I READ MOST OF PEOPLES COMMENTS AND FIND IT TOTALLY HILARIOUS THAT WHOEVER WROTE THAT ARTICLE GOT THE EXACT REACTION THEY WANTED, THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE ALONE UPSET MANY FANS. THE BOOKS HAVE BEEN OUT FOR AWHILE (maybe pulled off sales slowd down, or whateva) & WHEN THE MEDIA GOT WIND OF IT BEING PULLD OFF THE SHELVES (IN THAT PARTICULAR STORE) LIGHT WENT ON, “let's just add a little twist to the article, fire things up a little)” Media can be very DANGEROUS SHLD LOOK AT THE WIRTER of article, MY 3 DAUGHTERS READ THE BOOKS GAVE THEM 2 TO ME read them, lovd them theyr'e just a beautiful love story it's cleaner than most books around today, HOPE THE MOVIES DO THE SERIES JUSTICE.

lol. i know what you mean. the TWILIGHT saga is sold EVERYWHERE!!!
i'm LDS and i've read the series and most of my close mormon relatives have all read them and we all love them.
i think it's understandable that they took them off the shelves, but i dont know why some people make such a big deal about it.
this sounds like the shop did it because of complaint.
what are they going to do next… ex-com Steph??…. i dont think so.

If the store owners feel that they want to pull the books of their shelves, well then it is up to them what they do or do not want to carry in their store. As for whether or not the books are evil, or what defines a Christian, please can we discuss things which are more important for the survival of humanity such as love, peace, and forgiveness. I do have to say however that I do favor Harry Potter over the Twilight books.

REALLY?! Please do some research before posting such a thing!! LDS people ARE Christians. To be a Christian is to believe in Christ. That's kind of the center of the religion!!

Maybe so but it is misleading to non LDS readers. The church leaders did not ban the book itself and people are drawing conclusions against the church because of it. Why not be more specific in saying that Deseret Books took them off their shelf?
