Does anyone know when it's out in the UK? I can't wait to see it!

I saw adventureland yesterday night. It was great!!!!! Very funny and Kristen was absolutely wonderful!

I just saw it too, I love Kristen Stewart in it but overall it wasn't as funny as i thought it was going to be. Unless watching guys get hit in the junk is funny to you wait for the DVD, movies are too expensive to just go and see anything that comes to theaters.

Apparently it comes out in the UK on the 17-7-09, which seems really far away! I might be wrong though, so keep looking...

I'd see it, but it's more for the indie film theme and the SNL comics that are in it. I'll wait for DVD though--just added it to my NetFlix queue.

The movie prices are ridiculous. I just went like a couple weeks ago, and the time before that was to see twilight. And since then it went up like 2 dollars.

The price for a movie ticket is $12.50 in nyc. Sigh.

I cannot even find Adventureland on the upcoming movie releases here in Norway so I don't have a flying chance to see it for now unless it comes out on DVD here.

Its such a toss up, i love kristen, and ryan reynolds is sooo funny, i've see just about everything else he's been in. But i can't tell which i would see, this or the new Fast and Furious movie, I'd go see both in one night if i could, but i will prolly go see this next weekend and Fast and Furious tonight.

I'm thinking about it. It has Bill Hader in it too.. he's fairly funny. I'd like to see how Kristen acts in other movies too just to get a perspective of her outside of the Twilight world.

Ya I saw her in that. She was decent. It's been a few years since that though so it'll be interesting to see how she's grown.

Yeah I'll see it. I've liked Stewart since before Twilight. Panic Room was good but she was a bit olde I think in Cold Creek Manor, which I enjoyed (plus I like Dennis Quaid anyway). I'm actually getting The Messengers again from Netflix this weekend. She's an acquired taste - some like her, some think she doesn't really act. She's played alot of "strong stubborn teenager" roles. She's very mature for her age and has a dry almost dark sense of humor. She said she was the only one in this new comedy who wasn't funny. I just think she's interesting and I'll enjoy seeing what new roles open up for her because of Twilight. Her playing a gay guy in K-11 is going to be a little hard for me to wrap my mind around though!

i wanna see if her acting is any better now that she's older.. i didn't like her acting in twilight at all, but i'm blaming that on Catherine Hardwicke BECAUSE I THINK SHE'S HORRIBLE and i couldnt be happier to get rid of her. i think chris weitz is gonna make New Moon a lot better than Catherine could've ever made it. i'm really excited to see adventureland tho bc i loved Superbad, and i like the concept behind the story. i like kristen's off screen personality so her being in the movie is an added bonus. but i wish they would stop saying things like "Twilight's Kristen Stewart" like really, thats not the only thing the girl has done, please enough of THAT!

Omg, I picked up my tickets last week for the tomorrow showing I am so excited I have been waiting on this movie forever. I think you should all go watch it, you will probably be surprised at how much you'd like it.

I just saw Adventureland and I was surprised by how good it really was. A genuinely sweet love story with sprinkles of humor. It made me smile throughout.

Oh, and it's only rated R for it's excessive Drug Use...seriously a lot of dope and I'm not a fan (in my opinion pot is for losers with no respect for life) but I got over it quickly and laughed along with everyone else.

i think this type of movie is more of Kristen's genre than Twilight

I jus got back from seein Adventureland and Fast and Furious Both were good. I like Kristen in Adventureland she was good. the movie was very funny even though I got to see it for free I think ppl should spend their 10 bucks to see it. 2 thumbs up! LOL

I've been wanting to see this movie for a while! It's sort of a combo thing for me - all the people in it, not just Kristen. Ryan Reynolds is enough of a selling point for me. I liked Kristen in Speak though, and I thought she was pretty level with everyone else in Twilight so I'm into seeing how she is in this.

I'm just at the mercy of my friends. We still have to figure out if we're seeing Adventureland or Fast & Furious tomorrow.

I wan tto see it, but sadly it's not at the theatre I usually go to. Not sure why. Maybe they just haven't updated their sign...

I saw it tonight! it was good, I really liked it. she's such a great actress. You see a side of her you've never seen in any of her movies so far. Good job, K!

It was awesome!!! The acting is spot-on, the directing and cinematography are excellent, and the music was used perfectly. There were a couple times I laughed so loudly I embarrassed myself ("...and yet his chapeau remains!")! Please add another option: "Going to see the movie, buy the t-shirt and then buy the DVD!"

I saw it and have to say it wasn't half as great as twilight. It was really slow and only funny in some places. I would rather have waited for it to come out on DVD.

If you're expecting to see Kristen Stewart as another "Bella" type character and a Twilight-esque themed movie then it might seem slow. But Kristen plays a completely different role, Em, and does it well. Very well. This role may show how great her acting skills are, and get us pumped for seeing her preform in the new moon movie, but it doesn't have the feel of Twilight anywhere in it. Edward and Bella are kind of the stuff of our dreams, you know? Their struggle and amazing love is what we wish we had in real life.

Adventureland IS real life. It's a completely different feel of a movie. So they're kinda hard to compare.

WHY YOU SHOULD POSSIBLY SEE IT:
If you're old enough to have been able to at one point in your life smoke not or drink, you're old enough to appreciate the humor. If you can relate to someone growing up (out highschool & growing up) and figuring themselves out, you're old enough to appreciate the rest of the movie.
You should probably be at the point where you're at least graduating from highschool or older.
OR, MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF YOU'VE WORKED AT KENNYWOOD WHERE THEY FILMED ADVENURELAND =D

I don't wanna give anything away. But Kristen Stewart is great in her role as Em, Ryan Reynolds was great in his too, basically everyone in the cast contributed to making it a great movie. Jesse Eisenberg was really great too! :) I loved the plot, the way the film flowed and how it was shot. (:

I didn't say I was expecting to see her as she was in Twilight and to be honest her acting was way better in Adventureland. I thought she did a fairly good job portraying Em, but the movie didn't flow well for me. Plus Adventureland isn't even centered around Kristen so we cannot pinpoint it on her. Not everyone is going to have the same feelings about a film and there's nothing wrong with that.

From what you said about humor, I don't agree. I am in my second year of college and I don't necessary see the drug use as humor. It might have worked if it hadn't have been used so heavily, but that wasn't the case. I am old enough to understand what makes a movie great and what might hurt it.

Of course the movie rating had one thing to do with it because the audience is going to be a lot smaller with an R rating, but also word of mouth is a huge factor in whether someone is going to see a movie. I wouldn't recommend seeing it in theatres, but rather saving your money and waiting until it comes out on DVD. I talked about seeing Adventureland to my coworkers yesterday and many took my thoughts into consideration.

The acting wasn't bad in Adventureland, but many of the scenes carried on for too long and I didn't leave the theatre feeling like I got my money's worth.

I just saw Adventureland, and it was amazing. Kristen did an amazing job, and the movie was amazing overall. Definitely see it if you want a sweet story with good humor, and a great soundtrack.
Give Kristen a chance - she pulls off a very complicated character.

I found the movie funny. The best part is where James gets chased by that big guy and his boss comes out with a bat screaming at him. lol. And the pot cookie scene was funny too.

Crap! I really wanted to see Adventureland this weekend, but I woke up with a terrible cold. I don't think the moviegoers would appreciate hearing sniffles all night. Maybe next weekend!

Okay... So I saw 'Adventureland' last night! The movie was okay... But Kristen's performance was great! I am not just saying that because I like her but she really did great. With out me giving away the point of the movie...There were several very intense scenes where she had to get seriously into it and cry.. I really almost cried for those few scenes that she did cry. This makes me 100% confident that she will do great in New Moon. Her character Em had several outlooks on life. Em was a very happy, complex, but intense and problemed person.. Kristen did GREAT on all of those... All of her scenes were amazing.. Like I said the movie was okay.. It was funny but deep.. It hits on more than one level for sure .. But she did WONDERFUL! Go KStew!

If you want to know more just ask! =) I don't want to ruin the movie for ya'll though!

I saw it tonight. I worked at the park that the movie was filmed at, which is really called "Kennywood" not "Adventureland," I thought it would be awesome just for that fact. It was awesome and then so much better. Funny, but not "Superbad" funny, and definitely had a great plot. Kristen Stewart is amazing, seriously. Her character is a good one for her to play, I think, and she plays her well.. she's deep, and not resembling "Bella" in many ways, she's obviously a great actor. Definitely worth paying the $10 to see it!!

i wasn't a huge fan of kristen in twilight but she was really amazing in this movie and i really really enjoyed it. i'm more convinced now that she'll do a great job in new moon because she plays the miserable broken-hearted extremely well. go see this movie!!!

Cant its rated R and my mom is mean! It Doesnt Even Look bad and i mean she sits there and lets me see the sex scenes on twilight!

I saw the movie, and it was okay, but I didn't think that Kristen did a very good job in it. She's too fidgety, and it seems to me that she is the same character in every movie she does.

I got to see the movie about a week and a half before it came out. Thank you pre-screenings at local universities from time to time. Anyway, I loved it and laughed a TON. It's funny how a lot of film critics are giving it bad reviews and yet a lot of people going to see it have a LOT to disagree with. Oh well, it just goes to show that movies about getting high and having sex aren't always going to be favored by old men who have a stick up their arse. Kristen was fantab and it was great to see her smile so much.

I saw the movie and I didn't think it was all that great I would give it a "C". I would give Kristen some advice though... she is acting the same... she acted like Bella in this movie... She has the same quirks, same awkward pauses in her lines, she bites her nails (which must be something she does in real life too)... Kristen, change it up a bit...

It's a twist on a summer gone awry and just when you think you know the ending..there's a twist there too!

Really love Stewart in the film though, she has a talent I feel most people don't recognize...I think maybe her Twilight fame has made people dislike her acting....?

but her roles In the Land Of Women, Into the Wild and now Adventureland REALLY make up for it!

I was never so disapointed with an actress..in my life. She completely ruined the movie twilight and if it weren't for the story itself, I would've never seen the movie twice. She is an ungreatful actress, who didn't didn't diserve the part. Maybe adventureland, the average, teen stoners movie, is more up her alley and she should probally leave the acting to the pros. When I went to the movies to see twilight, there was a scence, suppused to be serious, where the whole audience actually started to laugh...and she is getting praise for this???
