It's a twist on a summer gone awry and just when you think you know the ending..there's a twist there too!

Really love Stewart in the film though, she has a talent I feel most people don't recognize…I think maybe her Twilight fame has made people dislike her acting….?

but her roles In the Land Of Women, Into the Wild and now Adventureland REALLY make up for it!

From what you said about humor, I don't agree. I am in my second year of college and I don't necessary see the drug use as humor. It might have worked if it hadn't have been used so heavily, but that wasn't the case. I am old enough to understand what makes a movie great and what might hurt it.

Of course the movie rating had one thing to do with it because the audience is going to be a lot smaller with an R rating, but also word of mouth is a huge factor in whether someone is going to see a movie. I wouldn't recommend seeing it in theatres, but rather saving your money and waiting until it comes out on DVD. I talked about seeing Adventureland to my coworkers yesterday and many took my thoughts into consideration.

The acting wasn't bad in Adventureland, but many of the scenes carried on for too long and I didn't leave the theatre feeling like I got my money's worth.
