Based on these photos, and if we are awesoming that is to be the break-up scene, it looks as if he is breaking up with her in the parking lot at school (that will not work and just cannot be) Heads Will Roll!

So, hopefully that's not the case, and for my own sanity, i'm not going to start speculating just yet.

No no no! I am not believing that these pictures are off the break up, maybe its when she brings the camera to school and gets everyone to take pictures around the lunch table, it's a couple off days after that that the break up happens. And also I don't care if its a digital camera, we are in the naughties not the nineties, off course they will change a few things just like they did with Bella's computer in Twilight. Things like this shouldn't matter as long as they stick to the book ie storyline.

I agree with you...as long as they stick to the book as much as possible it doesnt matter to me. I just hope they stay with the breaking up in the woods, if not that would be suicide for the movie

i think (which would also make sense because of the camera) that it's like deedee said shortly before the actual break-up, when bella notices somethink is wrong but is afraid to push her point...

I agree. I don't care what the book says, in this instance, using a film camera would feel weird (and dated).

We can only guess what scenes they are filming, we won't know until we see the final movie, but it is fun and will be interesting to see if any of us are right. The second pic could be Bella looking pissed because she thinks Edward bought her a birthday present! I'm sure they wouldn't be stupid enough to film the break up scene at school, but of course with the magic of CGI they could be in a forest by the time we see it on screen.

I've said this in a post before, the digital camera, although a change from the book can have the same impact. Edward could remove the memory card before she has time to upload onto her laptop (also a change from the book!) so when he tells her it's under her bedroom floorboards she will still have the pictures. He wouldn't erase them.

Maybe its the scene before the actual break up. When they are leaving school and he asks if he can come to her house and he offers to take the envelope of pics (for her mom) to mail. Bella is already feeling uneasy....she knows there is something up with Edward!

Yeah, and we have to remember, Bella is not always a bundle of laughs. She didn't smile very much in Twilight, so really anything could be happening here. I think if it was the break-up scene she would look a bit more distraught - I certainly would if Edward was breaking up with me!

this scene could also be AFTER the party where Jasper almost kills her. This is where Bella knows something is up, she knows that Edward wants to tell her something (obviously he wants to break up with her)...her face seems like "what do u want to tell me" not "oh no dont break up with me"....u guys get me??? this seems more reasonable than it being the break up scene....like IndiesR said, HEADS WILL ROLL!!!....the break up has to be in the woods, thats where she sees Sam again and them looking for her....=D

I totally agree with you. Most uncool break up possible. Way out of line for Edward. Also you hit the nail on the head. If he leaves her in the parking lot, then how can he leave her in the forest? - a critical piece of the novel and essential in understanding her nightmares to come.

I think the camera is fine. It doesn't bother me that it's digital.
And I don't think it's the break up scene for the same reason IndiesR said: they are in the school parking lot, and chris WOULD NOT make it like that...would make the movie all off track and bogus.

I think since they are going to condense the 3 days into one or two, this is when she goes to school and asks Jessica to take pictures of everyone, hence the digital camera, so there will not be a wait period for picture development, that was the day that Alice was not there.

I dont't think, that this is breack-up scene. In the book, Edward leaves her in the forest! I think this is maybe the scene, when she comes to school in the morning and isn't happy about her 18th birthday ... but we can never be sure, because they often change something in the movies. In twilight for example are always diffrents between the book and the movie...

Edward breaks up with her in the forest and she gets lost, lay on the ground, Sam finds her, etc....that's a vital part to the story, I think, they just cannot leave that out.

I think what bugs me from all the photos is the fact they have changed Edward's car from the C30 volvo to what looks from what ive seen an S class Volvo in GUNMENTAL.. (and yes i know that in the books his car is supposed to be an S60R Volvo in silver.. but Bella's car is supposed to be a 1953 chevy and not the 1963 she drives in the movie. The models look totally different) helllo... silver car! that would be the 2nd car colour change they have made in just New Moon.

I didnt like the fact that they changed his car in Twilight either, it looked like a station wagon, even though it was to be more sporty. :)

I'm sorry but I just don't agree. All of the Cullen cars are beautiful, and he drives a grocery getter in the movie. I don't care how fast it goes it's still not an Edward car to me. I'm a MOM and I wouldn't drive it. Plus if we really want to get all technical, can you really see Rosalie climbing in and out the back of that thing :)! I just can't.

I like the twilight one. the C30 is a great car and honestly actually is faster the S60 which is more like a Cullen car. I dont like the new car .. I dont like the fact its GUNMETAL! and its not sporty anymore!

Yeah I know. When I went to see the movie, I was not impressed by that car at all and it def was not what I had in mind when reading it. This car looks way better and like something Edward would actually drive, not to mention it is closer to Stephanie's vision, which is the most important. It's just a shade darker people relax, silver grey same difference.

This is probably the day of her party or the day after it, before they finish school and go into the forest to "talk ". I agree.....a digital camera is no big deal! In Twilight Bella had a really nice Mac notebook....in the book, she had some super old PC! In the movie, Bella had an iPod....in the book, a CD player!

I personally don't think that they would have the break up scene in the parking lot. Chris weitz said he wanted it to be as close to the books as possible so i doubt they would have it there. Perhaps she has that look on her face because he said he wouldn't be coming home with her, that he was going to his house first!
I honestly don't think the camera really matters, its still a camera, it does the same thing.

So I think everyone agrees on the fact that this should not be the break up sence. First off I really hope Kristen's face is more devasted and second off it HAS to be in the woods.
Thats basically a HUGE part of the beginning of the book. But I'm super pumped for the movie to come out! I think it should be amazing!

The camera isn't as upsetting than if they get the breakup scene wrong. It HAS to be near the woods so that Bella can wander off to be "snuffled" by Sam in his wolf form....if they get this scene wrong I am gong to be pissed!! It's the first round about "mention" of the wolves. The breakup scene has to be dead on!!!

Getting back to Edward's Volvo in Twilight... I know what happened to it... some fan won it on the Tyra Banks show...LOL (seriously). However, I do agree they shouldn't have changed it. They should keep the same details if they want the fans to believe it's as close to the book as possible.

It doesn't have to be the breakup scene, it could just be showing Bella's anxiety and worry before it actually happens, since she knows for days before that he is shutting off from her, but she is preparing to deal with it in her own way, and when she tries to talk to him he leaves her.

I do not think Chris Weitz change beckons .. more important that the separation of them in the forest scene .. this is probably another occasion on camera .. whatever, I think I would not change anything.

I dont think they will just erase the photos from the camera. I think Bella will print them, and put them in the album Reneé has given her. Then Edward will "steal" the pictures from the album, just like in New Moon

I'd like to see that as a flashback scene when he's already left. Because he's going to be in the movie more than in the book, right? Maybe after he's left he can be remembering all the pain and such through quick little flashes. Enough to show people that he loves Bella and is in a lot of pain.

I'm HOPING the break up scene is like it is in the book. Maybe this is her telling him not to make a big deal about her birthday? Or this is the day after the disastrous party, and Bella is trying to figure out what is wrong with him?

SO I think they are write about the first photo. But the first time I saw the second one I thought she was just pouting over her birthday. If it is the break up scene it will ruin the movie 1. the break up has to be in the woods, he has to leave her there and Sam (or at least someone) has to find her. It adds so much to the story. The stuff that happened directly after the breakup (the chapter were the break up happens and the one after) makes me understand how depressed Bella is. Without that the movie will not express the fillings it needs to to be good. 2. Bella doesn't even look that sad she just looks like she is pouting. We need to see her literally fall apart.

Def looks like when she founds out about the party. Not a break up scene. As someone stated before, her arm is not even wrapped. And they look a lil too happy with each other, so it's def not the break up scene. And I'm glad they changed the Volvo. The one in Twilight was so not Edward, Stephanie's vision, or impressive. This one looks soo much better and more ideal of a Cullen.

The Second, no, i don't think its the break-up, I think its the day of her birthday when Bella's talking to Edward about not making her birthday a big deal.
Kristen is making that face, it's the face she made in the Twilight DVD back cover, and when in Twilight Edward and Bella "dances" in his room.

I think, based on these pictures, that it is not the break scene yet. Remember in New Moon when he arrives at school with Bella and basically gives her the cold shoulder? That whole time her "woman's intuition" is kicking in and she is talking about something bad is going to happen. I may be wrong but I thought in the parking lot, just before the break up, that she asks if he is coming over that night.

They can't cut the break up in the forest because we are introduced to Sam when he finds her. Not just in his human form but he first finds her in wolf form. She says something about hearing an animal breathing but didn't care to look up. Too pivotal for too many reasons.
