Here’s a HQ version of the official wolf pack photo that was revealed last night by USA Today. In it, you can more clearly make out the tattoo that each member of the wolf pack is inked with. It seems to be something like the Cullen Crest–a new graphic symbol invented just for the movie. Consider it a logo for all the New Moon merchandise we’ll be seeing–and which I’ll be undoubtedly buying.

In preparation for the Australian release of Twilight, a radio station down under has interviewed New Moon star Ashley Greene. You can listen to the show on their site (April 21st show), or download it directly as an mp3. It’s also available as a free podcast on iTunes. She talks about Robert Pattinson, her earlier work and seems to hint at Eclipse and New Moon filming together.
[thanks, Marnie and Anita!]
Chris Weitz has revealed an interesting detail on how the shapeshifting werewolves in New Moon will appear once they transform into wolf form. Though they will be computer generated creatures the size of horses, the eyes will be digitally pasted on from the actors’ actual eyes, in order to make them as realistic as possible. Weitz also notes that the wolf pack has been bonding quite a bit in preparation for their roles–
The Twilight sequel is filming now, and between takes, the actors usually are working out with barbells, doing push-ups or chowing down on steak, Weitz says. “They went through wolf camp together, and they are in constant training. It paid off as a bonding thing for them and helped them to get to know one another. They drove each other to get more buff.”
Wanted: Birth and brawn

Yes, you are seeing this right–it’s the wolf pack from New Moon, shirtless and in their movie attire at last . Or rather, their lack of attire-
Among wolf pack job requirements: the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.
“It’s not pleasant for the actors,” says director Chris Weitz. “But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, ‘OK, off with the robes.’ “
Thank you, James White, for the amazing photograph. More, please!
UPDATE:We now have a high resolution version of the New Moon wolf pack shirtless, perfect for a desktop wallpaper.

The typically reliable Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood is reporting that David Slade, edgy director of Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night is in talks to possibly direct the Eclipse movie. He has reportedly already met with Stephenie Meyer as well as Summit President Erik Feig. No official word on this yet, so consider it a rumor at this point. What do you think of this choice if he ends up being picked for the job?
Another Director Discussed For ‘Eclipse’ [via TwiCrack]

We previously saw the exterior of the pool complex where the New Moon crew is filming the underwater portions of the cliff dive sequence, but now RobPattzNews brings these photos from the inside where the action takes place. The enormous set of green screens means this shot will have lots of special effects–I’m guessing that Chris Weitz is aiming to make this a visually stunning and memorable scene since it’s so pivotal to the plot of New Moon.
