Melissa Rosenberg on Breaking Dawn Script, Signing Twilight Scripts

Lego Breaking Dawn Cover Melissa Rosenberg, scriptwriter for both Twilight and New Moon, has laid to rest rumors that Breaking Dawn is in an advanced stage of production, noting that she hasn’t written the script yet, nor has she received direction from Stephenie Meyer on how to proceed--

“The most I’ve heard from Summit is ‘re-read it and start thinking about it,’” says Rosenberg, who is completing her show-running duties on the fourth season of the Showtime series Dexter. More telling, she hasn’t yet received one of the manifestos Meyer famously puts together before Rosenberg begins turning one of her books into a movie. Another source is also skeptical that Summit is far along in developing a fourth film. “As far as I know, Stephenie was still having meetings asking, ‘Can we really make this into a movie?’”

Fans of Rosenberg’s adaptation of Twilight to the big screen will soon have the chance to buy a copy of the script and have have it signed personally by Melissa. She’ll be at the LA Times Festival of Books helping raise money for the Writer’s Guild Foundation this Saturday in Los Angeles. Full details can be found at the LA Times.

  • Dear Stephenie Meyer,

I want to point out that you're my hero. BUT get over the Renesmee thing. Its getting old, find a new excuse not to make BD. You wrote all 4 books .. don't you think it would be an injustice not to make the 4th movie? Just leave us all hanging?

    The End

I am 100% for the book being made.

As for some parts that I read here to be issues:

The pregnancy / birth : I saw a really good fan made trailor that showed someone (Bella) pregnant, her belly was black and blue in one frame then it looked like something was poking through her skin on another. I don't think IF the movie is made that we need to be all graphic with the birth. The describes it as a total bloodbath. I could be downplayed, she could be covered (and I assume would be), you could hear a ripping noise with her body jerking a little while Edward removes the baby.

The baby: Well someone summed it up nicely - Gollum (spelling?) in LOTR. The first time Bella sees the baby after her "renovations" the kid looks like its 3 months old. I am sure Hollywood can put teeth on a 3 month old baby via CGI. Hollywood can do anything with the right people. Will it be cheap? No...but Twilight has brought in over 350 million and cost 54 million to make. New Moon is slated to make almost twice that (based on the fan base almost tripling since Twilight's release).

My true concern is - I read somewhere that S. Meyers will NOT sign off on a "R" movie. I am not sure how true it is. Twilight didn't exactly follow the book to the "T". It varied a little on where or how stuff happened and left some stuff out. I suspect New Moon will be the same as well as Eclipse. I can't see why the more sensitive issues can't be skirted around in Breaking Dawn. And besides, folks are worried about teenage girls watching the movie? THEY ALREADY READ THE BOOK - words are far more descriptive than a movie could ever be. I don't really see BD as a PG13 book for many reasons.

    Just my 2 cents.
  • I don't know how much truth is behind the fact that Stephenie will not sign off on an R-rated movie, but I for one, believe it. People really need to get over this rated-R thing....we've already read the book, what are you attempting to hide that they haven't already read? I agree, words are FAR more descriptive. I believe that no way does Breaking Dawn have to be rated R. Think about some of the movies & TV that you've seen lately. The vampire fighting scenes in Eclipse & Breaking Dawn are no more graphic than say the scenes in VanHelsing...or Underworld, both rated PG-13. As for the sex scenes, well Stephenie was VERY subtle in the book, and there's no reason they need to stray from that. AND if they DO choose to make some of the scenes a bit racy, it will STILL get a PG-13 rating.....have you seen some of the daily soap operas that are on TV lately?? PAALLEEAASSEE! Breaking Dawn is mild compared to some of the stuff thats out there today.
  • well first thing, i read that BD isnt considered rated R, and they can tone down the pregnancy and the sex was only mentioned in BD. they can make the couple get all smoochy then change scenes before it gets heated. so it can be done. i doubt stephenie wouldnt want to make it into a movie, im sure she'd love to! also for the fans and for thos who havent read it, so they can get closure.
  • ok this is me being a tad thick but how does the rating for movie work in the US? Whats an r rated movie? I figure PG 13 is for anyone over 13 and anyone below is with parental supervision?
  • PG - PARENTAL GUIDANCE

Some material may not be suitable for children.

May have mild violence and/or action, mild language and sexual references, brief nudity, intense images, sexual themes, crude humor or very mild drug references.

    PG-13 - PARENTS STRONGLY CAUTIONED

Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

May contain moderate language, minimal strong language, some explicit nudity, intense violence, gore, or mild drug content.

    R - RESTRICTED

Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.

May contain very strong language or strong sexual emphasis, strong explicit nudity, strong violence and gore, or strong drug content.

That's the basic breakdown of the general ratings here in the US.
  • nothing wrong with it being r rated as long as someone takes you...don't understand what the fuss is about it being r rated?
  • I agree with you, I don't see it as a big deal. It doesn't bother me what they rate it. But I really don't see BD needing an R-rating, there's far worse out there that gets a lower rating. They will make sure of that all the movies has a PG-13 rating, so that it appeals to a wider audience & as a result, makes more $$$$
  • rylinn212
What you guys seem to be missing is that Stephenie is LDS OR Mormon and Mormons don't watch "R" rated movies, so Mrs. Meyer is NOT going to allow production of her books into a "R" rating because of her standards.
They are her books and if she has the final say than you might have to settle for something less graphic. Yes, the book description could be made into a gore fest, but do you really NEED to see that to understand what is happening -- NO!

Stephenie writes beautifully - let that be all. : )
  • mickey_lamb
ya, i mean, no one that hasnt read the book would see the movie (unless theyre weird) so it wouldnt need to be graphic at the birth because we know whats happening. and to give it an R rating is ridiculous!
  • Haley.
all of the 9 year olds that have parents that for SOME reason allow their children to read books with themes of sex in the first place would be sad.
oh, wait, their dumbass parents would bring them anyways.
i think the main reason is actually the fact that stephenie doesn't want any huge sex or gore scene. she's uneasy about it and probably doesn't want to ruin the innocence of her young fans' eyes.
but i wouldn't even care because i won't need my parents to get me into an R movie by then.
  • cocoadrilla01
Stephanie Meyer is a practicing mormon. She refuses to watch anything rated R, so she doesn't want the movie to be rated over a PG-13 rating.

It's her books and she should be happy with the movies and like someone stated before, she downplays them in the book, so if hollywood doesn't go overboard, there should be no problem with a PG-13 rating.
  • Here's the problem .... There is nothing PG 13 about the novel Breaking Dawn. So, how could we avoid an R rating?

And I didn't realize that the writer of the novel had a say in the rating of the movie?
  • cocoadrilla01
If you do it right there is noway that it could get past a PG-13 movie. They would have it in their best interest to keep it away from an R for the simple fact that their primary demographic is really 11-18 year old girls.

An R rating will make it harder for the younger viewers to get into the movie.

And I am not sure how the contract is set up but if it is in the clause then the author could have an immense say in the movie.
  • blueieze
R is for anyone 18/ and older.

Anyone 17 and younger must have an adult with them in order to be admitted into the movie
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
Totally agree. BD doesn't have to be graphic. I've been saying it for a while now.
  • second that!
  • twicrazeD12
    third that!!!

i need the 4th movie, for my closure lol
for my imagination to be fed correctly, lol by then the cgi would probably be better, i mean the baby in dawn of the dead looked pretty real concidering there would never be zombies let alone a zombie baby, so im sure by 2010 the cgi would beway better to make a cute vanpire baby, then they can just have a five year old to play the rest............

    dear stephenie meyer

    make the 4th movie

    the end
  • LOL .. nice letter! short but to the point
  • twicrazeD12
LOL thanks u inspired me, I love ur letters!!!!!!, and besides she really just needs to make the movie period LOL
  • ancha85
    third, fourth and fifth that!

We do need you to be very involved Stephenie, as we don't want our beloved last book to turn into a "cheesy" movie.

The aspect of Reneesme is a somewhat difficult one, but if you get a good cgi guy (Chris Weitz, for instance!), it can be done. There are so many things that can be done now that we non-movie making people don't know, that I am sure they can convince you that "your baby" will be treated well.

If you are giving us Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, howis it even possible to even fathom that we won't have Breaking Dawn, too?

It is a must or we will all go into SEVERE addiction withdrawal!
  • I 4th that! They won't leave us hanging, I've seen far more difficult movies be made. No big deal, so MAKE BREAKING DAWN!!

PS: Melissa, can you hurry up with season 4 of Dexter? I'm growing impatient. TY.
  • season 3 of dexter start this week in the UK i can't wait and you are complaining about season 4!
  • i love rob
    Amen!!
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
Do you have a double identity in case you get kicked of the system, or is twicrazeD12 just using your letters format LMAO
  • honey bee
    Bravo, LM! My thoughts exactly; just didn't have the guts to say them out loud. ;}
  • Ashley
You know, don't get me wrong, but why does everyone hate Renesmee? Sure, Breaking Dawn may have been a little too 'happy', but still. It was really hard, even for Stephenie Meyer, who started the series to end up with a ending that everyone would be happy with. She had to keep it not too graphic since we have like 8-9 year olds, maybe younger reading these. It was really hard to live up to it. I mean sure, I guess every book has it's haters. Guess everybody has their opinons.
  • WetDishRag (AKA deedee81)
It bloody better be made into a movie! I will cut off their right hands and ask them how it feels if they don't! Be warned summit...be afraid, be very afraid! LMAO
  • Gorgeous30
I agree, there's so many ways to make movies these days.... special effects and all so it would be really damaging to the other 3 movies if they didn't end off with the best book. I don't forsee a problem but i do hope it will be done soon....

I'm being positive about it. :)
  • i love rob
LOL!!!! Down girl......I can't imagine that they won't make it!!! I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. The worst thing that could happen is that they give it an R rating. And they would suck for the minors who don't have an adult to take them......

But with the technology we have today.....they can pretty much do anything!!!!!! No worries!!!

    BTW...I'm online! :)
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
If i don't get to see the whole isle esme thing, i'm not going to be a very happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LMAO
  • honey bee
    Exactly! BRING. ON. THE. FEATHERS.
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
    LMAO

Stuff the feathers....they'll only get in the way and we wont be able to see the scene clearly. I don't want to miss anything LOL
  • I wonder what Rob thinks about all of this...He had a hard enough time watching himself in the movie let alone watching himself in this scene! I bet he doesn't even watch Little Ashes...
  • honey bee
Oh, deedee. You are such a nut (in a good way)! lol :D
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
I'm with you all the way! Come on over and we'll take a caravan to LA and do some serious damage on the Summit execs!
  • They can't just not make it! They have to make it so complete the set, I agree with Daniela if they can make Gollum in Lord of the Rings then they can do Renesemee. I know that is going to be the hardest part and that the budget for lord of the rings was something enormous anyway but with the way the franchise has kicked off surely they will have enough money now?

They can do a alot with cgi now and Renesemee is only a baby for a little while, she is talking before you know it in which case they just have to get a a really good child actor. I'll write the damn script myself if it gets the movie made! Heck I'll train my neice so she can portray Renesemee!
  • Daniela23
Oh good point about Gollum! They can do it.

And at to be honest I don't have to see Renesme jumping 7 meters in the air....or something like that.
I think it isn't very hard to make a real child look like she has a coherent speech.
About the blood scenes, again we don't have to see how Edward is cutting Bella's belly. I don't mind them changing that. They can tone it down a bit, so we don't have it too visual.

And I've heard people saying how BD isn't going to be very exciting because there isn't any fight at the end.
But to me how I imagined the final confrontation is actually much better than seeing them ripping one another apart.
Just imagine how cool it will look like when Alec uses his mist, we will acutally see it...and we could see Bella's shield. I mean it can be very exiciting and visual.

And Summit spokesman Paul Pflug didn't confirm it but he didn't deny it also. He just said that they have no comment at this time.

I think it is early for us to know for sure, maybe we'll know when the actors get signed or something.
  • I think it would be better if they split it into two movies too. Then you get 4 hours rather than them trying to cram everything into 3! I can't see why they couldn't do a 4 hour movie and do an 15 minute intermission. I was traveling around Switzerland last year and went to see a movie with a friend I was staying with in Zurich and they still did an intermission in the middle of James Bond!!

If they did it in two movie though they could do everything up until she has the baby and then the 2nd part would be Renesemee which would give them more time and more advancements with CGI.
  • Daniela23
Yeah, absolutely. You are righ, it will be better they make two movies.
But I also think if the script is good 3 hour movie can work. I mean if they have doubts about two parts or have problem with actors signing for another one then I would rather watch one longer movie.
Making it last 4 hours is to be honest impossible haha, but yeah, I don't understand it either. We can have as you said 15 minuts in between.
I've heard people fussing about it lasting 3 hours even! I don't get, it isn't that long. I doubt people wont go to see it. Quite the opposite.
If it's Quantum Of Solace in question it isn't even 2 hours long and they did an intermission haha, ridicuouls.

I even think CGI is already very advanced but it probably depends who are they going to hire for it.
As you said above they will make money. I was very surpised that NM didn't have a bigger budget. They can invest in to BD for sure, especially after NM hits the theaters.:D
  • i love rob
Brilliant.....I think you should send in your idea to Summit!!!!! And I don't see why they can't make it into 2 movies.....the 7th Harry Potter is going to be 2, for the reason that they don't want to lose too much from the book!!!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
yeah! and besides, if the Bollywood movies can go on for 4 hours, why BD couldn't? :D

I'd make it two parts, both 4 hours long, with extended Isle Esme scenes! :D
  • yeah they could even add a song and dance routine!
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
LOL! that would be definitely something to see... :D

we could even imagine what it would look like - there was a song&dance Twilight parody on youtube made by the Hillywood Show ;)
  • I will have to find that when I get home tonight, no you tube access at work...it won't be long before they ban access to this seeing how much time I spend on here!
  • hartsafire
Titanic was done the same way 2 hrs then a intermission and then 2 more hrs.
  • was it really? Thats was so long ago I don't remember!
  • hartsafire
It was the first movie my significant other and I went to bout 11 years ago... thats the only reason I remember...
  • twilightchic28
i wanna hear bella growl for the first time that will be interesting!!!!
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
lol.. yeah you should get started on that right away! ;P
  • lol well considering I spend more time on this when I should actually be working I think it would be a worthwhile investment don't you think?! I'm addicted to checking this site all day long...in fact it just stays open and I refresh and post when no-one is looking! :-)
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
So do I! I`m so pathetic....haha ;)) But I bet you can do a really good job, you should go for it! Then you can send it to Melissa and say "Here , now just make this!" lol
  • I'm thinking there are a lot more 20-30 somethings on this than teenagers!

I only got hooked two months ago...I refused to get sucked into Twilight when I came out. I was like 'it for teenagers, the actors a years younger than me what on earth am I going to like about this!' Anyway a girl I work with ...I say girl but she's 45 so a woman really(!) she'is going on about how fantastic the books are and that I should give it a go. So I log onto Amazon order Twilight, get Twilight and start reading it, get hooked, not even half way through and think crap I need to order the rest of them...within a week I was done and had the film on pre-order!

I think we should all come up draft script and combine it create a monster script and then send it on-then we can all meet the cast ;-)
  • AerosManders
I am 22 years old and I am hooked on the books. I got several of my coworkers into them as well. However...I remember my classes where canceled one day...so I caught a $4 showing of Twilight at AMC. Well 15 minutes before it started it was just me...a woman in her 60ish and a woman in her late 20s/early 30s.

I figured...why not try to strum up conversation until the movie starts. Turns out...all of us had read all the books and gave our opinions on them. Turns out that the 60 year old woman actually introduced the series to her granddaughter. I got a kick out of that one.
  • wow 60! I bet the granddaughter thinks her grammy is cool!
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
I know what you mean. I`m from Norway, so I hadn`t heard of anything about twilight until the trailer came out for the movie and I read that it was based on a bestselling book...So I thought that maybe I should go read the book befor I see the film and then it all changed...... I loved the books and read them all in 2 weeks. Twilight was everywhere when I started readig about it. It was so big and I didn`t have no one to talk to about it. I think I bugged my friends a lot talking about these books that sounded really weird (vampires and werewolfes, and the vampire wants to kill Bella but loves her more..haha..I can hear me now). Thankfully I found this site for like 2 months ago and found out that I was not the only 20-30 something that had gone a little mad over Edward :))

(sorry for the misspelling, I try my best :P )
  • you English is fine my norwegian on the other hand consists of only knowing klem and tak which I have probably spelt wrong too!

This is a safe haven for 20-30 something. I've never posted on other message boards because nothing has compelled me to but this is an addiction!
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
not bad not bad! Just put on another k on tak and you will get an A! Takk :)
  • twilightchic28
thank you guys i am 22 and i think i get a little carried away sometimes but then i realize i dont care i am glad others my age share my obsession. i love you guys.
  • edward_addicted
I am 29 and i am obsessed ...lol...but i don't care either. I really like to be able to see the pics and everything everyone post I live in TX so I get on here all through out the day to see the updates. Thanks to everyone that can be so close to get the pics and other news.
  • edward_addicted
Im 29 and i am obsessed but don't care either. I didn't think it would be this bad but being able to keep up with the updates is great. I don't get much done during the day either...lol
  • twilightchic28
well i baby sit and 4 yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy my little cousins and they were playing one day so i watched twilight while they played in the floor. well anywayz he started spaklin and rendi the 4 yr old stopped and was like jessie hes so pretty lol so she likes to get on here with me and look at pictures. and the four year old she has spiral brown curls and brown eyes i told my mom she would be a perfect reneseme lol.
  • twilover
LOL my story is similar. I refused to read the series as well because I'm 26 and thought it was for teens and I thought it was all hype, so it was months after the movie came out that I finally agreed to read the books. My neighbor who is in her 30s lent me the books. I was so sucked in I read all four books in 4 days. I loved every minute but needed the closure that BD brought so I literally could not put the books down. They were open and I was reading while I cleaned, as I cooked dinner for my girls, and did laundry. I also dont think I got much sleep. My best friend thought I had fallen off the face of the earth cause she hadn't heard from me in like a week (which never happens). I was still craving more Twilight so I started looking for something to feed my addiction when I came across this site. I am still struggling with balance. I am so addicted to this site it also stays open on my screen and I just refresh it periodically throughout the day.

If the movies audience is anything like the book audience they will need closure too. It is not an option....the movie has to be made.....plus it would be financially irrisponsible not to make it. The COMPLETE Twilight saga is a goldmine!!!!
  • XHELLOKITTY99X_Miami Coven
Iam 28 and I was the 1st of my people to read it... I read Twilight 2 weeks prior to Breking Dawn to come out.. i was hoked... I can Proudly say that I have converted like 12 people into Twilighters... Even my 14 year old brother hahahaha... My coworker asked me 1 day how much money I have spend in Twilight things at Hot Topic I have spen a total of 135.oo keychains, posters, calendars pins shirts my handbag (I was like Coach and Dooney only girl and now I walk with my Twilight handbag)... Even my comuter bag is Twilight.... I check this website everyday when I get home from work...
  • CindysGotOCD
Good plan.... everyone get a chapter and transform it..... We'd all be fighting over Island Emse... lol....
  • hahaha that because we all have filthy minds!
  • kellie =)
i didnt want to get sucked into the twilight sega and me and my friend all thought we aint getting near twilight and get obbessed like everone else then my old friend is like just read the book and u will love so i did just that and i read all of the books in a less of a weeks time. I am totally obessed and i have read the books probably mor then 4 times i love eclipse i read that book the most. I think they could make it into 2 parts the r doing that with harry potter the 7 th movie and they did that with titanic.
  • i love rob
Me too!!!! LOL!!!! I don't get much work done!!!!
  • so where are you from? I'm always interested to see how far Twilight has stretched across the countries. I figure there are a lot of people from the US and UK on here.
  • XHELLOKITTY99X_Miami Coven
Iam from Miami so not much Twilight thing goes down here!!!
  • rukiafae
that's why I work from home. No one looking over my shoulder! lmao!
  • I did that today and also tomorrow though I actually have to do some work tomorrow so I'm not even going to log on to this!! I think I may last all 5 mins in the morning!
  • Marystat
Absolutely agree! IF they could do this on LOTR why can't Summit pull this together? Someone needs to show these ppl the LOTR trilogy if they are so fussed about this Renesmee stuff. If they feel they do not have the talents to do this I am sure Peter Jackson can recommend the folks he worked with during LOTR!

I do not see how they need to show Renesmee in all her "growth stages" either. There are ways to get around that yet still stay true to the book IMO.
  • it all comes down to money. The more CGI they use the more it costs, I'm hoping the new moon and eclispe will increase the cash pot. I know twilight did well at the movie but with the amount of adults I see reading the saga on the london underground I'm sure there will be a lot more people going to see new moon and eclipse. They just have to wait and see the money coming in, hopefully all will change in november.
  • Marystat
    Yep totally agree.
  • They could always find a tiny person - I mean, look at The Wizard of Oz...didn't they have full grown adults in the parts of little kids? A little makeup and the right clothes and a full grown tiny person could easily look like a 3-4 year old Renesmee - with teeth.
  • GreenEyes34
With the knowledge us fans have....let us help Melissa with the storyboard. I think we can do just as good or better....Of course, we get a percentage of sales..LMAO.
  • CindysGotOCD
I know I've got plenty of ideas....when I read New Moon I had right away thought when Bella hears Edward we have to see him.... it just make sense because we can hear her thoughts but for someone that didnt read the book how would they know it was Edward talking to her.. we have to hear his voice and that would be just weird... so of course images just make sense
  • Breaking Dawn HAS TO BE MADE.
    Make it R. I don't care.
    Just do it.
They can't just do 3 and not do the last.
I want too see feathers flying and Bella bruised.
I want to see a bloody birth scene.

If people can make horror movies then they can do the birth scene.

I don't want important bits cut out just so little kids can see it.
Make it R. None of this PG13 crap.

I don't care how long it takes.
They can make it into 3 movies for all I care.

    They HAVE to do it.
  • AerosManders
I am all for a R rated movie. Not everything can be tailor-made for kids. I am sure mothers will take their kids to go see the movie even if it is rated R. It's not like I want it to be NC-17 or anything.
  • Yeh.
They better not skip the first night at Isle Esme or the birth scene.

    ..otherwise I won't see it.
  • you say that now but you will go see it regardless. Liking it on other hand is another thing. If they missed out those bit I wouldn't be happy but I'd still go see it.
  • Probably.

I'd wait to hear from other people what it was like first.

Anywho.. the point of my post was that it would be disappointing if they left those scenes out, and it would cause problems with the fans.

They should never upset the fans.
    We can do damage.
  • twicrazeD12
    DAMAGE!!!!!!!
  • RustyHalo
I absolutely agree with you! I've always thought BD was more geared for the older group anyway since there are some serious ADULT issues that arise. And I'm sure none of us in the adult category are going to appreciate it if they cut all the good stuff out so the younger ones can go see it at the theaters.
You always see people posting~ "They better keep it true to the book!"...Well, YES they should! That means put in the feathers flying, broken headboard, bruised Bella, bloody birth scene, cute vamp baby, etc... I guess they could tone it down somewhat, but it DOES need to be made.
  • Daniela23
    I really, really, really...hope they'll make it!

It even doesn't have to be split in to two movies. I mean if they managed to transfrom Lord of the rings which is lets face it a lot more complex book in to a 3 hour movie then they can do it with BD too.

I am having my hopes up, I don't think it is a coincidence that both Rob and Kristen said it is possible.

And the most important part is if I don't see some feathers flying around I'll be seriously pissed haha.
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
haha, me too! I want to see feathers! :))
  • Daniela23
Oh and I forgot to add after when Bella becomes a horndog...ripped nightgown and broken headboard. xD
  • filthy minds...we all have such filthy minds!
  • Daniela23
    Filthy is the word!

Mine is in the gutter since I've read it...and it never resurfaced hahah
  • lol...and I thought I was bad for going back and re-reading that over and over....! ;-)
  • CindysGotOCD
I re-read page 185-187 of Eclipse a few times in the hard cover book... when Edward is trying to illustrate the positives of having a bed.. Also I have read Island Esme a few times over... and let not forget there first night in the cottage
  • lmao so funny, I'm single and not ashamed to admit that that was the highlight of the month for me when I was reading the books!
  • Nina ♡ The Twilight Saga
    haha, so true!
  • twilightchic28
i really want to see the feathers and the look on edward and bella face when they find out she is pregnant.
  • Daniela23
Haha I love that part. Even though it is a serious situation I laughed so hard..especially when Edward wasn't moving and Bella asked Carlisle "can vampires go into shock ?" haha...
  • twilightchic28
    i know lol
  • mrsbolin2009
I'll be quite honest with everyone, I haven't read any of the Twilight series books. I just simply don't have the time. But, I do hope that they make the 4th book into a movie, just to help complete the story. Based on what I've read about it and the storyline, it does sound like it would make a great movie. I'm understand their concerns with having to downplay some scenes, such as the bloody birth, and figuring out how to make a vampire baby seem real. But I would imagine in this technological age that something can be done to make it a success, especially for the fans.
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
    *picks jaw up off floor*

You haven't read the books??? You're missing out :)

Don't worry about time :) when you start reading them you suddenly find all these potential hours of reading time you didn't know you had :) even if it means missing out on sleeping, eating and whatever :)
  • CindysGotOCD
yes I am 28 and never read a book.. in High School I would read the cliffnotes... but I read all the Saga and Midnight Sun and loved them... when I first got the set it was a Friday night I got home from being out for a friends birthday and sat down to read New Moon ( yes I cheated and started with that) I read till 6am that night because I had to keep reading until Edward was back and once he was back I read until the Vote.. than I went to sleep got up at 9:30am and finished the book...I have actually now found that I love to read but I am not sure of what I should read next.. I am now re-reading the Saga and just started Eclipse again yesterday.. Its amazing how much you forget when you read a book just once....
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
    Cool :)

You should try harry potter next. The books start out a very easy read :) they get a bit harder each book :)
  • LaPushbabyLaPush
HA! No kidding!........I found time where there was NO time!!!!!!!
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
EXACTLY! Once I started . . . there was no stopping. I lost a lot of sleep over these books in the beginning. Now I just read a couple of chapters a night!
  • kellie =)
yea i remember i day i got the book i read it all day and i couldnt stop reading it i stayed up all night reading they were the best books eva. when ppl tell me they love twilight and i ask them whats ur fav book and say i only saw the movie i am shock how can u rly like twilight without reading the books
  • LaPushbabyLaPush
GIRL! I know what "busy" is but...........COME ON!!! GET ON BOARD SISTER!!!!!!! Twilight (the book) is A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER than the movie!!! I CANNOT believe you haven't read them....wow.....
  • mrsbolin2009
Well, as I said, hopefully I'll be able to read them soon. I have heard that the books are better. Seems to be that way with most book/movie combos. I'm sure I'll read them soon.
  • RainBeau
The only thing that disappointed me about Twilight the film was how much of the humour and dialect they left out that went with Edward and Bella's kissing scenes. There is a lot of humour in the book that had me laughing out loud that was totally left out of the film.....I hope they don't do that if they get round to breaking dawn!!
  • mushy
    omg omg omg...
they better make a movie of breaking dawn,. its one of the best book ever...
and lots of funny things happen here,, and we all want to se renesmee,,, and how beautiful they will make bella... it wont be complete without breaking dawn...
  • AerosManders
As much as it saddens me...I doubt they will make the fourth book. I just don't see how it is possible. The main issue is Renesme. No child can act the part...and CGI would just look awful. Then there is the whole task of the birth scene.

Maybe a miracle will happen and they are able to pull it off.
  • AerosManders
    Oops...double posting. Stupid glitch.
  • joanna86 aka Charlie's Angel
"re-read it and start thinking about it" is enough to satisfy me... for now ;) it's great that they're actually COSIDERING it :)
  • maatje51
Ever since I have read the book, I've been thinking it would be really difficult to get this movie made. Firstly because of the physical changes Bella is going through in this book.
get pregnant, die almost, and be created in something her dad even doesn't regonize...
that will be difficult, but Nessie as wel because she grows really fast in the book.

I hope they will make it in to a movie but I hope they get everything right first, and if they think they can't make it now then please wait a year to get it right.
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
You would be amazed what they can do with CGI.... I have mentioned LOTR in several posts before but also Harry Potter, the Narnia movies, ect . . . all have used computer enhancement. Kristen Stewart looks like a completely different person when she is "glammed out." Look at different photo shoots done last year for Twilight. She could very well pull off Bella as a vampire. And if they can pull off the wolves, they will certainly be able to pull off Renesmee!

    No fears . . . it's possible.
  • FreakyGirl808
tsk tsk... ugh i don't even want to think about renesmee.. the plot it itself is weird.. this would be like r-rated... sigh..
  • Bella_1073
They have to make this into a movie. I'm sure it will have to rated R, but I'm sure parents will still take their kids! The way I see it, if they don't make it into a movie, there was no point in doing the other 3! They could do it in 2 movies or take almost 3 hours! Fans will sit there!!! there are plenty of movies that were very long. Also if they put their heads together, heck, call on the fans, they can come up with ideas on how to deal with Renesmee!! and her birth!
  • FEATHERS!
  • I want feathers too!
  • twilightisflippinawsome
i already have the twilight script...yay....it's not signed by melissa rosenberg, but it is by kristen stewart and robert pattinson
  • newmoon_897
i want to see rosalie getting thrown across the room by jacob :D that will be fun too see, ooooh and FEATHERS! :]
  • twilightus
I just can't imagine leaving the fans hanging that way -- if there is not a Breaking Dawn movie. How much of an injustice as a writer would that be? You don't write something have it published and let the fans fall totally in love with it and then say, but wait, I don't want you having everything! It's almost like Midnight Sun...........I agree get over it, figure it out and give us the fans, that have made this saga the obsession that it is, what we deserve, a complete set of movies!!!!!!!

    PRETTY PLEASE??????!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Skylines
Breaking Dawn was my least favourite of all the books, just thought it was a bit rushed... I'd still like to see it made into a move though. It would be a sin to leave us hanging like that. Haha.

I wonder how they'll do the birth scene...
  • AerosManders
I agree with "the least favorite" part. Dont get me wrong...I enjoyed the book...however it was this big build up to this massive "lord of the rings"-esk fight scene...and we get a conversation with mist and a shield. I just thought it could have been so much better. Also...the whole "imprinting" thing...I understand that its not sexual and all...but its still...awkward.
  • i love rob
Awww, I like your pic. He's such a cutie!!!! Love his smile!
  • Skylines
Thanks! I love his dimples, hehe.

I love your pic too, Rob looks super sexy as always. xD
  • i love rob
I am going to have to say, that I am extremely confident that Summit will make Break Dawn. I can't imagine that they won't. They are going to make sooooo much money with New Moon and Eclipse. And they know they'll make a crap load more with BD!!!

Remember ladies....this is a business. In the end, its all about the $$$$$$!!!!
  • RobRocks
Yea whatever...if they dont make BD they can shove that money up their A**. and ill happily do it for em.
  • Ditto. It's all about the money - and world domination. Summit can easily have both with the whole series...
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
If they DONT make the damn film..... they had better have a special feature on the eclipe DVD which has the Isle Esme trip.... just from when the boat docks at the Isle is fine summit!!!!!!!!!! :)

    LOL
  • nikkidip
Get over it , it would be really stupid not to make a 4th movie you did 4 books, should off that about all that before, hopefully the story will be instense and stick to the book as much as possible, fans would be preety disappointed if the 4th movie was not made
  • Gwenhuvera
Breaking Dawn as a movie? Not sure I can stand to see Edward rip Bella's uterus open with his teeth....I hated the entire pregnancy. Very unappealing.

I think the only way to make BD into a movie is to have little Nessie (why, oh, why did Stephanie give this kid such a horrendous name) age up to about 5 or 6 years old.

It would be neat to see all the vampire guests come to the Cullen house (especially the Romanians) but Summit better have a big budget if they are going to hire decent actors to fill the many, many roles. Big budget.
  • Cullengirl
It will be made it is stupid to stop in Eclipse where alot of things to place in BD. Jacob accepts his alpha duties, not to mention Edward is finally happy. As for the ratings, I've seen some questionable PG-13 flicks. Besides they know there are mature fans out there, who would not mind a rated R version.
  • Karla_Cullen1
Oh Plis ! Whats the point on starting a series without the closure!!! ????
  • GreenEyes34
BD needs to be done, can't make three out of four. The fan base will surface with revenge. I don't care if it is 3 hours or divided into two movies with 2 hours or more a piece.....and Yes, I too want to see the whole Isle of Esmee scene....especially Robert in the NUDE!!!! HHHOOOTTTT!!!! plus the feathers!!!! OK its getting warm again.
  • CindysGotOCD
PG 13..lol.. No nude Rob I'm thinking.....

Im seeing him standing in an ocean with the moon shinning down and we see his back...but you can tell he is tense( he's just that good at acting)... shirtless obviously ... than Bella take off her robe and we see just her from shoulders up walking to the water... than when she's far enough in you will see them pressed together under the moonlight.....music.. camera moves to moon.... next morning her waking up and we see feathers in her hair
  • GreenEyes34
Yeah that version sounds good....but can't we see maybe to the V line...that would be good for me. LOL When they are pressed against each other, music starts...they kiss, slowly sinking into the water, moves to the full moon then she wakes up the next morning with feathers everywhere.
  • CindysGotOCD
the V line... okay I almost just passed out thinking about that... I like your thinking! I guess i was keeping it PG
  • Cullengirl
I hope Stephenie gives her blessing on Breaking Dawn being rating R even though this means she will have to miss it. Come on she knows there are alot of adult fans who wouldn't mind it.
  • hartsafire
Ok, so maybe Summit will see how New Moon goes, because if its a disappointment, then they may not hire Miss or Mrs. Rosenburg to do the script for BD. Which in my opinion would be better because her adaptation kinda sucked for twilight, esp. after seeing the movie first and then reading the book. I saw alot of stuff that should have been included that would have made the film so much better, for god sake she used broke back mountain for her inspiration when writing the script. FYI- I have no problems with BBM. But I do agree with DeeDee they have to make BD into a movie. If not they will have a lot of upset fans who would never see another film made by Summit
  • CindysGotOCD
I agree she should of put so much more into it... 3 hour twilight would of been better.....Also the I Love You should of been in there....Someone on here pointed out that Edward murmured " I love you" when she was about to take off in the car with alice and jasper and it looks like he did... I think he just throw it in there because of he got into it....
  • Cullengirl
I know they want to see how much New Moon makes, but they are not silly they know NM will be big. They love torturing us but I do remenber after Twilight was released they announced New Moon. I know they will make it, I mean the whole point of Eclipse when Bella tells Edward next time she will do her part, we know what part she is talking about.
  • blueieze
R rating is anyone over 18 can get in. But anyone 17 or under must be admitted with an adult
  • edward_addicted
I agree with alot of ppl here, they can't just make 3 of them they have to make the 4th ! I don't see why they couldn't make it. If it has to be 3-4hrs or two movies just do it, I would gladly sit for even 10 hrs if thats what it took.( we know it wouldn't be but just saying) As far as Renesmee goes they have so much technology on there side they can come up with something, I don't care what they have to do but they better do it!!!! Bella on the other hand wounldn't be that hard through her changes I don't believe. The birth seen doesn't have to show the whole blood bath, they can do shots of there faces and yes some blood, but they don't have to do the whole cutting her open part im sure we would all get the idea of whats going on! And they have to do the Isle Esme that is one of the most important parts!!!! If it has to be made R rated so what go ahead and the parents of the children can decide if they want there kids to see it after they have seen it, Thats what I'm doin with my 10 yr old daughter.
  • RustyHalo
They have to realize that leaving all of us hanging without 'closure' if they don't make BD would cause total world chaos like they have never seen. Bring on the feathers or we'll break out our torches and hunt you down! lol
  • ForsakenMoon19
Umm i hate to step in here and spoil everyone's rift about this book, which i absolutely hate with a passion, but why is BD so important to all of you?!!!! when they announced Twilight was comming out and who was playing Edward, most of you were on the wrecking spree and talking down on it. alot of you said it wouldn't be as good on the screen and for some part it wasn't but why does this book need to be put to film? not just because i think it's awful and unsuitable but its way too controversial with suggestive material!!! i'm in my twenties but i just couldn't get into this book. way too graphic, violent and it completely destoryed the Bella and Jacob characters. i'm all for horror stuff because i am a fan but this series attracted me because of the forbidden love idea, now it's just junk thanx to BD!!!! i know i'm gonna be crushed after watching the ending of New Moon, because i know how everything turns out!!!!
  • MrsHale
Ok so I basically agree with what everyone is discussing on the board here. I think that it would be ridiculous for stephanie and summit to bite the hands that feed, and set the cash cow out to pasture. I'm so sick of people and the powers to be not sure to make it because of the birth, sex, or any other parts that might be to grahpic. Then maybe it shouldn't have been written that way. The book is perfect and the actions in the book are a natural step for adults that are married. Grow the f#@k up people. Not to mention the actor are not saints themselves, those that live in glass house should not throw stones. I think the fans would eventually turn on summit and stephanie. You can't just leave people hanging after the third movie, there are so many unanswered questions. Breaking Dawn is my favorite book of the series cause Bella gets everything she wants and deserves.
  • mrsbolin2009
LOL! I know, it's horrible :( I'd read them at work, but I can't. I'm sure I am missing out. Maybe sometime when stuff at home isn't so crazy with a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old :P
  • Hyper-nixs - Squeeeeeeee
I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old as well LOL

Honesty :) Time just opens up, i didn't watch any TV for weeks :)
  • mrsbolin2009
LOL! that is funny. I may try to read them sometime soon.
  • tweter76 . . . vamplover
I have a 2yr old and a 4yr old. I am also a single mom and own a business! It can be done!
  • CindysGotOCD
Not this topic again... They have to make the movie and they will.... I am confident in that1
  • jules60
I think it's a good sign if they asked her to read the book again. Summit bought the rights to Breaking Dawn, so don't they decide what the rating is going to be.
  • ashleylynn1116
I think they need to make breaking dawn into a movie.. WHy make the 1st 3 if she isnt going to make the last
  • EdwardLover23
Not being funny but i will be old enough by the time Braking Dawn comes out (if it does) so im not bothered really but i really do hope they make it into a film because it will be great but very costly and complex. Plus how long the film is- they would probably have to make it into two seperate films. Also the actors and actresess would be in their 20's, late 20's which may vreate an issue. Some scenes may be very hard to do including the birth and finding a three or so month girl with a full set of teeth and can speak, read, dance etc. But i still want it made into a movie because it would be a fantastic movie!! xD
  • Oh please let there be Breaking Dawn, if there isn't they shouldn't even have started with Twilight in the first place...?
  • I am not holding my breath for a BD movie. However they would be stupid not to make it. With Eclipse, unless Melissa works in a different ending, you are left with a bit of a cliffy. I don't have my book with me, it's out on loan, but Jacob runs off, and I thought (correct me if I am wrong) Bella and Edward formally agreed to marry.

You can't leave it hanging like that lol. Otherwise (if you have seen The Simpsons Movie remember the angry mob scene) Summit will be bombarded with angry Twifans.
  • RobRocks
    did you change your name?
  • Sadly I did change my name. Had to because I am brat and didn't want to share my TeamWolfPack name.
  • RobRocks
i like it....glad your back...youve been missing out on some fun conversations
  • lol thanks. I am catching up a little on the fun conversations. I hate that I missed them, but work was just really crazy. I barely had time to run to the potty lol
  • WinnafredJ
I'm not surprised Stephenie has said she wont sign off on an R-rated movie of BD. She is Mormon, so presumably she doesn't watch R-rated movies, why would she agree to have one of her books make into a movie she wont see?
  • MoreThanMyOwnLife
Breaking Dawn can easily be a movie. I really don't care if they have to "adjust" Renesme to fit the movie. Everyone obviously knows that it is close to impossible for her to be exactly the way she is in the book. Also..I do not see why everyone thinks BD has to or will be rated "R". The birth scene can be wayyyy edited...nobody wants to watch Edward get all bloody mouthed anyway..less kissable IMO LOL...and there can be one light honeymoon sex scene and the rest implied. You can be EXTEMELY sexy without actual sex scenes. I think it will be fine...But I will have to say that the movie has to be long. Atleast 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
  • Vampish
It would not make any sence for them to stop at Eclipse, the story ends with BD, you just can't leave it like that.
  • edward_addicted
I agree with alot of ppl here, they can make the movie and better !!!!! As far as Renesmee they have so much technology on there side they could make it work. I know that money is involved but im sure they will have it ! As far as the birth scene they could show head shots and im sure Edwards hands with some blood but they don't have to show the cutting of the stomach Im sure we would all know what is going on. As far as when he changes her If they can't show it all at least show a little of it, for that is one of the major parts as well as Isle Esme which omg....they better do !!! As for what they have to rate it who cares just make the movie, as far as the younger audiance leave that up to the parents to decide if their kids should watch it...thats what im doing with my 10 yr old. The movie may have to be long but i don't care i would sit there 10 hrs straight just to see it, if they have to split it up though fine just as long as the second part comes out not long after the first. I already can't wait till november ITS KILLIN ME....lol
  • LaPushbabyLaPush
I TOTALLY agree with you on: leaving it up to the parents to decide if their younger ones should see it...I would hope this is something parents do anyway with films that they let their kiddos go and see....I have a 10 and 9 year old; and if Breaking Dawn is TOO much...then ya know what; it's up to me to use discretion.....I let my 10 year old read Breaking Dawn; it was a PERFECT opportunity for questions and long talks with my daughter about certain things of life.....I liked what you had to say...They need to just film it!
  • edward_addicted
Thank you, and yes I hope parents do that anyways. I haven't let my daughter start reading the books yet but when school lets out for the summer next month i will, she will be wanting to bring them to school so thats why im waiting...lol.
  • SaucyCullen
There is NO good reason NOT to make Breaking Dawn!!! Until they come with an acceptable reason,BD SHOULD be made!!!!
  • Over30TwilightFan
OMG, you guys...I thought I was the only 31 year old who's totally obsessed with Twilight. I swear my books are breaking, I've read them so much. I love this site and check it everyday at least once (yes, while I'm at work. LOL) I was introduced to the books by my 13 year old niece...she keep begging me to read them, but I was like "it's about vampires, for Christ sake...I'm not going to read them" , but on a plane ride back home I caved. I haven't stopped since then, and I'm so glad I found this site....CANNOT WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER 20TH! I'm flying back home specially to see it with my niece :)
  • SaucyCullen
There is NO reason why BD cannot be made!!! And until they come with an acceptable reason it SHOULD be made!!!
  • Angie_P
Also Id like to refer to the post above:
    *****
    PG-13 - PARENTS STRONGLY CAUTIONED

Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

May contain moderate language, minimal strong language, some explicit nudity, intense violence, gore, or mild drug content.
    *****

It is highly possible to make Breaking Dawn a PG-13 movie...the rating calls for:
some explicit nudity, intense violence, & gore... BREAKING DAWN therefore can fall within this range... the movie can be done with integrity ... noone is saying it has to be a gore-fest like friday the 13th... but we have to be true to the nature of the book... SM cannot be like * oh no... we cannot show the birth scene, its too graphic* if she was the one to write it... there are solutions to everything without running it. Please keep in mind: it's definitely up to parents to decide if they want their 12 year old to see it.
  • OhEdward (The Original)
I will be at the Festival of Books on Saturday - any questions you all would like me to ask Ms. Rosenberg? And for the record, I'm 43 with teenaged and adult children. I am new to this kind of obsession and hope I don't go over the cliff of insanity. I've got a degree in English Lit and these books grabbed me by the guts and have a firm hold on me. We are doing Twilight for our mother daughter book club meeting that we are hosting Friday night. I love your comments, cat fights (hilarious), and insite. Lastly, as embarrassing as it is to be this old and infatuated with these books -- I'm glad I'm not alone.
  • crookedsmile
You are definitely not alone. I only read the books in January and went to see the film Twilight in February (I am in my 30s). It was in its last days of screening here and I chose 10am on a school morning thinking no-one would be in the cinema (I wanted to take my 4 month old with me to feed). Anyway, the cinema was almost full of 20, 30 and 40 something women (who were mostly there by themselves) - not a teenager in sight. They were all attractive and some in business attire! Everyone looked a little sheepish. It was so amusing. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think they understand how big the fan base out there is as a lot of the older women are trying to hide their fascination with these books. Lol!
  • OhEdward (The Original)
Thanks for sharing this with me. It does make me giggle that I'm more into it than my 14 year old daughter. I guess I have found my coven here with all of you. Thanks for the welcoming arms.
  • jules60
OhEdward, you are not the only one I know people who are 60 that are reading the books!
Would you ask Rosenberg what exactly is the whole up with Breaking Dawn? I hope you read all the comments , let her pass on to Summit that they should make Breaking Dawn, otherwise they will have a riot on their hands. We know there is new Technology out there it was use for The Courious Case of Benjamin Button, that movie was made in 2008. Let her know the what the fans expect. Thank you, let us know what she says.
  • TheLionFellIn<3W/Ceci-ROBECI
Oh c'mon!! Not this again... is it still a question as to if it's worth making BD into a movie?? Well, I have the same answer as always: YES!! It's so worth it... I need this... it won't be the same if it just ends in Eclipse... no, no no... please... Steph step up and manage it... WE know you can do it.. lol.. please!!
  • dayana
what is wrong with Meyer....she is becoming a bit of a B.... firstly she didnt want to make midnight sun...now breaking dawn..what is her problem...us her fans have done so much in supporting her...we want breaking dawn into a movie...
  • OhEdward (The Original)
Will pass on the gist of what I have seen on the boards - I bet she knows.... Will report back from duty if I can get near her.
  • Angie_P
I tried posting this earlier but it doesn't appear.

What I wanted to say was that I truly believe that Breaking Dawn would make a phenomenal movie. I compare it to Batman: Dark Knight. Think abut it.

The pg 13 rating can be worked with... it allows for partial nudity, violence, and gore. Now we don't have to go all * horror flick* but we can respect the novel and include these dark themes within the movie without making it cheesy.

SM needs to stop worrying about how *her own words* will transpire on screen... she wrote it with artistic integrity and thus, the movie should reflect that. It should not be sugar coated for tweens... who may not be as affected by storyline & plot, but by hot robert and taylor...lol

Either way the movie will be successful, I just believe that as the last of the novels... we deserve the full potential... no fade to black.
  • Angie_P
I think people misunderstood the stand off between the cullens and the Volturi.

I picture very much like a battle... that the Volturi CANNOT win.... they were even trying to play dirty. They tried... with Jane and Alec... Bella blocked them... this can be a very dramatic scene... especially when the Volturri realize they have a not-so-great chance as winning...
It wasn't like: Hey... wow u have power... oh well, bye take it easy then...
Also... the imprinting this IS weird... that's why it's going to be awesome seeing Bella freak out when she finds out...
  • Cullengirl
Isn't the Haunting in Connecticut PG-13? I agree that the birth sounding brutal but we just hear what is happening we don't see it. Sure we can see some blood, as for the love scenes, the Notebook was rated PG-13 and it had the raciest love scene ever.

As for the ending I wouldn't mind seeing the Cullens and friends kick some Volturi butty.
  • I didn't about this. The role of Renesmee (as other have said) could easily be done with CGI. I won't repeat the examples others have given, but in the movie "Shoot Em Up" they CGIed an infant that was carried in a backsack. The baby was very realistic.

    Get moving Summit! hehe
  • i really hope they make breaking dawn but so far i think things r sounding pretty darn good for it to be made .......i really hope they make it a movie :D
  • Kimoppi
I agree with everyone else. The CGI Renesmee should work out well... as long as Summit is willing to put in the money for GOOD CGI work.

As for the birth. It's completely possible to do it from Bella's perspective. A bit foggy and first person, like they did for the James scene in Twilight. It doesn't have to be obviously graffic to get the point across. It's absolutely brutal, but that doesn't make it impossible to film either. It's all about being tactful.

I'd still prefer to see BD as two movies... from the wedding to the birth as the first... and then maybe from Bella's turning to the end as the second. It would be interesting if no one even SAW Renesmee until the second movie. Or maybe that's just me.
  • *Spoiler Alert* Breaking Dawn must be made! We need to see the wedding and all the drama that happens in the woods with Jacob during the reception. I would love to see Edward tell him to back off! Isle Esme is of course a pivotal moment in the series. How great would it be if we saw Rob's butt walking to the water....all naked! heehee Of course we need to see feathers flying and broken head boards. And I really want to see Edward 'pluck' the feather's out of Bella's hair. (I love that line!) We need to see Edward and Bella's reaction to her being pregnant and then the pregnancy it self. I'm also wanting to see the Jacob agonizing over Bella's pain and he, Seth, and Leah running laps around the Cullen house. I love their dialogue on those scenes. We of course need to see little Renessme and all her cuteness too. Seeing Jacob imprint on her will be very interesting to watch as well. And of course, how cool would it be to see all of the vampires at the Cullen house there to 'witness' on behalf of Renessme. I really want to see Bella get a power and she has got to say the "I'm all over this" line to Edward when they are fighting the Volturi. Love that line! And last but not least, how great would it be to see Edward's face when at the end of the movie he can finally read Bella's mind? And they live happily ever after....

**Of course there are a ton of other scenes and moments that need to be included in the film, like Bella's interaction with J. Jenks. But, you get the point - the movie has to be made to complete the the series. Edward and Bella need to get married and she needs to become a vampire. The other books/movies prepare us for an eventual marriage and vampire Bella dammit and I want to see it! LOL

**To be made correctly, I believe this film would need to be rated 'R.' Anyone under the age of 17 can always see the movie with an adult. Stephenie may have meant to write these books for teens, but it has turned into a phenomenon for all ages and her writing along with my imagination does not have 'Breaking Dawn' as being a PG 13 film.

Ok...I'm done now and have said my peace. I really, really hope 'Breaking Dawn' is made into a film. Maybe Summit will confirm it as a movie the weekend 'New Moon' comes out when we've surpassed 'Twilight's opening weekend numbers! :o)

I remenber they announced New Moon after Twilight was out in theaters, they are focusing on one movie at a time.
  • nemesis_robward's girl =D
they have to make it....they can't be that cruel to make 3 movies and leave the 4th hanging from a wall.... that's all i have to say....
  • isabearz11
i cant wait forr the move im gona see it wit like 3 dif people
  • WinnafredJ
It wouldn't surprise me if Stephenie Meyer refused to let the movie be made if it were to be R-rated. She is Mormon right? Most Mormons do not watch R-rated movies, so why would she want her book made into a movie she wouldn't see? I don't think it's an R-rated book, maybe PG-13.
  • blakeftn
if Breaking Dawn isn't a movie I'll hate stephenie meyer. this is beyond ridiculous
  • RobCakes
For God's sake, will someone just fire Melissa Rosenberg already?
I mean, she did a crappy job with the Twilight script. So many important scenes were missed out, as well as the emotions that draw you into the book. I personally think it could have been written better. I am hoping she will improve with New Moon with Chris directing it and having a bigger budget, but if she writes BD and messes it up I won't be a happy fan!
  • SuperEmm
You really have to listen to the audio book of 'Breaking Dawn'!!
The part in Jacobs view point is so funny!
'Cause when Bella speaks, the voice is soooo crrreeeepppyyy and ssoooo
    funnyyyy!!
you really have to check it out! When I first heard it I just burst into laughter!!
    XD

I'm confused on why Stephine would be still wondering if BD could be turned into a movie? I have to say I get the feeling all along shes the one who really isn't into it. JMO.. I cant imagine why it couldn't be made, and if its not well I personally will never buy her books again that's how hurt I would be... just being honest.
  • 30yearoldtwifan "Team Slade"
well if summit bought the rights already to BD I dont know what rights SM has to stop them, does anyone know?
  • i dont think it mentions anywhere here that SM will stop it. Chillax, people. it will be made, trust me. if only for the money ;).
  • Kimoppi
If Summit already bought the rights, then SM no longer has a say. Summit has been really nice about letting SM participate in the process and making a cameo and all that... but usually once you sell the rights to a book the production company can bastardize the story all they like.

But it does sound like Summit, CW, and lots of other people making the movie are really listening to the fans more than most would. It makes me feel better about things. The first movie was OK, but I'm hoping they'll make up for it with New Moon.
  • EdwardIsGorgeous
Okay. So I just saw the Twilight movie and it was AMAZING! I thought that it would be stupid and all but it was and amazing movie! I was very very mad that the movie stop as it did, so I am glad they are making New Moon. I hope they make Eclipse and I really hope they make Breaking Dawn! I would be very mad if they didn't because we all are paying to see these movies and then they don't make the final one where it is the most important because it closes the series! I really want to see Breaking Dawn as a movie!
  • Candice
I can answer her question.YES YOU CAN MAKE THAT INTO A MOVIE!
Why in the HELL would you leave us hanging ?
That would be wrong and im sure you would lose fans!
I think Breaking Dawn would be the BEST DAMN MOVIE!
Granted it would be VERY long. And the rating should be R
Considering its full of sex blood and other stuff!!
    So,yes movie,rating R,make it long.Dont cut NOTHING out!!!!
  • ladylutz
