No Saturday Night Live for Robert Pattinson This Season

200904051617.jpg Unfortunately, Robert Pattinson won’t be hosting Saturday Night Live anytime soon, despite rumors that he might–

However, SNL’s head honcho, Lorne Michaels, tells OK! that the show won’t be getting an infusion of vampire blood just yet.

“Not this season,” he said at Natural Resources Defense Council 11th annual Forces For Nature benefit in NYC. “We’re all locked in with the hosts for this year.”

But is there hope that Rob will be palling around with cast members Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig in the future?

“Yeah, yeah, of course,” he said.

No SNL for Robert Pattinson [thanks, Andrea!]

i hope he gets to do it sometime! he's alerady wicked funny, he would rock snl ;D
  • Reba
Rob is a great actor, but I'm not convinced this is something he would even want to do. Has he even ever done comedy? I don't think he'd be able to keep a straight face.

I sense there is a real effort to hold Rob back these days so Zac Efron can be front and center. Zac will be hosting SNL on April 11 and he also won the Breakthrough Performer award at ShoWest last week. It's very frustrating when the media decides to ignore someone who is truly incredible over someone who has been around for a while. Hopefully Rob will be featured next year because he certainly deserves it! We love you, Rob!

SNL would be awesome. Rob is funny and likes to make fun of himself. They would rag on Kristen really bad though. They would make fun of her and be ruthless about it. He might not go along with that so much. He would be great to watch though!
  • Lainaaa
Ohh mannn! I would absolutely die if he was on it. I watch it almost every saturday! Andy Samberg already rules my life but having Rob on there would make it a hundred times more enjoyable!! :D

Omg... he looks so cute in that picture... that smile of his *sighs* so dazzling!!
Ehh I really don't care if he shows up on that or not, he's good either way... love him tonz =]
  • i love rob
I've already commented, but might I add....he looks so freaking cute in this picture!!! Love his smile! YUMMY!
  • Jennifer
I don't think Rob is SNL material at alllllll! Really? I can't believe some of you actually if you really sit around and think about it think that he would be cool with something like this?
  • honey_bee
    Rob is a lovable goofy dork, and I mean that in the most sincere way. Rob's humor is what I adore about him. He loves to make fun of himself too, which is a major plus ! After hearing his DVD commentary, how can anyone not picture Rob on Saturday Night Live? It was the first thought that popped into my head, and apparently a lot of others as well. ;}
  • i love rob
I think he could totally pull it off! Especially if they give him skits where he makes fun of himself! He would be a natural!
  • WOW, how freaky, I was just thinking about this yesterday...& I had NO idea that there was even a rumor floating around about him possibly being on SNL. Ok, so Lorne says not this season, perhaps next season then, I'd LOVE to see him on, I think he'd be great!
  • Sherri Smith
I don't normally watch SNL... but if Robert was on it you best believe it would be dvr'ed!!!
  • KINALuvzWolves
That's too bad, I bet he'd be hilarious.
  • 30yearoldtwifan
I would love to see Rob on SNL I think he would completely Rock! and have us all lauging!
  • i love rob
He would be great on SNL!!!! Maybe they'll book him for the next season since they already have this season planned out! He is naturally funny, so he would do such an incredible job!

Not only could they get him as the host, but he could also be the musical guest! How awesome would that be?????
  • CullenFan
Yeah!! Host + musical guest....I think Justin Timberlake does that--now THAT guy is freaking hilarious on SNL.
  • socialromance
now, THAT would be epic. On the commentary for Twilight, Rob is hilarious, so he'd fit right in on that part, and being the musical guest, it's perfect.
    I vote Rob for SNL.
  • i love rob
Me too!!! I totally vote Rob for SNL!

And anyway, Tina Fey should have some pull on who they book for SNL!!! She thinks Rob is sexy....and Rob thinks she's sexy too!!! Hee hee!!!
  • Hey LUV YOUR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aw man :( i think he would be so great on SNL. hopefully he does it in the future! he's so funny when he's just being himself, that perfect for SNL
  • Kelsi
I don't normally watch SNL, so I'm ok with this. But it would be pretty hilarious.
  • I don't really care because we don't get to see it in Britain, however...it would be beezer to have him do "The Sunday Night Project"!!!!!
  • rach101
I totally agree, us Brits never get to see these shows anyway :(
  • I wonder if there is anyway to get in touch with Justin Lee Collins or Alan Carr to request that he gets a slot on their show, it would be hilarious, I could just imagine a sketch they'd do with Alan dressed as Bella and Robert biting him! LMAO

Anyone who hasn't seen the Sunday Night Project won't have a clue what I'm talking about.. But anyone who has will understand how funny that would be!
  • rach101
OMG! that would be epic, haha i can see it now.
  • it would be great too see him on snl he is such a funny guy i would deff watch that epsiode if he was on it
  • ryet
But he won't be on it because he is liked by tweens and teens, and of absolutely no interest to the adult (and huge male) audience.

Also, he is not good enough in front of a camera (as himself) to pull off television hosting jobs.

    Also, he is very young.
  • honey_bee
    Hmm. You're kidding, right? I believe a good majority of posters on this blog alone are 20, 25, 30 yrs old and up. For some reason the media constantly links Twilight and "The RPattz" to tweens and teenagers, but there is a HUGE fan base that consists of 20, 30, 40 year olds and counting. I also think the majority of Robert's fans are in the 20, 30, 40 plus age range. He appeals to everyone of all ages, but for some reason the media isn't catching on yet, but they eventually will. ;}

As for the male audience, that didn't stop Justin Timberlake or any of the other "teenage heartthrobs" from hosting. I think males would watch out of curiosity. Robert is huge, everyone is talking about him. Everyone!
