But, the most important thing is the writing! If the dialog and scenerios are not right - if they stray too far from the book and if the lines are crappy- then NM will be no better than Twilight regardless o who's in it. With all that said, I hope its awesome, and worth my money to go see or heads-will-role!!!

I agree. The actors will look like idiots again if MR didn't get the screenplay right. GAH! She better have done a good job with this . . . I know Chris made her re-write some things a couple of times.

Honestly my fear is that Bella/Kristen won't be right in the movie.
That's really my main concern, because if the viewers don't feel what Bella is feeling and if we don't feel completely miserable with her I feel that it will all be pointless!

I'm not bashing K-Stew, but I think she can handle depressed and misserable, she looks that way most of the time, and she's not even acting. LOL

I'm sure she will. But its not just her, it will also be the directors job to make sure she portrays what he wants to see. In Twilight, Catherine didnt do that with either of the main Characters. I love my Rob more than anything, he's my everything, but, there were scenes in Twilight that he did not deliver right and Catherine is to blame for that as well.

I felt like Twilight didn't show the lightheartedness and laughter and just love between Bella and Edward. Everyone said they had chemistry, but honestly I didn't see any of it. But I think that was mostly the screenplay.
But Rob definately didn't perfect the part in Twilight, but I think he will in New Moon

When I initially watched Twilight, i did not see any chemistry at all. Now that i have the dvd, i see a little, not much. But I'm sure my little spunk will "bring it" in NM, it is his favorite book. :)

i don't think 2 hours was enough, i thought the chemistry was good between them but there wasn't enough scenes with them getting to know each other so it felt knd of rushed

Come on! Give Catherine some credit. I mean - it's not easy to make a book adaptation. And she had only like 44 days of shooting, limited budget and all those weather problems. I can't imagine Twilight could be any better. I love the movie even more than the book. The movie had one truly important thing for me - it had an atmosphere. I am afraid, that the New Moon won't have the proper atmosphere, I mean - have you seen The Golden Compass? No atmosphere...at least for me.

are you kidding me, you like the movie more than the book? which one you see first? there is no way that the movie was better, and the weather problems, if you read the book you would see that it is the main point,, the weather was never good, and she even put vampires out in a sunny day... so many mistakes i can't even begin to say.

Ditto. Movie was only bearable for bringing some iconic scenes to life, like baseball game. Come on, the vamps were EATING at the Cullen table! Bad line deliveries, no character development (compared to the book), and terrible over all. I love the books, but Twilight the movie wasn't worth the $4 rental. Michael Sheen will get me to see New Moon, regardless.

true, the baseball scene was my fav. in the movie not in the book(because they destroy the meadow scene which was my fav. in the book), that is why i borrow the movie from the library, it was free, i already had to pay 12.50 for it in the movie theater.

Totaly agree! i hadn't ever heard of twilight when i saw the film, and so it was the film i fell in love with. But now i have read all the books! I do prefer the books, but thats because you feel more closer to the characters. But yeah, i love the film and i think Catherine did a great job :) There were a few mistakes, but if it wasnt for her we wouldnt have Rob as Edward, we would have some guy who is stuck up his own @ss. Go Catherine!! :)

Actually, Kristen chose Rob, not Catherine. Catherine had 3 choices including Rob, Kristen chose Rob because he 'clicked" better than the others with her.

Yes Catherine had alot to deal with when shooting Twilight, but yes, I CAN imagine Twilight being better than it came out. While you might have liked the atmosphere of Twilight, i didnt, and based on the commentary - words from her own mouth - make me believe that she was more concerned with things that didnt really matter in the making of Twilight. I dont dislike Catherine, let me clarify: I think she's a sweat heart and obviously pleasant to work wtith. I also like the fact that she gave the actors opportunities to express themselves. But, I couldnt have cared less if Victoria was wearing a bra or her victims t-shirt, I didnt even notice the armadillo in the biology class or the wolf pic on bella's wall...come on, she spent time on those MINOR details, but almost FORGET the meadow scene?! That didnt and still dont make sense to me. Hence, the result of Twilight.

i think that kristin will do good if they dont direct her too much, i felt like in twilight they didnt give her a chance to play bella they just told her what to do and how to do it. i want them to give her a little more freedom because i think she could do a good job in this movie.

i loved rob in twilight, he was my fave. i hadnt read the book at the time, and when it was over, i felt like there was something missing so i read the book and of course its better. twilight was good but not good enough for me,

I think Kristen will do good with being miserable.. she does seem to put that off in regular interviews and pics sometimes.

And that's not a bash at all; some people aren't huge smilers and sometimes come across as sourpusses (don't know her obviously so guessing here). I don't fault her that.. considering I'm someone who doesn't smile constantly. And people don't always smile hugely either.. I'm generally a closed-lip smiler. Anyway, know she can smile.. seen it in pics. Just hope they have that in New Moon. When she's with Jake (especially in the beginning), she's kinda silly and smiling with him a lot. I hope they do that right.

When I was reading the book I envisioned her looking like absolute crap because that is what depressed people look like after all. Let's hope that even if they don't get the look down, KStew will at least be able to get the right emotion across.

Ditto. I am worried she wont be able to pull off the break-up scene. I mean did you see how she reacted when they brought it up in the ET thing? She looked totally freaked. I have faith in her though. I think she will find some way to pull it out. If not...I am sure she is not going to hear the end of it.

I hope so! The breakup scene is such a HUGE part, it's my biggest fear honestly. I think that Rob will do a great job in the movie. I'm not saying that because I'm a Ron fan, because I'm not, but I think that he will play the gloom and doom well.

Like you...I think Rob will do fine. From what I can tell...he can play the "emo" kid pretty well. All he has to do is pull that painful look he gave Bella in the hospital and my heart goes out to him. I just need this scene to be perfect (or at least as close as possible). I felt like this is the equivalent to the meadow scene in Twilight and that didnt get justice in the movie.

but admit the hard part to portray is kristen's, i mean rob can put his poker face, like he didn't like her and wasn't feeling anything but kristen she had to be suffering, devastated.

i actually hope that they show a bit of edward's suffering as he turns to leave bella in the woods. i want to see where it is hard for him.

You never seen a Kristen Stewart movie? ever seen Speak? or even In the Land of Women? or even the Cake Eaters? This girl can do heartbreak like no other, it's because of her, I actually became a Bella fan.

I saw In the Land of Women...and I wasnt blown away. I mean...I am not trying to start an argument or anything. I am just stating that I hope she can pull it off. It will take a lot of raw emotion and needs to be done well. I want to see her in a catatonic state and not look like she is just staring trying not to blink or something. Like I said earlier...I have faith she can pull it off. The only thing we can do is wait and see if the preview shows us any indication of what she is capable of in this movie...and if that doesnt settle anything...we will just have to wait for November.

Well, if she looked that freaked out in the interview, she can pull that emotion for the scene, maybe think of the mob with pitch forks following her if she can't portray Bella's feelings... just kidding... Very true! The biggest downfall in Twilight was the screenwriting IMO. Although, what I've seen so far on the little clips we're getting it seems better. I guess we'll have to wait until the movie is released to know for sure.

I agree.. it was more the screenwriting. Just wanted to clarify that, since I made a rather large post about what annoyed me. I think Catherine did rather well with what she was working with and she did obviously care about the project. Always a plus. Plus, she gave a feel of intimacy with it for reasons I can't really explain.. wasn't sure if I'd get that with the others, because it'll have more CGI which might lessen that. I still think Chris can pull it off, though.

i totally agree on this, i thought that the dialog was lacking in twilight. the actors did their best with what they had to work with, but there are only so many ways to say....i dont know "toast and jelly" ( i'm eating breakfast can you tell) before the words dont sound right. the books are very dialog filled, it was rediclous how much of that was cut for time (or whatever) so that instead of the indepth conversations that they had, we got snippits and one liners...not cool! be script has to be better!

You are 100% on target. The script was a disgrace to the book. They cut and spliced scenes together and rearranged the order till it made no sense. I wish they could redo the movie and add in all the scenes from school (blood typing, lunch table, ride home, asking questions, movie in biology, walk to gym) that made the relationship grow and mature. They left me wondering how they came to love each other in the movie. I think the director was more focused on her "dreamy" feel. A lot of the humor was left out of the movie. I am hoping and praying that they don't repeat that folly with New Moon!

Nice to see people feel the same about some of the things in Twilight that could've been better. Like why did they have Charlie and Bella in the cafe for dinner when Bella cooked dinner at home? That's not time-consuming. And it would've eliminated the cheesy waitress and Whalen or whatever.. they could've used him as a non-talking townsmember that gets killed. Don't know why they need Charlie depressed over it when Harry is the one who he gets depressed over.

M.R. could've had some more dialogue from the book. I know it can't be real easy to transcribe a book to screenplay (especially a popular one with lots of info), but more of the snappy dialogue would've been an improvement. Like how Edward and Bella sniped at each other. Was rather funny. Also, as for the kiss... should've extended the meadow scene and had it where it belonged. They kiss more in the book anyway, so they could've kept the bedroom one, too, but extended it to include the next morning. That was good dialogue.. liked how edward told her her hair was like a haystack, but that he liked it. Plus, it would've shown some of the happiness that was a little more rare with Bella.

The field trip was dumb. Could've kept the same conversation but with them in the nurses office after the blood-typing incident. That would've made a hell of a lot more sense and would've been a better scene all together. There were a few other things, like they didn't even have Bella TRY to figure out a way to leave the hotel without Alice seeing her.. she just walked out the door like she could.

There were a lot of little things, too, like Bella kicking the guy in Port Angeles.. Bella's strength isn't physical - her strengths include forgiveness, trying to protect the ones she loves, etc etc. That's what should be focused on. Also, her non-fear of Edward in the movie (she DID fear him a little at times!), the clothes, the way they made Angela more outgoing when she's not, the guy as Eric (who knew he seemed kinda gay? and I hate hate the word chillax NO just NO), and I expected Rosalie to be scarier, not just *itchy. Wanted more of a convo between Bella and Jacob at the beach, too.

Sounds like I hated the movie, but I really didn't. haha. They should hire some fans to critique the script for the rest of the movies.

Anyway.. hopefully Chris kicks M.R.'s butt and makes her do it right. I have faith in him; not sure about her.

I totally agree with everything you said about the movie, although I love the movie, to me it is really way off from the book, they left out so much important little details....I just feel the she just scanned through bits and pieces of the book, and added it where she wanted, and pretty much wrote the way she wanted too.... I agree I didnt understand what was up with the whole eating at the diner... Like I say I think she just scanned through the book.... Someone should have told her different... I really hope NM follows more of the book, I think it should be longer than two hours, and if they go by the book, it will have to be... From what I have read, they are changing how Bella saves Edward???? Don't really see how they can change that... But like everyone says, guess we will have to wait to Nov when it comes out... I just really hope they don't screw this up... From what I hear, it's better to have Chris as the director, because Catherine was not gonna have much of Edward at all...

The only thing that amused me about the diner was when Mike was doing his butt-shaking dance for her. haha. Kristen's expression cracked me up.

I actually just (finally) saw the movie for the first time after "you-tubing" little snips until my husband got me the movie for my birthday (accidentally got the Amazon email and had to pretend I didn't see it for weeks!! ARggh)

But I hate to say I was really disappointed in the movie script to an extent. It seemed really disjointed (like a bunch of youtube scenes put together) and although I mean absolutely no ill-will to anyone who worked on the project,
I was really disappointed in a lot of the dialogue- some was just fine, but most of it really didn't seem to reflect the character's personalities well and, as you said, seemed to leave out the humor/quirks that made the people so likeable. The words coming out of people's mouths were sort of like a really bad summary of the general emotion that was supposed to be going on.

I agree with the girl somewhere (sorry, can't find) who said that her friend who hadn't read the book was somewhat lost. I think the main draw to the movie, over the book, was really just the eye candy and some of the beautiful shots.

STILL worth watching, but mostly for the hot visuals, not b/c of the "great" sstory or clever dialogue. Sorry if I've offended anyone. Just my view. I love the book.

Honestly the hospital scene when Bella woke up and she was "trying" to tell Edward not to leave her was very upsetting for me!!!! Didn't like how Kirsten acted. I really hope she acts better in NM,afterall she is the main character of the movie.*Crossing fingers and toes*

I wonder if it's just hard to work (as an actor) with a script that really is just paring down a really huge book. I didn't mind Kristen so much at all. I think little expressions she had were just beautiful- like the eyebrows raised during the fan scene, etc. I think certain lines just left so much to say, for instance the kissing scene when Edward says, "I can never lose control with you...." and I just thought, "ACKKK! I wish they could have just been less general - like an explanation that if he just thoughtlessly brushes her cheekbone he could shatter her face, (like it said in the book)...



I'm personally curious to see Taylor Lautner's acting range- he's so chipper and friendly, I'm interested to see how well he plays edgy and angry.

If Kristen acts all "WHAT? n-n-n-no! w-what are you saying. n nooo" in the break up scene like she did in the hospital then i will most likely walk out of the theater. agh. i really hope she stops the studdering and head shaking

right, i saw that too. but i thought kristen said there was so much to say but all that came out was her studdering? i don't remember, but melissa rosenberg needs to write full dialouge and not half-arse it.

I tolerated that one, though I think she should've used actual sentences. But I can understand disjointed when you want to say something quickly and can't get it all out.

But this reminded me of another peeve.. when Edward saved her from being crushed. I liked it; it was mostly well-done, except for the fact that it did NOT look like she hit her head or hurt *anything* They could've made it look more realistic and like she really hurt herself.. that way when Carlisle examines her I don't have to snort like, "yeah right she's fine nothing happened." And they could've added her stumbling after getting off the bed and Carlisle catching her.

I completely agree w/you. I took a friend w/me who hadn't read the book and she was confused throughout the whole movie, and I found myself having to explain things to her quietly so she could have some idea of what was going on. Like why Edward looked like he was going to throw up when she walked into the classroom and things such as that. I find myself also wishing they could just re-do the movie and add in all the important things that were left out.

I saw the movie first in the theatre, then on DVD, then read the book. LOVED the movie--totally felt the connection and chemistry--then loved the books even more. Everyone who read the books first was destined for a let down to an extent, but mainly because its impossible to make a fabulous book better in movie form...never been done. Of course, I'll have to remind myself of this before New Moon!

couldnt agree more...if anyone has watched some of the making of twilight it was in my opinion very very disorganized and Cathrine even planned on jacob and bella meeting down on the beach but the conditions were bad....they should have had a back up plan instead of just using a random surfers van for them to sit in and do the scene....but thats just one example.

and the dialog i pray will not let us down!

I completely agree with you. If the dialogues are sucky, then there's no saving New Moon. The dialogues in Twilight were sort of awkward and focused. But I still liked it because I'm a Twilight fan all the way. No matter what's going to happen I'll support it 110%. I just hope the dialogues flow better and seem a bit more believable.

Personally I can't wait to see Jacob and Bellas relationship blossom.

I am a huge Edward/Cullen fan but I fell in love with Jacob in this book...but in a different way to Edward.

They have to portray this in the film so you can truly understand what Bella is going through when she is around Jacob and how he makes her feel. I was strongly against showing too much Edward in this film coz the viewer won't miss him as much.

I felt my feelings totally split while reading New Moon...I was starting to fall for Jacob yet still wishing for Edward to come back. I still have a soft spot for Jacob but him and Bella were never meant to be.

I felt the same way. I Am absolutely in love with Edwards character, but I found myself loving Jacob too, and felt really sorry for him throughout the series. It's like the Love triagle in the movie "SWEET HOME ALABAMA" Both the guys were so sweet and you wanted her to be with both of them.

They bring up some valid points.. The stars that are attracted to this has to say something for the script.. Even if it won't be true to the book.. Listening to Rob talk about a dark side being revealed in this movie isn't exactly pare on.. But doesn't mean it won't be interesting to watch. So long as they keep the main scenes and the essence of the book is not lost; I won't have any major issues.. Hopefully a step up from the Twilight movie. I wasn't a pack fan.. But I have to say there is some mighty fine looking dudes there. Don't even get me started on the Volturi!!! Yeap!! I'm ready for the movie!!

I remember I when I first started thinking about this book being a movie I was nervous. Not to the fact that they had a lot to pull of...but that I didnt know how the "non-Twihards" would like it. I mean to me New Moon was my least favorite out of the series. It was just a really depressing book and I was worried that the fan base (that wasnt faithful) would drop off and then Eclipse wouldnt be made. However...now I see everything is being taken care of properly and I just cant wait for November to come fast enough to see this movie. I hope it does as well as Twilight...if not better.

Eclipse was my least favorite book.
I don't really know why.
I think for me it was just because I felt like there was no purpose when I was reading it for the first time.

I loved eclipse thats my favorite out the saga. The love triangle just got so more intense and there are some cracker lines from Jacob...like the tent scene.

I dont hate the wolf pack...I honestly think my favorite character is Alice...I just love her =D. From what I have told my boyfriend...he doesnt like New Moon (he isnt exactly interested in the series at all...but that is besides the point =P). Although he said he knows how much it means to me...so he is going to see all the movies with me...but only once =P.

I love the break up scene. That may sound awful...but I felt so much emotion during that scene. I hope they do it justice (the writer and the actors). Its such a pinpoint scene that it needs to be done properly. I felt they flopped the Meadow scene in Twilight...I just hope it doesnt happen again.

I may be one of the few...but I liked Twilight. I mean I didnt sit there and take it to a microscope to see what they did wrong or anything. I really enjoyed it. However I was disappointed that they didnt do the blood typing scene and the meadow one (at least better that is).

I didnt like how they didnt go in depth with Jasper at all. For someone who hasnt read the books...they wouldnt know he had a "power" and that really irked me. He used it in the book but they didnt even bother with it.

the movie should have been longer, 2 hours isn't enough to fit everyhting in, they should have cut out the biology trip and had the blood typing scene instead

i totally agree. the battle is what i was looking forward to. it was like all this build up and then nothing happend! :\ i would have liked to have seen a vampire war get out of control.... and the abilities did get over used. Let me not even get started on my Breaking Dawn Soapbox, because I won't be stopping for a while (I already had this HUGE conversation) but I guess also thought the "battle that never happened" was a bit anticlimactic and I agree- maybe it's because I"m a little older and wiser than when I used to read these books, but I felt that everything came too "easily" In real life, sacrifices have to made and you don't always get your way

AND the IMPRINTING on Renesmee thing, although I know it was supposed to be so sweet and Jacob's finally getting a "victory" in the love department but it just didn't do it for me. WAAAY TOO EASY! It was like this guy just fighting it out and being there for the girl who didn't want him and then "wham" an instinct kicked in and suddenly his world was filled with meaning and all the past no longer mattered.

I wanted to see someone fight for him as hard as he fought for Bella. and, I know I said this somewhere already, but as a woman, I think that it would be more valuable to me that someone had a CHOICE to like other people but CHOSE me, rather than an instinct just kicking in and he being fixated on me forever and ever...(as great as it sounds that there'd be no competition for attention...)

Ya know half the time I thought he is gonna imprint on Leah... or even fall in love with her... coz he doesn't believe in imprinting!!!

the main events were too easy cheesy -- it Definitely lacked sacrifice. Breaking Dawn could have been much better. I think Stephenie made it toooo fantasy fantasy... if you know what i mean.

Leah just sort of disappeared off the map after the "battle", also. But, again, really don't want to bash Stephenie Meyer as I love her.... I guess it's a compliment to her that I was dying for more details.



I do agree with the Bella thing too- not only does she become a vamp. but she just happens to be more beautiful, self-controlled, and multi-talented all at once (now, why couldn't that happen to us in real life? I'm waiting for my fairy-wolf-mother to appear and wave a magic stick)

As you can see from my name that I am one of the "older" fans lol
I wanted to say that I feel that they are going to have to be very careful with this movie. The book was an amazing chapter in Bella's life. They need to stick true to the book or they are going to lose so much in translation. No more of the "random" thoughts thrown in and strange directions like Twilight took. I feel one of the biggest mistakes they made in Twilight was going off in their own direction with some of the key points in the book and turning them around in such a way you were left thinking WTF??? Am I making sense or do I need another pot of coffee this morning lol

New Moon was my least favorite, too. I felt like I had been dumped! haha. Especially those 4 pages that only have the month on them. Ouch! I'm also one of the "older" fans- and I agree that people who have NOT read the Twilight series would have left the theater confused after watching the movie.

My best friend hadn't read the books before she watched the movie and she left the theater and called me and she said "Deb what the hell is the big deal...ok yeah Robert is hot as hell but I mean the story line it sucked" I told her you HAVE to read the books...the love story is so addicting...I mean come on they never said I LOVE YOU in the movie.

My boyfriend's sister told me about it and to read the books, I never had time. So, I saw the movie first, thought it was romantic, then I read the books. The book twilight was a lil too light for me, I liked the movie better, but that was just me. I think the director did great in capturing the passion between ec and bs, I'm assuming they left out the line for that purpose. There was no need to say it, it was evident, or it was suppose to be. (Just my take.)

I love we will get to see a Dark Edward, not sure if anyone has read the first chapter of MS, Edward was far from perfect in his thoughts when he first meets Bella, he is not only planning her death but those of her classmates, so Edward is not a goody too shoes, and I love the fact that we will see him rather than hear him, come on admit, who here didn't picture Eddie standing next to Bella like the movie "Ghost" it all make sense when Eddie say he left part of himself behind.

Lets cut Catherine some slack, we all know that movies to due detours from books, they even asked Stephenie if she wouldn't mind the changes she said no. In defense of CH, they had very little money and no time. I did like the idea of seeing the nomads before arriving in the baseball field, the thing is that they did it poorly they could had balanced the romance with the suspense and believe it or not there are non readers who actually liked the movie.

So she did something right and hey remenber we should be thankful that these movies are being made, as long as the essence of the story does not get lost, as long as we don't see Edward break dancing, the rest is all good.

I think they need to stick to the book (saw the movie and that got me into the books, but I realized that they left out so much meat of the story). The birthday party, the woods break up scene, Sam finding her, her on auto pilot for a few months, the voice, the motorcycles, her and Jacob bantering (especially the age war) and him noticing her pain, the movie, the attack in the meadow, Jacob saying goodbye and Billy telling her to go home, Jacob in her room & her dream, the cliff jump, Alice reunion, the almost kiss, the flight to Italy, the drive, the run to the clock tower, his reaction, the underground and Aro scene, the trip back to Forks, the bedroom wake up, the epiphany in the woods, the dining room Cullen discussion, Edward's proposal. MUST HAVES... these scenes are what makes New Moon what it is. They are paramount to the plot. I really hope the Execs don't screw this up like the Potter Execs.... The reason so many people are fans of Twilight is because of the books. PLEASE KEEP THE INTEGRITY OF THE BOOKS! I will say this: if they wanted to "add" to the books, I am not opposed to the "ghostly" images of Edward along with his voice. I will also say that from a readers' point of view, I would love to see how Edward was doing while Bella was suffering. If they showed images of his suffering and tracking Victoria when Edward describes his time to Bella when she wakes up from returning to Italy. That would be very interesting to see.

My favorite book is Breaking Dawn, Twilight, Eclipse, and New Moon. I heard they are sticking to the book as close as they possibly can. I am and always will be an Edward fan. My favorite characters are Edward, Alice, all the Cullen’s, and Seth is my favorite wolf. Good for Chris to make Melissa rewrite something’s, so that’s a good sign.

There is so MUCH potential for New Moon to be so MUCH better than Twilight...and I hope that Chris and Melissa realizes this and therefore will make New Moon as wonderful as the book! There are so MANY wonderful parts of the book to look forward to...and I hope they don't cut any of it out. They really really need to stay true to the book! I also hope they kind of include parts that were missing in Twilight (like Carlisle's story and Edward and Bella's deep love). I am just SO excited and wish it was November already!!!!

J/K there are awesome additions added to this cast and I am so stoked that we have recv'd the hints that we will get more Rob than we had expected. JUST having his voice would be stupid so you have to stray fr/ the book fr/ that perspective. Oh, I wish they would have a raunchy sex ghost sex scene...ahhhhh!! I know that wouldn't be keeping w/ the book but a girl can dream and it would be oh so HOLLYWOOD. ROB, PLEASE put out something that's R SO we can see a little raunch and that red hot tush!!

Call it intuition, but I'm going with my gut on this. Chris Wietz is going to surprise ALL of us on just how this good this movie is going to be. From the adaption of the book, to the incredible visual effects with the wolves, to knock-out performances from Rob, Kristen & the rest of the amazing cast, this movie is going to go off the charts. MARK MY WORDS....not only will it blow Twilight outta the water with $$$, but it will surpass all our expectations we've ever had for New Moon.

1) They really need to keep to the book and not take out scenes that are vital to the plot simply for the sake of time or wanting use up more time to beef up the special effects scenes.
2) The actors need to really put their whole self into the project (kudos to Taylor for already doing that) and Kristen needs to show the fans that she is committed to Bella the same way the millions of fans are.
3) The Execs must realize that the majority of the fan base is female, from 12 to 85 years old and that our concern is the integrity of the book and the relationships, not how much blood and scary special effects that they can afford to put into the movie. We are not 18 to 24 year old males here.
4) Most importantly, the screenwriters must get this right. If they screw up again, I am not sure the fan base will be able to stomach another disappointment, as much as we would love to see Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. (Don't get me started on keeping with the integrity of those books.... gesh!)

I am terrified that the Execs are looking for the big cash in, the "blockbuster" and not the integrity of the book. I don't care about effects (and as a sci-fi nut, that's saying something). I care that they portray the book and the characters the way they are, not in a way that will leave us demanding a refund.

So true! im not sure if the movie will do the book justice. i mean the book has an overall dark vibe which the director and producers seem to want to amp up, but they really need to remember their target audience. i agree that if they screw up this movie as well, then the fans wont be as willing to give their support to the movie adaptations of the book series we all know and love.

You're right, it does have a darker vibe. But all they talk about is more special effects this time, Edward is like a demon.... yikes. That's not what is part of New Moon. The effects should enhance the story, not be the focus. You don't want to sit there in the theatre and comment about the effects, you want to be sucked into the movie. Stephenie Meyer gave so much of herself in these pieces of great literature, we need to respect that, respect her. These characters are already defined. We don't need someone else coming in and redefining them for us.

But I also agree with you, the screenplay was so disjointed and distorted that the viewers who had not read the book had no idea of what was really going on. I will say this till I am blue in the face, the Execs must keep to the book, respect the integrity of the books and not redefine the characters or focus on pumping the movie with special effects. We are fans because of the characters and the relationships. We are not teenage/young guys who are bent on seeing how much gore and distruction and "cool" effects they can stuff into the movie. I really hope that someone connected to the making of the film is reading these comments. Please keep to the book! Please honor Stephenie's work!

The good guys and the bad guys, but I do find the Pack fasinating I actually love the bone fire scene in that book where they talk about the Spirit Warriors, I'm dying to see how they do that.

Question/Theory about New MOon and the rest of the series. They never cast anyone as LEah that I have heard and in order to make it Movie friendly...I wonder if they are going to Skip the whole thought of IMPRINTING? That would make BD more doable if they don't imply that Jacob imprinted on Renesme. By not casting LEAH they can totally skip over explaining the whole EMILY/Sam thing.....which leaves the rest of the movie freed up from this hard to adapt to the screen thing....what do you think?

RE the article: As long as the key emotions are played out nicely, it should be a good movie.... (Bella's devastation, Edward's reassurance at the end that he will always love her -- NOTE TO ROB: YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY SHOW YOURE IN LOVE. DON'T BROOD SO MUCH LIKE YOU DID IN TWILIGHT).
