We were at the Bella house last night while they were filming! So exciting!

I saw them setting up the set today, It's the perfect place, beatiful.

yeahhhh that was def up at cap university... past the grave yard on the road up to the water reservoir.... They are gone now though :(.... but apparently security was so tight that no one got in and they couldn't see anything!!!

There is a different scene that is in the woods. Remember??? WHat about after the breakup and she runs into the woods??.. or when she is going to the Cullen house..loaded with ferns.. I am still with you on this one. I think its the meadow. but I am not sure that I pictured it like this. Ahh well Rob will be in that scene anyways.. "talking" to her- that makes any scene better!! I totally agree with you. I was disappointed when I saw the meadow in twilight. I had imagined a meadow beutiful and sunny, with a LOT of flowers. Not dark and moisty as in the movie. Hope they change it in NM.

While I'm excited that things are moving right along with the filming of the movie, I'm slightly bothered that another set has been hunted down and found. It seems like this set in particular would be difficult to have "crowd control" in place should it need it. Idk . . . maybe it's just me being overprotective of the creative process . . .but I hope this location stays under wraps for the most part.

Your totally right and I wish people would stop asking to disclose the location, we've seen what happened when the school was revealed, it was cringe worthy. I had to go hide under my rock for a couple off hours after I seen the videos and it hurt my ears. Lol. And a girl trying to throw herself into Rob's car, its just crazy!

Dude, I just don't want the creative process to be screwed up because of fans. And either scene in woods are soooo important. It would not be beneficial to the actors to have a bunch of screaming fans hanging around during the intense filming of the break up scene or Laurent/Wolves scene.

Most likely, I don't think it's the meadow, like everyone's mentioned, it's not open at all. Not even a little. So it's probably for when she loses him, and when she has her dreams. She says that she dreams a lot, about running through forests, and finding nothing, and being alone? That's just what I think anyways .. It makes some sense at least.

Set locations cannot be disclosed on fansites, it would cause mass hysteria and the cast would never get their job done. We've already seen what a certain newspaper has done by disclosing the location off the school.

This is the scene where Edward breaks up with Bella and she wanders off and gets lost. Its not the Laurent scene because that's in the same meadow where Edward and Bella have their moment in Twilight. It's an open meadow, and the wolves come out from between the trees. This is not that part. Close, but no cigar.

well it's not a meadow, but it looks very much like the forest in the scene where bella says tells edward that she knows hes a vampire.

all these comments make me laugh.. mostly because Mrs. Meyer is not very skillful when it comes to descriptions (she only nailed edward) so almost everything is open to all kinds of interpretation..

She definetly didn't go into as detailed a description about everything as other authors would. But I think she did a great job, I was able to completely picture everything she wrote about. But yeah it does leave some room open for interpretation.

She wrote it as she saw it in her head and I thought her descriptions were great. I would imagine that she did not think her books would be made into movies while she was writing them....

No, but she did say that while writing it was like watching a movie in her head. I have to say this is much better than a couple of purple flowers and some moss being thrown down in the middle of a golf course!

well there's a difference between seeing something in your head and putting it down on paper.. that's why not everyone is a writer.. it doesn't matter that she didn't think there would be a movie made.. writer's tool are words..

Understood, but a screenplay was made OF her words so that is what was seen in the movie. Almost every non-fiction novel can be considered open to interpretation. I stick by what I said...I think S meyer is wonderfully descriptive in all 4 of the Twilight Saga books.

well, i know you guys all love your steph and of course have every right to defend her concerning all kinds of critique.. but you know, criticism is not generally a negative thing.. it makes us do better.. so steph still has plenty of room to learn.. in her books, she made a great skeleton, now she just has to upgrade.. don't get me wrong - with those being her first books, not bad at all.. anyway i'm an extremely visual person, that's why i'm not a writer.. but i do read.. if you ever read kafka than you would know that there would be absolutely no misinterpretation regarding his interiors or exteriors.. that's all i'm saying..

I don't believe Kafka is regarded as a young adult fiction writer - at least he hasn't won any children's book awards that I know of! Stephenie's books have been edited for this particular market so the language is much simpler and therefore has its limitations. Nevertheless, I think her descriptions are incredibly vivid. The ambiguity within her novels is what makes them so exciting because there are many ways of interpreting them and no right or wrong answer. You could never call them boring. Well that's my 2c worth.

Wow . . . now we're comparing Stephenie to Kafka . . . Really? I am going to go out on a limb here . . . as an English Lit major myself . . . and say that part of what is so intriguing about Stephenie's Saga is that she allows the reader to use their imagination. And for you to claim that the only description she got right was "Edward" makes me think you have not really read the books. She is gives solid details about the look of each of her characters as well as the various locations that the Saga takes place. Perhaps someone who considers themselves a "visual" person shouldn't be critiquing written works. Just a thought.

It could be a number of things. Break up scene, motorcycle riding, Laurant meeting, or it could be Bella and Jake hiking to find the meadow.

It's supposed to be the meadow that Bella and Edward were in!
Then again, they didn't show the meadow too much in the movie, just a little.
But, other than that, I think it's a pretty good place.

This is not a meadow and that's all there is to it. However; they were not in the meadow when Edward broke up with Bella, but in the woods and then she wondered even farther into the woods. Hard to imagine it with these rather sparse and dry looking trees especially with bleachers and junk cluttering stuff up. I'm used to the deep green mossy forests in Twilight.

Okay, maybe I judged harshly...I suppose I'm not allowing for movie magic.

No way is that a meadow. WTF are these people for real thinking its a meadow. A meadow by definition is a naturally made field. There are no trees close by in a meadow. For example, the baseball scene is in a meadow. That is not an actual baseball diamond. Its just a field the Cullens set bases up to play.

I agree with others its prolly when Bella and Edward take a walk on the trail behind her house, and eventually he leaves her.

The meadow in Twilight was in the middle off the forest, it was described as them walking through the forest and coming through a break in the trees and there was a perfectly round meadow surrounded by trees.

I have to say that I think this looks more like the spot they'd film for the woods behind Bella's house than the meadow. Especially if they are bringing in more trees to make it seem like thicker woods . . . it would be appropriate for when she gets lost.

Yeah, I will be crying. I usually am sobbing reading the book and that's not usual for me. I cry at movies, usually, but not often while reading books except for a couple really good ones (like New Moon of course)

This doesn't look like a meadow to me. I'm thinking maybe they will ride motorcycles here. A meadow is an open space where the sun can get in and this does not look like that. It could be the woods behind her house too.... it doesn't have to actually be behind the house to film it that way. Whatever it is..... it's definitely a New Moon filming spot.

It's possible that it is the break-up scene, but this is also a movie we're talking about. Though trying to keep as close to the book as possible, Chris/Melissa/whoever might've had to change some things around. It *is* possible that it is the Bella/Laurent meeting, most definitely. I can picture it, if they were to change the setting around a little. Like, Bella going to the place where she'd first told Edward that he was a vampire, etc. It would still be something that contained memories for her. Meh. Just my thoughts. xD

Yeah, in the documentary she says something like, "yeah, so we finished filming and realized we really didn't film an actual "meadow" scene, so we had to make one." I was thinking, HEY IDIOT, the meadow scene is like a major turning point in the entire book, and you "forgot" to film it. WTG. God I hope Chris Weitz does a better job!
