and getting the baby out of Bella, but then focus on something else. Jacob is narrating at this point, and that is actually what happens. He notices Edward doing that, then turns his attention right back to Bella and keeping her breathing. It is actually a very emotional scene rather then complete gore. Bella is dying, and giving birth at the same time, and everyone has their hands completely full trying to help her. Not a reason or problem big enough to stop the cameras from rolling.
Sixth point, I think that Renesmee fits her exactly. Perfectly! It is completely unique. And at the time, everyone believed that Renesmee was unique herself. I don't think that it is a bad name, I find it to be rather pretty. And I definitely don't think that it is "stupid dialogue" its only a name. Why anyone would have a problem with a name is beyond me. This point is definitely the farthest thing from being a reason for the movie not to be made, its not even funny! And to add to it, this is showing us as fans that Bella wants her daughter to have some form of a tie to her parents and Edwards parents. Renesmee Carlie. Renee and Esme, as well as Carlisle and Charlie. It seems her way to keep it close. She is a very loving girl. It is not a surprise she chose that name.
Seventh point, my oh my. The lose ends keep getting tied. It seems like a complete dream come true, which it is really. Bella's dreams are coming true. I think though, that this is signifying that she was made for Vampire life, as everyone keeps saying. She has always been completely clumsy and she attracts bad luck and bad things. When all her dreams finally start coming true after she is a Vampire, I think that it signifies that she has come to the point in her life where she has matured so completely and she is strong, and she knows what she wants and she is finally complete. Jacob imprinting on Renesmee like that seems a bit far fetched, but it was a miracle considering that Jacob wanted to kill Renesmee not half a second before he laid his eyes on her chocolate brown eyes. He is lucky because if he would have killed Renesmee, then if Rosalie and everyone else didn't take him out before Bella could get to him, she definitely wouldn't have thought twice about it. Not a reason why the movie shouldn't be made. Not at all.
Eighth point, Bella had been preparing mentally for her transformation for over two years. She was more then ready for it to happen. Just because she was a vampire, doesn't mean she didn't have a conscious, or a heart for that matter. She did find it extremely difficult to not hunt those humans in the woods, and she wouldn't have stopped had it been for her feeling threatened when Edward was following her. She didn't proceed because she didn't know if it was someone she knew. She wouldn't have been able to bear it if she hurt someone close to her. You are missing the point where she is an extremely kind warm girl. She loves with a great passion. And it WAS difficult for her not to bite her dad when he visited. It was very hard for her, but the fact that it was her father, and that she had all of the support of her vampire family, and werewolf friend, it made it a bit easier for her. Plus she held her breath a lot. She is stronger then the Cullen men because she is a newborn, and though she could easily take them down...if all of them were on her at the same time...there is no way she could take them all down. Not a reason to not make the movie.
Ninth point, Irina, one sister from the Denali clan, she opened her mouth to the Volturi about Renesmee, because she thought she was an immortal child. Of course the Volturi are going to come and put a stop to it. Not to mention, Aro is a selfish vampire who takes and takes, so he had already been planning to destroy the Cullens before Bella was even a vampire. This was only a reason to come before they actually had one. And it would have been a war, that is what it was supposed to be the whole time. Two armies to fight for what they wanted. A war. Not even close to being a reason for the movie not to be made.
Tenth point, Aro was amazed by Bella's gift. He'd never seen anything like it. Didn't know it existed. Nobody did at that point except Bella herself. And it was that, as well as Alice, that slowed them down. Not to mention all of the witnesses the Volturi themselves brought. The wolves stopped them in their tracks. They still wanted a fight. Bella's gift disoriented them and gave them doubt like they have never had before, but they still wanted a fight, although they knew that there was a huge chance they would lose. And Alice got there just in time...too perfect timing really...and said her two cents. The Volturi ran out of reasons to fight, and with their own witnesses there, there was nothing else they could do unless they wanted to be exposed for what they really are. That is why they left peacefully. To keep up their name. To keep their "white hats" because they believed themselves saints. Again, not a reason for the movie not to be made.

So there you have it. All of your reasons are things to consider. However, none of your reasons are reasons that should stop the movie from being made. With CGI and the technology, and a professional in that area, anything could come to the big screen and look real!! Definitely had some reasons to consider, but none of them were valid enough to keep the book off the screen. In my opinion anyways....and I'm not the only one I'm sure.
  • hartsafire
I agree they need to make this movie, it brings together all three books into one definitive outcome. Oh please sure there is blood and gore and sex and language, but come on, isn't the news anymore the same, you'll even here some language and sex suggestive scenes with Disney movies. Understandably the grapics of Renesemee will be hard to do, but it wouldn't be the first time they have had to come up with a way to make a scene work, take edward sparkling like diamonds in the first movie, that was a first too, and besides who ever wrote that article was off on their information because she jumps 15 ft in the air to catch a snowflake. hehe anyways yes it should be made
  • MCJesus
I don't care how many movies it takes to make Breaking Dawn happen, I just hope that it would be as true to the book as ever.

Some of my friends and people I've talked with say that the whole birthing scene and pregnancy freaked them out. I guess I understand why, one friend even said he thought Sigourney Weaver should have made an appearance because it reminded him of the Alien movies.... I just laughed :D

At any rate, technology advances everyday, I mean have you seen The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button? It's almost crazy what they can do...

The whole R rating thing... It's gruesome, it happened, you can't leave it out... toning it down wouldn't be the right thing to do, it wouldn't be staying true to the book.
  • Jadey
They should make it R. By the time it's out, most of the fans will be at an older age anyway. I'd be in my 20's probably by the time it's out. Theres no question about it, they have to do it.
Do not make it PG13, cause then they'll have to cut all the important scenes out. Kids shouldn't watch it anyway.
  • Heidi_Volturi
I think bringing Breaking Dawn to the big screen isn't that hard its really upto how willing the cast, crew and especially the studio are and most important of all(something I know that the majority will agree with me),kick *clears throat* I mean replace that mediocre screenwritter(Melissa Rosenberg).Breaking Dawn is a very complex book and will definitely need an amazing writter to give it life.
  • Sue
They better make Breaking Dawn a movie! They are going to make a gazillion dollars from the first three so there is no reason why they can't make the last one. I think there will be a lot of angry fans if they don't make the last movie. Not everyone is going to agree with me, but I think that Breaking Dawn should be rated R. I think the fourth book is the most graphic and it would be closer to the book if they showed all the gruesome scenes.
  • EmmettzGurl242
I agree, its not like most of the fans aren't mature enuff 2 handle that stuff anyway...so y not? They HAVE to stay true 2 the books, so wat other choice do they have but to make it graphic...
  • TwilightLover_Edward&Bella
they do to u r so right they have to finish all the books at movies if they make it a long eclipse it would suck plus that pony looks cool i want it and i'm 12 and if they make it after eclipse i'll be old enough to see it yes!!!!!!
  • chelseyserchio
    OMFE!!!
ok first of all, how in the hell can you make 3 movies and just end the saga there??? oh yah thts right you CAN'T!

Breaking Dawn is my fav book and i have been anticipating the movie just as i was when i read the fourth book.
OK so maybe it mght have to be R rated, so what if you read the books and your parents bought you them then they should do the same for the movie ticket and if not then it looks like you S.O.L. not our prblm. And yah the movie might have to be 3 hours long okay lets pull a benjamin button or a pirates of the carrabean?(all 3 hr long movies) so why cant we do tht to twilight???? they cut all the good parts frm twilight when they could of NO when they should of made it longer im sure tht the fans won't mind if they get a little bit more edward time(or taylor) time in breaking dawn, i know i sure as hell wouldn't I MEAN GIVE US A BREAK ITS THE LAST F' ing MOVIE for crying out loud =]]]
nd thts my opinion sorry its like a book but w.e!!!
  • nikki_23
they should make BD into a movie to complete the twilight saga. or else it just wouldn't be the same. i don't mind if the movie is gonna be made into two. as long as they stay true to the book.
  • Carolyn
Yes it should be a movie, R or not, PG 13 or not, there will always be some too young to see it and some parents I am sure think their children are too young to read BD. I for one was reading things a bit more graphic than that at that age (i.e. Flame & the Flower, Shanna) unknown to my mother that it was a bit graphic). I gave up on romance until Stephenies books because frankly, besides the Notebook, real romance in fiction seemed repetitive and dead. This series has given new life to romance - we want to see the conclusion of this beautiful series. They can shorten up the pregnancy stuff, the werewolf stuff and the gathering of the vampires - 2 movies or a 3 hour movie (i.e. Braveheart, i think Titanic was 2 1/2) regardless, every fan I have talked to (many, many adults) say BRING IT ON, WE WILL NOT BE BORED!!! This phenomena will only grow with these incredible actors and this beautiful story. It is a love story with many incredible twists and we wait with great anticipation!
  • becca77
    Just a quick FYI.......

The fan base for the Twilight Series stretches from the age of 10, all the way to grown, mature women in their 60's! I can honestly say that from experience...lol My daughters are 10 and 14, my sister is 27, I am 32, my mother is 53 and my mother in law is in her mid sixties!

General consensus, BREAKING DAWN IS THE BEST BOOK by a land slide!

To not make Breaking Dawn into a movie would cause women/girls of all ages around the world to boycot the filming industry! Seriously!

The only way BD will not be made is if all directors, screen writers, visual artists, graphic designers, tech specialists, animators, artists, cast, etc, collectivly fall and hit their heads.

Chronicles of Narnia anyone! How about Pans Labryinth? Pirates of The Carribean, Lord Of The Rings......... These are great movies with awesome visual effects. There is no question as to how they would make Renesmee come to life, or anything else in Breaking Dawn for that matter. If I can watch a movie with a talking lion, some creature from another world that is half goat and god knows what else, a whole pirate ship of men who are half man/half fish, and some little troll looking thing that walks around looking for "my precious", then they sure as hell better start putting their heads together and make Renesmee come to life, teeth, rapid aging, heavenly voice, advanced speaking, and jumping 8ft in the air for a freakin snow flake (cause its cute) !

As for the cast, they would be stupid not to make all 4 movies! Seriously, think about it! Case in point......Robert Pattinson was in Harry Potter, but does anyone really care or did anyone really notice? No, not really, but now women could spot him picking his nose from a mile away! lmao His fan base will follow whatever movie he makes unless he does something worse than Tom Cruise! hehe
  • Rose
I think it's obvious that there is a larger following to this movie than just pre-teens to people under the age of 17. The issue of this movie being rated R should not stop them from filming it. If a parent doesn't want their kid to see it...I'm going out on a limb here, so brace yourself....they could just tell them "no". At some point in history parents actually used such a word on their children. AND if the issue is the need for a mature speaking toddler who is 3 going on 20....my daughter would be perfect for that part. There, problem solved.
  • LaPushbabyLaPush
Ya know; I thought of all the things mentioned....It would be a RIGHTEOUS movie! CRAZY CGI.....This book is INTENSE....There's no way it could be rated "PG-13".....And I'm sorry but; I heard that with the "kissing scene" for Twilight that THAT was "toned down"....I would HOPE that that won't be the case for (if they make BD into a movie) Breaking Dawn....Especially "Isle Esme".....I mean; they NEED to get jiggy with it!!! They need to show the love man!!! As for all the blood and that jazz....those scenes are going to be incredible to see played out on screen....I had to put the book down a few times....I even said once that it was borderline Excorsist....Just with the craziness of it all....I don't know; We shall see........
  • OCDJenni
Why bother making New Moon and Eclipse is you're not gonna finish it all up with Breaking Dawn?! Technology will get them thru questionable parts, particularly with Reneesme. Careful consideration can be taken in what bloody/gruesome parts of the turning need to be shown. These seem such trivial things in this day and age-they can do so much with cgi & graphics & all that. If they make it, they'll come. lol Don't question whether it's rating will stop people from coming....cuz they'll all be there. The fans are always supportive. Given the other non-Twilight movies that have been out & knowing the "kids" that go see those with parental consent, this movie will have NO problem in getting them there. It's kinda like don't sweat the small stuff guys!
  • Ginger
i would be furious if they don't make the fourth movie. computer tachnology makes wonders-there are tons of ways to make nessie off. i don't give a shit if movie will be r-rated, i WOULDN'T like if they move all "violent" scenes from they movie. twilight saga isn't made for children under 14 anyway, so all you children f**ck of. we want a real breaking dawn and not some poormovie without blood at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Daisy
So I think that Breaking Dawn turning film classification should be for people over 16 years .. because of the scenes of honey moon between Edward and Bella are very hot ... I hope to have the 4 movie.
  • I agree with you. They don't need to change the plot so much that they skip over the honeymoon. I mean c'mon....give the fans what they want. A freakin' hot love scene and for God sakes make it NC-17 if they have to HAHA! The Harry Potter series got darker and scarier and the same is with Twilight, they get more mature and more adult things happen and by NO MEANS should they edit that out just so parents can take 12 year olds to see this. There is a MUCH larger fan base of adults! And when the screaming 13 year olds who love Edward become 17+ they will most certainly appreciate it!
  • FranCullen
Poor Rob, I can almost see his embarrassed face haha

They don't need to be so explicit, just a short scene of them covered in feathers xD
  • Absolutely NOT! I don't see Rob getting embarrassed over a steamy scene with Kristen after he did a pretty graphic gay love story. It's how the book is written and part of the role he plays.
  • FranCullen
Well yeah, he'll rather like it
  • EmmettzGurl242
I agree 2....the movie would totally suck if they cut out all of that...they're big, impt parts of the plot, so leaving them out wouldnt make any sense. We can handle it, since most of the fans are 14 and over. I'm sure no fan would mind the movie being like 3-4 hrs long either. I definitely wouldnt! I'm sure they could do that stuff with Renesmee with some kind of realistic-looking CGI. Other movies have done amazing stuff with CGI, so y not use that for Breaking Dawn?
  • i love rob
I pray that Breaking Dawn will be made!!!! They can always make it a 2 parter (just like the last book of Harry Potter!!!)
  • IndiesR
Defiantely, I dont care how they do it, I just want it done!

    Give us Breaking Dawn!!!!
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
Oh my God I have a little siesta (well technically me and my 2yr crashed on the Sofa together and I woke up not knowing where I was, She'll never sleep concidering it's 6pm now! oops!)

Anyways so much news to catch up on....If breaking down is not made into a film I will hunt down the big wigs at Summit, cut off their right arm, and then ask them how it feels! (I've said this before and I mean it) Then I will get the wet dish rag out and slap em round the gob with it for being stupid! LMAO

It has to be made other wise there will be no closure, we need to have it all brought to life...CG-bloody-I will cover Reneesme, if it can do that Butt ugly Gollam in LOTR it can do a gorgeous child.

I don't think it should be rated 12, it should be at least 15 with the option if they are brought along with Adult to see it, they can...its up to the parent...but they don't have to show Edward ripping her stomach open with his teeth or sex scene's, nothing was described in the book, so it can be left to the views mind.

If they do it into 2 films they can film it back to back so that the actors can move on, release date them a couple off months apart and then release them together as a double dvd.

Hey they should give me a job, I'd be good at this! LMAO
  • vikinglover76
Oh my . . . again with the right arm! LMAO. The poor Summit execs aren't going to have any limbs left after we're done with them!

Giving you an "amen" on the Gollam bit . . . I have mentioned it several times before when the whole Renesmee thing has been brought up. It wouldn't be that difficult to produce a child like her through CGI.

Of course, I agree with the rest of your post as well (as usual my friend!). :)
  • mljhasocd (Team Pea Coat)
    Great post!
  • vikinglover76
I do want it to be made but I worry about the actors sticking around for it. They would almost have to make it into 2 films in order to keep with the book and not tick off the fans. We all know how the fans feel about cutting corners in these movies . . . it would be an ugly sight indeed!
  • DxOxDBLxT
Actually I saw videos of both Robert and Kristen saying if the 4th one is made they will stick around and do it, but because it's not official yet there are no contracts to be signed. It would make no sense for them to bail on the last film (or two depending) because they will be making a mint on them.
  • vikinglover76
Yes, I've read this too but there is a big difference between saying and doing. I would hope they would stick around to see the series through...but you never know. And I'm sorry, but I just don't see Rob or Kristen choosing to make a film for the sake of making big bucks.
  • DxOxDBLxT
I don't think Kristen or Rob would do that either. They took on these rolls for a reason and signed on for the next two for a reason as well. The only difference now is that they're making more money. So I guess I can't see especially after both of them saying they would do it, why they would choose not to.
  • vikinglover76
It's just a very long commitment for them. I have faith they'll continue until the series is over but you never know. I guess my thing is that I don't want to get my hopes up just to have them crushed if Rob gets a wild hair and decided to go into hiding for a time after Eclipse! LOL
  • vikinglover76
It's a lot of pressure for 2 people who obviously do not like the spotlight. That is my concern I guess...
  • i love rob
That's true, cause technically, they are only contracted for 3 movies!!!! They might not want to do the 4th one! Especially all the craziness that goes with it!

But, on a positive note, maybe if the 4th one is made....they might be use to all the craziness and it won't phase them by then........do you think that is possible????
  • vikinglover76
I hope they love the fans, the movies, and everything that goes with them enough to sign on for Breaking Dawn (probably 2 movies worth of BD). The good thing is that they are all doing other projects to show they are a talented, diverse group of actors. I worry about Rob and Kristen the most. They seem to have had the hardest time adjusting to it all. I don't think it's like Harry Potter though were the characters have "grown-up" doing the films so it is difficult for fans to see them as any other characters.

This is why we, the fans of Twilight, need to support other films the actors are in. Boost their confidence that we don't just see them as "Edward, Bella, Jacob, Alice, etc...."
  • JDC927
I'm still in the process of reading Breaking Dawn but from what I've read it needs to be made. I, as others I'm sure, need to see the closure of the story. I want to see the wedding, the honeymoon, etc.
If they are really concerned about the birth scene they could always put it behind closed doors with some of the family outside listening or something like that. There are ways to get around the violent and sexual parts.
BUT, I think they should include it all. If the kiddies parents let them read the books, then they can take them to the movie.
  • Milan
Everyone needs to stop huffing and moaning. If they make the rest of the movies before Breaking Dawn they will have enough money to budget the movie. Besides it can be done! If you don't let them try they will say "Sure even they fans don't think we can do it." then they will back out. I would rather give them the chance and see how it goes then have no movie at all.
Besides their are a lot of camera tricks for Renesemee. I've seen that baby genius movie and sure it was cheesy, but this is the future. With a budget like theirs I am sure they can come up with something brilliant with the right camera shots.
Another thing is the movie can be split in two. It can be done in a way that's decent in two sections. The ending for the first film would be Bella happy with her marriage, baby and new family. The second film can end with her developing and honing her new skills and adapting as a vampire. Then end with the big fight.
Sure Breaking Dawn is going to be darker then the rest. If you think about it most of the underage teenagers will be adults when Breaking Dawn is released. I don't care if someone is underage when the movie comes out. They will have to just wait like the rest of us did when we were younger and couldn't do those things without permission. Besides it reminds me a lot of Harry Potter when some of the movies got darker and more violent. If you don't like it don't let your children read the books and watch the movies. I knew this wasn't a book for the underage from the beginning it was violent and sexual from the start.
  • RobRocks
I 100% agree with you. I think it would be stupid on their part to NOT make BD
  • tijanabd
i hope they will make breaking down as well i mean it would be stupid to film 3 of the books and then not film the 4th. its like you film harry potter 1,2,3,4,5 and then you dont film the rest.....stupid
  • LMCullen
haywaite = that 'tis moi! I randomly found that Fox News article doing one of my obsessive daily Twilight Google searches LOL. Anyway, I came across that and was like wth? I almost Shat myself .. then I realized .. DUH that has to be BS ... Heidi is NOT in Eclipse or BD ...

But yes .. I agree .. there HAS To be Breaking Dawn!! Personally, I think the movies should be rated R from now on. Really, Eclipse and BD are not for children...
  • Syra
    I agree...
  • crookedsmile
She could be in BD because all the vampires from Volterra visit the Cullens at the end of the book. It could be implied that she is there.
  • jasperr halleee <33
just bc theres all this bloody crap is no reason to make it r rated!!!!! i mean a biiigggg majority of the ppl who llllluuuuhhhhvv twi are younger
  • LMCullen
Well then, they'll have to get their Mommies and Daddies to take them : )
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
    LMAO
  • LMCullen
deedee .. were you born in 81? .. if so, I guess we don't classify as younger any more do we? lol
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
I was indeed, and it's my birthday on Fri and I officially turn 28! Scary Lol
  • LMCullen
Well happy early Bday to you!! Mine was Feb 2nd .. I got a couple months on ya!! I just seen the 81, and assumed we were born in the same year lmao.

My husband will be 30 in May .. I can't EFFIN wait .. no matter what, I'll always be younger than him! Unless, of course, he turns into a vampire .. hahahaha hilarious.
  • hartsafire
don't knock thirty now, one day you too will be thirty ;-) speaking from exp.
  • LMCullen
oh I know! I've only got 2 years to go! I'm just saying that no matter what, I'll still be younger than him .. and I love to tease him about it. Cause he ALWAYS is making cracks about the Saga .. I have to have something to bug him about ! LOL
  • TeamEDWARD#1
    lol
  • tijanabd
i agree... i mean they can even change it a little for the movie so it isn so "scary" and bloody.
  • LMCullen
pfft .. that completely takes away from the book! I'm sure they can do w/o some of the things Renesmee does, or work around it. But no matter which way you look at it, Breaking Dawn is action packed full of R rated sh*&
  • TeamEDWARD#1
no, no, no, that wont be like the book then. these little kids can either find an adult to take them or wait till it comes out on dvd nd buy it lol
  • LMCullen
    AMEN!!
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol i'm so serious though they think we care if they gotta wait 2 see it. I know i don't do you ??? lol
  • LMCullen
    Not even in the slightest!!
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol r we mean for saying this?? haha
  • LMCullen
nah .. we are awesome .. frig.
  • TeamEDWARD#1
Omg !! lol i just found a new best frend lmao
  • LMCullen
    hahaha wicked :P
  • DxOxDBLxT
it's actually more likely to be rated R because of sexual content (the honeymoon) then it is because of violence (when the baby is born). So we will probably loose the sex scene and still have a semi graphic birth scene. I wish it was the other way around. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Soccer moms are really concerned about their children having sex not so much about them killing other people. Ha If this movie isn't made we can blame all of the soccer moms of the world.
  • TeamEDWARD#1
    lol
  • Sarah
The sex scenes were never shown in the book. Meyer led us up to the point where we knew that a sex scene was coming and then moved on to the next scene. I expect the movie to do exactly that. The leading-up-to-sex scenes are completely within the PG-13 rating.
  • DxOxDBLxT
Yea I know ive read the books like 3 times through. I think that they will show it in better detail in the movie. if I remember right Stephenie doesnt even describe them kissing or anything before the sex scene it's lamer than the kissing scenes in Twilight. The movie should at least lead up to it better hopefully.
  • hartsafire
Actually they were talking while having sex the following morning after bella awoke as a vampire, before they left to go back to the Cullen house to check on renesmee, it plainly says so, just have to read between the lines
  • lorena103
yeah theres alot of younger people that love it but it should still be rated R. im one of the younger fans but by the time it comes out i'll be old enough to go see it. and if ur parents let you read the book they should let you go watch the movie
  • TeamEDWARD#1
dam right my i think a persons imagination can be worse than actually seeing something.........sometimes anyway lol
  • lorena103
    lol that is so true
  • TeamEDWARD#1
i have made things worse for my self with my imagination running off ahead ov me lol it was so bad the doctors actually sent me 2 a heart specialist lmao they thought i was goona die or sumthing .......turns out i was just really scared ov needles ...rofflmao
  • Syra
It would be horrible if they didn't do a movie about it :/ Since I read the book, I've been imagining all the time what would it look like in the movie and I've been so damn EXITED about the damn thing... :(
  • Amanda
On imdb it has all the twilight movies listed. It has Eclipse in 2010 and Breaking Dawn in 2013.
  • LMCullen
yeah but as we all know .. IMDB isn't really that trustworthy (ahem .. Annalynne McCord as heidi...). You can change it, just like Wikipedia ...
  • RobRocks
i think they will film BD in 2010. We might see it until the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011 but Not 2013. Edward cant age and rob will look so different in 4 years. him and the olther cullens as well. i saw an interview with rob and he was saying that for the next 1 and a half to 2 years he will be making all the movies and he will be twilighted out.
  • LMCullen
I don't want them to wait until 2013 either! However, does it really matter, in all honesty, if they age a bit?

For all of you who watched Buffy or Angel .. hello David Boreneaz (aka the Original brooding sexy vampire). Go back and watch and episode from the 1st season of Buffy, then watch an episode from the last season of Angel .. he certainly aged! But no one seemed to mind or really care for that matter. Its really not a big deal.

But .. I don't want to wait .. i want them all .. NOW! LOL
  • vikinglover76
I read that too. I doubt he will stick around to do BD if it is much longer than 2010 or 2011. I would guess they will see how New Moon does and then announce that they are filming BD (similar to how they announced NM). I could see them filming in 2010 (before Eclipse comes out) and then releasing it in early 2011.
  • IndiesR
I hope they make it, it might be changelling for what happens that they will need to portray, But there is no way then can end the saga with just Eclipse. I need to see the wedding, 1st (pillow biting)& 2nd honeymoon, nessi....etc.

Please Summit, give us Breaking Dawn!!!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
you need to see the honeymoon and Rob probably craves for a proper sex scene with Kristen! ROTFL
  • very funny lol
  • IndiesR
    LMAO, too funny :)
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol we all know rob's up 4 it but do u think kristen wud do it ?????? ( hmmm???? ) lol
  • honey bee
    Agreed! :}

    Bring on Isle Esme, moonlight skinny dipping, feathers (tons of feathers!), broken headboards...;}
  • jral
all of the above! lol i hope poor sweet rob doesn't read this particular website lol surely he would drop out of the films if he had any idea of the places our imaginations are capable of taking us =P
  • CindysGotOCD
I think he would actually enjoy it.... as humble as he is
  • IndiesR
Yes! Exactly! Can we say... "Action!!"
  • EmmettzGurl242
LOL couldn't agree more guyz!...I'm already dying 4 New Moon in November...BD has 2 b the best, no doubt about it =]]
  • tia_jb10 (Team Wet&Shirtless)
i so want it to be a movie, but are they gonna change it why would Heidi be in BD? but they have to make BD cuz they just cant leave jacob it wud be to devestating for me but i really hope they do make it a movie. well wat ever they do i hope its good.
  • TwilightLover_Edward&Bella
who is heidi again please tell me it's been a long time since i've seen twilight!!!!!!!!
  • Facebook User
WHAT! IT BETTER BE MADE INTO A MOVIE!
  • Anonymous
No i disagree and yes Im a twilight fan been for many years but you just can't make it a film. They'll make it with the biggest budget best people and i will be a disapointment. You all would want to kill me right now but its true... Renesme will be a joke I've learnt cgi and she will look like a freak. And be honest how can they make the birth un -R rated never mind the sex? Two films... miss half of the book out still...
  • Irishgirl
Hmm. I disagree. I think it could be made. And it could be made as a PG-13 if Summit wanted that, or an R if they were inclined. Renesmee doesn't have to be CGI'd for every scene she's in. We don't have to see her teeth in every shot. She only has to talk once to accomplish showing that she can talk as an adult. The rest can be explained in dialogue or visually.

Concerning the sex, we don't have to see that, meaning PG-13 movie. Or we can see one or two scenes, meaning R rating. Either way, it's not graphic in the book, so it doesn't have to be graphic in the movie. Sometimes less is more. Personally, I can't wait to see the "after" scene, where Bella wakes up on the white bed, next to Edward, bruised, and feather coated. I thought that was a great scene in the book....emotional, touching, and humorous.

As for the birth scene, we don't need to see Edward rip her uterus open with this teeth. Have Edward leaning in to bite, and then cut away to Bella writhing in pain with Jacob next to her. There are ways to convey the scene with out all the gore. I think bringing the book to film can be done. The biggest concern is the CGI for Renesmee, and frankly, that's not a very big concern. The Lord of the Rings trilogy has proven that anything can be accomplished, and done well, in a film.
  • isa
irishgirl, I agree with everything you said. Plus, I honestly don't think stephenie Meyer would allow them to do any graphic sex scenes (unfortuantely, I wouldn't mind it one bit). :)
  • Izzy
They can make a movie about Breaking Dawn, please you don't have to show Edward ripping Bela's stomach with his teeth. Nessie talking or jumping 8 feet to catch a snow flake never heard of computerized scenes. Please if other movies are computerized or changed in some way to been shown don't tell me it can't happen. The 4th book better turn into a movie. Hey scareface was a 4 hour movie why not Breaking Dawn.
  • jral
oh please for the love of all that is twilight, GIVE US A BREAKING DAWN MOVIE!!! i'm begging you!!! as soon as rpattz was cast, i began imaging breaking dawn being filmed, over, and over, and over again!!! don't deprive me of my beautiful naked rob!!!! it's only fair that we get at least partial nudity at some point =( wow i totally sound like a perv lol i'm sry, but he just does that to me!!! besides, i'm 19 so there's nuthin wrong about that =P
  • TeamEDWARD#1
dam right we're at that age where things like that are allowed even expected lmao
  • isa
breaking Dawn wasn't even out when Rob was cast...? huh?
  • Krystal
There is hope for the movie - and it would definitely be a long movie, not that I would mind. I think that, for most, we realize we are reading a book about vampires and even expect a little blood every now and then.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1324999/
  • TeamEDWARD#1
i think that if i cud sit down to watch the godfather movies and the lord of the ring movies i cud sit and watch BD for however long it was even if it was 24 hours....or more lol
  • Josefine
1.Renesmee is a hard one .. BUT you can do many things with tecnology.. like we dont need to see her catch a snowflake for good sakes -____-
2.Esay just make it in to 2 movies like the last harry potter movie
    3. You can senure that part .. we dont need to see ever thing .. but you cant cut out the hole birht scene ..

Btw .. the y cant just make 3 movies and .. Naah we dont make the 4th we just let everbody wonder what happens with jacob,Edward and bella -____-
  • Syra
Yeah that's what I thought, it woul be like reeeaaally stupid o__O
  • Parfait
I mean they made gollum, and Benjamin Button, they can make Rennie!
  • i so agree with u
  • Beaker
It's possible that the report is correct, and that Noot could appear in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn...remember, in Eclipse, Jane and a portion of the Volturi guard come to clean up the "newborn mess" -- and Noot could be included as Heidi in that contingent. Then, at the end of BD, ALL of the Volturi come to confront the Cullens...so again, Heidi could be there as well.
  • jral
very true...they never listed her specifically as being there, but if the wives came, wouldn't heidi? you make a very good point =D
  • othersescape
That is exactly what I thought when I first saw that. Good eye!
  • Irishgirl
That Noot Seear bit is perplexing. I don't see the point in including Heidi in Eclipse. She wasn't part of the contingent that came to 'clean up the mess', and what would it add storywise to having her there? Plus, wouldn't they add someone who'd had more acting experience if they were going to beef up the character of Heidi? Meyer didn't seem to find Heidi important enough to include her in Eclipse or mention her in Breaking Dawn. So I just don't see what adding her to the last two movies would accomplish.
  • LMCullen
Yeah but if she is magically signed on for a 3 movies .. then why isn't Dakota fanning, Michael Sheen, the wolf pack, etc .. signed on then? This IS Fox news pp, there credibility .. is well ... lack thereof ...
  • sunlady
yes i well agree they really need to finsh all the books . not just have 3 maded & not the last. & i have looked forward to SEEING all of them on the big screen. & as for the kids ,
u know as well as i they well down play some parts.!(( wish they won,t) but then again they may not we,ll just have to hope that they stay true to the book!!!! BUT pleaseeee i hope this movie get,s on the big screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • LD
But with the technology they had for Benjamin Button, I don't see why the can't make it.
  • Avery88
I think a bigger issue is the Imprinting. Sure those of us who have read the book understand that it's not really a physical thing but it would be wicked hard to explain in a movie and it would make audiences uneasy. or they can have Renesme age a bit faster after she is born and be full grown in a matter of weeks instead of years.

I think Renesme can be done (anyone here see Beowulf?) but it would cost a ton and she would look to airbrushed next to the human actors.
  • vikinglover76
I don't think the imprinting would be that difficult to explain . . . it is actually discussed in detail in New Moon because of the whole Sam/Emily thing. It is something they can get out of the way early in the films and go back to for BD. No worries . . . . and yes, Renesmee can be done with computer technology. My worry for the movie being made is getting the actors to sign on to do a 4th or 5th. That will be a touchy issue I think.
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
I totally agreed. This is my greatest concern.
  • Avery88
    last post and im done.
as for making it an R-rated movie I really don't see that happening, I think I read in an interview that Stephenie Meyer doesn't watch R movies because of her faith (nothing wrong with that) so I don't think they would make a movie that the author herself couldn't watch :P
  • alfredojwill
If they already started making the first 3 books into movies, it will be a disappointment to not make the Fourth!! I think each book leads into the next, when they finish Eclipse we are just hooked on what will happen in Breaking Dawn! The movie will be hard to make that is not in dispute but hey SUMMIT rise to the challenge!!!Actors Included, I think it can totally be made. I mean They have altered tTwilight for the adaptation and Im sure they will alter New Moon the same can happen for Breaking Dawn not everything has to happen exactly as it happened in the book, Renesme will be a challenge but I think It can be made!! As a Twilight Saga Fan I want to see all 4 movies made !!
  • honey bee
I truly believe Breaking Dawn will get made. I think Summit is waiting for New Moon to do extremely well, so Breaking Dawn can get the green light! It's up to us fans to make it happen. ;} Summit will figure out a way with the cgi effects; anything is possible with today's technology. I think they will find a way to make it PG-13, since they want to make another $400 million, and they won't come near that with a mature audience alone. Of course, there will be plenty of moms who take their daughters to see it with an R rating (you just need to be accompanied by an adult). However, that eliminates all the girls who go in groups to see it 2, 3, 4, 5 times. Tricky business!
  • isa
I'm in my lat 20s and so are my BFFs and we allw ent to see that movie 3 times.... Just saying...
  • Heidi
I think they could get away with making it one long movie... I mean look at Titanic. Or Pearl Harbor. And even the Harry Potter series. I'd pay to sit through a 3 or 4 hour movie if they stayed true to the book and had all of the same characters. I am curious to see the movie translated from book to script to screen.
  • they have better make this a movie .....i mean u cant just stop after eclispe ...its like he proposes to her and then.....blank ....u have to countinue the movies all the way to breaking dawn .....i just think u cant stop right in the middle of the movies and say u know what i think we r gunna stop .......u cant just do that ....its unfair ....ok i think i am done with my speech lol
  • Claudia
I would really hope they would make the movie, but will the actors sign up for antohermovie???
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
This is my greatest concern. I don't see Kristen signing up for BD at ALL. The nudity alone would be a total turnoff for her not to mention the sex scenes which I don't see her doing.

I don't think Summit will pass on BD simply because of the complexity of the graphics, did you guys see Watchmen? They can do wonderful things with technology.

The REAL problem is the actors. Nobody wants to see new faces playing the main characters. And you guys know that if Kristen drops off SO WILL ROBERT!

Another reason that BD might not make it would be because of Eclipse. Its not my favorite book and many fans complain about Jacob's character. This is the movie that will make the least amount of money IMHO and Im sure Summit probably suspects that.
  • TEAM EDWARD!!!
ok they can do it with out nudity there are many ways to get around that... and they have already said that weather they do breaking dawn or not depends upon new moon...plus just because you dnt like eclipse dosnt mean you wont go to the movie, I didnt like new moon it was my least favorite book and i still cant wait for it to come out...also who care how they portray jacob...hes an ass....TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
I didn't say I didn't like Eclipse. I said it's not my favorite book (of the series). And you can't listen to everything Summit says because in the end its about money to them.

I dont care if they rate this movie Rated R. I'm just hoping for nudity. Who doesn't want to see Rob naked? lol
  • AQUA
ummm i kind of c what u r trying to say but for me Eclipse was almost my favorite book of course i will go watch it and i know alot of plp that liked Eclipse the best i know Jacob is an ass no offence Team jacob plp out there but they are alot of plp that like jacob better (not me) and the hole triangle love thing mite seen stupid to other plp from what ive heard but seriously dont u think a triangle will make it more interesting not to metion how true was bellas love like their biggest obstacle in their relationship im just saying I hate jacob specially in eclipse but that is my favorite out of all of the book TEAM EDWARD all the way ^_^
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
Personally, I don't hate Jacobs character. In fact, I like him better than Bella in Eclipse. She really ticks me off for everything she does to both of Edward and Jake. What I have noticed is that people criticize this book the most. They either learn to dislike Bella or dislike Jacob. I've seem some awful stuff being said about each character. So I wonder how this will translate to ticket sales?

The book has some great stuff, such as the night Bella spends the night with Edward at his house (engagement), Bella and Edward's discussion on why she wont marry him, the convo with Edward and Jake (camping), etc. And we all want to see these things, trust me I'll see this movie several times.

With that in mind, I already know I wont see this movie 10+ times like I saw Twilight. Eventhough Twilight was not upto my standards. =)
  • vikinglover76
I think fans will enjoy seeing Eclipse brought to life on the big screen. Being able to actually SEE how the Jacob/Bella/Edward thing plays out is major. These books all build on each other and if you get into New Moon and understand the whole Victoria issue and then get the dynamic between the 3 lead characters, you should WANT to see it all play out in the next movie (being Eclipse). It isn't as slow as New Moon or parts of Twilight for that matter and gives good interaction between the wolves and the Cullens. These books show a progression in Bella's life . . . as well as the other characters . . . and besides BD, Eclipse plays a key role in this development.

As for the nudity . . .where exactly was there nudity described in detail in BD? There wasn't really. There would be no real reason to see Kristen naked, not even in the birth scene. Even if the script called for it, many women in Hollywood use body doubles because they won't get naked in front of the camera (ie: Julie Roberts).

If the actors don't sign on it will be because they are tired of all of the fan crap . . . not because of the story line.
  • Darkfall
Just FYI, yeah Heidi is a Volturi, so yeah, she's in the next volumes. It doesn't have to mention her by name in the book for us to assume she's among them. It does state that ALL of them come...
  • cherrybell's
I hope they make Breaking Dawn in to a two part movie but I can't see how they can bring Renesemee's character to life. Now don't kill me but maybe there're going to have to write Renesemee out of the script. I just cant see how they will be able to pull off make a realistic CGI of Renesemee. I really hope I'm wrong because I know that her character is important to Breaking Dawn.
  • njg1187
The entire BD book is based on what happens because of renesmee's existence, if you take her out then what is the reason for the volturi coming? If you don't have renesmee, you don't have a reason for a movie. The technology in benjamin button alone proves that making a character like renesmee is possible
  • Steph
They should make a movie from BD!!! Its my fave book.
  • pink
I don't think it shoud me R rated. I mean, it's not like the book is that violent, or has that many sex scenes. And they don't have to show the whole birth secene, we can see it more from Bellas perspective, when the lights fades or outisde with the others of the Cullens or something, or more prom the top so we don't see so much.

I think they will come up with someting for Renesmee, today almost anything is possibole, and after threee movies they're gonna have enough money.

And if the film is to long, they can just make two. (But I defently wouldn't mind it to be in tree or four ours, like the Lord of the Rings or Titanic, why can't BD be long? :D)

If they don't do it.. Many fans is gonna see red. I think they will make it, they just need some time, before they promise anything.
  • Maria
As much as I love all the Twilight books, I'm not actually sure I want Breaking Dawn to be made into a movie. The whole Renesmee deal, I'm sure, is pretty difficult to do on screen, and the book is way too long, even if they make it into two movies.

I actually thought about Breaking Dawn once, and how I think they should make it into a movie. How about stopping the minute Bella turns into a vampire, you know, when she opens her eyes? Then we all know she's a vampire, we alle know she's given birth to Renesmee, we all know that they live happily ever after (well at least eventually) and then that's it.

I honestly think the whole "mystery" and the supernatural of the books ends, the moment Bella becomes a part of the vampire world. You know, when she no longer needs protection and she's awake to know everything that goes on, even at night because she doesn't sleep anymore. The thing I love about the books is the fact that Bella's human, and not a vampire. There are things she doesn't understand about the supernatural world, there are things she can't do, so there's always this mysterious atmosphere over things, because she's not around to experience everything. I don't know if I'm making sense here?

So I'm not sure I want a Breaking Dawn movie, but if they do decide to make it, and it turns out that they delt pretty well with all the challenges of Renesmee and the length of the book and such, then of course I'll gladly watch it. :)
  • LaPushbabyLaPush
I understand what you're saying...However I would have to disagree....(with all respect of course)....I would love to see things played out when Bella becomes a Vampire...That part of the book was so intriguing....it was amazing see the world through Bella's eyes once she transformed....I think it would be pretty bad-a** to see that on screen.....Her strength...Her grace...Her fierce love for Edward and Renessmee...Anyhoo; that's my shpeal....
  • Sarahsitas
I wholeheartedly agree. Frankly, as much as I love the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn... well... frankly... disgusted me. The change of tone from the first book to the last is mind-boggling to me. The moment that Bella insisted that Jacob needed to be part of her life, despite seeing how much it pained Edward, I felt like I lost track of what I loved about the books. And the entire pro-choice bits? No thanks.

It went from a lovable series to something just entirely DIFFERENT from what I was expecting. TOO different. I'd like to pretend Breaking Dawn never existed, to an extent -- and that includes not seeing it in a film-version (although, I do like your idea about ending it when she opens her eyes).

I don't want to see Robert Pattinson inject Kristen Stewart's heart with venom.

I don't want to see him rip her stomach open with his teeth.

I don't want to see Charlie's physical pain as he sees what his daughter becomes. (And doesn't question it because he'd rather be on a "need to know basis"... for real? Makes no sense.)
  • hartsafire
but you forgot one thing one of the reasons Aro lets them go in New Moon is because he is interested in how bella turns out what her "superpower" is since it defied his and janes abilities.. just something to think about
  • jules60
They could make it into two parts shoot both movies at the same time just like they did with The Lord of the Rings. They just used some new technology with CG with Brad Pitts last movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, so we know it can be done. They will make enough money to pay for the special effects. I believe they will make Breaking Dawn, I hope it is rated R. Let the parents go with the younger fans to see the movie, they read the book.
  • Team Jacob!
What difference does it make on whether or not the movie is rated R? A real fan wouldn't let that stop them. And it doesn't really need to show Edward ripping her open all that much. Bella's face is all Jacob is looking at, so it could just focus in on her face, and use sound effects as to what Edward would be doing.
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
I agree with this. We don't have to see him actually do it. I know I dont want to see that. lol
  • Whitney (flowerbud1234)
What the hell are they talking about, Impossibility of casting a baby with full set of teeth, rapid growth ect.? Have the seen the talking baby from the ETRADE commercials? They could even do CGI! The only problem I see them having is condensing the big book down to a 2 or could be even 3 hour movie.
  • TeamEDWARD#1
i have an idea about how to fix the condensation part. its real simple........ dont condense!!!!!! lol
  • xXBMTHXx
My thoughts exactly. I've tried to contact Stephenie countless times telling her exactly how to do the ETRADE method. It's actually very simple to make it look clean and real. However, Mrs. "this is all too impossible" (*cough* Stephenie *cough*) is too busy stating how it can't be done to listen.
  • jules60

  • RobRocks
i hope they make it but I dont know if I see kristen doing nude scenes. I cant wait to see bella as a vampire. and just having all of the cast in the WHOLE movie and edward and bella "whole" again and happy "and horny" but hey more action the better!!!!!!!!
  • penelope
I feel like Breaking Dawn makes a better book than a movie. I don't think anyone who hasn't read the book would like it as a movie. It's totally anti-climactic, not to mention that I think Renesmee would come across as really creepy. Really, a newborn baby with teeth and long hair?

On the other hand, it would be weird and really up in the air for them to just end with Eclipse. I guess I'm ok with either way, as long as Breaking Dawn doesn't turn out to be the most bizarre movie I've ever seen, which I have a feeling that it could.
  • mushy
first of all, edward didnt rip bella's stomach with his teeth.. and they doesnt have to show all the things in the book literaly.. just do something about it.. breaking dawn is the best book out of the 4 books.. like there is so much action and love in it.. i wish they will do it.. they dont have to do it page by page.. duh.. and how many movies are there with special effects... they can think of something for renesmee... whats with all the technology that we have now!!!
  • RobRocks
he did to rip her stomach with his teeth. that the only way to get to the baby through the "tough" skin
  • hartsafire
actually they used a scapel to open bellas stomach to get to the "shell" for lack of a better word, then he used his teeth on that to get the baby out.
  • pink
I think Renesmee will be charming :)

And they just can't stop with Eclipse, there are so many things that will be left open then.. So many questions.

I really hope they will make it into a movie.
And I think they can make it good for ppl who haven't read the book two.
And Bella vampire will be awsome :D
  • beanie
I'm in the minority and I know it. I thought Breaking Dawn was a terrible ending to this series. I had high expectations, and was severely disappointed. I don't care to see it made into a movie.
  • Heather
I'm kinda with you. It was definitely my least favorite of the 4 but, I would like to see it made into a movie.
  • TeamEDWARD#1
what was wrong with it ?? ( confused face lol ) **** no attitude in this question lol
  • bina209
wow this is the first time i read every comment but everyone has a good point..
but they have to make Braking Dawn! but i believe they will,it would just be a stupid move if they dont. and with the whole making it two movies, i think they should just make it a long movie. i say a good movie is a long movie, like some one said scareface was 4hr long, even LOTR Trilogy movies are like 3hrs long!but i was upset that Twilight was short they needed to add a lil more details about Bella and Edward so in BD they need to keep the wedding, Isle Esme, the pregnancy, birth....etc. who cares if its rated R these books never seem like children books anyways, and they better get the book right because i cried on some parts like when Bella says her good byes to Nessie and that she'll love her forever. that chokes me up ever time..... but i know they can pull off the whole Renesmee thing, they might be a lil more advance with the cgi by then.
but ya thats just my thought
    Team Edward :)
  • TeamEDWARD#1
omg i cried for that 2 nd wen edward says ( you know wat 2 jacob at the end dont want 2 say it incase sum1 hasnt read it yet ) 8 )
  • Juju
I think they can pull it off.
But I also think it may need to be R rated and two parts.
  • ChelleC
BD needs to be made into a movie. You cant make only three of the books into a movie and leave out the fourth. Its either all of them or none of them. Summit has made more money then they know what to do with from Twilight at the box office and now with DVD sales alone and expect to make even more with NM and E it would be stupid on theor parts not to complete the entire series.

With all the money Summit has now the making of Reneesme can be done with CGI!Remember Smeigel, Ben Button?? Anything can be done by computer now if you have the $$ to do it and Summit defeinatley will have more than enough by the time BD begins filming.

As far as the rating goes it should be an "R" rated movie but it wont as the series main audience is teenage girls. They will just have to work the birthing scene and (sad to say) all the hot sex scenes a bit but a lot can be shown in a PG-13 movie now a days so we may still get some intense scenes after all.

I do agree that the movie needs to be at least 3 hours long. If Titanic, Harry Potter and the god aweful Watchmen movie can do it why not BD????
  • Decadence
What are all these "hot sex scenes" I evidently missed during the book? o.o The only thing in there is the implication that it happenes. The book never goes into detail - at all. It would come off with a PG-13 rating, again.
I guess now that all the tweens are finding their way to this book we'll hear screams of "LYK O-EM-GEE! EWW!" when Bella's in anything short of a freaking Bhurka. >>
  • whitney
I don't care how they do it, But they better make it into a movie I want to see kristen stewart has a vampire. They can't just make all the other movies and leave this one out. They can do what harry pottor is doing make it into parts. With the rating who cares about the younger ages if there parents letted them read the books i'm sure they will let them see the movie, if they don't make into a movie i will be really mad.
  • yvette
    they. HAVE. to. *-*
yeah, i think i'll like it when they divide it into 2 parts.
but. it just has to be done!
BD is already so perfect, otherwise the series just wouldn't be complete. BD adds SO much, they cannot leave it out.

but yeah, i'll understand why they (don't) consider it. It has a lot of requirements.
  • Linda
Well, I think that if they are making a Breaking Dawn movie, they will play it from Bella's perspective.. So we don't get to see the birth scene.. Just like the fight scene in Twilight. I think that it would be more sucsessfull then, cause more people can see it then, and they'll make more money..
  • its not my bday-- kiss me
oh no they have to do the movie like i cant wait to see Bella as a vampire omg !!!!!!!
if that´s in the book who cares its part of the story they cant end at eclipse !!! little girls already saw it in their imagination and there's other violent movies out there so noooooooo they have to make the movie otherwise all of us will be so disappointing it would be like we didn't got our happy ending :( !!!!!!!!! i cant wait to see how they would do the wedding its like my favorite part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I think that Breaking Dawn turning film classification should be for people over 16 years .. because of the scenes of honey moon between Edward and Bella are very hot ... I hope to have the 4 movie.
  • Sarahsitas
Very hot? I thought it was tame. I don't know about anyone else, but I was hoping for something similar to the "hot" scene where Edward has her on the bed he bought for her. That mere paragraph was 56,723 times more hotter than the pathetic excuse for going out on a beach and essentially "swimming" with Edward. One can only hope they are a ton more descriptive in the movie.
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol i know wat u mean
  • pink
So now you have to be 16 to see hot scenes or sex scenes? I mean, everyone at my age have seen sex scenes in movies like a hundred times anyway...
I'm soon 15, and I don't have any problem with it. It would just be sad if it is only for people over 16, I have so many friens on my age who loves BD, and my little sister who is soon eleven. (Mature for her age)
It's not like we will be creeped out or something, if some parents worries then they should just don't let their children don't see the movie.

And I agree with Sarahsitas, it was tame. I almost hope they overplay it insted of tame it in the movie. I mean, they have waited for like forever, they are meant for eachoter, and all we get is some words. I was also hoping for something simliar to that, Sarahsitas.
  • i_am_Siobhan
I believe that they have to make BD!! they can't just stop at Eclipse... and as for the R rating....people will always find ways to go and see it..

Another more selfish reason I want BD made is that I want to try out for the part of Siobhan, one of the witnesses on the Cullen's side....so for that to happen BD has to happen!! :p

As many have said...make it two movies if you have to....but true fans will sit through a movie however long it is...with Lord of the Rings those were each about 3 hours and they did all day marathons with those movies....12 hours straight with only small breaks for food.

As for technology...it is always changing...and who knows where technology will be by the time they start filming.

It will be a huge fan let down if it isn't filmed...but if it isn't made now...I have a feeling someone will make it eventually...and sadly it won't be as good because it won't have the cast that we have come to love.
  • Some news you might be interesting to know.

For my website I'm in contact with the French distributor of the Twilight movies which is in partnership with Summit Entertainment and their really nice representative (M. Bardel) recently told me that Summit bought the right for Breaking Dawn.

Also, read in a very serious French cinema magazine (Studio Ciné live, issue special Twilight from April 09), Ashley Greene told in a interview that Summit is waiting to see New Moon's audience score to decide weither or not their making BD.

Contact me if you need to know anything more ;-)

uhhh i dont know why there saying that renesmee would be hard to do...ITS CALLED CGI... DUH... plus i wouldnt care if it was rated r or not if parents dont want there kids to see it then so what im sure there goin to find a way to see it anyway kids sneek into rated r movies all the time lol
  • TeamEDWARD#1
lol they can find a friends brother or sister they know wat they gotta do lol
  • Milan
I agree completely with the rating of R. If its lower and it doesn't have all the important scenes then it will take away from the movie. Maybe even ruin the movie. Let the parents take the younger fans to see it. When there older they will appreciate that the movie wasn't changed just for the younger generation.
When I was younger I couldn't watch The Labyrinth, But when I was older I was happy with the way it was made its a classic! David Bowie was so sexy in the movie!
  • TeamEDWARD#1
how cum u cudnt see the labyrinth???

I would advise you watch what you say on this site. It is a site meant for the FANS of these books and movies . . . watch yourself please.

I don't understand why its so hard to make BD, Lord of the rings was very digital, I mean there's so many ways they can do it. its 2009 . I wouldn't mind if they had to change it a bit as long as the movie is done. I would be more mad if they left it at Eclipse. Which I don't think they will. BD is my favorite,as the books mature so should the movies.
  • vikinglover76
I agree with you 110%. LOTR was difficult to make but they pulled it off marvelously! And if they team Chris and his brother to do the project . . . it would be killer.
  • Isabella1
They have to make BD - It would leave everything open and not finished! It would be like not filiming the last in the Harry Potter series!! It just wouldnt work! Breaking Dawn is my favourite out of all the books as Bella gets everything that she has longed for such a lng time and Jacob no longer stays on the outside hurting as he finds Renesmee!!! I have everything crossed that they make this film!!!!
  • Destined
Okay first off, if Breaking Dawn is made it will def be made into 2 parts. Stephanie said herself she would want it that way because it would be better for them to capture the book that way without leaving really important stuff out. With that, I do believe it will be Rated R if they show all the blood and gore and sex, unless they tone it down that's the only way it will be PG 13. Renesmee def could be done with CGI, but it will def be borderline between making it look authentic and not too fake. And to be quite honest, they would be doing Twilight fans a huge injustice by not doing the fourth movie. Eclipse leaves so many cliff hangers and it would not be right at all. You have the marriage of course and Jacob's departure. For all the Jake fans (including myself), that would really piss us off if we could not finally see him come back, take his rightful position, develop with Seth and Leah, and finally get his peace with Nessie. Then you have Bella finally turning immortal and discovering her unexplained gift so to speak, which is key to the ending. Not to mention all the cool witnesses we would get to see. I would personally love to see the Amazons and Stephan and Vladimir. And if you're wondering about Heidi making other appearances, not sure if she came with Jane, Felix, and Demetri in Eclipse, but she could most def be with the Volturi in Breaking Dawn as part of the guard because don't forget ALL of them came and she is a part of them. But to finish, yeah they have to make a Breaking Dawn.
  • I<3boyswhoSpArKLe!!!
i totally agree with you...and nessie would only have to be cgi for a portion they could cast a toddler or preschool age child and voice over.
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)

  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
Sorry my last comment wasn't meant for you it was for Awsha.
  • tijanabd
they will make it. they are just waiting to see how much new moon will earn so they can be sure..... but when they see how many crazy fans raedy to give 10000$ just to see it are there they will make it... its all about money for them... but twilight saga will earn houndrids of milinos all together... im sure of that. they will make it.... i hope........
  • Awsha

are you here to rag on people? it's kind of annoying.
  • twifan
i think we shouldn't worry about it right now. we have new moon and eclipse to look forward to. for right now i am not going to try and think of how they will make it because it is too complicated. Let's enjoy the new moon eclipse ride!
  • Awsha

If they make 3, they will make the 4th one. They may, however, as someone else suggested, film Breaking Dawn in two parts. Too long a story to tell in one movie.
  • Tiffany Stevens
Look I can careless what everyone else thinks or says. How could there no be a 4th or possible a fifth if she keeps the series going. Whats is so bad? Either way if they are looking from a money stand point trust me they will have made well enough by the time eclispe comes out to not even worry about what to make on breaking dawn. I honestly love it. While reading the books I can actually play out in my head as if it were a movie going on. He books have plots and action and love. Something that catches everyones attention. So if they are worried about people being burned out on it WHATEVER. I can't wait till "Midnight Sun" to come out, not that I expect that to be a movie of course but isn't anyone curious to see what happens next with Jacob, Renessme, and whatever becomes of Edward and Bella being hunted down again. I am because I am sick of tireless sexual comedies that have no plot, hiest movies that have pointlessly been made over again, and love struck triangles that never end. Come on people this is something that is just great and I hop they change their minds and make the forth movie because I want to see Bella in action, I want to see everything that I alread saw in my head. I want it all grasp together to make another master piece. Stephanie is truely an artist when it comes to this series. I never read not even in school. I read all book is in a 6 day period and was left wanting nothing but more. She has even inspired me to write a little of my own. I am telling you they neen the 4 the book like we need air. You can't just leave people hanging like that. Yeah tell them to read the book but not everyone has time. I can see the 4th book in 2 different movies only if there were the 6th book out to continue what becomes after. They have to make the 4th book into a movie.
  • Destined
I agree. I want Stephanie to do another book so badly, its drives me mad when I think about it. She has many ways to pick up with it if she wanted, but I know she is trying to get Midnight sun out, so I'll just hope and pray for now.
  • 30yearoldtwifan "Team Slade"
I wouldn't get your hopes up on midnight sun being in print any time soon. I just read on Stephine's website not that long ago that shes not doing much right now. Its very sad.
  • vikinglover76
It may be what her site says . . . but in the writing community it is known that she has it done but the publishers are waiting to print it for a while . . . giving the other books in the series a chance to sell, sell, sell. No fears . . . it'll be published, but it may not be until late 2010.
  • toietmoidanslememepyjama
I think they'll wait to see how NM is doing before they decide whether to do or not Breaking Dawn. That's why I'm so anxious about NM. It's been the least favorite book to lots of readers, it's a hard one to make into a movie, the general audience from Twilight (those who didn't read the book) will come back for the lovestory and the vampires and they'll get broken up and heartbroken lovers, so NM will be a huge challenge. It has to do great to make most people come back for Eclipse, so that they have the budget to shoot BD which would definitely cost a lot. With a right amount of money, they'll have no problem in making BD, digital work will help them create the scenes that cannot be filmed in the normal way or with normal people.

Anyway, they HAVE to make BD! Not only it's my favorite book but also it's like the previous books are the setup for the big confrontation and crowning moment. The whole Volturi vs vampires/werewolves!

I hope they make it into a movie. All the need to do is show the really important parts as far as the wedding, the honeymoon, the birth, Bella's transformation and maybe some of the story being told from jacob's point of view. And plus they don't need to show all the sex scene's just maybe the first night and the second time and even maybe the night they first stay in their cottage. I sure hope they make it into a movie it will be stupid if they don't.
  • traci
if it's a 3 hour movie...so what? or break it into 2 movies, as they did w/ the last Harry Potter book. either way...BD MUST be made. how can they just end the saga w/ Eclipse the Movie? you can't! and if it's rated R or PG-13...well....so be it. i can't imagine that SM would be too happy about only have 3 of her 4 books made into movies!
  • ChelleC
To condense time they could always just film BD from Bella's perspective and cut out the pages in the book from Jacobs perspective. Not sure I agree with this as I love the whole book but since the rest of the movies are from Bella's perspective only it may be the only option if Summit only wants to make 1 movie.
  • Destined
That would be stupid if they did that. One of the best parts of BD was Jacob's narration. I was glad when they switched it for awhile, not to mention it was funny as hell. I was tired of reading from Bella's view, too much indulgence of Edward and worrying for no reason, that's just my opinion. To save face, it would be better in a 2 part version.
  • Mrs Renesmee Black
I think Jacobs POV is important to the story. Shows him merging into their world which eventually he will be part of. It also shows him bonding with Edward.
  • tlaut66
ok, I have taken a VERY long time to read through all of the comments and this is what I have to say.

I love the twilight series. I have become very passionate about these books and to see the other 3 get made into movies would be very unfair. When eclipse ends, there are so many unanswered questions that only BD can answer. BD is not my favorite book but I think the series would be incomplete without it.

If they are waiting to see how well NM does to see whether they will do BD, i think thats silly. There are millions of fan sites about this series. They are going to make our BIG! they would lose a lot of money otherwise.

If they are making the movie, then we can get down the the lagistics. The length, the rating, Reenesme.

I am also an avid HP fan so i supported their decision to make 2 parts to the 7th book. Why can't they do the same thing with BD?
I think that Mrs. Meyer should be able to see the movie, therefore they need to make the movie PG-13. There are ways to make it not too steamy or violent.
Reenesme. it can be done. They will get a HUGE budget for BD so there is not reason to not be able to make this work.

It makes me sad to think that BD might not be a movie, but we have to prepare ourselves for the worst!
  • ThatsSoAlex
Tbh, It Needs To Be Made Into A Movie Really. I Can't See SM Being Too Happy With Only Three Of Her Books Being Made Into Films, And It Would Be Stupid To Stop At 'Eclipse'.
It Doesn't Matter How They Come Around It, BD Is An Amazing Book And Can Be Made Just As An Amazing Film Really. I Think Summit Just Need To Come At It The Right Way.
If They Can Do It Harry Potter (Which Are Just As Big Books And Is One Even Bigger?) Then They Can Do It With Breaking Dawn.
  • michno
Absolutely this movie should be made. Studios are about money, and this one, as well as the others, will be HUGE. I think they should make it one movie however, and it will be long. I think they could do it in a 3.5, but if they have to go longer so be it. I doubt people will leave the theater. Return of the King was 4.5 hours, and the theater was packed. They did an "intermission" which was a good idea. They just need to do this right. They could indeed cut down on Jacob's book, leaving the pertinent scenes. Somewhere in these movies, I want to see the Aston Martin on screen darnit!
  • TeamEDWARD#1
    lol i know right?
  • VolturiGurl
They have 2 make BD into a movie!! The really dont have 2 show allot at the birth scene as long as people know it is happening. The can CGI SOME parts of Renesmee like her teeth and face expression. Other than that the movie should be divided up into 2 parts like during Bella's transformation. The second part should be a month away from the first one too and the movies should be sold together.
  • isa
Am I the only one who thinks BD should NOT be made into a 2-parts movie?
One movie yes, but not 2 parts.... there just isn't enough movie-story there!

Think about it. If they did make 2 movies out of it, then the first movie would all be about Bella's creepy pregnancy and Edward soaking in guilt. That does NOT make a good movie. Sorry.

What they should do is gloss over the pregnancy, then show the gory birth, show the transformation, and then jump ahead to the Volturi storyline. Oh, and if BD is made into a movie, please please please, give me a real fight at then end. Thank you.
  • I couldn't agree with you more! I have NO idea why people think it should be two movies? Of course they should have the wedding, a VERY LONG honeymoon :), skim over pregnancy, Bella's transformation and then go into Volturi coming. Frankly, I wouldn't care if the movie was 4 hours long. They don't need to drag it out into two movies.
  • Jo
BD will be made into a film, just look at the fanbase it has all around the world, at the end of the day the movie makers make movies that will make money (sad but true), and with twilight having such a large fanbase from a money pov they would be stupid not to!

although i heard that the actors where only under contract for 3 films, so if they wanted to the actors could demand mega money for starring in BD, which the studio may not be willing to pay...so that could cause problems!
  • vamplover
YOU'RE RIGHT,CAROLYN, THERE HAS TO BE A WAY TO FINISH THIS STORY. THE CAN'T LEAVE YOU HANGING. I KNOW IT CAN BE DONE TASTEFULLY, BUT EXCITING AT THE SAME TIME. JUST HAS TO BE.
  • jules60
Don’t worry what they pay the actors is a drop in the bucket compared to what the studio will make. Not only will they make money at the box office both in the U.S. and in other countries, they will also make money on merchandise, the DVD’s, other books associated with the money, for example , making the movie type books. They will make money on anything associated with the movies. You are right they will make Breaking Dawn, Money talks.
  • twilightmon
I do believe that they will make Breaking Dawn into a movie. If you are reading the comments that all of the actors are making they are talking about making the 4th as well. They want to. They have all read the books and like them and they all have there favorite books just like we do. I don't think there will be a problem keeping it PG-13 because in the book there is only showing of the before and the after it makes your imagination run. My daughter is 12 and is now reading BD and I don't see anything wrong with it. I cried throughout all the books but BD is my favorite of the series. I don't see any problems making nessie with all the new technology thats out and I also think that this movie should definalty be 3 hours or so long. Leave as one long movie. There are things that can be left out in the movie or even just shown as a glance as to what is happening in Bella's thoughts. I also think that in order to do new moon and eclispe correct that they well need to be over 2 hours long also. Look at Lord of the rings and Harry potter they were not short movies and all the computer grapics that go into thosel
This is just my opinion but I don't think that we have to worry all the books will be made into movies and they well get better with each one and more money and bigger budgets come out of it.
I also think that some people are worried about Kristen doing the naked or sex scences remember she is 19 now and growing more mature by the day. Plus think about what money can buy? I don't think that she will have a problem with it.
  • jules60
Oh, I forgot to say, Twilight is gaining new fans every day. Twilight has fans from 10 through 70 years old, just think if most of those people go see New Moon, you know they are going to make a lot of money. Twilight has fans of all ages.
  • jules60

Im a 15 year old girl and if they make BD rated R i dont care they need to stick to the book as much as posible that is why we liked the book. They have to film BD because they cant finish it in Eclipse it would not make sence to make 3 out of the 4 movies and not make the ending one and if it is reated R wich i hope it is I snick to the movie theather LOL provably yes i would ask my parents but if they let me read it well yeah they are going to let me watch it i think im mature enough to c it and the bloody part i think i can handle its not like thatz the firts bloodly movie ive seen hahaha seriously and the sex scene or as u may also called it Honeymoon its not sooo graphic in the book i dont know if the movie will but watever IT NEEDS TO BE RATED R STICK TO THE BOOK AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ^_^
  • Dayana Pattinson
They better make the Breaking Dawn into a movie..Ill be bad firts Midnight sun!!!!!!! not completed..and now Breaking Dawn not into a movie..sorry this is bull shit...you have all this computer shit..if you have to change a bit who cares....make it into three part i dont care...just make it..it better be done or else im going to be piss...
  • Guest
they could do come on. if they stick to the major points of the book they could so do it. if they dont make a bd movie there woud be a cliff hanger. it is why they are making the 7 hp movie into two. they need to make one. i dont care if they have to make two movies for it. i really don't care i will wait for them if i have to. we have to wait for new moom then eclipse i could wait for breaking dawn.
  • Lyric
I don't care what it takes they HAVE to make breaking dawn. if they don't the story wont be finished and fans wont be happy. i know i wont.

i forgot that don't read everything you read. i still think they could do breaking dawn. it woulc be cliff hanger if they don't like i said in my lost post. but don't believe fox news they are liars need to stick with politics and economics. leave the entertainment business to tmz, just jared, periz hilton, e news, and the bloggers.

i'm an italian fan and i need to see breaking dawn..it is the final chapter..no matter if they do only one film or two films because the important thing is that let us to see the end of this story, wich is ultimately what we all expect..

They have to make this movie!!! And they have to make it right, including sex and blood, not some light version of BD. BD is not a childrens book. We are not so strict about ratings here in Europe. ;)

I really really hope they make the 4th movie aswell, split it into two movies if they have to, or just make one really long movie, I know there are enough fans that would go to a 6 hour movie, am I right?! ;)
  • TrulyDazzled
Split into two movies... 6 hour long movie... R rating (i'll be old enough to see it when it comes out anyways)... does not bother me at all! :)

I really do want Breaking Dawn to be a movie.. to me I think its just weird making 3/4 books into movies. it won't feel.. i dunno complete I guess.
as for the Renesmee issue... i'm sure they can think of something...
Im keeping my fingers crossed for Breaking Dawn.
  • Cullengirl
Breaking Dawn has to be made period, it was my favorite book, I want to see Bella as a vampire, Kristen is going to play a stripper in Welcome to the Rileys not to mention that Rob already got naked in Little Ashes, so nudity is no big deal to them.

They made Benjamin Button, they can make Nessie. If they made Watchmen, which some said unfilmable than can make Breaking Dawn, thank you and have a nice day
  • Nicole Cullen
    EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
best reason why i have read soooooooooo freaking far...[[execpt mine]] :))
    but for real...
there is no reason why they shouldnt...and they better have. Its the last book and it ties everything together in the end. EVERYONE wants to see what kristin/bella will look like as a NEW BORN vampire...and NESSIE is a HUGE part of the story and the link between edward/bella. and dont forget jacob..im and edward fan but jacob has a part in the last book...and it would be unfair to him and his fans if they leave that out of the movie saga...so i agree 100% that breaking dawn HAS to be made. POINT BLANK!
    rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    GO TEAM EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that Noot Seear, will be Leah Clearwater !!! But well, she doen't look a teenager, like Leah on the book... well... we should wait to see... anything is possible!!! And I hope BD be a movie too!It would be awesome!!

There is no way in hell Noot Sear is playing Leah. First off she is not Native American and she is too old looking and Leah has not been cast for New Moon. She will come in for Eclipse and hopefully Breaking Dawn.
  • BD!!<33
BD!! needs to be made into a movie!
thats my fave book and it so good! of course its going to be long the book is long and 3-4 hours who cares you will get so many ppl going to see it if it stays really close to the book! twilight was good but cut to many things out!!
And kristen is perfect for bell as a vamp they will just have to give her a make over! for the part.
Rated-R that sounds bout right you could probly go pg-13 though!
you have them having sex for the first time and then the birth most movies that have sex in em are still pg-13 and they have the bloody stuff with guns and shootin this is going to be important everything in BD is important because everything connects to one another its not immposible finding a baby the flim ppl have done so many things with movies these days and they r sayin it going to be hard with edward rippin bella stomach and the baby bittin her!! come on!!
i hope that this book gets made into a movie really badly!!!!
BD!! you cant just end it with the third book gotta do all four!!
  • Alice
if it was rated r still go see it even though under age who cares gd book gd film but yes i can see where they are coming from because like those scences will be hard to aintain aswell as those actors
but the my little pony that is wierd lol
but i think that they should make it just for the sake of no disappointment and the fact of completign the saga
  • teamRobPatz
    ohkay really..?
summit should definetly make breaking dawn into a movie! ohkay for the rating..who cares! make it R itll be a couple of years when it would be done and if fans are still under age they can sneak in cause you kno people do it..
and as for the matter of it being too long..make it into two movies!! theyr doing that with harry potter and the deathly hallows :D...which btw is gonna be awesome!
  • 30yearoldtwifan "Team Slade"
This is the only info I could ever find about BD being a movie.http://www.mahalo.com/Breaking_Dawn_Movie
  • meg91
okay these are the dumbest reasons not to make breaking dawn.
if it has to be rated r then what's the big issues. if people want to see it bad enough
they can drag there gaurdian to the movies to watch it with them.

and come on, really.. how hard can it be to find a child who can play this part.
if the child cant talk or whatever use computers to edit the film.
in the film baby geniuses they made the babies mouths move and gave them voices.
also the fact that in dr.dolittle they did the same with animals.
    its obviously not THAT hard.

and agree with what everyone is saying to make the movies into two seperate films.
thats fine. give the fans what they want. they cant complain about money with ALL that they are getting from the films success.

they need to stop making sorry excuses and make the freaken movie.
    we should totally riot!! lol

OH, C'MON!!! Please... they HAVE to make BD into a movie... we NEED this! Hello... it's not that Rated R-ish anyway... Stephenie wasn't very descriptive when it came to that stuff, the bloody birth could be somehow moderated into something not as crazy and visual, but leave its significance... C'mon... I could care LESS if they made it into a long a** movie or into separate movies just as long as they make it, PLEASE!!!

Okay, I'll stop whining now =]

lololol your pic is amazing and if you are in the twilight room in Forks I now know where the kiss marks came from haha they must not clean it often ewww :)
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
LMAO... thanks... well no I can't say that I've been in the Twilight room in Forks so those kiss marks did NOT come from me haha! I have two posters on my bedroom door and yea, that's where that picture came from... lol...

As far as Noot Seear is concerned...maybe she's not Heidi....maybe she's Tonya....Tonya would make appreances through out the next few movies. I don't know its just a thought.

they better make it movie there s going to be changes that we must see! its not totally impossible you can always split it into two movies too.
  • Joanna
theres no other way around it, we all know its impossible to stick to PG 13,
so its gonna have to be rated R and i dont mind that happening
and why stick it all into one movie?
make it fun for the twilight fans
and make 2 or 3 movies for breaking dawn...
that can be pretty cool. =)

more edward and jacob, that wouldnt hurt.=)

I know it's completely off topic but I REALLY like that horse figurine (I guess that's because I LOVE HORSES!) in the first picture.I think it's REALLY COOL looking because 1.It's a horse and 2.It has all the covers of the books on it.Where do you think I could get that?

To say that Breaking Dawn is gory is ridiculos, why do they make the Saw films or the Hostel disgusting flicks? I rather see a baby being born than someone getting tortured. As for the ratings. well the Notebook was PG-13 and they got away with a mighty racy scene.
It does not need to be two movies, you take away the dialqoue and add action than you could get three hours and half. Remenber the last Lord of the Rings, was long as heck.

As for Heidi being in Breaking Dawn make sense because The Volturi brought the whole guard and she is part of the guard.

If they make BD an R movie it wouldn't bother me at all because i ujnderstand that some parts of the book are gory such as renesmee's birth. I know that me and all my twlight-loving friends would still go see it.and also it just HAS to be made into a movie!!!! i dont care if it's 3 or 4 hours long i will still love it.twilight the movie didn't have alot of stuff that was in the book because they had to condense it and i get that but they just need to stick to the BD book and it will be awsome. Also if it does become a movie i cannot wait to the see the wedding scene!!!!!!

OMG i freakin hopethey make itinto amovie oneortwo who carsas long as it is on screen i just really hope it is not rite to leave us all fans just hanging we need the full series it will rock the book doesnt even describe sex scenes and rob doesnt have to bite kristen just like saying im gonna tear your stomach and then handing the baby to bella it doesnt have too be all showable if someone from summit is reading this please give it a chance you wont regret it thnx-

everyone will be outraged if breaking dawn in not made in to a movie cause the first 3 books all lead up to the 4th...there is no good stopping point like what you could do(if you had too) with harry potter or like the lord of the rings. secondly there is too much material in the fourth book for just one movie...even if the movie was a 3 hour movie... make it into two movies. ... yeah so maybe with the whole renessme situation it would have to be a rated-R movie but seriously if people let their kinds read the book and with how gruesome it was its not going stopto let their kids see the movie... even if the movie was only relaesed on DVD... thats better than not making the movie at all.
