Will the production of Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the Twilight Saga, begin in Spring 2010? There’s no official word yet, but that’s the timeline that The Wrap is proposing. They also have some interesting tidbits about the tight security on the forest set as well as the current filming schedule–
Most days, the production has had two units shooting. This past week, work began in the suburb of Coquitlam during the day and in the forests bordering the hilly neighborhood of West Vancouver at night.
Visiting the set has been impossible for locals, fans and the media, both local and international. “Last week the production tried to keep me back by claiming that they owned Burnaby Park while shooting there,” said Rik Fedyck, one of Vancouver’s most successful paparazzi. “They said their permit gave them the whole park,” he laughs, “I checked their permit with City Hall and it was only for the parking lot in the public park.”
The New Moon cast recorded a special greeting for Italian New Moon fans–in full birthday party attire, at what looks like the new Cullen house! Check the video for the greeting from the cast to Volterra!
Check out these gorg new outtakes from a photoshot that the Twilight cast did a while back for Instyle magazine. Rob certainly has a fancy pose in the third shot! Is that a sheep?
A reader over at Cullen Boys Anonymous sent in a report of a great weekend in Vancouver, where she had the opportunity to see New Moon cast members Kellan Lutz, Rachelle LeFevre, and Kristen Stewart. She also caught an instore performance by Jackson Rathbone’s 100 Monkeys. They caught up with Kellan during a jog–
As he was jogging by we got his attention and asked if he wouldn’t mind signing an autograph for us. He consented but wanted us to move closer to the hotel entrance to do it. He’s still jogging, so we start jogging so we don’t make him wait for us. Now you must realize that I’m in 3″ heels and definitely not a jogger myself. He starts kidding around with us and running in circles around us and says that if we want an autograph we gotta catch him, I have no hope in hell in catching him and I’m worried that I’m going to trip in the shoes I’m wearing. So I retort “I’m in heels, you don’t want me pulling a Bella and falling on my face trying to catch you” . He stopped and said “No I don’t want that, I would feel really bad if you hurt yourself”
Those TwiHards we told you about that travelled from Nashville to Vancouver for a chance at a glimpse at the New Moon madness had luck on their side–they ran into Kellan Lutz within an hour of their first day in town, at a local Starbucks–
“I said to Sara that’s Kellan and she didn’t believe it,” she told The Sun. “I said yes it is and she shut right down, she couldn’t get out of her seat.”
Leanne waited until Lutz had paid for his coffee and approached him, talking very, very fast.
“He couldn’t hear me, so I poked him in his enormous bicep,” she laughed. Lutz agreed to go around the corner to have his picture taken, to avoid further attention.
“When he went in to hug me for the photo it was very up close and personal,” she said. And it was great.”
