Oh gosh, me too, on everything. Those songs they put in Twilight just fit so perfectly with the moods of the scenes. I hope they put more of his songs in New Moon. Does anyone know where I can get more of his songs? I only have the two from Twilight.

he loves his music so much but wouldn't want to release anything properly and officially yet because he knows that some people will just think he's using the heat from twilight to promote his music career... doesn't knowing that make you just like him more though??? lol what a gorgeous guy.

but also, i totally agree about liking Rob and not just Edward. when i first saw twilight i imagined rob as being a lot like his character and got excited...but he's not like him at all (only in the musical, beautiful looking sense)...AGAIN this shows he's such a great actor. god, he's such a well balanced guy and is so worthy of being famous for so many reasons. he doesn't take himself seriously and seems really approachable. aaaah i could go on and on and on, but shall stop as i've realised i'm completely blabbing.

F or me it has nothing to do with the fact he plays Edward. I love his personality from what I've seen in interviews etc, he is a great musician, has a great face and yes he is beautiful. But he is extremely humble and doesn't want to be in the spotlight 24/7, he cares about his co stars, like the other night when he didn't go to Jacksons 100monkeys gig because he didn't want the spotlight being taken away from the band. He's just a great all round guy...Now I'm not saying I love him and want to have lots off babies with him. I like him and respect him as an actor. But then he is more known in the UK than he is anywhere else, I have always liked his work from tv, to his films.

I mean I love n respect Rob for his personality and talent not because he played Edward Cullen!! i mean alright he's hyper sexy in twilight and everything but i kinda already liked him in Harry Potter. to be honest when I first saw him on tv or sth I didn't really pay attention... but then my friend had me listen to some interviews on youtube and literally I fell in love :)
and this had absolutely NOTHING to do with Edward.
I know that I don't know him, but he seems everything I look for in a man - witty, modest, talented, cheerful, clever, down to earth.... ah:)
and after that, something about his looks fell into right place too - his smile, his eyes, the shape of his jaw (LOL) and of course his HAIR ;)

I'm with you joanna, I always imagined Edward different (a little dorkier I guess), but Rob does great and he's the best actor I could imagine playing him.

I also like Rob from interviews. I first saw him in Twilight and wasn't THAT impressed (sure, he's hot but...what else??), then I saw all of his interviews and he's just hilarious...and smart, and he marches to the beat of his own drum, and he doesn't go out and change his style or personality to be like everyone else. And like he says, he's not a puppet! It's...it's...I can't think of the word! Admirable. That's it!

That is certainly true for a lot of people. I do like Rob because of the real HIM though, not his character.

I can honestly say Robert Pattinson is the one who made me interested in seeing Twilight. I had not heard of the series at the time, and wanted to see more of this incredibly gorgeous man who piqued my curiosity. Of course- I fell in love with Stephenie Meyer’s world of mythological creatures and became a fan of the saga (and "Edward’s"). However, I will always be a fan of Robert Pattinson- first. The man oozes talent, has a lovable dorky sense of humor, and a gorgeous accent (and singing voice) to boot. I think he is an incredibly fine actor who really dives into each role head first. He can never be typecast by Hollywood because, judging from his films, not one character looks alike, or even sounds alike! Rob really is a true chameleon and I cannot wait to follow his career! Rob really is one of a kind. ;}

Personally, I think it is a little of both. I think the exposure from Twilight has made people look at him as Edward, which they shouldn't. I personally don't see him as Edward, but I have to admit that seeing him in the role of Edward made me take an interest in him. Once I saw the movie, I started watching his interviews and listening to his music. I didn't think he was that sexy, even in the movie, until I started watching his interviews. He has a great personality, is extremely modest and funny, has a great accent and singing voice, and finally, he is extemely good looking. He has the total package, which is why I think a lot of people are becoming obsessed with him : )

Hmm....I wouldn't say no one gave a crap about him when he was in Harry Potter & GOF. I actually thought Rob was really handsome when I saw that film. I also think he's a very talented musician and has great potential in both an acting or music career. After Harry Potter, he dropped off the radar a bit, especially here in the US. He's spoken about it himself in various interviews. At the time, I don't think much was said or heard about his musical talents. While Rob, Katie Leung, Stanislov Ianevski, and Clemence Poesy portrayed characters essential to GOF, there wasn't much said about them in promotional materials. Most interviews were about the three central actors, Daniel, Emma, and Rupert. So, it's the fact that Rob is now a lead in a popular movie, which is becoming a franchise, that has given him more exposure, thus creating the larger, and sometimes more excitable, fan base.

Could people be freaking because he is Rob AND because he portrays Edward? Yes, that's a possibility. I wouldn't say all of his fans react that way, or if they do react that way, that it's solely because they associate him with Edward.

On another note, I have no idea if you're a fat, ugly-looking guy. I think you're a guy who needs to become more comfortable with yourself.....your manlihood....your sexuality....whatever you want to call it. The fagel comment was stupid and weak. No one thinks anything about your sexuality because you believe Jacob is cool and funny, however because of that comment, they will think you're a homophobe.

You have a point there about GoF. His role wasn't that small but it wasn't that big. All attention was pointed at Daniel, Emma and Rupert...which is normal.
A lot of people are pointing that out, oh he was in Harry Potter and no noticed him. It wasn't Rob's leading role so people can't say well no one payed any attention to him. If it was then it would be different. I thought he was really good looking in it, but I didn't know anything about him. I think I didn't even see any interviews with him at that time.
And as you said he wasn't in public eye after that.

I am sure there are girls that are attracted to him because he potrayed Edward, but I also think with broadening of the franchise when we get to know the actors more people like him as Rob, as an actor..a person.

I wasn't really involved when Twilight was filmed, and when I saw the movie I didn't go crazy over him. But when I saw him in random interviews then he became interesting to me personally. I can never be interested in an actor just because of the role he's playing. It always has to do with his personality so I like him as Rob.
I am really looking forward to other roles he'll portray.:D

Same thing here, in fact, i dont find edwards character very atractive. Dont get me wrong, every girl will love a BF so polite, interesting and correct, but i will find it a little bit too much after a while. I prefer robert because 1. he's human, well he's actually real!, and 2.i just love his sense of humor and there's nothing bad about a boy who can make you laugh. Besides, i discovered twilight because of the movie, and that edward its different from the one in the books, or i just belive so.

BTW, everytime i re-read the book i always picture edward and bella differents from kristen and robert, and if the question is about be completely mad about a character, in my case that would be jasper, i just love him (and jackson but who wouldnt love that smile and specially after seeing him singing!)

I think it is the character-Edward. Also, Rob can be pretty hot at times. I also do like Jacob better, and also the actor who plays him, Taylor better.

I agree. While a select few fans were aware of Robert Pattinson before Twilight . . . how many of them were CRAZY over Rob? Not many . . . he wasn't at "heart-throb" status until Twilight came out.

It's definitely the character of Edward, but it's more the way Rob plays the character...for me it's that whole tortured take on it that gets me...the intense difficulty and personal struggle with every touch and every kiss...he just really captures that. I don't know why I gravitate toward that part, but I do...maybe I'm just -- masochistic -- LOL and I imagine his pain.

BTW - nice picture of Alice...my husband said that was the one character that he found attractive. (Actually, I think she's the only reason he actually sat through the whole movie - LMAO)

My husband has heard so much of it (along with my threats to cover him with glitter to make him sparkle) that he's just waiting patiently on the sidelines for my obsession to wear off...(Yeah, right!)

Love it! I totally relate to this cause I found my soulmate (I'm not bragging...really!) and love is such a powerful thing! I really do love this part of the story too...sheesh...I guess I just love the WHOLE thing! Every now and then, I'll be like, well, I like it cause of so-and-so but then I'll realize something else and something else and -- ug-- then I just have to go watch it again. I just know I'm up to the high teens, maybe even twenties and I still squirm in my seat and laugh and stop breathing at all the same places.

Quoting a previous conversation I was in this weekend, we're all going to a Twilight institution - complete with padded rooms and a full size cardboard image of Rob (or Jacob or Emmett or Jasper or Carlisle - just depends on which wing you're committed to). Hi I personally like Rob Pattisnson the actor i thought he was really good as Cedric Diggory and i liked him then as when i was at school that charactor would have been who i would have looked at instead of the most popular kid Cedric was the one who was good at everything. But anyway i am getting off point i dont think its really fair to say i spose i like him for him because i dont know him and i most likely will not ever get a chance to even chat to him on a personal/acquaintance leval but i would say that i am attracted to the actor and not the charactor. Hopes this helps explain the phenominum.

Wow, everyone's so lucky. I seems as if once they meet one of the actors or actresses from the Twilight cast, then they end up meeting the others too. I wonder how that works.

I like both Rob and Edward. Rob because he seems like a real person(no pun intended). you know like he doesnt lie and he speaks his mind, and he actually thinks about his answers. Oh and he is unbelievably HOT! (The HOLY GRAIL of New Moon hotness!).
Edward because he is the perfect guy in every aspect. He is hot yes, but he is also has personality. you know, he's sensitive, caring, funny, loving, and willing to kill for the ones he loves. He is every womans dream. and even though he is fictional, it seems like he is real.
These people that get to meet the cast by chance are so lucky.
It was also nice of her husband to give up his California aniversary vacation for his wife to trac down the New Moon cast. wish i had a guy that would do that for me.

I just finished the twilight series tonight. Like an hour ago. I'm so SAD it's over, I don't want it to end. I just want to keep reading until everything becomes REAL infront of me. I love Edward Cullen. I love Robert Pattinson. I love the entire character cast, as well as the real life cast. I don't think they could of picked better people and shown their personalities so clearily .I think im Twilight detoxing right now. I hope Stephanie writes a 5th book!

I never watched Harry Potter or read the books. I agree with some others here. He is his own person; even his interviews make him endearing. He is charming and a little shy which makes him all the more handsome. He reminds me a little of James Dean....a quiet rebel. Look at his GQ pics and tell me he is not ' A Rebel Without A Cause'. I adore him.

I think that everyone has a Edward Cullen in their life! Someone they wish they could have and no they never will. With Rob he put a face on a fictional character that every woman wants in a man! Also like everyone else said, he is adorable, and if you haven't seen his interviews, they are amazing and you get to see him for who he really is!
