what a nice husband she has........mine on the other hand thinks I need professional help w/ my obsession w/ it-haha! I tried to explain to mine there is just so much that resonates in the books/films w/ all different age brackets...so many underlying themes no wonder everyone loves it. First loves, eternal love, the struggle w/ good and evil, struggles w/ selfishness/selflessness. I know the actors think we are wack jobs that we are so nutty about the saga but they should be happy that they have touched us such a profound way!! Isn't that what movies are supposed to do..otherwise what's the point???

Amen girl! And my hubby is pretty sure that I need a padded room with this obsession. Hey...some women shop but I Twilight :) Whatever it takes right? lol

I think that's exciting and I'm envious. Not only is she getting possibly see the cast but she gets to see abeautiful part of North America. Lucky fans!! I think any travel is exciting especially if you get to see things / places you've never seen!

I flew from New Orleans to Seattle and then drove 3 hours to La Push just so I could stand on the beach, with no plans of seeing anyone famous. My motivation may have been Twilight but it was worth the whole trip just to get see that part of the U.S. I'd do it again in a heart beat and the return trip might actually be in the next couple of years!

Hold onto that thought, there might be something big being planned for next year, don't want to say too much now, but you might get to visit somewhere different in the US and I will be there as well!

I highly recommend you get the Morganville series, it's brilliant, I read the first chapter the other night and only went back to it yesterday, well at just after 4am this morning I finished it, hooked! Now I'm half way through book two! I'm going to have to invest in another book case at this rate because the other Blue Blood books arrived today as well. I'm coming down with books LOL

Ohhhh I'm intrigued!! My frined and I have been talking about our next adventure since before we left Seattle. She had a wedding and honeymoon to get done with and so now we're in talks again!!

I'm definitely going to look into them now! After I get the 9th Sookie book in a few weeks I will have to wait until October for the 10th so that's a good in between thing. I had to force myself to stop reading last night so I could finally get some friggin sleep.

Thanks for the tip. I too will need another book case soon. Actually I want to get that Kindle thing on Amazon and read everything digital. It's so pricey though. Something to think about I guess!

I too am envious! I have friends who are trying to talk me into a trip to Italy next month, but I don't think I can swing 2 trips in 1 year like that. We already have our trip planned to Forks and La Push for the festival that is held over the weekend of Bella's birthday! We are going to have so much fun!!! Just to be able to see that part of the country -- I've never been to Washington and to take in just the essence!

I had never been either and I enjoyed it very much. Make sure you stop by the Forks Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Center. All the ladies in there are so nice and they'll give you a little Twilight map and some trivia pages from all the books. Some of the questions are kind of tough - I thought I was a Twilight expert but they stumped me!

I am married to one of those men!!!!!! My husband found the information for us to go to the Stephenie Meyer Festival they hold in Forks over the weekend of Bella's birthday! He found us the lodge that my girlfriends and I are staying in, and bought my plane ticket without hesitation! He even smiled when I came home last night with my new Alice Cullen hair cut! He loves it!!!!!!

i would never seek the actors out, like going to the jackson's band's concert to see them. i would much rather randomly meet them (2% chance of that ever happening LOL). i feel like a lot of the time these actors can't even do 95% of the things we do normally because someone always wants a pic, autograph, or a hug...it's different if they are doing a promotional thing but if they just want to chill i think they should be left to hang out and do what they want.

I do truly like Rob Pattinson, and would LOVE to meet him one day, but deciding to go to Vancouver instead of her anniversary with her husband is a bit borderline for me. Rob and all celebrities definitely do need their privacy because they ARE normal people underneath just like the rest of us.
If she does get to meet Rob and the others, hopefully it will be out of her system. It's like when my husband buys a new xbox game. He plays that think non-stop for like two weeks, then he gets it out of his system. Same thing will happen with these celebrities over time.
I honestly can't say I blame her for wanting to go, but I wouldn't travel all that way either.

I agree. I would rather go to Forks/La Push if I were going to take a trip that big. I think the area is beautiful and the tribes intrigue me. Sure, I'd love to see anyone of these actors but I'm more curious to see for myself how this area inspired a whole Saga for Stephenie.

Definitely. Glad we are on the same page. Obsessing over seeing a celebrity is so exhausting. More times than most, people end up see someone famous when they aren't looking for them. Like when I met Paris Hilton and Nichole Richie when they were in Arkansas for the first Simple Life...I was working at the wal-mart in the town they were staying near, and ran into them (it was interesting, but not my most exciting celebrity encounter).
So if people are in the area where New Moon is filming, they shouldn't concern themselves with ONLY trying to see a celebrity, they should enjoy other things too. Good things come to those who wait :)

i think making a trip to La Push and Forks would be cool so we could get our heads better inside the book!!! making a cross country trip there is a vacation..while trekking to Canada for most of these people is purely to see the cast and can be stalker-esque(made up word lol)

that is a shame! i really love how stephenie researched when she made her book! i thought it was incredibly cool that Forks, LaPush, and the Quiluette tribe really exist! it makes everything come to life more!

A bunch of the girls who work for me and I want to go out there. I've never been west of Kansas (although I have been all over the east coast and south) and would love to see that part of the country! Maybe next summer or fall when Eclipse is slated to come out!

Firstly this lady had a hubby who won FREE airfare tickets, he was sweet enough to give it to her and a friend. I don't think she would have done this if it wasn't that the flight was free. Also I am sure they took the trek not expecting much but HOPING. I think we should lay off calling ppl stalkers just cos they go to Vancouver HOPING. I know what a stalker is like, I have had it happen to my own family. If she would start following Rob to his hotel ROOM door and knocking on it. Interrupt him wherever he was, calling the hotel with freaky messages etc yes that IS stalking.

Hopefully she and her friend will meet the cast somewhere neutral and that they do not bug them while they eat or just hang out wanting to be left alone.

Also yes if I had the money I'd go to Vancouver now too, I got several reasons for it though but hey yes I certainly won't hide the fact I'd run into some of the cast there. It would be fun but I'd never interrupt them. Also I would probably be too busy sightseeing with my Bon Jovi buddy who lives there lol. We got our own kinda Jovi history sightseeing to do in Vancouver (old story lol).

well...their only objective is to meet Rob. meaning that they'd have to track down where he is. meaning they'd have to ask around for any sightings, do some heavy research, drive around town. MEANING -- they're stalkers.

sure you can say it's "hoping," but they have one reason for going there: to see Rob.

So.....myself (being a Twilight Mom) and my sister (also a Twilight Mom) are psycho's because we're planning a trip to Italy next month? Hmm, never really thought of myself as that. We are using this excuse to take a trip of a lifetime....and not because it would be exciting to be a part of the magic that this movie would bring...but because we've never been abroad so why not stop wasting time in life and do it. Life is too short to sit by...at least it is for us...Psycho Twilight Moms!!

I'm in Vancouver right now for work (up here from Seattle) and I have yet to see anyone.
I'm staying in Yaletown, and went out last night- and still nothing!! I don't care where Rob was on Monday, but I would love to know where he is today! Rest of the cast too! It will be so disappointing if I leave, and wasn't able to see anyone.

Not so much interested in screaming for photos/autographs, but it would be nice to just see cast roaming around! Jeeze, is that too much to ask!

Good for them! If could do it, I surely would. I wouldn't even care if I encountered any of the actors. I'd just want to see them actually filming...ya know the behind the scenes kinda thing. That experience would definitely become a part of one's soul. Of course, meeting an actor would just be the cherry on top :D
