French New Moon Contest: Win a Trip to Italy Set

If you live in France, you have a chance to win a trip of a lifetime to the set of New Moon in Italy. What’s interesting about this for us folks outside of France is that the tentative dates listed for travel are May 26th–29th–more or less confirming at least part of the dates for the New Moon shoot in Italy.

Interestingly, the traveller will stay in the Hotel Baglioni in Florence, with promise of travel to wherever the shoot is taking place. Does this mean some scenes will be filmed in Florence? Or is the travel from Florence to Montepulciano–about an hour and a half drive away?

France is the first in the world to see New Moon–on November 18th, and now this! Jeez, Paris is sounding mighty find right about now…

Ya they already had the North American contest to win a trip to the Vancouver set but i really doubt i won :(
but i do live in Vancouver! and ive been to the set and saw Victoria but even better i stalked down Robert Pattinsons hotel and waited for about 3 hours and i luckily ran into him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i gotta take a picture with him and he was sooo sweet!!!!!!!!! I practically almost fainted and he asked if i was all right it was kinda funny

Summit released that they would be filming in Tuscany, Italy. Thats not so far from Florance..
So before something is posted you should read other news first i think...

I don't think you need to live in france to enter the contest, I'm from Montreal Quebec and I just enter. But you know what I saw everyone comment about how it is unfair, let me tell you what unfair, Living in the province of Quebec is unfair because we don't get any chance to win any of these contest because of some laws that make it to damn complicated to included us. We don't get any Premieres, we have to go to toronto for that and even so they don't come here, they are filming most of it in Vancoucer but still no Premieres for us... There always special thing that are exclusive for America but not for us. That just pissed me of!

ANYWAY got my parents convinced to go in two weeks to "Tuscany" and Montepulciano..
.and going back anyway in end of May begining June (Thats when they are shooting :D)

Now i wished that I lived in France!!! do you know if anybody in europe have the opportunity to wisit the set or do things like that?

I think that the movie will be released in france first is just wrong...but I can be happy that the movie also have the same released date like US. 11.20.09.

I'm just jealous that whoever wins gets to go on set while they are filming. I live in Canada and I could fly to Vancouver, but if I went to the set I would have to deal with security guards and screaming tweens. Just for info, all French kids learn at least 2 languages mainly a choice between English, Italian, German and Spanish, they can also take on Latin.

As for the contest, why begrudge the french fans a choice that they have no say in?

Indeed. We learn Chinese, Japanese and even Turkish in some highschools !
Frenchs are open-minded people, we love languages & we all learn English at school during seven years at least ( & even more in college ), so the language is just a detail for this kind of contest !

Besides the contest the release for the movie it had to be a Deal with France for the filming. This is an American movie being released in France instead of USA first? If that doesn't sound wrong I don't know what does. It would make sense that the filming will be in France because it would be cheaper(and obviously a deal was made). Or the cast hotels will be in France because it would be cheaper to keep them there. On the other hand it would suck to drive and hour and a half to get to your hotel after filming. Besides don't you have to be on set at a moments call? Hmm very interesting sounds like there changing location for money or security reasons.

No, you got this all wrong!
Films always come out on Wednesdays in France, that's why we get New moon on Wednesday 18 november instead of Friday 20th, no deals on at all.

No filming going on in france either, where did you get that idea from ?
The competition is organised by MSN France, just for one winner to go to Italy on set for a three day trip. The rules are very clear too, if ever the timing changes for filming, it'll be tough luck for the winner, who'll get the trip without ever getting on set.

i totally get Laura's answer, In France, we already had to wait till January to get Twilight at the cinema, long wait.... the DVD too we'll be waiting till July, (though i've already got the English Special 2DVD edition) why should us Frenchies always have to wait so long ? For once, we're having a bit of luck, and definately not complaining about it
