Emily Rose Johnny Depp New Moon Reading

Proving that the New Moon phenomenon has hit just about everywhere, Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily Rose was spotted lounging back, engrossed while reading a copy of New Moon on a yacht. Ah yes, like we all do.

Johnny Depp and… Twilight?

[thanks to everyone that sent this in!]

  • cullenwannabe1
oh yeah i bet his daughter would FLIP if he was in new moon...i wonder what page she's on? but he was probably busy with the spongebob thingy or working on pirates of the carribean 4. DANGIT.there went my good day...
JKL: "Just keep breathin'" !!!!!! (SWOONS!!!!!)
  • Cullengirl
Well doesn't President Obama and his daughter read the Twilight series as well, even Tom Cruise said his daughter also read the book so I might not suprised, ^ you read my mind, I thought Johnny would had made the perfect Arom but Alistar or either of the Romanians would do.
  • RobCakes
I wondered why my 11 yr old sister came in from school yesterday and asked if she could read my copy of New Moon...
  • dres
    so sweet.
    she knows what's good...
maybe johny reads twilight saga to?
  • Sweet!
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
Of course she has good taste . . . she's Johnny Depp's daughter!
  • KINALuvzWolves
    Clearly!
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
    :)
  • AerosManders
Last photo I remember seeing of her...she was like...tiny. Its weird seeing kids in the "spotlight" grow up. It seems so fast...yet my niece is the same age and seems to be growing slower =P.
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
I wonder what it is that attracts people this young to the saga? :) It's not the overwhelming hotness & the idea of a perfect love... or is it? Unfortunately I don't know any Twilightlovers this young so I couldn't ask.

(just to be clear: I don't suggest that they're too young or sth, I'm just curious about the reasons :))
  • marie_C - Team switz
is weird there are really young girls, it is supposed to be 13 and older, i don't think this books are for that age, specially breaking dawn and they put as an excuse to not do the movie(pg-13), the should do the movie r rated, because clearly they are reading the books.
  • Lina09
But breaking dawn never talks about the sex.... it just implies it happens. I dont think its that bad.
  • Kiera
I Disaggre with you because I'm only 12 and I have read Breaking Dawn abut 30 times. The book never truly says what happens because blanked out each time.
  • marie_C - Team switz
i am not saying it says something, i know it doesn't, but i just saying that it was one of the excuses for not doing the movie and now for cut some details, maybe it doesn't implied anything about sex but it shows lot of blood. Yeah you can be reading the book but if you look for the ages of the ya gender is 13 and up, but is clearly that jounger girls are reading it like you.
  • JulieL
My friend's daughter is 6 and she is obsessed with Twilight lol. Can't read but watches the movie over and over and asks her for every Twilight thing she sees. It is way too funny.
  • CullenGirl76
Sorry this is a REALLY late review, but: I'm 11. The attraction is mainly...actually, I'm not sure. I think it's just that fact that it's the world we WANT to grow up in. Edward's the guy we want to meet in High School or College. Or it may just be the fact that it's different than other things we've read, like Harry Potter or something like that. Vampires are really fascinating to most of us.
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
hey :) thanks for answering! now that I read your response it actually makes perfect sense :) (and I'm not walking & wondering anymore ;))
  • That's cute. Maybe she's brushing up on the series for daddy? Perhaps Johnny Depp would like a part in BD? Maybe Alistar....or maybe Stefan or Vladimir..........hmmmmm interesting........
  • crookedsmile
Which would mean Tim Burton would have to direct it and THAT would definitely be interesting,
  • Wow, yeah, that WOULD be interesting
  • KINALuvzWolves
Tim Burton!!! Wow, thanks for getting my hopes up...
  • EstonianVampire
Cute! Nothing to be shocked about, almost every girl likes it. Fun fact :)
  • OCDJenni
    So true!
  • meemomoo
When you say, "Like we all do," does that mean you pretend you're in a yacht when reading in the tub too?
  • marie_C - Team switz
i guess except for the yacht.
  • OMG!!! I think she is too young to read such books, because, I think, she does not understand such love relationships, especially that develop in this book
  • the_nina
I was at the beach the first time I read New Moon. It was a strange contrast to how depressing the book starts off. I was bawling next to the ocean.
  • Loribug
    Ahhh Johnny....*sigh* so beautiful!

I love that picture of his daughter she is a doll!
  • Heidi K
Maybe she can convince her Dad to be Eleazar for the rest of the installments....
Daddy's little girl, work your magic well !
    I'll keep my fingers crossed.
  • Cullengirl
OH Yes, Johnny can work a good spanish accent ever watch Don Juan De Marco? Tim Burton directing Breaking Dawn that be something.
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
I (yes me) personally thing she is too young, unless she has been brought up learning about relationships. It would shock me more if she was reading breaking dawn, oh even the thought, her little mind would be scared for life!
  • She's about to turn 10- which for the most part I think is too young. However, her being Johnny Depp's daughter, she probably has the best schooling and I'm sure shes pretty smart. She's his #1 priority

[on his daughter, Lily-Rose] I see this amazing, beautiful, pure angel-thing wake up in the morning, and nothing can touch that. She is the only reason to wake up in the morning, the only reason to take a breath. Everything else is checkers. (IMDB)

I also saw this quote and thought it was hilarious:
"These are the most important people in my life. You know, I would die for these people. If someone were to harm my family or a friend or somebody I love - I would eat them. I might end up in jail for 500 years - but I would eat them."
  • CullenGirl76
10 isn't too young, really. I just turned 11...it's just that most girls my age can't comprehend what these intense realtionships are. But, I'm fairly intelligent (sorry if that sounds like I'm bragging), and my mom says I don't think like regular 11-year-olds. She thinks I think and speak more like a 20-year-old (minus any possible cussing).
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
Yeah, I'm getting my 10 yr old niece Twilight for her b-day but I told her mom I don't think she should read the rest of the series for a couple of years.
  • KINALuvzWolves
LOL imagine reading BD as a 10 year old. You'd never want to have sex. Maybe that's what the parents are going for...

But seriously, she's probably reading it because it's the latest fad. Perhaps she'll re-read it when she's more mature and fully understand what's going on. She'll be all, "So Edward and Bella didn't have a pillow fight?"
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
LMAO Pillow fight, thats too funny!
  • Stephy8
    The twilight saga rules!!
  • haha hilarious
  • CULLEN!
    awsome...
  • TEAM EDWARD
OMG! How freaking cute! Another Cullen luvr!! The more the better!! lol.
  • sweeet : D
  • elay81
JOHHNY DEPP should play Eleazar Denali :)
  • twilover
I am not sure how young she is but she could be very mature for her age look at the life she lives and her parents. She has realy good parents so I am sure that if they didnt approve then she wouldnt be allowed to read the books.
  • arose801
My 7 year old Daughter saw the movie in the theater with my Mom and I. She loved it of course and is now nearly as obsessed as I am. lol Even my 6 year old Son loves it. He plays "Twilight" all the time and is always describing his fight scenes, how Laurent threw him into a tree, and he broke the tree and then used the tree branch against James. It's quite entertaining.
  • OhEdward (The Original)
She's already rocking the big sunglasses.
  • Yisel
    She is lovely!

In general what I find amazing is that really young people are reading. Not that I consider myself old...lol...I'm only 24 and I've always loved reading...since I was 10...but so many young poeple are the opposite...I see that in my cousin who never read an entire book before apart from those she was required at school...and now she is reading...not only Twilight saga but other books as well.
  • Cullengirl
Well I don't that Johnny would let Lily read Breaking Dawn because he said he wants for his kids to wait until they see his more mature materials, so I guess Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse are all good but I see her waiting to read Breaking Dawn.

by the way who is also going to see Public Enemies? it's with Johnny and Christian Bale.
  • ZTATwilighter
IDK if its just me. but i seriously wanted Johnny Depp to play Aro. But hey thats my opinion.
  • silent_essence
that's so awesome, she's so sweet
  • Marti (Just Team Kristen. <3)
    she's adorable ;) that's cool news.
  • hartsafire
I look at this way education has always been a top priority in my family, and the earlier you can get your kids into reading the better. I can remember being thats girls age and reading books that highschool kids were reading, she may not understand everything in that particular book but, the benifits of having her learn out weigh anything else in my opinion.
Onto a brighter note, I could see Johnny Depp as Alistair, it might not be a big part but his personality just seems to fit in with alistairs
  • keekster08
LOL!!!! its infilitrating every level of society! oh yes, its not just a book for us measly, cave dwelling common people! its also for the ridiculously privledged soon to be hollywood starlettes! HAHA.
  • RustyHalo
Oh, she is cute! Just as some of you have said though, a wee bit young especially for BD and maybe even for Eclipse.
But I like the 'big girl' glasses she's wearing. =-)
  • my niece is 9 and has read Twilight and New Moon. She definitelty doesn't get the passion in the love between Bella and Edward at all but to her at that age its all just imagination, I don't see anything wrong with the first two books. I'm sure if she re-reads it at a later age it will make more sense to her. But I agree that I think Eclipse and BD are geared more to late teens.
  • CullenGirl76
I read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, yeah, a bit gross and awkward...but, it's easy to comprehend. :D I'm 11, and seriously, it's not really that mature-rated. It's more...implying things. My mom read the books after me, and she totally approved.
  • she is sooo cute how old is she? (it might be to hard to read)
i love de glasses she is wearing
  • twilight_lover
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT SO FASCINATING ABOUT CELEBRATES LIKING THE BOOKS OR THE MOVIE THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO, THATS NOT NEWS
  • KINALuvzWolves
LOL! They are people too, that's not news. How very true!
  • coolio pic :D
  • cutesweetiezzz
I don't know, but she seems a bit young to be reading New Moon. I'm wondering if she can understand the undying love relationship Bella and Edward have and how Bella is also in love with Jacob. I think she should read the saga when she's older. It seems more appropriate with her age.
  • ali
    haha
  • Cute!
  • AWW CUTE.
  • Personally I think the series is for 15-16+
    But she looks totally cute.
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
Haha... how cute... I love Johnny Depp.. he should have been a freaken vampire ;)
  • twilightfan117
    cute
she's not young. no one is young for reading twilight.
  • CullenGirl76
    I AGREE!
  • destined to be a cullen
i'd rather say no one is too old for twilight.. so there's no question when even 'moms' out there read twilight series but with lily rose of her age? i still think she's too young to understand the depth of twilight saga, new moon specifically, not to mention breaking dawn..
  • Rebeca
omg she shouldnt read such kind of literature, i mean she's a little girl omg. Of course kids should read but come on ladies, it's common sense Twilight involves many explicit adult situations. I dont understand how u can cheer at this, and I think im very open minded but this is too much. There are limits and kids under 13 cant understand Twilight and the complexity of love, passion, obsession, death... .
  • CullenGirl76
I'm under 13. I understand Twilight in perfect clarity. Why do people have to be so prejudiced about Tweens and pre-teens? Not all of us are stupid!
  • bluegoddessgirl
Thats adorable, but like many people have said I wonder if she understands what she's reading, because usually when you're that young you don't tend to grasp the language in books targeted towards older audiences. I mean she could be smart and everything, but I know when I was 10, which was only 9 years ago, I never read adult books. Mad props to her though for picking up a book because most kids have become lazy and only stay on the computer or play video games all day.
  • Rebeca
If u really think this s a normal thing for a 10 year old kid to read, intelligent and she may be, then you have a real problem ( specially if you kind of "celebrate" it as a victory to the twilight cause ). Lame.
  • no1TwiFanpire
She looks a little young to be reading The series. I would not let her read Breaking Dawn. Plus it is a little creepy that photogs have nothing better to do than photograph Johnny Depps daughter
  • destined to be a cullen
so cute!.. i'm just wondering, how old is she? she seems to be so young to read this book.. i mean, don't get me wrong, there's really nothing wrong with new moon or the rest of the twilight saga, but for a little girl like her? there are a lot of issues in the book (depression for that matter) and i don't think that it would make sense to her.. she's just a child..
  • Lovin_the_Cullens_n_Bella
    How cute....Who doesn't like reading the series..lol.
  • Desi
I love Johnny Depp and I'm really sad they didn't put him in the Voltury coven...
    Who doesn't like the saga?
